Honestly the best experience and the one I look forward to the most every year. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean. The turn down service makes you feel like a royal. Love every moment we are there. There are inverters and generators for if there is load-shedding.

It was experience from another world! Very friendly, super delicious, beautiful room, fantastic view, great guides. And the animals - I fell in love forever! would love to come back and will recommend to all my friends!

Amazing location with great facilities. The checkin process was simple. They offered welcome drink and have a tour of the property. Given it’s a full board ( 2 safari and breakfast lunch and dinner included) , it’s a peace of mind. The food is amazing and me being a vegetarian it was a treat. Did not expect this many choices and the openness to create more veg dishes after my experiences in SA. The safaris are good. The roads are not paved ( they are in Kruger for some part) . Lion sightings are low at this time of the year however it’s a beautiful park. For just wildlife viewing will still recommend Kruger however if looking for a luxury intimate getaway with some wildlife mixed in , this is the place.

This is a fabulous lodge in a great location. The rooms are large and extremely well appointed. We stayed in an "executive" lodge and it had its own lounge, deck area and poolalong with two bedrooms and bathrooms. The public areas are very good and we particularly loved the weaver birds outside the restaurant. There is a small part of the reserve that is private to the lodge and we saw a group of seven lions and an elephant right on the edge of the road 200 meters from our room. Wonderful! The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The reception staff were a little aloof but nothing to worry about, The other staff were all lovely including the maids and maintenance staff. Our guide, Thabo, was great and I suspect that they all are. A few minor issues: Other people have complained about the outdoor showers in winter. I think they would have a valid point if the weather was cold, in Spring they are very nice. The service was mostly exceptional but at a couple of meals it was too slow. My biggest gripe is about water. They only provided one litre of water per day for the four of us. It purported to be locally purified and although it said it was available in still and sparkling we were never offered anymore than the daily allowance. The bottled water was RND55 for 750 ml. Treble the cost of buying larger bottles in the reserve centre and 10 times the cost outside the reserve. Given the cost of the accomodation this is hardly relevant but it felt very mean! Overall though, this is a wonderful place, we did not want to leave.

Booked a weekday stay. Food was terrible as there was no variety in the choice. I didn't eat most of it. There was no flavour to it either. Nothing about the menu says SA. The rooms were full of mosquitos and bugs. Ended up bringing back a bedbug. No network at all and the wifi is just above terrible. The staff are friendly and the game drives were great. For the price it's not worth it though.

We have been there at May 2023 for 4 days. The good - The staff is extremely pleasant and service oriented. They are always smiling and eager to help. - It is a unique vacation with 2 game drives a day (3 hours each) where you hope to see as many animals as possible. We saw lions, elephants, rhinos, zebras, giraffes, etc. - The food is outstanding, everything we ate was excellent. - The rooms are beautiful and well equipped. The bed is enormous. The less good - DO NOT TRUST THEIR WAKE UP CALL. We asked for a wake up call for the game of the morning (6:30), they had a miscommunication between the staff members and we did not get a call. Luckily we set our own alarm. But if we would miss a game because of it, it would be unacceptable. - There is one iron in the entire facility. I asked for it and got it only a day after, and that’s also after several times I had to call about it again. - There staff members themselves are not always aligned. One person says breakfast start at 7:30, other tells you it starts at 8:00. The same is about the the time the game drive starts. - For every request you have with the reception, you have to follow up by yourself. You request for something (iron, towels, etc.) and they say ok, in some cases nothing is happening and you need to call back after a while to make the same request.

Great location on the edge of Pilanesberg national park. Hotel staff are very professional and helpful. Rooms are of good size and all have views over the park. Executive rooms also have small heated plunge pools overlooking the game reserve, a sitting room and indoor & outdoor showers.
