A beautifully done hotel, right in the heart of Britomart. Front of house staff is very polite, friendly and professional. Every piece of furniture, painting, linen, drink has been hand picked. Loved the room, the way it was decorated. Only down side would be not enough space in the room. It was being in a hotel in Tokyo. Very compact. Other than that this first 5 green star hotel in New Zealand rocks.

Wonderful experience and stay at this hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and lights, shutters and temperature were all electronically controlled though a panel. The location was very central and didn't have to take any public conveyance to get any place. All the best restaurants and shopping were within wslking distance The concierge of the hotel was very kind enough to walk with our luggage to the shipping dock rolling our luggage with us and wouldn't accept any compensation for his service.

Beautiful, clean rooms. The hotel is gorgeous and it was so nice to come back home every day. The only thing was it would get sooo hot at night. The rooms had air con controls but it was not very cool. High end options in the room. Loved it. Also awesome location, there’s like 4 restaurants just outside of the hotel and so many more just in that block.

Brandnew Hotel with a great sense of sustainability Right in the middle of downtown next to the ferry building. Plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee shops are around paired with the service of a 5 star hotel. 👌

We stayed at the hotel Britomart while in Auckland for a few days. The rooms are incredible! Very beautifully designed. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Due to a storm , we had difficulty hailing a taxi for our international flight. But Kieran at the front desk literally ran around the block in rain to find one for us so we could make our flight! This hotel is the definition of great customer service. Rick was also very helpful in giving us great restaurant recommendations. Knowing I was vegan, he suggested some great places for us. Will be staying here again!

I had such a wonderful solo stay at The Hotel Britomart. The room is beautiful with lovely handmade ceramics and cosy decor - plus, they have decent coffee for when you wake up in the morning! I enjoyed a couple of nice cocktails at kingi in the late afternoon while I read my book and the staff were very attentive - definitely worth checking out. The staff at reception were also super lovely. I stayed in a Galway Lane room.

A couple of years ago, we had to spend some time in hotels in the CBD while work was being done on our apartment, and we tried three different hotels. All of them were less than great (particularly due to the noise of inner city living) so when we found ourselves in the same situation again last week, we decided to splash out a little and visit the Hotel Britomart. It turned out to be the best decision we've made in ages. A beautiful, understated room, incredible staff and absolutely no noise from outside. Everything about our experience felt thoughtful, from the design of the room (power points everywhere! an intuitive control panel!) to the friendly staff who seemed to anticipate our needs, to the location, which is really blooming now that both Britomart and Commercial Bay are in operation. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Great location, easy access to ferries, trains and buses. The room is perfect after a busy day of exploring Auckland. Surrounding area has some fantastic restaurants and cafe's. The reason for 3 stars is the hotel room service for cleaning and restocking was not what one expects when paying in this price range. So overall good. Recommend for location.

The hotel entrance is a little awkward since it’s not on the main road, but once you enter the hotel you’re transported to a beautifully designed space. The rooms are small but very luxurious and comfortable. Love the blinds that allow you to make the room completely dark and get some nice zzzs amidst their comfy bedding and pillows. The staff were very warm and welcoming, the service was impeccable. Moreover, the location is convenient, close to the harbor, shops and restaurants. Enjoyed our stay in the Waitemata room.

Beautiful and cool new hotel in a fantastic location in a buzzy neighborhood. Very friendly staff. We ate dinner twice at the hotel restaurant, the Kingi, and the food and ambience were both wonderful. We had a room with a great view of the harbor. We didn't get a chance to get a drink at the wine bar, the Library, but it looked spectacular.

First time in New Zealand, and a great choice of Hotel. Excellent location, friendly staff, and very good food. The design and architecture of the building make it very unique, as does its sustainability credentials. Well worth a visit.

I had the pleasure of photographing an Elopement in the Rangihoua Suite this past week. The team at Hotel Britomart were an absolute delight to work with for the beautiful elopement. The details they provided the couple were gorgeous and the room itself, with the stunning terrace was a dream. I can't wait for the next wedding at Hotel Britomart!

The service at The Hotel Britomart is unlike any I've had before. The staff were so polite and attentive, and nothing was too much for them. Our room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable I slept through my alarm. We loved how close it was to everything and how luxurious it felt. Everything we ate was delicious and the service in the resturant was just as amazing, we were treated as if we were the only people there. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making our stay so enjoyable.

