Nope. Pass. Where is the exit?! Terrible experience. Terrible service. We went at lunch with four of us and mid week at 1 PM there were only two other tables in the whole restaurant, it took 20 minutes to get a beer. Another 15 minutes or more to order and our waitress never seem to be around. Terrible experience overall… Happy for a manager or someone to reach out oh. We spent 300 bucks on drinks and food, and the service matched a $15 take-out order. Petrifying. Did I mention, never again? Of all the great little restaurants that can easily see four or six or eight people in the area, pick ANY of them. They all have beer and they all have food and they all have better service than this Jack Astors.

Great spot for good food. The chicken quesadilla was brilliant and the hot sauce they provided on the side was great too. Our server, Tanya, took care of us very well. I requested for the the spiciest item on the menu with extra crispy fries and her selection was spot on. The only small opportunity for improvement is to fill the plate with less fries and more of the mains. However overall, the lunch was great!

Not the best location. Feels like this place needs to be managed a bit better. We were greeted in the front and when we asked to sit upstairs, the nice gentleman disappeared to go upstairs to check and never came back. We watched as others were brought upstairs, and eventually we were guided to the elevator to go up. Upstairs appeared understaffed. Our waitress was very nice despite this. Food tasted fine, but Jack Astor's definitely isn't cheap so I feel like fine is kind of low for a baseline expectation. Would also note our booth had a massive rip in it.

Ordered takeout - Buffalo sauced chicken fingers, a personal favourite and Jack Astor's staple. Got home and opened up the box. Lo and behold, 5 of the smallest pieces of chicken I've ever seen with stale and cold fries. All for $19. I get that the pandemic has been hard on many businesses, but don't go about offloading costs by ripping off your customers

Take out order of fish and chips with yam fries add on. Fillets are so small and no coleslaw?! The portion size of yam fries was acceptable once you take them apart.

First of all we ordered white wine but they bring red wine to us and ya they changed but I didn’t see like this before and for our order for food I can say it was a little bit cold and I have no idea. But I can say atmosphere was okey. Also we ordered dessert 🍮 and it was good

Atmosphere nice but food was not good at all! Ordered ribs and fries were so salty i had to order a coke. And then coke was like literally without gas as if it was someone else’s and they just brought to me. Definitely not coming back even if the ambiance of the place was nice.

First time dining in since March 2020 and it felt great. I’ve been here before for their special poutine with chicken and veggies on it but unfortunately they’re not serving it anymore. This time we got Mexican Chicken Bowl and BBQ Burger (upgraded side fries to poutine!). The food was average. Mexican bowl was worth trying once. Burger was Okay but my advice to you… don’t upgrade your fries to poutine as it costs $6 and also too heavy🥴

Had a great experience on the patio. Our server’s name was Jesayiah and he checked in on us numerous times and gave us attention and care beyond what any patron deserves. Highly recommend this patio during the summer months. The steam generators on the rooftop keep you cool. Covid protocols are followed and smiles can be seen across the rooftop. Thanks for the great experience!

The view here is spectacular (see pics below) definitely ask for the patio, they have a bar and nice music playing. The alcoholic drinks are nice with a sweet touch so nice. The service was meh, they just seemed like hardworking uni students that’s all. And the salad was good just wished I would’ve gotten more romaine or arugula considering it was 20 dollars. But I gave a 4 star cuz there was like 4 levels in the restaurant and a patio.

I visited the Yonge Street location. I tried using the service inspired app and it didn't work so I had to go in person. I entered and the hostess helped me but then part way stopped and helped an Uber driver. I said uh would you mind fishing up with me first? After a bit she did. I took my order home and ground that the order wasn't correct. The burger was supposed to be plain. I've ordered it for years this way for my son and it came with mayonnaise on the buns. I called the manager tried to say that's they way plain comes. I'm like no it hasn't. I've ordered this for years. He agrees to replace the order. He threw in a dessert for my trouble of driving there again. Pretty amateur stuff. Will go to Vaughan next time.

