I have been a member of this gym for the last few years now and it has completely transformed in the time that I have been there! The gym has state of the art equipment and a great look and feel inside. Lots of time and effort has been put into making the gym what it is now. There are plenty of machines/equipment for all members, whatever your training goals are. There’s also the newly kitted out reception/circuit training area at the front of the gym. Then also the showers/changing room area with lockers that has again, all be refurbished. But despite all the equipment, aesthetics and new features of the gym… the best thing about ONE|DZ is the atmosphere and vibe between staff and members. Everyone is made to feel very welcome and between all the staff there is lots of knowledge and expertise that is readily available to all the members! Or if you fancy a cheeky game of fifa after your session then there is an option for that too! Overall an incredible gym/atmosphere and well worth joining.

Having trained in the majority of gyms in Derby I can quite easily say that OneDZ is the best gym in Derby for the following reasons. I took advantage of the free guest pass that they offer on their Instagram account and after my training session it was an easy decision to sign up for a membership. I was welcomed by their staff who are very friendly and helpful. I was given a tour of the gym and the various facilities that they offer. I was made to feel at home straight away. Having trained here now for over two weeks I can honestly say that I don’t feel like just another number but a valued member and friend. There has been a considerable amount of thought to the lay out of the gym, the equipment has been specifically selected for a wide range of training disciplines. All of the gym kit is of the highest quality, clean and well maintained. Their on going investment into the gym is also a huge positive, wanting to further develop an already outstanding facility. The gym is immaculate and is cleaned throughout the day, the cleanliness of the showers and changing rooms is second to non. The members here are very friendly and are also respectful of the equipment and gym, everything is put away after use, there is nothing just left laying around which is refreshing to see. Personal training and coaching is available at OneDZ and I can honestly say that it is if the highest quality. Their coaches are all Strength and Conditioning qualified, the knowledge and experience they have to offer is unmatched in the Derby area. They cater for all abilities whether you’re a professional athlete looking to gain the edge in your sport or just someone wanting to start their fitness journey and everything in between, they have you covered. I really wish I had joined OneDZ earlier but i am glad i am a member there now. Keep up the great work guys!

I came to Jake after a rough return to rugby after 4 years without playing and pulling my hamstring for the second time. Jake has helped me work through my weaknesses to recondition myself and develop sprint specific power required for my position. He is extremely knowledgeable and clearly cares for his clients. ONE|DZ is an amazing gym with great equipment and an even better atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and there is a sense of community within the gym. Cannot recommend Jake and ONE|DZ enough.

I joined one Dz in august and haven’t been to the gym in years. I have never felt more welcomed and would also like to thank Jake (pt) for getting me to enjoy the gym again. Jake is always there to help you out and genuinely wants the best for you. Currently I’ve lost 2 stone and joined a rugby club. I would massively recommend this gym and the staff are great.

Having been a member for nearly five years, I can confidently say that OneDZ is the best gym I've ever used...it's in a great location, has all the equipment you could wish for and is kept spotlessly clean. However, what takes OneDZ to another level is the people; James, Alex and the rest of the team create a friendly, positive environment where there's always someone on hand to provide advice, expertise and encouragement if you need it. Like the staff, the members are a lovely bunch too and this makes for a relaxed setting where getting fitter is fun. If you're looking for a gym, I couldn't recommend OneDZ highly enough.

