I was there a couple days ago. It was a quiet night.. Our server KYLA seems like she was sneaking shots behind the bar..(Hope the owner knows about that) Her dirty black top reeked of weed.. She had a messy unkept (blonde) hair.. she was very unappealing. Also, she was rude, and had a condescending tone. She even made some offensive borderline racist remarks. Food was just okay.. But Management needs to have a serious talk with her. We're NEVER going back!!!

Lack of staff...so so fare...not as amazing as remembered whether post covid realities, dirty cutlery...so definitely needs improvement... Not fresh beer batter on fish...hard so couldn't comment on fish...steak was ok. NYC cheese cake (frozen...and bottled whip cream...)

Worst place ever. Service sucked and they added so many extra things to our bill that we never ordered. Waiter didn’t care and took 2 hours to get a burger and a pint of tap beer. The. Took another extra 2 hours to get our bill. Firkin worst firkin. Pheasant not pleasant.

I had the worst burger ever! I don’t think they could have cooked the burger any longer/dryer, the bun crumbled as I try to eat it. Fries where cold and tasteless. The cutlery had old food stuck to it. Both my beer glass and my friends had lip marks from the previous user.

Went there on a Friday afternoon and food was not cooked properly! Beer wasn’t cold enough for a hot summer day 😔

Service was efficient but nothing special. Food was okay but needs more flavor Nice piece if fish but needs a much better batter. Good place to watch sports from a TV perspective.

Generally, not an impressive place. The burgers were unimpressive, with one slice of pickle and one slice of bacon. You couldn’t really taste the sauce and the burger was bland. The service was quite slow despite it not being that busy. It took over 5 minutes to bring out a second menu. Also, $3.50 for a can of root beer seems extensive. The side salad portion was also small. Don’t think I will be returning here again.

The food has become very poorly cooked. We used to come often and the specials were usually good. The last three meals were all badly overcooked, fish and chips, meatloaf and roast lamb. Unfortunately we won't be coming back until the kitchen improves.

Worst service. We sat on the patio today 8/4 at 4:30. We took our time ordered drinks and placed our food order maybe 15 minutes later. Food came out within another 15. No problem. We noticed our waitress leave as we saw her walking down the street. Shift change. Been there. No biggie I thought. I was wrong Not one employee came to check on our table for a full hour. Not a how is everything, not a how's your drinks, not a can I get you guys anything else. Nothing. Noone even made eye contact with us. We had finished our meals and were chatting but the dirty dishes were attracting bees that were buzzing all around. I kept looking for some eye contact to sort of signal that we would like our table cleared. Nope. Noone looked our way. We had all of the dirty dishes pushed to the edge of the table with our cutlery and napkins on them. Classic sign we are done eating. I had to literally walk into the bar area and flag down a waitress to ask for someone to please clear our table and give us our bill. The waitress came and was just gonna clear the drink glasses. I asked her to please clear the 4 dirty plates as bees were buzzing all around. She took 2 dishes, came back a bit later and took the other two. She sure was quick to bring the bill with the machine though! This is just straight trash service. There appeared to only be 2 people serving the entire restaurant. Do you guys not have managers? How can we be there for an entire hour and noone checks on us? Plus leaving us sitting with dirty dishes for a solid 30 minutes? Absolutely brutal. Never again Table: 57. Check #: 441250

We were looking for a casual pub, with no frills to watch the game. We went to the firkin and that is exactly what we got. The service and staff was actually so much nicer than some of the high end restaurants I’ve been to and they were so attentive. We had chicken wings, nachos, fish and chips and the bacon and tomato grilled cheese and sweet potato fries. All in all, no complaints, the food was exactly what we wanted. Came out fresh and quick.

I want to like this place as I'm generally a fan of Firkin pubs. The bartenders were friendly and beer was good. But the food was inedible at best, and the dipping sauce for the calamari looked like it was sitting out for days. Also even though staff is friendly, they are hugely understaffed here. Hard to find a reason to go here again given so many better options in the area.

Been a regular here for a while, absolute phenomenal service from the start up until now. Food is great, beer is reasonably priced and can’t wait to come back next weekend!

Found deep fried hair in my food. Absolutely nasty. Avoid at all costs. Cooks do not wear hairnets or have hygiene

Ordered from Skip the Dishes , Fish and Chips However, when I opened the box I was missing the Coleslaw and Tarter sauce I notified SKIP the Dishes to complain to them and then realized wasn't their fault. So I called the restaurant since it was THEIR FAULT! spoke to a male who answered the phone , when I explained missing items he didn't even appologise!!! All he said was "OK thnx" What kind of reply is that to a customer!!! He didn't even care!!! Given a 3 rating as the Fish was good a tad dry but editable fries were fine . Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism with that guy!

