😐 Great service and location; not totally accessible though and they're located upstairs and there is no lift. Food was tasty and filling. I really liked the crispy chicken dish except that perhaps the dressing should probably be in a jug so that you can pour as you eat otherwise the crispy chicken lo... People often mention sweet, Korean, pork, sour, dishes, good, seafood, delicious, great, sauce,

Great service and location; not totally accessible though and they're located upstairs and there is no lift. Food was tasty and filling. I really liked the crispy chicken dish except that perhaps the dressing should probably be in a jug so that you can pour as you eat otherwise the crispy chicken loses its crispy-ness.

Amazing and cheap Korean/Chinese fusion that's tucked away kept hush hush by those who know it well! Its 2 signature dishes are the Black bean noodle (Sweet and savoury) and Spicy seafood noodle soup (Spicy and savoury) which I can't recommend enough. Definitely a must try for foodies!

Great priced delicious Korean styled chinese food. Their set menu's are great value, with three dishes and two drinks for a great price. Friendly staff who served us. Atmosphere is upstairs and decorated as older korean houses, which i find cute.

Came here for the Jajjangmyeon (Noodles with Black Bean sauce) and, was inexpensive for the portion size. Taste was just like the Jajjangmyeon I had in Korea, and probably the best Jajjangmyeon in Auckland. Recommend if you are craving some Korean Jajjangmyeon.

Chinese-Korean fusion restaurant, we chose one of the specials that included 2x small dishes and 1x main dish for about $59. The taste (for me) leans more towards Chinese than Korean Style taste. Good price for a full meal for 2 people.

Came in search of black bean noodles (Jajangmyeon) and the serving is crazy value! Servings are decent, would recommend a group or at least a few people

One of the best Chinese Korean food restaurants in Auckland. They have some combo menu, try it if you like to eat more than two meals! It’s cheaper. Me and my friend had 1sour and sweet pork, 2 seafood soup noodles and 2cokes. It costs around $60. Enjoy it!

The main dish of this restaurant is their Jajangmyeon. You can have just the one plate of it to share between two people alongside some sweet and sour chicken. You’ll be pretty chuffed with that otherwise you can pack some home.

Went with dinner deal 50 dollars with two choices of noodles and two "small"dishes (which I would consider normal or medium size). Noodles really nice, and personal preference for sweet and sour beef (normally go for pork but this was with my Muslim friend) over the stir fried chicken with chestnut. I got it when you deep fired the meat with sweet and sour sauce on top afterwards, but I just didn't know why I asked for stir fried and it turned out deep fried and with sauce as well..just that I didn't want the two dishes I got were made similar way..and last, very friendly staff. Will pay another visit 😄

The best Korean-Chinese food you’re going to get in the city. Unlike most modern Korean restaurants where tteokbokki will cost you a limb, at Palsun you can get a full meal for under $20. Time capsule atmosphere as the interiors likely haven’t changed since early 2000’s. Don’t expect attentive service. Their jajangmyeon is a must try.

What we ordered: - No. 61 Noodles in black soybean sauce $14 - No. 31 Crispy and chewy sweet and sour pork $29 - No. 5 Fried pork dumplings $13 The dumplings were very good, we thought they'd have kimchi in them and we were mistaken but they still tasted great! They were pork dumplings with what I think were chives. They were pretty juicy and flavourful and I was very happy with them. They just weren't the sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour pork (tangsuyuk) was the best thing I've ever eaten. It's very commonly paired with jjajangmyeon so we obviously ordered both dishes. The jjajangmyeon was sweet, savoury, chewy and such good value for money. I think the pork was made with glutinous rice flour to make the batter a bit chewy and it was the best sweet and sour pork I've ever eaten. The sauce was so thick and flavourful and the batter was so so crispy. I can't describe how good it was, I'm still dreaming about it days later! Also, the portion was massive, we got the small size, split it between two and only ate about half of it, so I definitely think you get your money's worth! The dishes also came with pickled radish and it's very fun and crunchy and a great palate cleanser. Also, this place is just such a cute little hidden gem, it's just wonderful. Our server was also so sweet and wonderful! I just have nothing bad to say about my experience, I would sell my soul to get my hands on their recipes!

Nice food (I had the seafood black bean noodles) and reasonable prices. Service is also really good, my group didn’t know that they close at 3pm and stayed until 3:30pm- the lady was really nice about it and didn’t rush us. Only downside is that you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant (no wheelchair access).

Me and my wife were at CBD attending a school performing event at Aotea Center. We found this restaurant after parked. We ordered two spicy seafood soup with rice, where that is our favourite Korean dish. It turns out the food is absolutely nice that go beyond our expectation. The soup is delicious, with lots of seafood, mussels, cuttlefish, shrimps, onion, vegetable etc. This is one of the best spicy Korean I have experienced. Will definitely go back and recommended to my friends. Btw, will order mild spicy level next time, as the original spicy level is a bit too hot for us.

Super delicious, reasonable price, fast service. Highly recommended! Fried jjamppong is especially great, and black bean noodles are good. Jjamppong noodle soup was too bland though.

Absolutely love their jjangmyeon, the noodle were cooked perfectly, generous portion and sauce. They are just right, not overly sweet. Tried their stir fried seafood noodles, tasted great but found some broken shell pieces which probably got shattered while cooking.

The jjajangmyeon was as delicious as last time. Very authentic and filling! I have been craving it since the last time I was in Auckland. We had an issue with the Uber delivery driver (Ubers fault) but the manager was super lovely and accommodating. Will definitely be back :)
