Awesome!!! 👏🏼 My review is based on my first experience today. I happened to walk by and decided last minute to order the Black Dragon Roll. In one of my previous reviews, I ordered the same item at Sushi One and dined in. That was a mediocre experience. Today’s Black Dragon Roll here was ginormous, fresh, had a really good taste and the unagi (eel) tasted so much better here. I waited around 10-15 minutes only for my one item order. This place has no seating - takeout or delivery only. Highly recommend. The photos speak for themselves!!! The price is the same as Sushi One. I would therefore rather eat from VIPS Sushi.

Of the 7 people I saw crammed in that little space only 2 were wearing gloves even though they are handling food. One guy had his mask half on while making food during a pandemic. Pick up time was 25 mins to be ready and when I got there it wasn't ready so I waited and this was what I saw with their food practices. Although the sushi is a little bigger but the quality wasn't there. The sushi pizza was a joke. there's a lot of other sushi restaurants that are worth your money and time.

Wow! Where do I even begin? This place is incredible and it’s hands down the best sushi joint in town. The sushi chefs are literal artists with the way they roll and present the sushi rolls. No details are missed. Not to mention the taste is just phenomenal. The portions are insane! We ordered the green dragon roll,spicy crab roll, spicy salmon roll, and crunch roll and we were VERY satisfied with our meal. We will 100% be back!

I ordered takeout from this location around a week ago, ordered through them by text (you can call or text the number to place an order), and they were quick to respond with prices and negotiable times for pick up. Good customer service! Was greeted upon arrival with a warm welcome and good interactions with the workers, picked up the food shortly after and paid. The process was quick and easy, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I noticed a few sushi takeout places around Yonge and Finch are skimpy with their fish and high on prices, but this shop is the exact opposite. Worth the visit.

Their sushi platter is truly delicious! We enjoyed it so much. Just wanna suggest for them to update their prices online. It is deceiving because what you see there is different from what the actual price is. They claimed it wasn’t updated but we’ve been ordering for almost a year now and then and in that timeframe they never updated it🙈

Amazing tasty sushi for takeout. They have superior freshness food and very enjoyable texture from sushi and sashimi. Torched maki has its unique flavour and very delicious. Definitely suggest to try!!! My regular sushi place right here!!

Wow! This place is fantastic! The roll size here is enormous so it is definitely worth the price. I usually eat only 1/2 of a roll and save the rest for the next day (it’s still good!). This is pretty much a take out only place and it is quite busy, so be prepared to wait around 30 minutes for your order. It’s worth it though!

Although this 40 piece part tray was a little bit pricey ($71 with tax) Their fish was really fresh and large. I like their crispy avocado shrimp roll especially. Their maki rolls were huge...

Good quality sushi and also good quantity. We got salmon tataki, Alaska and red dragon but honestly, two was enough for two people.

Ordered takeout from them for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the value! We got the small party tray, everything was so fresh and there was definitely bang for your buck. Highly recommend and will definitely order from them again.

I dont know what to say.. I found bugs on my sashimi. I will not be returning here for safety reasons.

This North York sushi spot is known for its large rolls, and the menu contains a good selection of appetizers and side dishes as well. The chipotle sauce is a nice complement to the soy sauce, and the rolls are nicely flavoured without being overpowering in taste. Great for takeout and service is generally quick - definitely worth checking out for your next sushi fix!

Huge portions w so many varieties in party tray 😍 I always get party trays here for family parties. Price & quality really stands out from other sushi restaurants in North York. Their medium size party tray is like large size in other places. And I love how they toss in other special ingredients for garnishes -like fresh squid roll. Highly highly recommended! +my personal wish: pls add uni or sake don in menu 🙏 I would legit takeout lunch here just for those haha

The sushi is very good here and looks and tastes great. Everything is made fresh right as you enter. Look forward to trying the torched sushi next time. Take out only. Very nice staff

Honestly the best sushi places I’ve ever gone. I’m not much of a sushi lover, I go to the occasional Japanese restaurant and get maybe a couple of pieces but they never really fit my palette. Like places like Ichiban, or Sushi Moto, etc were never really interesting. But after discovering this absolute whole in the wall I can’t stop eating. As I’m writing this in the past 24 hours I’ve basically eaten half a platter of their sushi completely on my own. The staff are all amazing people always having an amazing time and really make you feel included and appreciated as a customer. I now go on an almost daily to weekly basis and always order the spicy or the creamy crab rolls exclusively but their huge platters are amazing for parties and gatherings. If you want amazing sushi and the fun and humour from a hibachi restaurant go to VIP sushi they’re cheaper and the experience is way better

if you’re like me and sushi isn’t one of your top 5 meal options, then you need to try this place! I only get sushi from VIP ever since I got to know this place. Their special sushi creations are immaculate! Literally the best sushi i’ve had within the past 2 years!! I’ve tried their Sunset and Diablo roll and they were both very high quality, fresh and tasty!

Favorites: all the rolls. The place is small but it doesn’t matter because their flavours are big! Great range of rolls and the food is fresh. We’ve come 2 times now and they have impressed us. Compared to the other sushi places in the area, these guys can easily compete with them. While we were there, it was a continuous flow of takeout happening. This is definitely a place to visit.

Favourite sushi/maki place. The size of the rolls are huge compared to other places. 6 rolls are enough for a meal for an average size eater. The taste is also exquisite. I always order right there in person and pickup since they do it super fast.

I'm not sure if it's what I ordered or if all their sushi is like this but it tasted like they dumped a massive bottle of black pepper into it. I had the creamy California roll and the salmon sushi pizza. I had to throw it away. I've had bad sushi before but this was next level. Maybe their other rolls aren't like this because the good reviews don't make sense when the food I ate was awful. Last time I order from there.

We ordered company lunch today at this place through Skipthedishes and really liked their service and presentation. We ordered Gyozas and Large Sushi-Maki party plate. Definitely a repeat and highly recommended.

This is a great place to buy sushi from. My family discovered this place 5 or so years ago and we haven’t been disappointed. Yes, prices have gone up but that was to be expected. However, the quality and the quantity of the food is worth the money.

This place is SOOO good. I have try numerous high end authentic Japanese restaurant. But I love this Korean sushi joint, we will crave for their sushi every once in a while. And drove over half an hours just for it.

Quality is excellent and sushi size is gigantic. It's hard for one person to finish one of their rolls in one seating. Best bang for buck and great tasting sushi too

Fantastic spot. Didn't read the reviews before coming here, so I ended up surprised by how big the portions were and ended up with too much for one lunch - no loss though, since it tastes great, so I'll just have leftovers!
