We visited this place on Monday evening for dinner with our family, very pathetic service by the manage. We request the food to be spicy/ hot but they gave us the mild food and upon asking him he was giving us an excuse rather than listening to us. All the time when I and my sister is having a conversation with him he didn’t even bother to listen us and just seeing other customers from that you can imagine how bad customer service they are providing while we are paying a lot for food which is not even an average food. The total food was waste and he was not even trying to pay attention to us he was just arguing with us on the name of franchisee because as per him the restaurant is under franchisee base and they can’t do custom food I mean we only ask to make food spicy/ hot there is no other customisation we asked for I mean I am a Chef and I know you can’t do changes on the food more but we only ask for spicy food which I guess 99% of Indian restaurants are doing it rest 1% is this Dosa plaza botany when they gave an excuse for not doing it. Nothing much to say but good luck to the people who’ll be going there, I personally did not recommend or visit again. They have no sense of customer service but having a very great attitude 🥹 also didn’t offer any discount or anything as a manager just taken my number and ask me to wait for 48 hours to get a call from someone I don’t know whom ?

Food is average but the service is pathetic. The guy acting as the manager pretty clearly does not know how to do his job. He needs a real training before he's allowed to talk to the guests. Maybe even a course in hospitality (FULL TIME). If there was an option to give no stars that's the option I would've gone for.

I came in and the place was quite so I thought it would be lovely to have some hot south indian food to take away. I was not greeted and had to scramble to find a menu on one of the tables. I had a couple of questions about what I was wanting to order and to pick between some items. I waited for about 5 minutes while the staff spoke to each other in front of me. The lady at the counter was clearly frustrated at something that was happening on her screen. And although I was standing directly in front of her, I was not acknowledged. After a few minutes I looked at her for a while until she finally made eye contact and said 'can you wait?' in a rather rude and aggressive tone. I left. Unfortunately I don't think I would've received this treatment if I was white man or woman but because I am Indian this seems acceptable. Had she have acknowledged me right away and asked me kindly/politely, I would've been happy to wait. I understand what it takes in such an environment but it doesn't take much to be nice. I won't be stepping foot back here and will defer any friends and family too.

Poor customer service, I ordered two dosa and they told us that it will be spicy, Too much onions and it wasn't chopped properly. Both Dosa were not even hot, were as cold as ice. Customer service is really bad and the one on counter who took my order doesn’t even have ethics to talk decently with their customers. He was so rude and did poor service. Overall, it was worst experience, pity that it was first time I ordered there anything. Don’t go after name, though they’re “dosa plaza” but it’s not upto taste.

Refund has been provided - thank you. Badly Burnt Naan. I bought 13 naans for takeaway last night for a function and most of them were badly burnt. My guests had no choice but to eat it as we did not have any other food. It was quite embarrassing - please kindly provide a refund or credit note.

Not recommended. Took ages to get food which had raw onions and mysore masala dosa filled with tomato ketchup and mint chutney. Also, didn’t know chef garnishes the rice with their hair on it.

What a nice place. On the New Years day 1/1/2023, we flew into Auckland, NZ, we were hungry and looking for a place to eat. We were recommended another Panjabi food place in Botany. Went there, the owner said since we did not have a reservation; three of us will have to sit on a table for two (mind you the restaurant was 3/4 empty). I asked my son to look for another Indian restaurant nearby and we were lucky enough to find Dosa Plaza. We called, the owner said they will be glad t o accommodate three of us on a short notice. When we arrived, we were promptly seated and the menu provided. Though the restaurant was fairly busy, Food was prepared in 15 minutes. Both the Food and Service were great. When I went to pay the bill, the owner turned out to be a very nice person and just amazing. We chatted for quite some time. What a guy, what a place, that made us happy and gave a boost to the New Year.... Way to go... Thank you for everything. Would recommend it easily...

