👍👍 Really nice place!! Tons of different events to see. I was there for a hockey tournament. However, I walked around and saw several different indoor sports activities. I was really surprised to the e-sports facility. Very clean, nice looking, and friendly staff. People often mention facility, courts, soccer, hockey, sports, indoor, field, volleyball, nice, tournament,

Wow, state of the art huge sports plex. Looks like you play about any sport invented here. Clean, modern, well kept, thought out parking and design.

Awesome new sports complex. Plenty big. Here are a few aerial drone shots of the complex outside.

This is a very impressive sport center. Two hockey rinks (the DM Oak Leafs play there), three basketball courts, pickle ball courts, a full size soccer field, eSport area, and baseball practice area with batting cages and pitching mounds. There is also a place to eat if you are planning to spend the full day.

This is a great venue for volleyball. Love the court setup with ample seating and room for teams to spread out.

Very nice sports facility. We were there for a volleyball tournament and this place handled the large amount of teams with ease (except for concessions and parking but they know that) there were a total of 22 volleyball court set up in the facility 3 on one of the hockey rinks, 6 on the hard courts, 11 on the indoor soccer field and 2 on the sports courts. Hopefully other volley tournament directors notice this and bring more large tournaments to the area because it would be nice to have more of these size tournaments in the Metro and not have to drive 2.5-3+ hrs.

The City of West Des Moines needs to build an additional parking lot if they are going to host a large volleyball tournament. No private organization would be allowed to have such flagrant parking violations. Also the concessions system is broken. Lines literally stretching across the whole building, and then out of most items by the time you get to the front. Easily the least enjoyable youth tournament venue I've ever been to.

We are so fortunate to have a sports complex this size available to use in our Des Moines metro area. I feel this place puts Iowa on the map in America. Unbelievably accommodating. Spotlessly clean, wonderful and knowledgeable staff. The concession stands were fast with excellent food and drink choices. Very very affordable concessions. Ample trash cans and perfect seating to enjoy our lunch breaks. Plus ample USB ports. The wifi was outstanding on the 1st day there, then nonexistent on the 2nd day. Over all an excellent experience. A++

TLDR: *Sarcasm* "Conveniently located away from any low income residents" Great work West Des Moines prioritizing a recreational facility near the wealthiest residents who can already afford memberships to lifetime athletic. Would be a wonderful edition to the east side of WDM to have an accessible by mass transit facility for after school as most low income families have both parents working some trash low paying job. But the C-Suite residents deserve a facility like this because, *Sarcasm* "They deserve it!"

This is very well constructed modern sports facility, hell it even has an eSports room. The fields and equipment are top notch.

This is a nice indoor and outdoor facility. Inside they have three hardwood basketball courts, turf soccer field, pickle ball courts, batting cages, two ice rinks, an e-sports room with many computer stations, PlayStation 5, Nintendo switch and oculus VR. They also have outdoor soccer fields. For bigger events, the parking fills up quickly, so I recommend arriving early for bigger events. You can drop in the gym to play (shown in picture) and also rent the facilities online for team practice or tournaments.

The facilities are nice. The place itself is consistently rowdy with teens running around, kids playing hockey in indoor walking paths, and people throwing balls in the hallways. Also, the handicap accessibility buttons on the outside of the building are never enabled. You can use buttons to get out, but you're straight up out of luck if you need to get in. Neat facility, but the lack of open court times and the constant mill of roughhousing teens make this place more of a hassle than a benefit.

This place is awesome. I love watching my son play hockey at either of the 2 ice rinks

This is where some of the events were held for the national Veterans Golden Age Games was held. Cornhole and horseshoes was performed at this site. Everything was set up very professionally and easy to get around. Great experience, my hats off to Iowa for this year's Games.

Ok place but the amount of concessions is ridiculous. You build a multimillion dollar complex and have two lines open for over 50 volleyball teams and over 2000 people. Lines were terrible and had to starve. Issue needs to be fixed for future

What a beautiful facility! Held my son's birthday party here and it was a blast. The staff was super helpful and the kids had a blast. Would definitely recommend and use for another event in the future!

Hands down the absolutely nicest facility I've been in. Went for soccer but man they got it all even had the computers for online gamers

Amazing facility that never fails to impress. A true asset to the city of West Des Moines. There's even an ESports area in addition to the full-size hockey rink, soccer field, basketball courts, and pickleball courts and who knows what else.

Still wrapping up a few loose ends, but it's going to be a fantastic place for the community. Outdoor turf soccer fields already getting plenty of use, even in the rain. 2 hockey rinks for your skating pleasure. Enough basketball/volleyball courts to make your ears ring with shoes chirping. An E-Sports arena that can connect to the hockey arena, meeting rings for rent, and they sell beer!

This place is pretty awesome. Staff was helpful in telling me where the CAN PLAY Sports are located. Walking through the building, it's impressive with the ice hockey field, the massive soccer field, and rooms for events. I highly recommend checking this place out for yourself & with the kids.

Not enough staff to clean or serve food. Lines for concessions can be in excess of an hour and vending machines are near empty. Parking is completely full and overflow lot is a mile away. Facility is new but completely mismanaged!! Bring food and drinks with you.

This place is huge and caters to all kinds of sports activities including E-sports. they have a website that is just starting up. It shows a facility calendar that identifies dates that you can "drop-in" to play different sports. since it is just starting up i'm sure there will be more availability, especially this winter. there is a charge for "dropping-in" . different fees for different activities.