Love this place! Would recommend coming to this place. Megan is one of the servers here and she is such an amazing server/person. It is my first time coming here…the food is absolutely amazing and staff here treat you with respect and kindness (Family).

The service was... awkward? We were a large table and they struggled to split the bill across different people. The food was fine nothing fantastic.

Not what it used to be. French onion soup used to be great, now smaller and tasteless, little cheese. Terakyi chicken stir fry, definitely not teriyaki. Chicken soup tasted like a powder mix.

Nice place to dine with friends and family. I like the patio more. It was live. The servers were nice and friendly. The food was good except loaded nachos. I expected more toppings. It was more like eating dry nachos with limited cheese and veggies on it.

Absolutely the worst place in North York to eat. I came in one night when there was only outdoor dining and they were still seating people at the bar and in the back tables. I ordered a drink with the server (Ryan) and she took 10 minutes to even bring us water and another 10 for our cans of Canadian. We then ordered the pickle spears which was $11and not even enough food for an appetizer for two people. I ordered my food and went to the rest room having to dodge countless drunk mask less people singing and dancing at the bar. The washroom was disgusting and had so many flies everywhere. I then came back and waited what seemed like forever for our food. I got a burger with fries and my husband got hot wings with a Greek salad. The fries were bad (definitely frozen but not bad) but the burger was very bland and tasteless. My husband couldn’t even eat his wings because they were undercooked so he sent them back and ate the salad. The Greek salad was terrible and the dressing on it was just disgusting. When he finally got his cooked order of wings he ate those but said they were the worst wings he’s had but edible. I’ve been to other firkin pubs and would go to the firkin on Danforth often and never experienced this. The waitress never checked on us again and we had to call her over for our cheques I’m typically a very good tipper and only tipped her 10 percent and left. If you’re looking for good food in the area go to Drums n Flats.

Good food. I enjoyed the English dip. Check your bill when paying. They tried to charge me for a house salad substitution which on the menu is included

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! I would HIGHLY recommend going across the street to drums n flats before coming to the Firkin. I’ve been a customer for years. The wait staff picks and she says he gets better service. I waited 15 minutes for a drink and then when my meal OK it was not cooked properly. Meanwhile other customers receive their drinks and food immediately. Way too much attitude from the staff!!!

Decent location. Nice sized patio wrapping around. Prices have gone up yet again. Everything is simply very overpriced and at the very least portions should be a little more generous with the portions. $9 for a tiny small caesar salad. They should be offering there daily food menu specials which they werent yesterday. Pretty silly and unneccessary. Pandemic is really no excuse. I loved preferred the old Firkin days and the old classic Firkin homey pubby decor not the new design. Lastly the washrooms are very poorly maintained and quite dirty and cobwebs, dust just garbage everywhere.. I mean anytime you go underground this is sort of thing you run into but not this bad. Its obvioustly a very old building. The bar across the street seemed to be much more happening and possibly better food, will try them next time. I would return to Firkins locations again but not as often as Im just not that crazy about the food quality etc.

A mice neighbourhood pub. Here you'll find efficient, friendly service, with a good variety of well prepared "pub grub". I recommend the chicken currie. It's well worth it!

Used to be a go to place but the prices have gotten stupid and service poir... $20 for a drink that tasted like watered down Coke... Doubt I will bother going back anytime soon.

The food and liquor is Overpriced and low quality but the place is nice and the waitress is super super nice and friendly! We ordered two cocktails that more than 90% were ice even tho the glasses were super small. And the Old Willy’s Crisps & Dip was too oily and over fried, dry and tasteless! For two cocktails and one chips and 15%tip they charge us $44! The food, drink, and the price get 1star from me but the waitress/staff and good music 5stars!

It's surprising how a chain of pubs can be so different from one another. A cosy front bar area with a large open backroom makes this a very flexible space. Unfortunately too many TV screens make conversations difficult, but the staff were friendly, attentive and professional. A pretty good place for a local pub, if you could have a seat where you didn't have to face a TV.

The go to spot for all of the guys during the summers and when we are home. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Always have great sports on in the back, and during the summer the patio is electric!

👍👍 The Chicken & Shrimp main (pasta) is amazing. One of my favourite dishes when eating out, the portion size is more than expected (I usually end up having left overs since it’s so much!).