We were served rotten potatoes in masala dosa, that was smelling bad even from 2 m away, found hair in sambhar, when asked manager, her attitude was really bad, very very rude. Worst food experience, worst manager and worst serve. I won't recommend this restaurant as even after complaining about spoiled potatoes, they served same stuff to other people, they even served that to kids. Such a shame 😞

Ordered following items: Manchow soup- Very very oily. Had 1 inch layer of oil on top and absolutely no taste. This soup is your one way ticket to heaven. Masala dosa- This was edible and probably the only edible item. Sambar way too tangy. Coconut chutney tasted stale. Chocolate milkshake- Very sweet and tasted as made from trimmed milk. Maximum cost cutting. Hakka noodles- Never arrived. We had to argue for a refund 45 minutes later. Felt bad for the servers. They were doing their best but short staffed for the number of guests and lack of management. The counter person/ manager was rude and lacked ability to handle pressure with busy hour. Food not the best will not recommend to anyone to go again.

Who said that vegetarian food is boring? I feel like I was taken to India with their mouth watering food. For vegetarians or non it’s a place to enjoy the goodness of India. My tip is ask your Indian friend to come because most of the menus are not your typical Indian cuisine and the menu option is complex.

We made an phone order for takeway drinks but when we went there the lady who served us was really rude. I just say hi, to her she didn't even reply and said wait for a minute in very rude way. I don't want to give even a single star to you. You should teach them how to serve customers first. Thanks!

Very pathetic service by manager, worst food. We visited this place on Monday evening while they were not really busy still our food was worst, no taste at all.. when we said to one of the staff we notice he has pass message to manager but as a manager he didn’t even try to come to us and check what’s wrong. Which is shows his bad attitude and no management skills. While we went to pay the bills we again mention our disappointment although he didn’t even bother to give any discount or free meal while we didn’t even eat most of the food… and he only ask for our contact no and said he will give it to franchisee, I mean as a manager if he don’t hold the right to give any discounts then I feel sorry for him.. Very disappointed with this place. Poor service, poor management… great attitude 😄

Went there yesterday after almost a year. Service was pathetic. Guy at the counter seemed disinterested in serving the customers. We had to ask for water and cutlery. Usually they leave a water bottle at the table. Almost an hour to bring the food. Food was neither tasty, Idli was not fresh. *****And please use gloves when putting straw in the drink***** Hygiene was very poor I hope this review is taken seriously to improve the service.

We ordered our dinner for 5:15pm as that was the 1st option given to have food ready. As we were in a hurry n needed to be elsewhere, upon arriving at 5:22pm we were still asked to wait 6 plus minutes. I told them I did not have time n asked to deliver it instead n was refused bluntly. I then asked for a refund, but instead of giving me a refund he gets on the phone keeping me waiting despite telling him I'm running late. Disgraceful n rude. If you cannot have food ready at a certain time maybe don't give the customers that option. The poorest service ever with no compromises. Staff need to be taught how to respond to customers in a politer manner.

I ordered from here, thinking about the amazing experiences I have had at the Dominion Road branch. But Botany was a let down, the veg Manchurian was badly burnt and the noodles were just tasteless.

Dosa Plaza Botany used to be one of our favourite dining place. Last evening we went there after a while and it was disappointing to see that the food was just not what it used to be. The whole experience was so bad that we even asked the waiter if the management has changed. Also, the plates have been changed to plastic plates.... making the whole feel and atmospheric very substandard. I think that was the end of Dosa Plaza chapter for us. Never going there again.

We went there for lunch, service was so poor no one greeted us so we just went and grabbed a table. Food is average 🙄 and over priced. They mucked up our order we ordered malasa dosa with potato filling they gave us the one with cabbage inside. Not recommending this place and never going back there. Poor service Overpriced

The Indochinese is a must try. Love the Manchurian and Hakka Noodles! Tasted pretty authentic to what you get in India. Oh and Chinese Bhel was something new and tasty.

