I've been to Pastel many times for their sweet and savoury crepes. I remember when it used to be one of the few good spots in the area and how it was such a treat to eat here. Of course, the Yonge and Sheppard/Finch area now offers a whole lot of different cuisines to try. But sometimes, when I'm feeling a bit nostalgic, I go to Pastel. It may not have the bells and whistles of other creperies, or the new adventurous tastes of the other cuisines. But there is always comfort in that brownie-filled, batter-wrapped, chocolate-drizzled, double-scoop crepe of theirs. Good value for money. Pleasant service. Casual hang-out vibe. Pastel is the place I go to when I'm feeling whistful for a rarity these days: a simple treat.

It would be better if they let us know everything will be served in to-go box and self pick up/clean when I order. I didn’t expected to receive the to-go box when I plan to have brunch inside. I already gave generous tip for the expectation of serving, but I need to go each time to pick my drink, crepe and even napkin. And the ice cream was served in a styrofoam cup which has been packed while ago but picked when I order. I can see that since the ice cream surface has covered with water ice due to re-freeze and the surface was super hard which wasn’t able to use plastic spoon to eat. Too hard ice cream and too soft styrofoam cup wasn’t easy to eat together. Too hard frozen ice cream usually happens when the ice cream scoop was pre packed days before. The portion was good for the price. But the quality wasn’t best, I left more than half of my order. I used to love this place but not so sure now.

delicious crepes and a variety of flavors and desserts to choose from! The black sesame crepes are a must. They're not extremely sweet like other desert places which is really nice. Limited seating inside.

I was left impressed with this dessert shop! I ordered a takeout of mont blanc crepe and matcha frappe. To my surprise, the mont blanc crepe was quite nice. It contains nuts. The matcha frappe was also good, but it would’ve been nice to be informed that it contains red beans. The staffs were very friendly :)

The price is worth it for the food and it didn’t increase a ridiculous amount despite the pandemic, which I appreciated! The staff are friendly and they offer patio seats! I’ve come here a couple times and the desserts are always great, love the Brownies Waffle! The ice cream is good too, and they are pretty generous with the toppings! They currently serve the foods in takeout containers for hygiene (COVID precaution).

We ordered the coffee crepe with an extra scoop of Mocha almond ice cream and the premium matcha crepe. Both of them are good but I personally like their ice cream more than their crepes.

I did not like the matcha crepe but the shortcake was a bit better. It's unfortunate you have to deal with a plastic fork and knife to cut the crepe while dining in, it becomes a struggle to eat. I also really don't like chocolate and it is not clear from the menu that the entire plate would be drizzled with chocolate as the ingredient is not mentioned under the item or anywhere on the menu which is unfortunate.

Great flavors. Pure taste of fruits. Tried many of their dishes & loved each one. Specially - try their Mango ice cream & cheesecake. Highly recommended. There's street parking available right in front of the shop. We had - Banana, Strawberry, Mango, Salted caramel & cookies cream ice cream scoops. Superb, surely recommended. Best: Lychee Also, they have a very cute little patio outside. Customer service is nice. We went almost at 11pm today, but they waited for us before closing. They gently reminded us to leave as they were closing. 5 stars for food. Overpriced though!

I was pleased with the desserts we enjoyed because they had a balanced sweetness that brought me joy. We spent a relaxing time on their outdoor patio, enjoying the atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented, and the price was fair.

I last visited years ago and things are slightly different than I remember. You can now place your order online with the QR code at the table and then you pick up your order from the counter. I had the mango crepe, which came with diced mango, sponge cake, whipped cream, and mango ice cream on the side. The mango wasn’t fresh (likely came from jar), but it was pretty good value for the price. Would recommend if you’re craving a crepe and in the area.

At first glance on their menu, the crepes may seem a bit pricey, just like how it seems for most of the eateries in this area. However, you are rewarded with generous portions of crepes, some of which are accompanied with a big scoop of ice cream on the side. I love the variety of both sweet and savoury crepes that this place offers. As a person with not a big sweet tooth, my personal favourite is the fresh and dry fruit options accompanied with the matcha/green tea ice cream.

PASTRY: very disappointing • Matcha Pancake: I got shocked when I received it, it's a deconstructed crepe, on a paper plate. The crepe is very chewy, the matcha ice cream has a suspicious and artificial color, and it's very icy. Tiny scoop of red bean with a tiny bit of something looks like matcha sauce but doesn't taste like so. Generous amount of crispy cake/bread that doesn't really belong to the dish. SERVICE: I don't really understand why a self-serve place give me food on a paper plate. But service was not bad. INSIDE: there're about 5 tables, and it gives me a vibe of sitting in a food court at the mall instead of a cafe.

I love this place but I miss when they used to be like an actual restaurant with table service before Covid. :( Their crepes, both sweet and savoury, are fantastic. I’ve tried many from their menu and am never disappointed. Most recently, I tried their matcha crepe and it was delicious, I enjoyed the ice cream because it was very rich and not too sweet at all - the perfect complement to the other toppings and fillings of the crepe. The sponge cake in it was tasty and, although it was my first time trying red bean in any dessert, I really enjoyed it! One of my friends tried the chocolate crepe, and the other the fruit one. We all really enjoyed it and look forward to returning. We also got a latte and it was made deliciously.

