The worst customer service I have every received in my life. My partner and I came here and the waitresses didn’t even acknowledge us as human beings. They served every white and Asian person in the space multiple times before attending to us. They completely forgot my boyfriends order and left him hungry without a meal. They brought my chicken without the dipping sauce. When I asked for it, they said they were coming and never came back. They never came to check on us to ensure we had received or orders, to refill drinks or anything. They then told us that their Internet was down and that we had to pay cash. Upon saying that we don’t have cash, the told us to walk over to the bank to get some. They bank was closed and my partner went to 2 stores to get cash. Upon paying, there was a big sign saying that we get 10% off for paying cash, yet they never even honoured that discount. All the waitress said was sorry. The worst first experience in a restaurant I have ever had. I don’t know if they’re racist and make it a habit to just ignore black customers, or just completely unaware of what good customer service entails, but I would NEVER recommend this space to anyone.

This place gets five stars for great food and exceptional service! Patios just opened up on Friday and we came here on both Friday and Saturday. The servers are all super friendly and attentive. The karaage is probably my favourite thing I've tried so far. This will be a go-to spot all summer for us. You might wait a long time if you don't reserve a table though!

Gotta say that the food were overpriced for its taste. I mean it did tasted fine but didn’t make me feel that it is worth the price. The sake were so little per serving yet they charged it for $18, and it tasted exactly like the one you can get at LCBO. Good atmosphere and nice service tho. Will rather go to another Izakaya next time.

The yukke and the tako wasa are delicious and pair well with soju.

Good food. Kind of pricey. Great location at Yonge and Finch. Limited paid street parking.

The atmosphere is very chill. It's a great place for groups of 2 - 8 but I'm sure they can push more tables together if needed. The staff is very friendly and know the menus well. Food is served quickly and can be easily shared for most.

One of the best Sushi places I have ever tried. Called on the phone for pickup and the lady on the phone was really friendly and very accommodating!! The veggie sushi was really good and tasted really good. The packaging was labelled and properly organized. Majority of the places, when they deliver they usually mix the veggies sushi with the non-veg sushi in one box, but this place without even my requesting it, they separated it. Amazing service and Amazing staff!! Love it!

Unfortunately I only got service 1/3 times I've been here. The first time I got service, I was in a very elaborate outfit after a big event, and the service was very friendly and timely despite how busy they were. The second time, I was given a takeout menu and then forgetten about because they were really busy, fair enough. The third time I went alone (I looked like a well-dressed loner?) right around opening and there was no service at all. I think they were prepping but why unlock the front door at all? Maybe I was just impossible to ignore the first time. The food IS good, I love the yuzu sauce in their pasta salad and karaage, but my experiences so far have been hit or miss with the service. I'll hazard a guess that they prioritize larger groups.

Surprisingly good Japanese (I would not consider it a true izakaya, as there are no skewers). We had randomly chosen this place as it had space at the time we wanted to eat, and it was a good choice! Lots of variety and I can't say a single dish we chose was bad. They were all seasoned and cooked well, not too strong on any one flavour or spice. Normally, I find mackerel too fishy, but this was spot on. Really pleasant to eat. Loved the salmon, which is also not something I usually say at Japanese restaurants. Tako wasabi was good too. The tartare was a weak spot. Cocktails are pretty weak, but there is a good sake list with decent prices. Really helpful guides on choosing the right sake. Service was efficient and fast, and we were never left searching or waiting. I'm surprised it wasn't busier because it actually was the best place we visited in the area.

The place to get a great variety of soju sake etc. food is hit or miss for some, salmon roll was delicious and the octopus wasabi was great. The chicken karage made me nauseous, and the Katsu was very dry. Drink pricing is alright and average. Service was kind of slow at times especially if you are tucked into the corner booths

Huge and good price. I ordered two differnet udon, it was tasty but little bit salty for me

Great food at reasonable prices - the raw dishes are very fresh. Would definitely return

I feel like this izakaya place is always overlooked compared to the other bars around the Finch area. The sign isn't very eye catching, and I've always just thought of it as the place beside Yonge Karaoke. The food and drinks are actually pretty decent, and the place is a lot bigger with more space in the back. Service was a bit sloppy (food came out at weird times, had to clarify order multiple times, even though we were only one of three tables). If the lineups are too long at other popular places, recommend giving this place a try, you might be pleasantly surprised.

Hot house sake comes in 9oz (270ml) format. The food is flavourful but not overly salty. Can add $3 for udon to be added into the hotpot. The udon is a bit soft before it’s been added to the hotpot. The karage (fried chicken) comes with Yuzu mayo sauce and it pairs well with the chicken. Service is attentive. Wait time for food is reasonable.

I can’t remember how many times we came here for late dinner as we live just across the street. The foods they serve are so delicious. And the ambience is awesome! Try their pork belly!

Nice place with polite staff and good food. Great option to grab a drink and some small plates with friends or colleagues. Only (minor) setback is that some dishes are overly salty, which takes away from the natural flavours of the ingredients. But if you’re just looking for a good time, this is a place to check out.

I personally say that the food were overpriced for its taste. I don’t think it is worth the price. It was around $18.

Many izakaya staples (salmon tataki, chicken karaage, ebi mayo, aburi salmon roll, beef tartare) but the creamy pork belly and BBQ short ribs were the most memorable. The slow-simmered pork belly was so tender and the flavour paired perfectly with the mashed potatoes that it came with. The marinated short ribs were also perfectly tender and came off the bone easily

The service was really great and the drinks look fun too (even though I didn't have any) the food on the other hand was just above average. Nothing to write home about. Probably would go again though

Updated: Visited here again on a whim and had a lovely dinner. Everything we ordered was yummy from the squid to the eel roll to the pork belly to the yaki udon. As I mentioned before, they have a few unique offerings that I have come to enjoy. Original: I've been here a couple times and the food is pretty good. I prefer the food from a couple other izakaya places nearby but Hashi is worth a try as their menu is a bit more unique. Service is generally friendly and you have two hours to finish your meal. We were a bit disappointed by the hay smoked salmon warayaki as the portion was small and the condiments were basic, but the smoking was nice and subtle. The other dishes were quite good, including the creamy braised pork.

If I could, I'd rate this restaurant a 6 out of 5... Excellent service, delicious food and great music/vibes

Lychee sake was very tasty. The spicy sashimi salad was just like sashimi-don without rice. Very light and good pairing with any mild sake