Went there with great expectations on king’s birthday for dinner.The location and the ambiance is surely a plus but if you are someone who had tasted the actual dosa/momo/indo Chinese soup elsewhere pleas be prepared for some disappointment.Definitely not worth it when you (un)happily paid 80 bucks for the two of you. However I must say the youngest girl in the serving crew was a saving grace for the place . She always had a smile on and appeared to be a lot more customer friendly than the rest of the crew.

Terrible food, stale and super dry and staff that didnt care. Never ordering again. $24 for one box that’s gone straight into the rubbish bin. Extremely disappointed. Waste of money.

I ordered chilli momos, forget about chilli, they didn't even put enough salt. And when I called to give feedback, that guy was like I don't care. Feedback call made at 8.53 pm on Saturday. I clearly told the guy that I don't want free stuff in case he was thinking and was showing me I don't care attitude. Moreover he hung up on me. I will put same feedback on other channels as well.

Food that we ordered was really good. Portion size and taste was quite nice. But customer service is not great( no greeting and smile while serving), it needs a lot improvement on it.

My family and I enjoyed a great lunch at dosa plaza today. We were a bit worried, as we had seen a lot of negative reviews, but our experience was very positive. The menu is huge, which is a bit overwhelming for vegetarians used to normally only having a few options. We ordered the thali and paneer combo plates, and a masala cottage cheese dosa. It didn’t take too long and everything was very tasty. Some dishes were a little spicy for our kids, but nothing crazy. The waitress was friendly and we had enough food for leftovers!

Very rude we waited 1 hour and all we got was the Keri orange juice that my daughter ordered $6.90 for a 350ml juice which very expensive and compared to casino it would be cheaper. We also asked multiple times when our food would come and they couldn’t be bothered to respond to us.

Amazing service and food. We have toddler with us during the visit. Amarnath (staff member) is very generous person and provided wonderfull service.

I tried to call the restaurant and place an order for the first time. A lady picked up the call and I asked is there any curry dish similar to butter chicken and obviously VEGETARIAN. She said sorry we don’t have butter chicken and hang up on me… I called again, trying to let her know I’m not ordering butter chicken in a vegetarian restaurant and she hang up on me again! Not a good experience for trying vegetarian Indian food…

The food is so bad, so extra spicy that even someone I know that eats spicy food couldnt handle it. The portion was so little, doesn't matter as it was too spicy anyway. I am peeved off for spending $20-40 on such bad food. It's the first time in a long time we had to throw food away.

I had dinner today at dosa plaza and it was one of my worst dinner ever, service quality is too poor.. I ordered entree and main food and I got everything at once while I finished my entree everything was cold..no customer service at all, worst experience, they were pretty good at everything but not anymore.. don't waste your time and money to going over there...

We ordered tandoori momos and schezwan noodles.Firstly, momos are too expensive for the quality and taste . They tastes terrible with all the cheap marination with colour and ingredients. And noodles, not worth the price. There are quite a few places that are far better taste wise. Not recommended at all.

Have visited this place a lot of times, sometimes the food is good and sometimes food is average. Customer service is the poorest. The staff is always like they don’t care about customers, no respect at all. Hygiene is not maintained well, floor is sticky most of time, menu was dirty and table was sticky as well. Water bottle had fungus grown on it and it turned black, looks like was never cleaned since it was bought. Black part in picture was blue and turned black because of fungus grown on it.

It was a very bad experience , not so friendly staff making faces. I order masala dosa and noodle. There was no taste i requested the staff member to add salt and some chilli in noodles. They added so much of chilli flakes on the tops and again no salt. It was so bad and too spicy I wasted my money. I do not recommend this restaurant to any of friend.

Ordered through ubereats. It was so delicious as always with high quilty of ingredients and awesome packaging. Thank you chefs 👨‍🍳. Highly recommended.

