Very nice park. Wide open spaces for sports and shadey crooks for laying around. Not too many bugs. Lots of people, lots of parking and there is still lots of places for privacy.

Decent park to walk around and have barbecues. Parking is free, and they offer bike rentals. It gets busy during the summer time, and some areas get smokey due to all the simultaneous barbecues. The area with horses is for private members, and off limits to the public. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Beautiful park with lots of options. Has playarea for children, picnic areas, many trails, big football grounds, and much more to offer. You can also see beautiful sunsets too! Although it gets busy when the weather is good, the park is so big that it doesn't feel crowded. πŸ‘Œ

This is a nice spot near water that looks amazing. There is nothing much to do but of you're taking a walk or a bike ride along the Finch hydro corridor then it is the perfect spot for a short rest. The water looks nice, the sun hits is perfectly around sunset and the trail is both easy and clean. Definitely recommend for a spring or summer walk. Not sure how it would be in the winter though

10 minutes drive from Northyork. When in winter it was calm and fresh. Good place for a walk and breath fresh air. There is a small river and an old bridge. Dog walk park is near by. Parking space can accommodate approx 30 cars easily. Need to visit in Summer too. Recommend this place.

A week after the biggest snow dump in years and it was grey. Went along the east side trail to Steeles, then along Steeles sidewalk to the west side trail entrance. The snow on the east side trail was cleaned, but not on the west. The loop is about 6km.

Great park! Nice trails, streams and great views of the reservoir. However, I would not advise esp. you are alone to hang out after the dark though inside the park as it does become sketchy and feels desolate.

This place covers a huge area and has many things - fields, playground, water streams, dam, reservoir, jogging track, different trails and so much of nature. I go their to walk regularly and cover different parts.

Great park for a leisurely stroll. It's relatively larger than most parks, so more room to explore. Loved the amphitheatre and the Holocaust memorial.

The parking lots have become a busy place (in all our park system, really), at least on these increasingly sunny Spring days were having! Seems the pandemic has caused a big shift in what and where we can hang out at the end of the work day. Thankfully, the patios are opening up again for those of us Cardinal-watchers who like to go (regardless of COVID) but can no longer find a parking spot. It's brought out the newbie photogs with their big old-school cameras and heavy boots who in their enthusiasm to 'get that great shot', go charging towards the birds only to scratch their collective heads, wondering where they went, or why their luck or timing "is off". It was funny at first, but now it's just become an eye-roller πŸ™„ and a deterrent, if only temporary I'm sure. Good selection of trails and many park components to explore. It's a super wide open space to get your exercise. Soccer fields (even Bocce ball courts!) that are well-maintained, paved paths that run off in all directions for both walkers and cyclists, over hills and dales galore. It won't be long before the yoga groups stretch over, once the lawns take on that ultimate lush green hue. GRL is a good spot to go if you're planning to spend a little time there, to do a lot of walking and commune with nature - so don't forget to bring water for you AND your dog. There are picnic tables spotted about, some with and the occasional grill for those who are looking for the family 'al fresco' experience.

Fall is absolutely the best time to visit G. Ross Lord Park. It is breathtakingly beautiful! And the crowds are greatly reduced. Today's weather was beautiful. Sunny, clear blue skies, temps in the teens and very low humidity. Walking along the trails with all the fallen leaves made it feel like wonderland. Lots of families trying to get those beautiful fall pictures. The Hidden trail has the ravines. The Finch recreational trail has less water and a few slopes. This section is where the beautiful trees and fallen leaves. Go visit the park before the trees lose all their leaves!

Beautiful park on steeles and dufferin. Multiple gardens with lots of trees and ample parking space. There is a stable and a long track to cycle. The only problem is rest room location. We could not find it close to gardens so it might be near stable or somewhere else.

This park is huge with lots of activities to do. I went to watch a cricket match. There I saw two well managed cricket grounds. Charcoal BBQ, parties and lots of other activities were going on. There is an area for the dogs' party, mating or whatever you call it. There might be other parks of similar kind but I saw it for the first time.

My relatives and I enjoyed our family reunion at this park, there’s lots of space to bring as many people as you’d like and field space to enjoy some sports activities. The bathroom isn’t too far, and there are beautiful trails to stroll through.

It is one of the great parks at North York. Good place to walk your dogs, keep your kid engaged and great for strolls, morning walk and cycling. There are couple of parking lot with entrance from Dufferin and is accessible using ttc route 125 near antibes drive. Good place to photograph nature and birds. I have spotted deer, rabits and cayotes here. The park has a stable and couple of football(soccer) and cricket fields.

Loved it here, biking was fun, lots of parking spots around the area. Funny face on a log with a hat on it. saw a little pig running around which was great. A lady had two cats in a carriage and walking a dog as well, very cute. Lots of friendly people walking around but enough space for you to enjoy biking as well.

It's a huge park, they have cricket field.. You can reserved your table, you just have to pay online as to how many tables you guys needed for the event. Make sure to bring your own garbage bags and clean up as you go. They have washrooms.. and the ice truck comes around so often, which is good.. They have grill stations and working water fountains..

Very large, well designed park in the North York area. It is a good location for running, walking, biking or sitting for a picnic at the park. Well maintained and clean, it is a good place to exercise and enjoy nature. They also have an outside bikeshare if you need to bike around the area and playgrounds connected as well at different locations.

Beautiful park to hang out all day, plenty of picnic spots around with families enjoying time with other families. You don't find yourself in tight spaces as the park is so huge, it offers enough space to socially distance yourself. The trails are peaceful too!!

  • 4/5 Fathima H. 1 year ago on Google
Wow this is a park with a wide area. You can have enough space to go cycling, scooter riding for kids, bbq, partying and much more. There was a way through the woods to the park, which makes it awesome. Walking through it, was so thrilling and makes it even more exciting. The reason why I give it 4 stars is, it could have had some outdoor play items for kids such as sea-saws, swings, etc.. In a huge park like this, keeping it bare without any play area for kids makes it a little below standard. Hope we get it fixed asap.

Just any other Park in the GTA...but well maintained. Ample amount of benches to relax. I've seen the Ice Cream truck roll on by so that was nice. Lots of parking so no need to stress about finding parking. Then again early days of return to the new normal ...let's see how busy it gets this summer.
