I ordered a pad see ew combo and paid an additional $4.75 for "mango salad" that was essentially 90% iceberg lettuce, a few springs of cilantro and carrot, and maybe 5-6 pieces of actual mango. The mango itself was soggy and limp and clearly had been sitting out for the whole day. How can anyone sell this pathetic excuse for a salad for an additional $4.75 on top of a 14.98 combo? I essentially paid $20 for some iceberg lettuce, and mostly noodles with soy sauce. The pictures on their menu look so appetizing but in reality the meal I had was one of the most disappointing meals I've had all year. I called the location and the cashier even tried to explain to me that the lettuce and mango cost a lot. Don't make me laugh, for $5 you can buy an entire giant bag of lettuce and a whole mangoes. They take no care at all in preparing food here. You could make the excuse that it's a food court restaurant and not to expect much, but for $20 literally every food court stall at Fairview would get you better food.

The worst Thai fried rice I had in this location. I don't know why there is black pepper in my rice, and the soy sauce doesn't taste right. A bad experience that other places can't give.

Avoid this thai express location at all cost. Staff currently working today (asian woman and young asian guy) giving me attitude for incorrect order. I ordered a pad thai with chicken and they forgot to put the chicken on it. When I returned it, the one cooking was giving me attitude throwing spoons and pots. I told them that they would overcooked my noodles by just cooking it 2nd time. And they still didn’t bother to cook a new one. I asked for a refund instead but they were asking for a receipt when they don’t even give out copies to the customers. The worst part was they just recooked the noodles from my take out box which I had opened and tasted already and just added the chicken on it. If it is your mistake just replace the food right away and tossed the old one. It will not cost a fortune to do it so. I was completely in shocked. As a person that works in the food industry, I would just shrug off some minor mistakes but this one is completely unacceptable and I just feel the need of calling out the attention of the management. For an open kitchen like that, high level of sanitation must be maintained at all times especially now that some diseases are still active. DON’T GO TO THIS LOCATION. Worst service ever. Food handling is very unsanitary and customer service is so bad.

Extremely disappointing, dry chicken, it’s supposed to be stirfry chicken with eggplant, rice is dry, not enough sauce, not enough vegetables and even they dry, half full, just terrible never ever again eating at this location, not even close to the quality that’s being served at other locations. Avoid at all cost.

This place must be trying to win the world record for fast food speed running. Took less than a minute to cook and the container is not filled to the top like most places. There's no customer's around - there's no need to rush and ration food. Negative reviews and automated replies from the owner speaks for itself. Go to STC Thai Express instead.

I am surprised and disappointed. I got food it was extremely spicy and took it back to them to get the new one but she washed my food and make the new from the food that has been washed. there was no taste no texture or any food like experience after. she was rude as I complained. not happy at all

I work close by and have visited this location a few time. I’ve never had a great experience and today I was using a coupon for a combo upgrade and was told they didn’t have fountain drinks and I would have to pay to upgrade to a bottled beverage. Portion sizes are smaller here than other locations. Definitely don’t recommend this location.

Good portion but very little meat. Mostly just bread. Taste is good for fast food chain. Safest option that you can get at Fairview food court tho. This is the new dish that just came out for Halloween. General Ghost Thai fried rice Not spicy

My husband ordered Tom Yum noodles and got a random fried rice. He didn’t check and just brought it to me at work and I opened it and saw this…like there is no other Tom Yum on the menu aside from the soup noodles how can you mistaken it for fried rice? 🤦‍♀️😑 HORRIBLE. Update: decided to give them another shot few months after and same thing happened. Ordered 2 Tom Yum noodles with extra vegetables and got again something else. Some clear soup with vegetables. Whoever that’s taking order at the front NEEDS TO BE FIRED.

It’s not express. I waited exactly 22 minutes standing in front of them. There’s only one customer behind me. No one told me why my dish was served late, they didn’t even understand English. And finally got my meal seen as a photo.

I ordered a Medium Spicy Stir Fried Rice with vegetables and peanuts. I am happy to review that it was awesome and much better than my expectations. This is a nice little Thai cuisine in the food court of Fairview mall. They have good in-store deals after lunch time. The staff are friendly and helpful. Had a good experience.

