😠 KAFA HAJJAR should not be in this professional body. She tries to complicate things for engineers and disrespect them. Sheena zigah, she is even unaware of the requirements of licensing. They hold applications, and they are getting fun of giving others a hard time with no reasons. very unprofession... People often mention months, engineers, time, support, process,

The PEO is like a fortress against customer support. They created a 2 tiered security system and all tests, payments must go through their system. When engineers cannot log into their system and ask for support you continuously get the same automatically generated steps to take to login. Ultimately, the recourse is to drive hours to their headquarters to try and get technical support. Only to find out most of the staff works from home. The only good thing was the receptionist who tried to help. Messages were sent to the technical manager and she didn't have the courtesy to respond or have one of her staff respond. In the meantime you're getting emails from PEO stating that if you don't take their test via their portal or make a membership payment via portal you will be suspended. This necessitated another long drive to demand technical support The only reason we gave a two rating was the help we got from the receptionist

Been waiting for 7 months for just an ARC review of educational credentials. Many of my acquaintances have been waiting for their ARC review for years. It's Worst than a third world organization if it takes 2+ years for a complete P.Eng. application to process. Time is money. Drastic changes needed to streamline the process and bring the processing times to a few months from a few years.

Nobody picks up the phone, not even the receptionist. You have to leave a message to get a call back. Even the transfers are email based. If you insist on speaking to a person you get transfered to the persons answering machine. At the end the person does not return your phone message nor your email. Very unprofessional and very disappointing.

Joining the th 1 star rate, and its because I couldn't put 0! Tottaly unprofessional, never respond to phone or email. Wondering if Halley Schaub is still working there or working at all. Shame to have to go throught this organization to get certification. I will complain all the way I can about those people.

PEO provide inaccurate info on their website. Experience is rated unclearly and unfairly. Their ERC interview is held by panel members who are old and outdated and know very little about the state of the art in engineering. Processing time of the licence is terribly long. No accountability. Not representing engineers at all.

Don't waste your time going to PEO office on Sheppard avenue. There's no one there to answer your question except a security that tells you to visit PEO website for all PENG related questions. You should complete all the process (including submitting your documents) online.

This organization is more of a burden on engineers, what does it offer for engineers ? Absolutely nothing. On the other hand, too many useless emails, annual fees, and now cpd which comes with its own hidden cost. And try to call them : best wishes , no one will ever pick up your call or return your call.

I’ve been waiting for 4 months now just to get a simple answer and now they emailed me saying ARC has to evaluate my credentials!!! Where were you all this time then? I have only submitted 4-5 pages for EIT application and apparently reviewing them takes months/years🤷🏻‍♀️🤯

I hold a Canadian PhD and have two years of Canadian work experience. Even though as I haven't graduated from a Canadian university for my BSC, my application process has been extended. The breakdown is: 5 months for the initial application opening, 12 months for academic competency evaluation, 4 months for the PPE exam, and an additional 12 months for work experience verification. This policy feels discriminatory and I'm disappointed with this association's approach. the new policy is so unfair.

absolutely useless. People who work as part of this organization were too incompetent to be engineers and instead became even worst paper pushers. There don’t explain any processes for application of the PEng and don’t provide any instructions

It will be quicker if you learn French and apply to OIQ in Quebec for licensure than applying to PEO. Never ending wait and senseless reasons for delay.

I have some concerns about the effectiveness of this license. I've noticed that there are some engineers in the market who may not have the necessary skills or expertise to design and calculate effectively. As a result, there may be some confusion or challenges in the market. And the quality of PEO staff should be greatly improved.

Someone else wrote they should be called "Unprofessional Engineers Ontario". The multi-year accreditation process is mind-boggling frustrating, and the emails I received from them during the process were rude and accusatory... despite me meeting the obligations they specify on their website. This is the worst engineering organization in Canada, and I hope reforms take place soon.

Very unresponsive, no one takes calls, poor coverage for inquiries, no support for new programs like PEAK - for the fees paid, should be able to actually speak to someone. Need to provide support! There is always an 'unanticipated workload delaying responses' . So... anticipate it!

What service does PEng. provide? How do you help graduates in getting jobs and advancement of their careers? How do you help professionals in career growth or career transition?

Any phone interaction with PEO will remind you that PEO struggles to uphold its code of ethics: 1. fairness and loyalty to the practitioner's associates, employers, clients, subordinates and employees; 2. fidelity to public needs; 3. devotion to high ideals of personal honour and professional integrity; 5. competence in the performance of any professional engineering services that are undertaken."

The PEO leadership should check the review regularly and solve the problems mentioned here. Not just sending the emails to remind you should pay your fee!!!!!!

I had an exceptional experience with Mrs.Rasha Abdelfatah at Professional Engineers Ontario. Their dedication to providing outstanding customer service was truly impressive. From the moment I reached out with my inquiry, Mrs.Rasha Abdelfatah was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to address my concerns. They displayed great patience and understanding, taking the time to thoroughly explain solutions and options available to me. What stood out most was Mrs.Rasha Abdelfatah's commitment to resolving my issue promptly. They not only provided a solution but also followed up to ensure everything was working smoothly. In a world where good customer service is often the exception rather than the norm, Mrs.Rasha Abdelfatah and at Professional Engineers Ontario have set a high bar for excellence. I'm grateful for the exceptional service I received and will undoubtedly continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you Rasha, for your professionalism and dedication to your customers. It's a true pleasure to interact with someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the customer experience.

👍👍 So many interesting and original restaurants and shops. Unfortunately some franchises are moving in, threatening the local culture and flavour as well as long established family owned business. We don't need the same restaurants you see everywhere, that sell unhealthy and greasy food.
