I am glad to see that Dineen opened up a location just north of the city. It appears there is a lot of foot traffic here already but I was still able to score a seat in the morning. There is also ample parking which makes it very convenient for customers. The Pain Au Chocolat was pretty average compared to similar spots. The pastry was somewhat deflated and not very flaky giving me the impression it had been made a while ago. The Iced Vanilla Latte was the perfect temperature and not too sweet but the espresso had a really sour and somewhat bitter aftertaste which made it difficult to drink but I am assuming this was a one off given the rave reviews online. Overall, I like the vibe of this place especially seeing as though I did not have to go all the way downtown. Definitely a cool spot to hang out. The prices are pretty reasonable too. I hope to return one day to give this place another shot.

Nice coffee place with friendly staff and rather good coffee and bakery. The coffee and the bakery - we tried scones and muffins - are of acceptable North American quality. The whole place, including the washroom, is kept nice and clean.

I came here twice this week because I had to do something nearby. The staff are mostly young adults, they are very cheerful, nice and fun! The cafe in general is definitely on the louder side, it has a nice vibe to it but keep this in mind. The place is very clean and has many drink options to choose from. Their menu is very simple to an inexperienced person but they have different flavours of majority of the drinks even though they're not clearly listed. I'm not a coffee drinker but both drinks i had throughout the week were extraordinary! Earlier this week I tried their Maple Cinnamon Latte which was good but I feel like it had a slight burnt aftertaste to it at the end, today I asked for a recommendation from the staff member and he immediately recommended the Vanilla latte. I was truly amazed by the flavour it was very good, slightly on the sweeter side but it was done very well. Once again, I do not go to cafes and drink coffee regularly so i do not have a comparison point but in my opinion both their drinks and aesthetics are 9.5/10. There are also plenty of seating options. Both days I did some work while enjoying my drink and was not bothered by anyone! The staff is very kind and joyful, definitely brought the holiday spirit with them this week.

Don’t have to go downtown for that great dineen coffee experience anymore! Super happy this location is uptown and quality is just as expected as you would have had at the downtown location The espresso is nice and strong but not giving a bitter, espresso bean burnt taste, which is great! The milk was creamy and combined nicely in the latte Ambience is giving off old school feels from the early 20th century decor of tables and chairs but when you’re ordering, it’s moderned up a bit with the marble counters Service is always great at dineen and no rush in making a decision of what you want to drink. Definitely a top 5 toronto cafe spot! Great job overall! Follow me on IG @thirst_and_taste for better pics, vids and more amazing content!

Love the coffee! I had latte and it was so good and strong. Kept me awake for the whole day! Pecan scone was good too. Place is busy and packed but everyone found their comfort once seated.

This is my favourite Dineen Coffee Co outpost! The coffee is always expertly brewed, and there is a wide variety of treats available. There is even a flourless/ gluten-free option for those with food sensitivity. As someone with gluten issues, the fact they made a point to keep an inclusive option available means an awful lot to me ❤️ . The biggest draw is by far the baristas themselves - they are such a friendly and lovely group, who ensure that you leave with a smile on your face! Literally - can’t fault any of them. The interior is very warm, welcoming, and cozy. It is akin to an English cottage, or upscale farmhouse. Definitely check this one out!

Lovely chia tea latte and not too sweet. Clean, new and nice retro feeling when I see the paint by numbers Art and needlepoint on the walls. Cozy feeling and relaxing. Wonderful.

service:4/5 coffee: 4/5 Environment: 5/5 Internet: 5/5 Dinesen’s coffee is always good, one of the reasons that Dineen is my go-to place if I didn’t find any interesting cafe to go. It’s style is kinda old school, the one on the younge street is more modern style. There’s parking lot outside of the cafe, easy to park. And you can sometimes see some nice cars in the parking lot too!

Today I went to this location for the first time, but unfortunately I could not evaluate the quality of the coffee. I arrived at 4.40 (4.45 latest) and the barrista said that all the coffee machines had already been washed and they couldn’t make me coffee. I asked for any simple coffee, but they refused. As far as I understand, customers should be served as long as the cafe is open... 😳 Another client came in after me and was also refused.

