About me: I primarily strength train with some cardio. I signed up with the no contract option and first 1 month free promotion. The no contract option comes out to $36 a month ($18 billed biweekly) plus the $180 sign up fee. Despite what the manager says, both options come out to be the same price for the first year of membership, I personally prefer to not be on contract. I am new but here is my experience so far: - Pros: Women only, clean, no weird smells, members are nice and very diverse, staff are nice, convenient location in grocery store, very safe building and surroundings, includes tanning/sauna/group exercise in membership, easily reachable for pedestrians, private location on upper level of superstore, convenient lounge area outside of entrance with microwave and tables. - Cons: Typical gym pressure to become a member immediately. The manager was a bit pushy when I came in for a tour and 1 week trial. She gave me a bunch of reason I should sign up RIGHT THAT MINUTE. I really don’t appreciate being pressured into anything. Small space (but looks to contain all the necessary equipment, just spaced more closely together, so not a big issue). Shower water pressure is very low, no towels provided, buttons on sauna panel are worn down and a little difficult to press. Hours are very disappointing, I'm accustomed to gyms with greater open and close times.

So far, I have enjoyed my experience at this particular Goodlife. Primarily because it's women only, which I am most comfortable with when it comes to being in a gym setting. It's also very close to my home. It's a small gym, but you do have everything you need to get a complete workout in, and there are instructor lead fitness classes as well. The gym and locker room area is relatively clean. There could be more attention paid to the bathroom and shower areas. My only complaint is that when workout machines break down or are out of service for whatever reason, it seems like it is not a priority to get them fixed. There is one machine in particular that has been out of service for the entire 3 months I have been a member here. Recently, there are 2 more machines that have gone down, and it just seems like they don't care to fix them. The gym is already small, we need access to all of the equipment. I hope somebody will look into this and have it taken care of immediately. Members pay good money to join Goodlife, it's unacceptable for machines to be out of service for months on end.

The gym is very well located near 401 and 400 hwy. It is small. Floors, showers and washrooms are dirty. The Studio is dusty and hair all over the place. Disgusting! After covid prices increased considerably and hours are reduced. When are they planning to go back to normal? People is complaining all the time, but the management don’t care. Suggestions: 1- Sat/Sunday's extend the hours. Gym is closing too early! 2- deep professional cleaning. Hire an actual cleanner 3- Some of the tv's are not working for more than 3 months. 4- staff is very nice. 5- most of the instructors are really good

REALLY HATE that the gym only opens till 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. It is always busy and I wish they had an incline leg press. It's the only machine that really helps to support lower back and really work the legs.

I've been going to many GoodLife locations over the past 7 years and I enjoy this location the most. It truly feels like a safe space Women's Fitness club. The staff are friendly and approachable. I appreciate how I'm always greeted warmly during our interactions. They recently added new equipment with their barbell racks and a new hip thrust machine which I am thrilled about because i find that other women's only clubs have one squat rack and the co-ed clubs are often so busy that they're always taken. The change rooms have always been clean every time I go and the equipment is also well maintained. they have good air conditioning lol! Which, going to other gyms in the area I realize was something I took for granted. It can get busy during peak hours especially since it's a small space, but for the most part, everyone respects your space and when I ask to rotate in the barbell racks for a set, other members are always happy to take turns :) I do feel more confident and safe working out here - guess there's something to be said about women supporting women and this club I think exemplifies that. They recently celebrated their anniversary and there were cute posters and treats this weekend! I appreciated their finishing touches. Because of above, I do prefer this as my home gym. Unfortunately the hours are limited, especially on weekends. Weekdays I also enjoy working out later sometimes so unfortunately, I trek to coed because they close at 9. I'd love it if they extended, and wish they'd also offer towel service. All in all, a good women's club with new equipment and friendly staff. The manager, Sarah, was also really kind when I asked to chat with her about roles at GoodLife and the programs they offer.

Coming in to see 5 cardio equipment out of service .. and the only 3 STAIRMASTERS out of order was pretty disappointing. I find Since the management has changed so often the past year, that there really is no priority given to broken machines . It's already such a small club and there are already a very limited number of goodlife women's only gyms (maybe 3 in the whole of the GTA) and thats a heavy maybe. so it is imperative that every equipment is working! With each visit it seems more and more keep going down! I wish women's only goodlife gyms were given better treatment and at the very least, bring in newer equipment like all the co-ed clubs; the equipment most likely keep breaking because they are so old and therefore it is taking half a year for parts to come in. Even the massage chairs don't work, only one has been in service for the whole club. Aside from the biggest issue being broken and outdated machinery , this club is inside a grocery store that closes at 11 but the club closes at 9 and at 3pm on weekends!! very very inconsiderate for a women's only gym. My last issue with this locatio is that , this facility has showers but no towel service ?? All in all it's very annoying to have to drive over 10 km to reach another club when this is my home gym, I would go here everyday if these issues were given the utmost priority

Used to visit here prior to 2020 almost daily in the mornings. From what I last remember they had a decent amount of machines (elliptical/treadmills)but was very lacking with having enough workout benches in the strength training area. This location is a small space so it's what they had to work with. I often had to change up my workout routine because the benches were being hogged by the person using it and I used to spend a few hours there. Pretty clean. Staff was nice from my own minor interactions. No major issues with the members, some slight attitude from a member if asking about an item I need to use after her.

