I have my family doctor at this place which is why I have to unfortunately communicate with this clinic but oh wait, this Clinic refuses to talk on phone so you have to go through the painful process of communicating via email. I had to wait 6 days and after 16 standard responses i was able to obtain an appointment with the doctor. Its easier to change family doctor than to get an appointment. Good luck at this clinic!

    1. This clinic uses an online portal for managing appointments and requisitions. Because they use the online portal, you cannot contact them over the phone. I was having trouble booking an appointment through the portal for weeks, and they would only try to book me over email. That's extremely time consuming when you are trying to find availability. They were also unable to direct me to technical support. 2. You cannot book an appointment with the doctor. All appointments are first with a nurse practitioner. I can't remember the last time I saw the doctor. Even for physicals, they are done with the nurse practitioner. 3. It's really difficult to establish a nice community feeling when you cannot even talk with the reception staff or doctor without jumping through multiple hoops. Overall the experience was better when Dr. Liao was at his old clinic. The new one is very cold and unwelcoming.

We followed Dr Liao from his old clinic to this new one. They now use an online portal for booking and it’s very difficult to book appointments. I don’t know the last time I actually saw the doctor, they prefer phone appointments, and often use a nurse practitioner. It’s frustrating having to spend so much effort to book appointments and not be able to actually speak with someone, or get proper care.

I'm unsure of the reason why I have a family doctor anymore. Every time I get sick, I tried to schedule an appointment and it would be 3 weeks after. I had to go find a walk in clinic. Unable to contact via phone, typically the NP does the consultation, she is nice & listen to your concern. But i can't remember the last time I saw my family doctor. This is just disappointing.

Doctors are friendly and professional, but it is very concerning how the clinic handles inquiries/bookings. No phone call, online booking is often not open, forcing you to communicate via Email only. Typically requires 4-5 back and forth emails to complete a simple action that can be handled by a 2-min phone call.

I had a detailed phone interview with a nurse from this office to take me on as a new patient. She was very good and captured all my past medical history and current concerns. The receptionist then sent a link to a portal to book my first appointment, it was literally unusable. Firstly, he/she sent me a link for an existing client, I told them I had no password to put in, he/she redirected me to another page that never worked! This was over a year ago and they have my health card on file, with me as a patient, yet not one person from this office had the courtesy to return my numerous VM requesting a callback. This has to be the most unprofessional establishment ever. How do they even have customers? How is the receptionist still employed? After this, I realized that if, in the future I had to cancel an appointment it would be a nightmare, nobody answers the phone and portal is not user friendly this doctor could charge you for not cancelling on time. Do yourself a favour and find a new doctor.

I have the worst experience with this clinic. Firstly, the representative of this clinic told me without introducing that this is a clinic for the Chinese community and I should look for a family doctor in my community? I have been living in Canada for more than 25 years and this is the first time I hear that our clinics are divided by communities. Secondly, the clinic staff believes that they are experts in English, speaking English in Chinese and therefore do not understand other clients (who have more than 147 articles and 23 books in English) Dr. Liao does not meet the criteria of a family doctor, repeating the same qualities of the representative mentioned above: a doctor for Chinese clients and an expert in English. It does not correspond to the conduct of the family doctor.

This is the absolute worst clinic I have ever dealt with in my life. You cannot speak to someone on the phone, EVER, and the fact that they ask you to email them sensitive information is incredibly irresponsible. They have HORRENDOUS communication and it’s impossible to speak to or make an appt with an actual doctor. Everything is done online and they often miss appointment times when you finally do get one. When you finally see a doctor, they treat you like you are a tick on their schedule and not an actual person. This is supposed to be healthcare and all they do is cause stress and anxiety for their patients which, in turn, causes more illness. Do yourself a favour and DO NOT become a patient here. They should not be operating as a medical clinic and should be shut down in my opinion.

I looked for a family doctor for over a year. This clinic made the process painless. I love that I can do telephone appointments, and most of the communication is via their portal. Every time I've had an appointment in person or via telephone, I feel heard, and they take time for all my questions. Specialist appointments are booked in a timely manner. So happy to have a Doctor with a great NP!

The worst medical facility one can go. Communication is terrible. It is very much Chinese oriented and never to international standards from reception all the way to Doctors. If you need any documents be filled by physician and leave it there, then it is like throwing it to a garbage. They are disorganized, irresponsible and unethical. Never try this and fall on disappointment........

The amount of effort it takes to receive a response from this clinic is HORRIBLE. They don’t respond to calls EVER it always goes to the automated voicemail. Their response time to emails are Horrible. What’s the point of having a family doctor If you can’t even reach their offices? The pomelo health system doesn’t work half the time and you can’t reach the office to address the issues. DO BETTER!!!!!!!

I should have an appointment today on 4:15 and I got a confirmation email on last Saturday. Now, I’m waiting until 5:21. I called and emailed back, no reply. I booked it almost 2 weeks ago and confirmed with them by email. I don’t know, if I need to see doctor but not in family doctor, does the emergency is the only way I can go? If you don’t have time or something change, at least inform me before, not like this. REALLY ANGRY! ————————————————————————— Until now, no one pick up phone, no one reply the email. I have canceled the rest of the appointment and no longer go there. Don’t advice any new patients to there.

No one answers the phone. You aren’t allowed to call basically. Good look getting an emergency appointment and the dr decides whether or not they can be bothered to see you in person. I had a cardiologist appointment faster than a general appointment. Terrible clinic.

I am wondering this place is just a call center operating somewhere overseas. What one got is a non-human robotic machine repeating over and over about its email address at the other end.

I am a senior man who appreciates the care that Dr. Amy Liao gives me. When my former doctor retired, he thought that Dr. Amy and myself might be a good fit. He was right. She is knowledgeable, attentive and compassionate. I’m grateful to be part of this clinic.

I experienced very professional service at Compass Medical Clinic. Thorough care and professional advice from Dr. Liao, who never rushes my concerns. Also, efficient and friendly front desk staff. Thanks for always making appointments in a timely manner in this pandemic.

Excellent experience at this clinic! The rooms are clean, organized and the overall clinic is very well-designed. Communicating with the doctors and staff at this clinic is always a pleasant experience. They are very compassionate and kind and the service exceeds my expectations. The innovative use of online platforms also makes booking appointments, cancelling, and inquiring about any issues very convenient.

While the entire clinic is very clean and the reception team is very professional, accommodating and polite; this review is specifically for Dr. Amy Liao. The level of care and attention to detail that I experience with Dr. Liao is unmatched and I am very happy to have met her and be placed as one of her patients. She is always willing to answer my questions, extremely reassuring and is very thorough. Definitely an extremely reliable and excellent family doctor.

I am a patient of Dr Victor Liao and I followed him from his old practice. His new clinic is beautiful and clean and the receptionists and nurses have always been fabulous. They go above and beyond to help!

😠 I don’t understand where the good reviews are coming from. The staff overbooks and don’t respect the order of the actual booking. I had an appointment for 5, and ended up being called for the examination at around 7:30. The staff was calling people who arrived late first, and did not respect my orig...

👍👍 I technically should give 4.5 but its the season to be giving. As part of the immigration process, a medical evaluation needs to be done. 😠 Do not see Dr.mirza if you go here. She is the worst doctor. Every concern I brought up was dismissed and she was rushing me to go see her next client despite that i had to wait over 2 hours to see her.
