My best friend and I stayed one night at Hotel Fitzroy and we both love this accommodation so much that we already discussed when we would like to visit again. The evening catch up was very special and we had fun chatting with other guests. Food, beverage and snacks were so generous. Sarah and all the lovely staff provided the nice environment and the best service. Our breakfast was amazing as they offered good variety of food. The location of Hotel Fitzroy is close to Ponsonby Central and we enjoyed our walk around Ponsonby. We highly recommend Hotel Fitzroy curated by Fable️️️️️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything was so perfect 😍

This place is the best. The host is extremely friendly and prepared us some ginger lemon tea. We couldn't find the parking. He told me that just park on the grass in front of the hotel. He asked what and what time we wanted for breakfast the next day. So we picked our food. But this is what we expected to come. Even the bread is awesome cause they just came out from the oven and are still warm. I stayed in so many hotels in the US. Never get service like this.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Fitzroy, we were very comfortable and staff was very friendly, helpful and caring for our every need. Located in city fringe - it’s a nice pocket of Auckland to explore with lots of restaurants and shops.

Last minute we decided to stay at a Hotel when we arrived in Auckland. We managed to book the last two remaining rooms we went with another couple. We arrived a few hours after booking, and we were completely blown away. Steven was a friendly host who made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed, we were shown to our room and it was just amazing, the level of detail was shown in the rooms, down to the shampoo and conditioner, that was curated for us. We really apprecaited our stay it was stress free, and beautiful. We were only meant to stay one night, but we decided to stay two, and they were able to add another night on for us no worries at all. Both mornings we received a complimentary breakfast, which so devine and jsut perfect! All in all, a fabulous stay, recommend to all and we will be back!

We stayed at Hotel Fitzroy for two nights when we first arrived in Auckland, and it was the perfect place to get acquainted with the city and New Zealand. The room, staff and in-room dining were all fantastic. The hotel is also in a great location—really close to a fun neighborhood with plenty of bars and restaurants, but far enough from the city center to be calm and quiet. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but the on-site staff were very helpful!

I truly wish that I could give this hotel and its wonderful staff a million stars. The staff is absolutely amazing. The second you walk in the door, you feel right at home. We stayed here twice, bookending our tour throughout NZ, each time was superb. Peter, Kal, Leo-- the entire team was incredible. The hotel feels like you're in a beautiful, private home-- the rooms are cozy and the evening social hour up in the library is a special opportunity to meet other guests while sipping on a glass of lovely wine. The location is perfect, close enough to the main road so you're within walking distance to all the fun shops and restaurants but removed enough so that you return home to a quiet atmosphere. The breakfasts in the morning are to die for, we are still talking about them! So much care and attention is paid to this hotel. It is evident that the staff goes above and beyond to help their guests however they can. We hope to stay here again soon and we offer our gratitude to the Hotel Fitzroy staff for all of their kindness!

Hotel Fitzroy is an incredible experience. From the moment we arrived we felt taken care of and relaxed. The check in process is fantastic and the facilities are top notch. Room was spacious and well appointed, bed was very comfortable. Complimentary mini bar is appreciated and the library where they serve nightly drinks and snacks is a fantastic inclusion. We felt it was value for money with everything that is a part of a Hotel Fitzroy stay. Steven was stand out for us and we thank him for his service. The first night we had a turn down service which included sleep tea which we loved. Thank you we will definitely be back and recommending to all!

We have just had a wonderful two night stay at Hotel Fitzroy in Ponsonby. The service was five star from Ana, Kal & Hina & their attention to detail was excellent. Lovely drinks & canapés were served to us on the balcony & the breakfast both days was delicious. Really comfortable bed in the Stirling suite. Fabulous luxury. We will be back!

My spouse and I stayed here during our first night in Auckland. It was a wonderful place to stay the room was comfortable and CLEAN. The staff was very accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here during a business trip and it was hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed at in Auckland. The team are lovely and made it feel like a home away from home. The room was so cozy and the treat of breakfast in bed every morning was incredible! Couldn’t recommend this location more, an absolute must if you’re staying in Auckland!

We just returned from a December 2022 trip to New Zealand. This is an outstanding place to stay in Auckland. This hotel combined the charm of a historic home with contemporary design and modern amenities. The staff was terrific, but the best part was probably the location: Ponsonby was amazing, with boutique shops, bookstores, and great restaurants. The daily breakfast (included) at Hotel Fitzroy was quite good, but skip it one day to try the to-die-for breakfast at Foxtrot Parlour – it’s in Ponsonby Central, which is a multi-restaurant-and-coffee-shop food hall a short walk away from Hotel Fitzroy.

Fairytale experience from the moment we stepped into the building. Impeccable presentation tailored towards comfort and relaxation. Not just a beautiful boutique hotel in a great location with walking distance to Ponsonby restaurants and bars…. Hina & the team went above and beyond to make it a really special weekend (including retrieving my earring that fell down the sink!). Cannot wait to come back to NZ and stay again. Thank you all x

We were here to catch up with friends that we hadn’t caught up with for quite a while with all the lock downs etc. Drinks at 5pm was a great way to start the evening and the excellent location leant to an easy walk to a large selection of restaurants. We would recommend something but everything we had was amazing. A beautiful room and the most comfortable bed meant a good nights sleep, then you wake up to a delicious breakfast that has everything you could want or need. Our thanks to the chefs. The staff are wonderful, shout out to Sarah and Tony for elevating our experience and going above and beyond. We had to shoot back home to work both days and they kept a plate of canapé for us even though we were a little bit late back. Incredibly thoughtful, felt like we were missed. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

This was our second time staying at Hotel Fitzroy and it won’t be our last. A beautiful hotel, amazing staff (Steven in particular went above & beyond to make us feel welcome and to ensure we enjoyed our stay). Great location, close to Ponsonby Road and the little extras such as the complimentary minibar, amazing breakfast and nightly drinks is what sets Hotel Fitzroy apart from other hotels.

Everything about our stay at Fable was sublime! Absolutely 5 stars! The staff, especially Hina was extremely attentive and responsive to ensure a great stay. The breakfast was divine, the mini bar was much appreciated and very well stocked. The afternoon canapés and drinks in the library were also amazing. Could not recommend more highly for a lovely stay in Auckland.

A colleague and I stayed here in July 2022 for a two-night business trip to Auckland and it's definitely one of the best hotels I've experienced in/near the city. The location is perfect if you want a quiet place to stay but that's close to plenty of restaurants, shopping and easily accesses the Auckland CBD. The staff are outstanding, helpful and friendly and they make you feel like you're staying at a mate's place but with respectful distance. The included breakfast delivered to your room is a memorable touch; the food is delicious and it's very convenient to be able to choose your breakfast time, especially if you're heading out to work for the day. Amenities in the room like a heated bathroom floor, great minibar inclusions, some movies for free on the TV and the tablet compendium are thoughtful and well executed.