Have stayed here many times but recently have changed my mind about the staff. Had an Indian guy laugh at me on the phone this morning because I asked for something to be bought up to my room. A couple of their staff are very rude, but there are still a couple that were lovely but need to have a talk to the ones that are extremely rude and unwelcoming. Also have a terrible rule about not being up Uber food because it’s not their food. Absolutely stupid considering they are 5 star and “earth friendly” yet they don’t have any options for vegans for food. Ended up being offered fried but got a tiny amount of chips that looked and tasted like peoples left over chips off their plate. Disgusting food once again. Also stayed once before and was served terrible food and all we got was a half apology.

The location is awesome. The rooms are compact but very nice. Beds and pillows are superb. Then we get to service or rather lack of service. The staff are pleasant but were completely disorganised and I would go as far as to say shambolic. It began at check in with one staff member saying one of our 4 rooms was ready and we could put our stuff in there ( we were there early at 2pm so we were sweet with not checking in at that time and just leaving our stuff till 3pm) then the other staff member saying no rooms were ready. We were told nothing about anything, just took my money, told us we could and then couldn’t validate our parking, so confusing. Mentioned nothing about our breakfasts or anything about our rooms or the hotel. We got no invoice. We got the black card package and asked later how to use it, we were told to google it. Breakfast was also chaotic, the girl serving was very pleasant but didn’t know what we could order off the menu in our package ( told us one of everything) and then completely forgot our drinks. They arrived after we had all eaten. At checkout one of the family were requested to pay for their room that had already been paid for. And then we get home and we have been charged $107 for a bottle of wine no one drank. Honestly it really was more chaotic than I can make it sound. Totally ruined our family celebration weekend and not what I expected from the reviews and a high end hotel. Actually gave me a headache and I am yet to see the wine we didn’t have credited back. They have said they would but who knows!

The female waitress/manager was very rude, she spilt drinks over our guests with barley any apology. After ordering a drink half an hour ago and asking for it 3 time it was still not delivered. This is very poor service. The male waitress was however very lovely and helpful. The food was mostly Devine just a shame from the service from one server. To unfortunately add after dining there for dinner that night multiple of my friends who dined with me were up all night vomiting most likely from food poisoning.

Modern and cosy place to stay with fantastic restaurants. Located a stone's throw from the bustling Queen St, but is far enough to be peaceful. Nice view of the water if you manage to snag that. Most staff acknowledged you warmly when you enter the premises. Breakfast at Kingi can be a hit or miss depending on your proclivity for fish.

Great central location and super quiet. Room was top quality, bed comfort, shower quality, and black out blinds were stand out features. Service was great from lobby staff and bar staff.

Amazing 5 star sustainability hotel that is decorated with warmth and attention to detail. Located in a chic neighbourhood full of high end stores and the best restaurants. Really enjoyed my stay and felt good about staying in a sustainable hotel.

Such a beautifully appointed hotel, with so many tactile, special details. Loved the sustainable values that are woven throughout the experience. I could have moved in. Wonderful location, with so many great places to eat all in walking distance. Loads of shops, and super close to the ferry. Only downside is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Incredible location by the harbor, shopping and restaurants. New and super clean, but the rooms are very small. Super friendly staff and excellent service. We were indifferent about the food in the restaurant though and found other places to eat, including the incredible food court in the mall, just two blocks away.

Exceptional hotel, would say the nicest I have stayed in in NZ. Rooms are compact but very well thought out and all the finishings and furniture are of a high quality, everything is immaculate. Staff were friendly and had a laid-back feel while still being very professional. Our room had a lovely view over the busy port and the harbour, it was neat watching the works down there and the lights at night. Breakfast at Kingi was fabulous, hubby said the coffee was the best he has had in a long time. We will definitely be back

As a 5* service provider I pickup up and drop off guests at The Hotel Britomart. They all unanimous agree: a perfect experience every time, whether it's reception, hotel rooms or restaurants!! Always nice to get people on board who love staying at or visiting The Hotel Britomart. Compliments to the team of Clinton Farley!!

One of the most comfortable places I've ever stayed. Staff are lovely and the rooms, while small are immaculately designed. Had the best nights sleep here.