You know what... it used to be one of my favorite places and recommended to a lot of people for date nights and good time, but for the last 3 times I have been there I keep convincing myself that maybe this time was a fluke that the food wasn't great, or the service was not what it used to be, or maybe it was Covid and just fighting myself. But 3 times, should be good to average... maybe I'll try next year... too bad. Not only this location, the one close to Costco in Vaghan the same... Too bad, I normally don't write bad reviews, but I was just a bit too disappointed.

Great place to dine! Not too much waiting for service or food. Servers were knowledgeable and able to give recommendations. Food was delicious. Friendly staff that helped us to enjoy our little celebration. I have never been to this location before, and was happy to see a functional elevator making upstairs accessible; so if anyone has family requiring wheelchairs or strollers, you are in good hands here. The washroom I used was clean, but only one sink had soap, so hopefully they will do checks more often. The lollipops at the door are always a favourite for my kid, so I'm glad they still offer those; however, might want to make sure they are stored well so they don't melt (not a big deal, didn't bother my kid side from struggling to get all the wrapper off). I would definitely recommend that the staff learn the details of nearby parking better or have info on hand in case you're asked. Thanks for taking care of us! We'll be back whenever we are in the area!

The atmosphere is great here. Lots of space, music and TVs. The food was very average. Hunter's chicken was super salty for me. Steak was okay. Good place if you have a large group.

Decided to come here to celebrate a birthday, unfortunately upon receiving a stack of plates. We discovered a roach resting on one of the plates. Don’t think I’ll be coming back here, I’ve gone to many fast food restaurants- McDonald’s for example. And did I see a roach there… NO! But the first time I come here, for a birthday party, this happens. Not to mention the several pieces of hair found in a couple of the meals with fries. I hope the manager who we informed is calling pest control right now. The server was kind about it and apologized it but the rest of the service felt like the incident was disregarded as if it did not happen. Don’t even get me started on the service. Serving almost ten people at the same time can be pretty difficult, but serving everyone at the same time and leaving one person to wait until after everyone else had finished their meals is not something to be excited about when celebrating a birthday party. If you want poor service and the off roach then do come here, by all means do it. Thanks for nothing 👍

It was fun to be here at rooftop . Not all tables have best views or side . But love the vibe . Waited 90 mins to sit when we saw 10 people leave but they didn’t let 10 in . Super slow service thou even when many tables were empty. But some food and location was good . We got veggie mexican bowl , pad thai and mucho nachos . Might choose diff location next time

Absolutely fantastic spot to gather with friends and family! The atmosphere and service are top-notch, complemented by great music and ambiance. Personally, I adore their beer and cocktails. The veggie nachos, Mushroom + Gruyere Cheese Dip, and Crispy Chicken Sandwiches were all incredibly delicious. Regardless of the location, this place remains one of my absolute favorites, but this particular one stands out as the best for me. Highly recommended!

Great location and amazing service. Two floors: first floor has a massive multi-screen TV and high top seats, second floor has booths and regular seats. The food was very good and the amazing service made it better!

I visited Jackastors after a long time. I felt the vibe, that Cozy environment, delicious food, service everything is still same. If you get your kids you no need to hold on to them, just handover those crayons while they engage in that drawing activity you can enjoy your food( FYI art in the picture belongs to me not my kids lol). The staff is great they are dedicated to you and check on you if everything is great or if we need anything else. The food is as usual super tasty(no caption needed). Overall good place to spend your date nights, spend your weekend parties.

Cozy environment, great service, good food. We got the Tuna Guacamole as an appetizer to share amongst our drinks. To be honest, I would definitely skip on this dish next time. Not sure if the sweet & spicy poké really goes well with the guacamole and other (interesting) toppings. As for the drinks: we got a Belgian Moon (a classic) and a Fuzzy Mango Breeze fishbowl. Needless to say, yummy drinks & good value! Fishbowl is definitely a MASSIVE sharable 2-person size and would order again. Finished our meal with a yummy malted warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. Food was good but the service was even better! S/O to our sweet waitress, Grace! She was so attentive to our table and made our experience amazing! Would definitely be returning soon because of the warm service.