First time in. The decor jumped out vintage eccentric, staff gentleman was attentive and friendly. He managed to focus full attention to each client until your turn comes up. Spectacular 4 shots espresso flat white, flavorful and not bitter. Great latte art. Muffin is moist, and with natural ingredients raspberries and crumbled nuts. Great experience, I will be back

Loved the coffee and atmosphere! Came in the afternoon to get some work done, it was a little crowded but was able to find a seat. The employees are always so kind and friendly! Place is small but its a great little place to go for a small meetup to chat or have a space to catch up on some work. This was my second time here and will definitely come back! TLDR: Pros: - Good coffee and pastries - Super friendly staff - Space is nice to work or have a coffee meetup Cons: - Crowded and can be hard to find seating at times - Small space, can be overheard if having a chat here

Cute shop on york mills with a high end feel. Unfortunately the cold brew is very sour. Must be old beans or something. The scone we had was decent but a bit dry. Lastly we were dining in but they served us takeout cups and bags.

Good coffee and very fancy decorations, I tried their coffee twice and Americano misto is very good. This is only location that I like to have coffee while I’m not in my coffee shop Goppion

Though I'm not a coffee person, the atmosphere is somewhat pleasant. There aren't many seats inside but there's always space to sit as the location is not like the downtown one. Mocha was good and not scorching hot. Remember to ask for a napkin so you don't walk out with coffee/chocolate on your lips. Seems like they forgot to provide one

Always wanted to try this place as it's across from kid's hockey rink. Was busy on a weekday morning, lots of seating, cute atmosphere. Latte was yummy and had cool latte art. Salted chocolate chip cookie was delicious, lots of chocolate according to kid. Blueberry scone was delicious too. They had sandwiches from Feast and everything looked good. Staff friendly and quick!

The place seems to be functioning with bunch of teenagers (as it seems) who have no passion or knowledge for service. The young lady that served me was unattentive and/or tired probably. I was standing at the till for a good portion before she decided to acknowledge me and clearly did not want to be there. May be it was my fault that went in there closer to 3:30PM when things were winding down. I believe she may have had some of her friends over as well that were sitting down and she somehow forgot to close the lid on my drink. As I walked away and took a sip the beverage spilled on my chin, clothing, shoes etc. She was sorry, but I was frustrated as I was going into meeting thereafter with wet outfit and a story to tell. I hope they find a way to re-imburse my dry cleaning cost and partially spilled drink.

Ok. Wasting a little bit more of my time because I have a question. Why Dineen specialty is to hire unqualified customer service people? I don’t want to get into other people’s business strategy, but I think Dineen HR needs to analyze who they are hiring to be the face of its business. It’s not the first time, but the third, that I go to a Dineen and I need to face the incompetence and lack of service and common sense of Dinnen servers. We, latinos, have a very particular taste for coffee, and maybe Dineen is one of the few (very few) places in Toronto where you find a coffee that pleases our taste. For that reason, I always stop to grab a bag or dark roast coffee beans. Nevertheless, I’ve always find deficiencies in the service, from people advising you that they are closing in 15 minutes after you just walk in, to people that can’t follow a simple request because they are “busy”, but yes they have the time to waste explaining the nonsenses. Something as simple as taking out the greens from a sandwich before warming up cannot become a big argument. But, yes, some Latinos, like me, have a BIG MOUTH and we use it when needed. We are friendly, we are loud, we laugh most of the time, we are extroverts, but, we do not take SH*T. So, if they read this, they will said that I was disrespectful, so, let me give them a hand: you guys at Dineen Yorkmills and Bayview are just F*CK*NG 1D10TS!!! Grow up! If Dineen management wants to know the background of this, please share a contact number and I’ll definitely will call you. To the lady that said that I should not call them names, a little piece of advice: if you want to keep your city and country as it is, effective and polite, let some BIG MOUTH people like me do our part, otherwise, this will turn into a nice shinny city without a soul (or maybe it is already?)

My favourite cafe in all terms. It is very noisy though. Good place to hang out with friends, but not suitable to concentrate and work. Reliable WIFI, wide range of food and beverages.

This is a bright spot in the middle of a residential area. Nice interior, comfortable seating, interesting books to buy, great coffee and nice staff. It is not a problem to arrive by car, as there is a parking lot in front of the entrance. Unfortunately, they don't have a patio. Highly recommend.
