We (7 people) got here around 7 PM with a table reserved prior. We were greeted upon entry and were taken to our table. Place is spacious, clean and tidy. The servers were attentive, food was great and with relatively good portions. They could work on their meal presentations a little bit. Food is worth the price.

I hope the amount paid today is equal in your eyes to all the visits that would have been. We popped our tire on our way to get our take out order and had to get towed which we didn't know how long that would take. We were told smugly over the phone by the lady we have 2 options, pay with our credit card or get there now. On top of the stress of popping a tire and waiting for a tow truck we had to now worry about getting our food. Atrocious. Money isn't everything! You need to have your customers happy. It will get you a lot further. I am Persian and live in the area and will never give this restaurant another shot.

The location was split between a party room, completely empty but lights flashing and set up, and a dining room by a curtain. Furniture taken straight out of the 1980's. The server was nice when dealing with me but did not fill up my water glass for 15 minutes while I waited. The starter bread was take it or leave it, but the garlic bread I ordered was actually very good as were the two kebabs on bread. This place seems better for couples, and formal wear.

Ordered gormeh Sabzi, Vazeri and chicken breast. Very delicious food and big portions. Don't forget to sprinkle sumac on top with butter on the rice Really recommend it!

Food is to die for! Portions are good too. Price is slightly on the high end, but it is not too bad. Something I found quite scummy hence the 4 star, my table asked for water and we strangly received bottled water. And we were charged extra! The bottled water was super expensive BTW.

Food was really good! However, service could be better. We specifically asked if our dishes came with basmati rice since it was written on top of the menu and our server confirmed that rice IS included with the nan and kebab. Food came and there was no rice, turns out, only bread was included. Second, my friends order 3 ginger ale and asked for the canned ones but our server gave us 2 bottled ones and 1 canned ginger ale. But it’s ok, she changed it after we asked her to. Third, we asked if we could get split bills based on our orders but our server gave us one bill and just divided everything equally into 6. We wanted split bills because we each had different orders with different prices and some even ordered drinks while some did not. When she came back the second time, the bills she gave us didn’t have the correct orders per person. Only one of our friend was correct so he already paid his. After this, we just asked if we could get one whole bill and we’ll just manually compute our bills ourselves but they had to deduct our friend’s bill from our bill since he already paid for his. The third time we got our bill, they added a gratuity fee (which was not included originally in our first bill!) Our server never mentioned any gratuity fee to us and what’s worse is that the gratuity fee was based on the individual bills she gave us before. So we had to pay 6 gratuity fees in total on top of our original bill. Would come back maybe for take out, but definitely won’t be dining again because of the service. Maybe server was new, but hopefully she’ll be better next time.

Unfortunately the quality of their food significantly reduced. Used to be 4 stars but at least for our recent visit was 2 maximum. We tried 4 different meals and each didn’t taste good. It seems that they tried to spice old food to make it eatable. The rice was half cooked and it didn’t smell the way it should be (kind of strange smell), the kebab was not cooked well and without any taste, the stew was terrible (the chicken in stew was not even eatable). Sorry Zaffron but even for one time serving low quality food, you will lose your customers forever. I just wonder how all 4 different meals turned to be at low quality.

This restaurant used to be a good one long time ago, however we have tried their food lately, unfortunately it’s extremely dry and taste like old food. Also the customer service is absolutely horrible and I really do miss the old environment and people. Not recommend at all.

Absolutely the worst Persian restaurant, they started out good but ever since COVID the quality is gone down tremendously. The costumer service if you can even call it that is hideous they are so rude I can’t believe the way they talk to customers no more am I going here trust me if you want good Persian food stay away from this place. I order baghali polo with meat and the rice wasn’t even properly cooked the meat was beyond bland. Im not sure what cutlery has to do with your food being disgusting but rest assure there won’t be a next time.