Almost a half hour for them to take our order - the first person who we were able to get took our drink orders and never came back. Food was good and so were portions. We decided to get dessert…it’s been twenty minutes so far waiting. If it wasn’t a gift card we were using up, I’d never have waited this long. Sus on this location. It wasn’t even slammed. Front of house manager needs to step in and help with tables.

I got their Chicken Parmigiana which in my opinion was neither too bad nor too good. The chicken itself was well seasoned, crispy in the outside and juicy on the inside which I loved. The linguini was cooked just right too. However the tomato sauce felt a little watery and overall it also felt a little salty. As such, the food itself didn’t feel worth the price.

We’ve visited this place couple of times, Service is okay, just okay not even good. But the food!!!!! The foods are incredibly waste of money. I ordered chicken parmigiana and it was absolutely cold and tasteless. Even servers was complaining about loud music volume but they couldn’t do anything to it and it was the funniest part.

We came here for a date night, and whoa, this place is massive. Very well decorated. I absolutely loved the ambiance and of course the food. The staff was very nice.

The food, drinks, service, everything was excellent. We will go back. The steak was really delicious. Ordered medium rare and got medium, but it tasted great. The burger wasn't that good, but it's ok - better than mcdonald's, worse than Harvey's. The fishbowl drink was so massive! Really awesome.

During our recent visit last weekend, we were delighted to encounter yet another exceptional server who demonstrated outstanding attentiveness and skill 👍🏻 However, we did notice some variations in the quality of the wings, which was somewhat disappointing. Additionally, the portion size of the nachos seemed to be smaller than our previous visits, leaving us slightly unsatisfied 😞 Despite these minor drawbacks, it is worth emphasizing that our overall experience was marked by happiness and satisfaction ☺️ We appreciate the rooftop's enchanting ambiance, the amiable servers, and the enjoyment we derive from spending time there.

🥇The caring staff boy in the first floor was so polite and caring. I really liked the way he smiled and how gentleman he was. I don't know his name to mention. 🥇 ceser salad was delicious 🥈I ordered gin with passion fruit drink, and it was soooooo light, so light.

Came for dinner with my girlfriend to celebrate our anniversary. Delicious food and great atmosphere. Our server Grace was friendly and attentive. Will be back soon!

I want to thank and lift our server Martha and her supervisor Sebastian for helping to make my birthday dinner so wonderful. I had a big group of people with me, spread out on the patio (which I had asked in advance to get!), and it was a fantastic night. I was so encouraged by Martha's patience and kindness. She was fielding so many food and comfort requests (as it started to drizzle and rain), and she pulled through for us. Also, I want to thank Sebastian, too, for helping out, BIG TIME, with the heating. It was an excellent dinner! And the food IS good! I had a tasty Mexican bowl that I would love to go back and have again! 5/5, for sure!

My family and I visited Jacks North York for the first time today to celebrate my brothers graduation. We decided to come to jacks because we used to visit the one on Front street all the time before the pandemic started. This was the first time we went out as a family since 2019 so we HAD to break bread again at our favourite restaurant. The atmosphere was great and made me feel like things were normal again. Our server Grace was super helpful, pleasant and attentive. The highlight was the pan cheese bread with bacon that our server recommended! definitely a must try! Needless to say the wait to get a table was certainly worth it! Hope to be back soon!

Amazing service! Went for dinner with my friend and our server Nicole was constantly checking in to make sure we had everything we need. The food was great and came out very quickly! Highly recommend it.