This hotel is beautiful and a lovely place to stay. It’s rooms were beautifully appointed and staff helpful and courteous. Their restaurant is tastefully decorated. My only criticism is that for a five star green hotel, it’s quite strange that plant based food options are not offered as part of their menus. They were able to modify dishes to accommodate a vegan option, but really for a place that is conscious of the environment it’s a big missed opportunity. They were very kind however and helped celebrate a birthday with a sweet card and macarons.

Had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Britomart (even though it was only one night) - lovely room, king size bed, with everything you need, top notch spec - especially the bathroom! And what a great location, so close to amazing restaurants (in fact, right next door to Cafe Hanoi which was just a mouthwatering dining experience). We found the staff to be lovely, so welcoming and happy to do absolutely anything to make your stay as good as possible. So many extras, like complimentary bicycles, and the very chic, beautifully designed in-house cocktail bar area "The Libraries" - a great place for a pre-dinner drink. Basically, this is a great hotel, they're doing everything right.

A good hotel in general , but the Hygiene(clean ) condition for the room was terrible and it doesn’t worth that price. Can you believe I found the last guests nail on the floor in my room and also fond last guests luggage stickers on the duvet ?????? It’s really terrible and distinguish. The other thing I need to mention is that when I checked in ( on 2:30pm ) they told me that the room was not ready and I need to wait til 3 pm and at the same time they give a same level room to another guest , I was really confused about it.

We held our wedding at The Hotel Britomart recently and cannot recommend this place enough! The Wairoa suite balcony was beautiful and the perfect place to hold our intimate ceremony. We loved our reception dinner in The Libraries, the staff were very attentive and the food and wine was delicious! We cannot speak more highly of Hannah the Event Sales Manager, she did an incredible job managing our special day. She had everything under control down to the smallest detail, great communication, caring and professional. Thanks again for the perfect day! 🥂

So good. Stayed overnight for a work trip. Room was great and bed was to die for. Incredible staff who were lovely and attentive. Totally recommend the onsite restaurant as well. Room came with breakfast and it was devine

Good location; nice staff, but it is not really 5* nor green. Facilities are poor and there are too many “rules” that staff have to apply that make it hard to relax. Rooms are small; windows sealed; greenwash features like composting cardboard to wrap the sewing kit in; low lighting; poor water flow rates; and the thinnest toilet tissue; don’t really make it green and don’t add up to the hotel we expected. The libraries were closed for our visit - shame as the reception and lounge areas are small and pinched.

We stayed here for one night and loved the room, service and location. Great restaurant, shopping and sites to see all within walking distance. The rooms had a cozy, warm, clean and bright feel - definitely the boutique hotel vibe we were after. The toiletries provided, including the sans cueticals body and hair wash, and lotion smelled incredible. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there was plenty of information in the room about what to do in the area. Lots of great sustainability initiatives as well which sealed the deal for me! My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. It is a bit $$$ but definitely worth it for a treat yourself trip!

Beautiful hotel with a luxurious feel. Spotless and located in a great area. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is better than a spa. We especially appreciated the staff here - my husband shipped a package to the hotel that was delayed and arrived after our stay. The reception staff was very helpful in getting the package shipped out to us. Highly recommend a stay while you're in Auckland!

Great hotel. The room was a bit small, but layout is great and it did not feel small. Sparkling clean. Service was exceptional. The location is good - in the middle of Britomart.

Perfect stay, beautiful rooms, clean and quiet 😃, in any case worth the money! The location is nearby the harbour, where you find many delicious options to eat and drink. Breakfast was outstanding, also the staff - thanks!

Gorgeous hotel. We had such a lovely hotel experience over 2 nights. Extremely comfortable and stylish with the natural materials used throughout. Amazing location to so many delish restaurants and bars. We loved that we could just pop downstairs and enjoy superb customer service and food at the restaurant on site and so many other options close by. The bed was super comfy and the shower next level indulgence. We will be back!

Had an amazing time during our stay! The staff were lovely, always checking in and very attentive. The bathroom products were organic and felt very luxurious. The room was thoughtfully laid out, with sun blinds, black out blinds and temperature settings to your liking. My baby slept for a full 8 hours for the first time! Woke up to great harbor views, i recommend getting atleast premium rooms for maximum experience! Enjoyed our meals at Kingi restaurant, very delicious and fresh. The customer service was excellent throughout our stay. Will definitely come back again 🥂