Disappointing to be honest. The beef stir fry was all bread and crumbs and very little beef - and way too sweet. The pad thai was too sweet as well, and missing peanuts and fish sauce.

Ordered Tom yum fried rice and 4 dumplings. The dumplings were too small and the taste was average. Tom yum friend rice was miserable!! Too sweet and tangy, felt like I was eating tamarind sauce.I’ve eaten the same dish in Oshawa Town Centre, it was so good. I also paid $24 for two dishes, the fried rice had 4-5 pieces of shrimp. I’m sorry but save your money and go else where! I hope they close down this place because you’re going to end up throwing the food anyway!

I like that they have vegan and gluten-free options. You can choose the level of spiciness. I asked for a spicy pad see ew and it's quite spicy! Portions are big and satisfying.

Pathetic Taste. Less quantity. literally 2-3 pieces of chicken all for $16. Never will I order from Thai Express again! If you want to spend on cup a noodles quality then go ahead. Please do not buy and save your money. Much better options to spend on in the fairview mall food court. Wish I had seen the ratings before ordering!

Portions ridiculously small for the price!!! Service basic. Didn’t want to give me veges instead of rice or noodles. Thai Express on Marcel-Laurin is the BEST - service, portions, modifications

No flavour, not enough curry sauce. Only 3 pieces of beef. Very disappointing. Paid $15. You would think after reading all the bad reviews and seeing their overall bad rating they would have changed something by now.

Worst Thai Express in town. I am a frequent patron of Thai express, but this location offers the poorest experience. Unfriendly staff, no service at all. you need to ask to get even a napkin and condiments. Portion is small. I ordered Thai soup noodle, but was given chicken broth. Because of how grumpy that staff is, I didn’t even want to go back to tell her she made a mistake. I will not come to this Thai express again. There are many other better options in this food court.

The pad Thai taste so bad..I’ve always ordered from Thai express at stc and it was so delicious. This was my first and last time from Fairview mall Thai Express. The noodles were so plain seems to be just the noodles and 3 pieces of beef. I threw it away as soon as I tasted it! What a waste of money!

Ordered vegetable pad thai, it was $13.65 with taxes, pad thai portion was really small, and it only had some broccoli, carrots, green peppers and bean sprouts as vegetables, there were no baby corn, and tofu. I understand that food prices have gone up (which I am willing to pay) but the quality and quantity was really a bad experience.

Ordered beef pad Thai for 16 $ and it literally had 4 pieces of beef lol , last time I’m coming here .

Visited this location Saturday, July 16, 2022. Friendly people working here, but very disappointed in my food. Had Pad Sew Ew with tofu. Two tiny pieces of tofu, no vegetables as advertised. Very expensive. I am willing to pay for quality, but this was terrible.

Excellent food, super nice staff members, consistently awesome atmosphere. They charge fair prices and the food quality is excellent. Keep up the good work.

Whether you dine in or take out, they will always package your food into little takeout boxes. This makes it so hard to eat because they put the carb (e.g., rice, noodle) at the bottom and the meat/veggie on top, so I always end up finishing those first... This is unlike other Thai Express branches that have a more shallow but wider takeout boxes. Also the taste is just meh. Even in peak hours, you can see the surrounding stores having such long queues while almost no one wants to buy at Thai Express.

Small portion compared to other thai express. Going cheap on the greens?! Very so-so presentation.

Their very spicy pad thai is excellent and better than other branches that I tried.

I ordered beef pad thai and they gave me tofu pad thai. The Chinese cashier lady does not want to solve the issue of their mistake. Did not want to give me a beef pad thai or replace it. She also asked me to pay for the second chopstick for 50 cents. I decided to just eat the tofu pad Thai instead. The tofu pad Thai taste so bad!! They are so cheap with the sauce! I'm SO UPSET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m not a picky customer and that’s my first complaint and bad review ever. I took tom yum soup to go. It wasn't closed properly so all the liquid was gone and in the bag. the workers didn't mention anything about fragility, and mainly it was problem of the person who didn't close the lid (at all!). before making the order i had to wait till cashier will finish watching something on the phone, as well as repeat myself after paying several times that i want my receipt- as she right away went back to watch her show