Can yall work on cleaning the bathrooms and change rooms better? Its always so dirty every single time I come. I see people put their winter boots inside their lockers -its really nasty. The body wash in the showers always empty. The bathrooms dont seem like its ever been sweeped. I see the same dirt on the same spot. Common guys this location dont have towel service to begin with least you can do is keep the place clean. And are we really cleaning yoga mats using paper towel with some vinegar water? Cant you provide a proper cleaning wipes? Staff is amazing tho so thanks i guess lol

I really wish the gym was open later than 3pm on weekends, it would be really helpful to those of us that work the AM on weekends. Other than that the staff was super nice always saying Hi and bye everytime i come to the gym.

This place has pros and cons. Pros: - Many classes to choose from - Very good instructors - Staff is very good too - Some improvements: new floors and bars in the Studio - Location Cons: - Any complaint will be ignored by the manager - The Studio is really hot in Summer, every year the same. No AC - It is not clean often, like hair on the floor flying and accumulated in corner (especially in the Studio), showers smell really bad - It is busy - It is mandatory to show your id to access the gym or you must take a picture. Weird! I've being in other GL and this is not happening.

I enjoy this gym however I wish it had more space in generally (washrooms, etc). This location easily gets packed unfortunately. Love that it's an 'only women' location however( one of the main reasons why I do return time after time again ).

Staff is amazing and everything is here to get your workout done. One complaint I have is that the mirrors in front of the squat racks and free weight section don’t extend very far. It’s impossible for more than 2 people to workout in front of the free weight area. Also, there are only 2 benches available for the whole gym - one that stays flat and one that you can adjust. Most of the time the benches are used by people in the squat rack area but people not using squat racks need benches too. My 2 recommendations would be to extend the mirror length and add more benches.

Location is very small, regular hours don't make sense (would benefit from staying open longer on weekends), but you can always do grocery shopping after working out! Or buy hairties cause you forgot yours.

No a/c in the room where fitness classes are taken. It was quite unbearable I stopped going to fitness classes, which was unfortunately a waste of money.

AVOID THIS GYM!!!!!! I've never had to leave a negative review in the past, but my recent experience with this gym was exceptionally poor, and I feel compelled to share it. I scheduled a free tour and signed up for a trial group fitness class, even received a confirmation email for my booking. I traveled for over 30 minutes to get to the gym. To my dismay, the staff were incredibly unwelcoming. When I informed them about my appointment for the free class and tour, they didn't bother to provide me with a tour or any information about the gym for signing up. They checked their system and claimed not to have my name for the free class, despite my specific request for a group fitness class and confirmation of the class time. After making me wait for 15 minutes, they finally allowed me into the class, only for the Zumba instructor to promptly ask me to leave, stating there was no available spot. I've never encountered such poor management before. 1. Despite my prior booking, they denied having my information in their system. 2. They made me wait and gave conflicting information. 3. When I inquired about speaking to a manager, I was told there was no manager available. I've never encountered such disorganization and unwelcoming staff, ended up wasting my time, avoid this gym.

I would give this location zero stars if I could. The staff there are not good they do not have a manager and I recommend to go to any other GoodLife besides this one! I’ve been trying to cancel my membership since last year and finalized it over the phone with customer service because this location has no manager. It was supposed to be cancelled officially as of October 2023, but I’m still being charged bi-weekly. The staff here are not trained, please do not go to this gym. I’m still being charged due to the lack of quality in this companies employees.

All the gym equipment you'd expect but not much space for things like lifting weights, it can be difficult to find a corner for yourself. Biggest issue for me is the cleanliness of the washrooms and changing area, too much trash littered about and the smell lets you know the washrooms aren't clean. I don't think there's a dedicated cleaner and that's unfortunate for the price a membership costs, I've been to free public gyms that are better maintained

It's the closest gym to me but gender specific gyms or services hurts clients and businesses. I can't work out with my partner or by myself.

I have been doing my workouts at this location for over 2 years. When I started the hours were different (longer hours). Now it closes at 8pm on Fridays which is so frustrating because I can't never get there before it closes. The hours on weekends have changed too and now we have less hours. The gym is very small which I knew about it but it makes no sense opening for less hours right? It's just going to make it more crowded.

It's the only goodlife close to home, and only women can use it, this stopped me from signing up and I chose another gym from the concurrence, goodlife could have two gyms at the same address.

Had an amazing first day at the gym thanks to one of the staff members named Noor. She helped explain all the machinery and the do’s and don’ts. Will become a regular thanks to her.