Pathetic food! Man who was at the counter had zero customer service skills. No warmth or smile on the face. The food had no flavour- we ordered north and south Indian food. And quantity was so small. I use to love this place and their food but their quality has gone down so bad.

Do not get takeaways as the portion sizes are too small. Really good food when dining in. Full of flavour and authentic Indian taste. We have tried almost everything and apart from pasta, everything is good.

Pathetic service by manager or the gentleman who was on the service desk showing very busy and was just standing on the counter and kind of no customer service etiquettes. People who served food not welcoming and I can understand if the lead person is showing no warmth to customers then how would the staff know. They should learn customer service for sure. Food was average too. Food was served before and plates were late and staff just put plates on table in a way that we should be grateful that they are serving food to us.. Cant call either food or service extra ordinary. And if you want to order again, they ask you very rudely to fill the list again. I hope they improve their customer service.

Food had no taste , flavor except extremely spicy and we had told to make medium. Their Indo Chinese dishes were terrible and we couldn't touch. We asked to make semi gravy and they made it extremely liquidly ,Manchurian balls and cheese pieces were floating in the gravies. That guy i think he’s Manager extremely rude. They don’t know how to talk you guys should close this restaurant. Extremely bad service.

First time visit this morning; I had the pasta, momos & dosa. Had never tasted dosa or momos, but loved the flavour of food especially the pasta so I had ordered another for takeaway. I only asked that "garlic not be added" to my pasta (as I dont eat garlic) which was served as requested (thank you Chef). I would definitely eat here again. Service, environment & cost reflects in the overral food experience. Awesome venue 🙂

Half of things we ordered never arrived and they tried to charge us for the food which did not arrive. Upon telling the owner at the counter he simply said ok and no apologies or anything. Poor food and poor customer service don’t waste your precious time and money on this restaurant.

I drove all the way with family from Papakura to try dosa. There was no taste like dosa just normal curry. Waited my time and money. One star because nothing available less than this. Will stay away from this place in future.

Food was not up to the standard , dominion road has better food quality and service , Mysore Dosa had no mysore chutney applied to it , Masala Dosa stuffing was oily and not enough stuffing . Person who was taking payment didnt care when addressed this feedback.

Good to see they had so much choice of other menus but since it's a "Dosa" eatery, they need to keep with the dosa theme. I am sure South India have variety of real authentic dosas. Dosas on the menu weren't very Indian. Service was good. Good was good too. Loved seeing rose falooda on the menu though this particular flavour wasnt ideal (had bought it from a packet of the same taste which I dont ĺike). We order the below in pictures but wasnt impressed with the manchurian noodles (noodles too soft and texture less). Next time will go for the Haka noodles instead. Manchurian fired rice was yummy along with all others that we ordered. Will be back. Would like to try the different dosas and see what they are like.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Really huge menu so make sure you're strategic with your table so you can try a bit of everything. Great service, really quick delivery. Must try: Tandoori Momo's, like the most delicious dumplings but a bit spicy, tangy, and very delicious

Ordered Veg Manchurian Dry. Quantity and quality both poor. Test like burnt and extra salty. I had also ordered Dosa which was really test nice.

Ordered Filter coffee, paid 6:50 $ almost, but not worth at all. Staffs are everywhere floating around. Front counter girl don't know how to smile? Got the red colour sechewan noodles. Very poor quality 😢 you guys have to learn from another branch, they are much better then yours. Dury manager was on and off from the floor to helped the kitchen. Long weekend they must be organized in advance. Not recommended

Another ram raid in Auckland Ordered sev puri - not Golgappe no, no gol gappe water $12.90 Charged $3 for 50 ML Golgappe water Royal falooda - no noodles, no seeds in it … milk with ice-creme and roohafja $14.90 6 momos for $23.90 Honey chilly cauliflower $18.90 Addressed to the lady at the counter about the issue and she was like yes I know this is the way we served the food. Which is not her mistake, it’s the owners… Super expensive and a rip off.
