I've been to this location a few times over the years. The staff are usually very friendly and patient. The place had really good seating too and a nice patio.

Update July 29, 2021. They reopen the place but the coffee is still horrible. Update October 9th, this spot reopen; they have new stuff working here, good service but the coffee is horrible Service is good, coffee in this store could be better, the coffee is usually burned. Its WiFi connection is not stable and it is also slow. Busy place with all the plugins always used; I appreciate that they are using now a power strip, so more people can plug in their computers.

I have been to this place three times and my experience was awful in all times for the following reasons .mat first time we visited I have asked for room temperature bottle of water as I can’t drink cold water but the guy was rude and said they don’t have and I have to manage with what they have . At second time, I was with someone during week days , Oct 2018 having coffee and they were supposed to close at 11 pm as written and one if the staff around 10:00 pm started cleaning with dust covering all over the place and they said they have to do this as they need to leave early . We left our coffee on table and walked away . The worst thing happened yesterday when my child was there and wanted to make surprise to me and to buy me some cookies from his money, he had cash and the money was 15 cent short. They ruthless staff refused to give him the cookie and took it back despite he told the. He would bring the 15 cent later and remind them on a previous time when he bought them same and left 2$ tips but they made him very sad. This incident shows what kind of human working there. I regret the three times I have bene there and will never.

I live right across the street and had been going there regularly for the past 4 years. I believe it was owned by filipinos before. Looks like new owners in the past 2-3 months and they are not filipino. Bought a piece of cake costing $6...it was the smallest piece of cake I've ever seen. Not to mention no fork was given, no gloves or tissues were used when handling the cake, no bag offered. That was my last and final visit to that second cup. This is the problem with franchises, they each keep their own standards and this place sadly has taken a turn for the worst. They are already less busy than before. Take care of your customers and you'll have many. Mistreat one and you'll lose many. Businesses who don't value their customers don't deserve to remain in business.

I had a good London fog here, nice place for a quick bite or drink while at the mall.

A few flies on the chocolate cake made me loss my appetite! It happens quite often. I drank coffee only but the hygiene is doubtful. The staffs are friendly though.

Good Second Cup location. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Usually you can grab something quickly as there generally isn’t very long lineups. Sometimes it’s a bit challenging to get a seat in this place though as people sit around all day on their computers.

This place use to be busy, but last few times that I passed it, it looks emptier each time. The barista was a nice helpful guy. The pastries looked fresh even though I went there at 7 in the afternoon. Washrooms clean. Prices are similar to Starbucks. Definitely a great place to study since it’s not as busy as other locations. Their cookies are HUGE and the calories are the same as Starbucks so I am not sure how😅 I like their menu, not too many options to make it hard to decide but a selective ones for picky eaters. Like in their tea menu they offer 5 kind of teas and one was decaf English breakfast tea which I liked. I only bought a wildberry tea but I usually get white hot chocolate from there, that’s something definitely to try there!

Does anyone think this iced latte look normal? I ordered soy iced latte from second cup it was really bad for some reason the milk looked weird and I can taste the small pieces as it shows in the picture, I went to show the barista and I asked her nicely, she looked at it and I can see her eyes widening as she was surprised but still she didn’t change the drink for me, instead she grabbed the milk, poured some in an empty cup to confines me that this is how the milk is usually. This was very disgusting and I’m wondering why second cup would offer their customers such a bad quality milk. I had to throw it in the garbage as I was scared of getting stomachache, such a waste of money!!

Visited this place on Jul 11, 2pm and the operating hours show open but it was closed.

Ordered 2 medium cappuccino and both had bearly any milk. It was mostly filled up with milk foam or to be precise half of the cup. Very disappointed.

Visited early afternoon and the place was pretty quiet. I were served efficiently by the friendly staff. The coffee was good and the price was reasonable.

The staff are absolutely incompetent. Literally every single time I go there to pick up an order. There is always a problem. Why don't you start hiring people whose IQ exceed 70?

Despite the poor interior design, super nice and friendly staff, they helped me register my rewards card which the staff in other Second Cup branches just shrugged in indifference when I asked them if I’m collecting points when scanning my card. Would definitely come back.

I love second cup coffee and the empress walk outlet is great, except when you get served by someone (a lady called Kim) who makes you feel sorry for ordering and whose mind is obviously elsewhere. She first gives me a wrong price (price for a triple espresso machiato when i had asked for a double). After correction of the price i get a double espresso...not a machiato)...further lecture given that they dont actually serve a machiato, but she could add some foam if I wanted). The foam was added with a mile long attitude. She needs serious level of training in (i) Second cup's products and (ii) how to deal with customers...something like customer service 101. She will only help damage your brand further.

Pretty mediocre coffee, wifi speed was okay. Seating is plentiful, so this is the kind of place to get work done but I wouldn't go out of the way to go here.

This is the best Second Cup in all of Toronto - The guy who makes the drinks always does a perfect job. Never had an issue here.

Second Cup at North York Centre is one of my favourite place since 2005. I'm so disappointed. Who can guess this is $7 Frappe? It's like an iced coffee with light ice. Don't you have recipe?? I visited this location last sunday. Strawberry banana smoothie was also terrible. They don't make drinks by recipe.

Service was friendly, the area was clean, nice place to study. My review is based on poor menu options. You can't order a simple iced coffee unless you want to spend close to $6 on their version (iced latte), and if you want to add milk to your drink, even a simple pour over, it will cost you extra when before it was no cost. Second cup has changed over the years.

As I had lots of good experiences in this branch, Today I came here with my daughter to get a coffee and remind my good memories. We wanted to order a piece of cake. There was two flies on top of sweets and after asking the barista about it, she said it’s normal. Do you think it is normal?

Music way too loud. There's no reason for it except for the barista's enjoyment. Customers here just want to have a conversation or study. It's very distracting.

I ordered a large Mocha, it tasted great, and the temperature is appropriate. Short staffed, the only person in the store. Washroom was clean. The patio at the back would need cleaning maintenance, tables are not wiped. But it must’ve been difficult for the staff to leave the counter. Poor guy needs a back up and assistance, just in case an emergency came up in the store. The Barista in the store was courteous and knowledgeable, the service was prompt and efficient. Kudos to him. Nice quiet patio and wifi access, I had a quiet hour.

You are enjoying high customer service plus cozy place to have your high quality coffee with any pastry as you wish.