I have been a member of ONE DZ for around 2 years now, really modern equipment and good community. James (Owner) has been a big factor around this and its great that he makes everyone feel together within the gym and shows real solidarity. The gym is a great facility for all ages and family members have joined off the back off this. Its a great place to make progress. One of the coaches Jake has been great for my fitness journey, he has given me tips and advice to better myself physically and mentally. His vast array of knowledge has been great for achieving goals and learning more about why and how we do movements in the gym. He has got me back playing football which is my real passion from working on strengthening my lower back so I cannot thank him enough for that. I also introduced Jake to my Mum who has had a long outstanding arthritis issue in both knee's and back, after a year together she has nearly lost 2 stone in weight and has hit a very big milestone of being able to run again whilst lowering/eliminating most of the day to day pain. I have been a member at ONE|DZ for around 6 years. The gym was already exceptional when I first joined, but I have watched substantial investment being put into the facility and equipment. It has developed into one of the most modern, atmospheric and welcoming gyms in Derby. The team at ONE|DZ are not only extremely friendly but also have a wealth of knowledge. They are always more than happy to help whenever you need any assistance with anything, whether it be on technique or general fitness and nutrition. They have a genuine passion in what they do, which makes a whole world of difference in a gym. 5 stars do not give this gym and team enough credit. I highly recommend it, whether you are completely new to a gym environment or regular goer.

ONEDZ is by far the best gym experience you’ll get in Derby. Not only is the equipment top notch but so are the people, all this makes for a great gym experience that any type of gym goer will feel immediately comfortable in. I could not recommend this place any more!

I started ONE DZ back in March 2023 and have had a great time. The gym is a great environment for all ages. This place has made me reach my full potential and I look forward to every visit. James, Fin and many other members of the team have made me feel welcome from the start and I have built more confidence within my training. The environment within ONE DZ is one of the best, I have been apart of multiple gyms and this has to be the best everyone is willing to help and treats everyone with the same level of respect even if you’ve been there 10 minutes or 10 years. I visit the gym around 4/5 times a week and love every moment, the facilities are amazing and the location is easy to get to. For anyone reading the review I have lost around 12-14kg from when I started and this was my goal. I genuinely couldn’t recommend this gym more to anyone, every person within the gym is friendly and respectful.

This is a great gym. It has a great inclusive atmosphere, and the personal trainers really know their subject. They really care about their clients and the staff are happy. They will help you achieve your goals, and more importantly, it is completely bespoke to you. I would highly recommend this gym for somebody that is looking to improve their fitness, flexibility and strength. People of all abilities, go here and the clientele and staff are a polite and welcoming bunch I would highly recommend. 👍🏾

I have recently joined ONE|DZ and have been very impressed. High quality equipment, very knowledgeable and welcoming staff and also not too busy at peak times. The gym is incredibly clean and tidy and there is rarely equipment out of place. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place to train in Derby.

I’m new to this gym but I am absolutely loving the classes and feel like my technique is so much better as all the trainers in and out of the classes are more than happy to help and advise. It’s comfortable the staff and members are lovely, the gym is packed with every bit of equipment you can think of and the location is fantastic. Well done. Long may my one dz journey continue.

The best gym in Derby. I have been with ONE|DZ for around 18 months now and it has practically turned my life around. It is such a good environment to train, with a vast amount of equipment with suits the needs of everyone. All of the team have been so welcoming from day one, which makes it such an easy place to go to. I used to dread going to the gym but at ONE|DZ I can’t wait to go. It is the most underrated gym in derby, if you haven’t tried it then I highly recommend.

The best gym I have ever been to! I only joined a month ago and from day one I have been made to feel so welcome. The team support and guide you whatever your level of fitness/experience. The team are more than happy to show you how to do the exercises properly (I had no idea at all, i still ask in every class what I need to be doing) I have found myself actually wanting to go to the gym!

James has created an amazing gym environment at OneDZ! This gym is a place I look forward to going to so much and it will always be a special place for me. The team have made me feel at home right from the start and this gym has helped build my confidence with strength training. The gym atmosphere feels really welcoming where members respect each other, and all the coaches are friendly and helpful. Always have such a laugh here and I honestly couldn’t recommend this gym more to anyone looking for somewhere to train in Derby. Great facilities and equipment with very experienced coaches. The best gym in Derby. Great vibe and a quieter atmosphere in the evenings – ideal for a chilled workout. The gym is always spotlessly clean and organised, which makes for a really pleasant experience every time. All the equipment is in superb condition too. Above all, the staff are a really friendly bunch, always ready to lend a hand or offer advice. Thoroughly recommended!