We ordered the Soltani with order of Chicken kabob. Also ordered must o musir. All in all, it tasted ok. The chicken seemed undercooked. The barg was rough but the koobideh was amazing. The service is OK. The location is nice. A good renovation is something that this place needs. Will probably not be back again.

This restaurant is excellent. I am very picky with my food and I can say after dining here twice that the quality and flavours are wonderful. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The vaziri dish was one of the best ones I have had (meat was very tender, no grizzly bits, very flavourful). Staff were polite and attentive, service was quick (Sunday night). I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back again for sure.

This is the best place in the area to dine in or get takeout. Always consistent and excellent. My highest recommendation. Wonderful, charming people, superior service, and excellent food. It is clear to me that the owner and the staff really care about what they do. Food is always delicious and beautifully presented. Great location, lots of seating, and plenty of parking. An excellent place to eat in and or for takeout. It is the gold standard by which other places should be measured.

I’m very sorry to disgust you by this picture. But this how the quality in this place looks like. I called the restaurant to inform them about the issue but unfortunately they couldn’t care less.

Terrible service. We had asked a question about whether there was wheat in the koobiedeh and the server didn’t know. We asked to check with tcook or the manager andthe server started to get upset. The manager refused to acknowledge our question and was speaking over us. We were taking out catering, and one of our guests was gluten intolerant l. The whole interaction was excessive for a simple question about their menu. Seemed as if they didn’t know anything about what was in the food they were serving.

Yesterday, I ordered two dishes of Kobideh, which had an offer at Uber "buy one and get one for free". However, after delivering the food, I realized that the restaurant did not deliver two dishes to me. In fact, your restaurant had divided one dish into two, and then offered them as two orders because each portion was very small! Sadly, the quality and taste of the food was not acceptable either.

Disappointed. We’ve been customers for years. But lately the food quality isn’t simply there. Never order again. Kebob was dry, too salty and cold. They didn’t bother to grill the tomato, just burnt it a little. Never mind the missing salad and not for the first time. For a $45 meal they should at least chose quality ingredients! Disrespectful!!!

We have been to this restaurant in the past and the food was great. However, not anymore, the meat smelled old and nasty. We did not enjoy it at all. The only thing we enjoyed was we got to sit near the wood fireplace which my kids loved. We will not be going back to this restaurant and if they want to keep their customers they should serve fresh food.

Excellent food and tasty. But I did not like the interior design and service. The furniture inside looks very old and the lighting was bad. The flooring looked old as well. No music was played. The lighting was not enough. Also, the waitress was in a hurry to clear the table while we were eating. Compared to other restaurants did not meet our expectations

Being Persian myself, this place is a mockery to Persian food. Rice was hard as if leftover rice was used. The kubideh was dry. When questioned, their tone changed and nothing was to be done. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Everything is awesome about this place. Food was so good and the atmosphere is very nice. There's a fireplace! And the people serving were so nice and answered all our questions. We'll definitely come again. And we're excited to try the patio in the summer.

In GTA, you can get delicious Persian stew from either being part of a Persian family or going to a few select restaurants. As I do not have access to the former, I was referred by my Persian friend to come here. And it did not disappoint! Best Fesenjoon stew I've ever had. The Koobideh skewer, and especially the eggplant kebab were also incredible. We also really enjoyed the bread and barley soup. Finally, a pleasant surprise from the rice - it has an incredible crispy crust (I think this is an authentic Persian style). We are definitely going back!

It was our first visit, and the food was delicious, reasonably priced, and good-sized portions. The service was excellent and to top it off, one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had in a restaurant. I will be going back and will recommend to family and friends.

So disappointed with the portion and quality! I ordered through Uber and when I opened the box there was a hair in my rice! I know this was a buy one get one free but the portion is almost half of regular order. If I knew this I would order some thing else at least!