I spent 30 minutes in this restaurant today :) The environment is quiet and you can dine inside or outside. Due to the pandemic, the restaurant only provided disposable food boxes whether you are dine-in or take-out. After eating the food, you can throw them in the garbage bin. (Note: Because I chose to dine-in, I need to write down my name, phone number, date and time that I visited this restaurant.) Food: Premium Matcha Crepe ($ 14.99 CAD without tax and tip) (2 Matcha ice cream in the cup + Matcha cream + crepes + red beans + small bread piece) The crepe is great and delicious but personal speaking, I think it may be too sweet for me. If I have the chance, I may try other dishes next time.

Pastel hits the nail on “not too sweet”. We ordered a mango crepe with a sweet potato latte. The mango was the star and the crepe was filling with its additional touches of whipped cream, sponge cake, and ice cream scoops. The sweet potato was a little bare in sweet potato-ness, but something I’d try again. Seating is kinda rough especially on a busy weekend night. Spots seem to free up quickly though!

Chocolate crepe was too sweet, tropical one was okay, ice cream is homemade and tastes not bad. But the portion is big. Didn’t like my mango drink and hot chocolate. There is a time limit for dining in.

Wow I mean. Quality is going down so bad It was amazing. Proper cutlery and plates Now not even a glass of water Everything has to order and pay first then they gave you a little recreational toy to make you come when they’re ready. Used to be nice All Japanese employees, greeting and serving table Now it just like fastfood and you have you serve by yourself

Decided to give this place a try and it was decent. The location was clean and quite; as a matter of fact I was the only customer in-store on the day. I tried the Mango crepe (this isn’t the exact name) with a warm drink. Price was a little in the high side but would try it again during the summer.

We got three crepes, black sesame, mango and roasted green tea. The presentation of each was amazing and the ice cream was so good! Especially the black sesame ice cream was very nutty and smooth. The crepes were all so delicate and tasty with all the toppings. Would definitely come back to try the other flavors!

Great spot for crepes! They have both sweet and savoury options to choose from. I recently tried their crepe Suzette, and - oh my goodness, it was fantastic. The crepe is brûléed and topped with orange zest. The crepe is paired with an amazing French vanilla ice cream. This is definitely my new favourite crepe *note that the crepe is not stuffed with anything The matcha ice cream is also very tasty

One of amazing places for dessert in North York, Toronto. Light crepes with various flavors like mangoes, lychees apart from the usual chocolate etc. It is a vibrant location, very delicately designed interior. Tried the lychee crepe and it was one of the best I had in a while. 100 percent recommended

Decent place for a crepes. It’s ok quality and not crazily expensive as well. Not a whole lot of tables but it’s a cute little place. The crepes dish is nice and not soggy and we ordered the mushroom crepes and the mushroom tastes quite good! We also tried the parfait as well… put too much whipping cream in my opinion. The cappuccino is ok, average quality, just good enough to have it with my dessert. Can skip … There isn’t a lot of people when we were there, the wait time for the food is good, about 5-10 min wait. The crepes dish I would give it a 4 stars, parfait 3stars and coffee 3 stars , so overall 3 stars. Probably would visit again if I have some craving for some crepes!

Amazing desserts and coffees. Our favourite is the Nutella Crepe and Waffles. Very tasty and fresh! Normally I get it as take-out. I have dined-in and the service is great!

A very good dessert place for those with a sweet tooth. Tried a couple crepes, parfait and the lava cake set. Loved them all.

I have ordered online once, and this time came to the place. I ordered savoury crepe with Salmon, the food is tasty and you won’t feel the amount is not enough to fulfill the belly. Their flavoured latte also worth a try. Spent a good afternoon here.👍

This is a good candidate for take out. When you dine in you don’t get proper cutlery and its so hard to deal with plastic forks and knife to cut the crepe. The girl who helped us at the cash was duper nice! Shout out to her. I did not like the matcha crepe especially the beans in the stuffing, but the chocolate one was better. They also close late, which is a bonus.

Although we were given disposable cutlery and plates due to covid, the crepes were really well made and flavourful. Plastic knives/forks were hard to use though. The ice cream for roasted green tea and espresso were delicious! Would really recommend as they are filling and a perfect amount of sweetness. A little on the pricier end. Outdoor seating is also available. Interior is clean and bright.

  • 3/5 Nem E. 2 years ago on Google
The crepes are pretty good, though value for money is a bit questionable, especially considering the dine-in experience is no different from ordering take out then sitting at a table.

Delicious dessert if you’re in the mood for cake but in a pair or alone. Has a wide variety of flavours and gives eating cake a new twist. The only criticism is the price for the size.

We had the chocolate crepe. Didn’t expect such big portions but loved it. Friendly service. Cozy place. Suggestion: the menu is hard to read due to the choice of background and font colour. Not enough contrast. On the phone, still hard to read due to small font. When magnified, it becomes blurry

Delicious crepes. One of my favourite go-tos when I want desserts. Always well made. Can get busy at times, but well worth the wait.

Came here on a whim because the name caught my eye and I enjoy visiting various bakeries/cafes. The staff are very friendly and the shop has a relaxed atmosphere. They have a variety of different flavoured coffee and tea. Their creme brulee's are caramelized and decorated when ordered so they're nice and fresh when eaten. Will definitely come here again

Very nice place with amazing food. Ordered nuts crepe and was surprised by the taste. It was not sweet as most of the such places in North America. The same about mousse tarts, they have taste and not only taste of sugar. Very pleasant and quite seating area inside and a few tables outside. Bottom line: amazing place with amazing food. Thanks to Google and community for recommending it...
