My husband ordered takeaway afternoon tea for my birthday. The food was absolutely delicious (I'm a fussy eater) and my plate was empty in no time. I would recommend Buttercream Tearoom to anyone. 5 stars for us.

Perfect location for our Afternoon Tea for a family get together combined with a mini hen do, fab selection on the traditional and savoury teas. Plus, the gluten-free option was yummy too. Adding prosecco was a fantastic addition to make the afternoon more special. Highly recommended for lovely staff and awesome food, thank you Sally.

Love this tearoom such lovely and accommodating staff ❤️. Afternoon tea was beautiful and very tasty. My mum could not get enough of the lemon and blueberry tarts that came with our afternoon tea. We discovered these could not be purchased but these lovely ladies went above and beyond and made us 4 to takeaway. Thank you, you really made my mums day shes been having a difficult time lately as we are waiting for cancer results. You really put a smile back on her face ❤️. We will definatley be back.

Had our baby shower here and cannot thank you enough. From initial booking right up to the big day Ruth and the team were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious and service excellent as always. Cannot wait to go back in the new year when the baby has arrived! Xx

Absolutely fantastic! First time here and would definitely go again. I booked a birthday afternoon tea and couldn't fault it one bit. Lovely little tearoom. Staff greeted us at the door and were super friendly (very attentive the whole time) sat us down at a table they had decorated for us free of charge. Food was all home made and so tasty, sadly we couldn't finish it all but was offered a take out box to put the rest into which was fab!

Brought my mum here for afternoon tea. The food was delicious. Portions were perfect almost to much we had to take some home. The hostesses were warm and friendly. Pricing was less by considerable sum compared to other places so that was a very pleasant surprise. They do all their baking on premises so all the cakes are fresh and yummy. It’s tucked away on a side street so just entering the establishment feels quaint and perfectly British. It’s a little slice of heaven.

Staff were lovely, food was excellent and the drink I had today, it was nice. Would definitely recommend to others as it's located away from the main road, which is good if you want peace and quiet. Would come again.👍

I have just visited the tearoom and even though i knew i was late in the day they served me like the first. The lemon cake i had was moist and fresh while the latte i had was equally superb. If this is the standard of service at the end of the day it just shows the customer comes first.

Visited today with my daughter for afternoon tea. Can't fault the service,food or surroundings. Even gluten free was a good as non gluten free. China cups and saucers and a "proper" teapot made the experience feel very special too. First visit but definitely not the last.

Lovely little teashop. Fabulous for afternoon teas. Gluten Free is catered for and yummy! Lovely place to get together and nicely tucked away in town centre. Food is beautiful and fresh!

It was a Monday and w had to book a table at lunch time! The welcome was excellent the service was quick but not rushing you. The coffee's where nice and hot and the wood arrived very well presented and it tasted very good again and was nice and hot so where the plates Well done on a busy Monday and we shall go again

Lovely tea room. Afternoon tea was very nice. Had savoury and traditional for our party. Savoury was served on a platter and excellent selection. Traditional had Lovely cakes. Sandwiches were OK.

A lovely little tea room. Quick service and delicious food. Very traditional but well done decor. If there was any gripe at all it's that it is always very busy and very difficult to actually get a table most of the time, but that's not really a problem, it's just something to be mindful of. I would definitely suggest booking well ahead of time to ensure you get a seat.

Absolute amazing selection of hot and cold food. The cream tea selections are amazing. Definitely be going back again and worth the visit.

Many thanks to the lovely Lady I spoke to on the phone who very kindly organised an afternoon tea voucher for a very good friends special birthday. She personally delivered it to my friends address who lives in Hinckley. I spoke to him today and he told me that him and his partner are regular customers ! They told me in thier opinion, it was the best place in town for something to eat. Fantastic service and a great example of keeping it local.

Exceptional, with friendly helpfully service. All 6 of us had a perfect breakfast. BLT was first class. No negatives at all. Lovely place.

We come here often, the food is amazing and the staff go out of there way to make sure you have a lovely time. Highly recommended.

Had a surprise 30th birthday afternoon tea here with 3 other ladies and there was one person gluten free another dairy free and another lady who is dairy and gluten free and they was all catered for nobody was left out they was made to feel they wasn't restricted with their dietary needs. The range of cakes and sandwiches were all yummy the presentation was perfect staff were so lovely and so very attentive. Highly recommend buttercream room for a lovely afternoon tea xx

We had a fabulous take away afternoon tea from Buttercream Tearooms yesterday for a birthday treat with my friends. Everything about it was wonderful. All the items were well boxed up. One of my friends is gluten free and she really enjoyed her tea, which included a slice of quiche which she said she's never had as GF before. Just the right amount of food for everyone. Thank you Buttercream Tearooms for helping me celebrate my birthday in great style! Will definitely visit you again! ❤️

We fancied a nice coffee and some cake and found this little place, and what a find it was! From the amazing service to the food, well presented, generous portions and tasted amazing. Best afternoon tea I've ever had!

A friend and I turned up around 12.30 on Friday without having booked. They were very busy but managed to give us a table. Lovely friendly staff, plenty of time to peruse the menu. We both opted for the quiche of the day - Cheese, onion and tomato, which was absolutely delicious. We have both been several times before, for various occasions and meal options, and will definitely be going again soon.

Had a lovely afternoon tea /baby shower here for my daughter.This is a lovely welcoming quaint venue which was ideal for our party size of 18 people. The food was delicious with a good variety of sandwiches and cakes.The staff were lovely and very welcoming allowing me to arrive early to add a few trimmings to the tables.All of the guests commented on how impressed they were with the food and the venue. Would highly recommend to anyone looking at booking afternoon tea or a little celebration here .

A great choice for our Ruby wedding anniversary Tea for 31 family and friends. The staff were so kind and helpful in all the booking preparation. Buttercream catered for my Granddaughter’s Christening yesterday. Lovely food and lovely atmosphere. The ladies worked hard to make sure we had a great afternoon (and gave up their Easter Sunday) and nothing was too much trouble, even catering for a guest who was gluten and dairy free. Bonus - the sun came out and we were able to sit outside! Thank you so much x

Visited today for a light lunch with Debs. I had the Gammon, Egg and Chips, which was lovely. Debs had a pot of tea, a bowl of chips, and then finished with a gorgeous scone. I also had a vanilla milkshake which was unreal, tasted so good! The ladies serving were lovely too. All in all as with my previousd visits, everything was great. Thouraghly recommended.