When it comes to Persian food and community nostalgia, Zaffron could be considered a corner-stone. The location, food, atmosphere, staff and management all contribute to what could be described as "Persian Perfection..." We use any excuse to go there for the incredible food (who wouldn't?!), but we also enjoy holding our private parties there. Our most recent experience was better than ever. A classic birthday party that would've cost a fortune in other venues ended up being both memorable and affordable. We couldn't have asked for more. The management (Mr. Tinoosh) and staff are top-notch. The food is the best money can buy in Toronto and the location is extremely convenient. We'll be back (maybe tonight?!)

Wonderful food I don't normally write review much but this is one of those restaurants with great food and they could do so much better but they seem just in need of guidance. Please, let me know if you need some feedback!

We had a wonderful time at Zaffron. It was our first time trying Persian food and the server explained everything and made excellent recommendations. On the way back to our Airb&b we stopped and bought some saffron sugar as a result of the tea she recommended. The special birthday surprise was completely understand expected and delicious. I have never been SO full.

We had a party and we ordered baghali polo and kobideh, which were packed in the best way and althoug our house is far from the restaurant, the food stayed warm. food was delicious, Mr. Tinoosh who is manager of restaurant was very friendly and helpful, all staff were kind and respectful , It was a good experience for us and I recommend it highly.

Always fresh and tasty flavorful food. Yesterday I was so disappointed, by the time I got home my food was cold! The packaging that my food came in was sticking out of the clear plastic takeout bag it came in, the container was clearly longer than the carry out bag. They need to rethink their packaging. Will dine in from now on.

I ordered the Saheb Gharan and if I'm being honest only the tenderloin was delicious. The koobideh on the other hand was terrible, I felt like fat overpowered the taste and mixed in with cheap cuts of beef. The other reason for the 3 stars is our party asked for water but served us bottled water instead of giving us the option to pick between a pitcher, bottled, or sparkling. Unfortunately make sure you specify otherwise you will pay over $3 for water!

Absolutely AMAZING! The food, atmosphere and service. Negin and others made us feel right at home and Mr Tinoosh the manager came by to welcome us and make sure all is good. No one does that these days. It's a no brainer, try it and you WILL NOT REGRET!

Zaffron is my always first choice! I always take my important persian guests there. Cause of the high quality of meals specially Kebabs and good service. I just wish the owners try to improve the interior design and decoration. Such a renovation will make it the best in every aspect!

Unfortunately this restaurant has completely deteriorated! The food was quite bland in comparison to when we srated going 12+ years ago service was awful, the whole place is dirty and falling apart. Food used to be great as well as service but now to automatically charge me 15% gratuity on terrible service really angers me.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant. This restaurant is great. The service is unmatched. The staff and manager are really friendly. They truly care about your experience. Specifically, you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. The food is absolutely amazing, and for their prices, it’s 100% worth it. All in all, highly recommend it.

Stylish and calm place with very good Persian food. Good choice for different prices. Friendly service. Not the best place for alcohol lovers - and I like it too

Walked into the restaurant last night at about 7. We were 3 people. It was totally empty. We ordered our food. The starters came out within a couple of minutes. The Kashkeh Bademjan had stale oil smelling crispy onions. Within a few minutes the waitress came to collect our small plates as we were eating our starter because our main meal was ready. We ordered 1) Chicken Breast One skewer of charbroiled, juicy boneless chicken breast infused with saffron and spices. Was extremely dry and couldn’t have been cooked fresh because it came too fast. 2) Zereshk Polo was good 3) Koobideh which the waitress had recommended was dry, looked pre cooked and warmed up. I asked for a plate of fresh herbs, and was told they don’t have 4) Take away order gheimeh and ghormeh had tons of of oil and are very salty Overall service was okay, but the staff could have been more attentive for an empty restaurant; instead, the girl and boy were busy talking. The bill came to $140.00. I don’t think the food or service were worth it ! There are other Persian restaurants down the road on Yonge going towards Major Mac that are so much better in terms of food. Disappointed!