I ordered an Uber eats order from here and paid 50 bucks for my meal. I alway get the bow tie chicken Asiago and Asian nachos and at the restaurant I can never finish it because the portion size is pretty decent… this time having it delivered they literally sent me half of a container for each meal. Paid $50 bucks for a half of the normal food quantity they serve. Not okay.

Drinks were very good. Ordered Gummy Bear Margarita and Blue raspberry lemonade for cocktails. Food was fine too. I had fish and chips while my friends had steak. Only complaint is they don’t have ribs steak anymore which bummed one of my friends.

Always a pleasant experience. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Andrea Manager has always gone out of her way to make it a one of a kind experience. Andrea is on top of everything and beyond helpful. Big reason we go to this location is because of Andrea. She’s a great leader and will do wonders for the restaurant.

Really I give this place 5 stars but if you're like me you don't read 5 star reviews. The service was great. Good team work and fast service. Server was very kind. Spent 250 bucks with 35 dollars tip. Food was perfect. I'm going back. 🥰

What a perfect night for a patio. Had a great time sitting at the rooftop bar with my buddy to relax, talk about his next life career, and enjoy the perfect spring evening. Overall, it was a nice night, but mostly because of the company. Thoroughly disappointed in the TV not being on as there were games on and we couldn't watch on the patio. Service was really slow. Took the bartender, maybe 3-4 minutes, just to notice us and finally come over to offer us drinks. We grabbed a couple of ciders, which were cold and delicious. She was very helpful in making sure my next couple drinks were what i wanted, when I didn't know what I wanted, and she steered me in the right direction. The food also came out fairly slow. One of the chefs delivered it and did apologize for it taking so long. So that was appreciated. I suspect the food spent some time in the window waiting given that the wings were hot enough, but not as hot as I would expect from wings straight out the fryer. Damn delicious, though, with the perfect coating of hot sauce. The bartender also took way too long to check on us, as only when we were more than halfway through eating did she ask how the food was. We also didn't need the bill delivered as quickly as it was since we ended up ordering 2 more drinks to finish the night. Food prices have gone up, but for two guys grabbing dinner and drinks, was pretty fair all things considered. Less than $100 for two people is a win in my books. Will try again as I do love Jack's, and the patio has great vibes and was playing solid music. I think next time I might give table service a go and avoid the bar.

Awesome food and awesome service. Went with a big group and they were able to accommodate us with good and speedy service. Their menu is also great. I took one star off because when I ordered a double for my drink, it tasted like it had 0 alcohol in it so i think they actually forgot to add any in there, but i didn’t complain since we were with a big group and i didn’t want to cause confusion.

A bland but an inoffensive choice of venue. The Pad Thai was a disgrace to flavour. It was relatively spacious and service was good.

Overall very tasty food, but a bit too salty near the end.

Awesome experience at Jack Astor's (North York) tonight! Great service and great food. My order had some modifications and everything came out perfectly as requested! Food was hot and delicious, server was fun and attentive. Looking forward to coming back.

We went in around 9 pm last Friday and were seated almost instantly. The place was relatively busy but they checked our COVID passports and IDs which was nice. However, once we were seated we were met with ignorance from most of the staff, including our waiter. We waited over an hour just for them to come to us around 12 am-> 12:45 am to give us the bill so we could leave. This was after they had cleared our table and we continually were attempting to make eye contact with the staff that was coming by, yet no one even glanced in our direction. In my frustration, I had contemplated just walking out, however, we decided to stay since we are honest people. Yet this treatment was simply unacceptable. In addition to the service, our bill was wrong, they added an additional shot of tequila that we never ordered nor received. However, in my haste, I didn't even think to check the bill, I left the smallest tip I could think to give and then we left. The next morning, my friend and I were discussing this horrible service, and we realized that we were overcharged. Therefore, I called the managers and they gave each of us a $ 50 voucher for Jack Astor's. I doubt I'll be going back anytime soon but possibly in the new year to see if the staff has improved. BIG THANKS to MELISSA the assistant manager who solved this issue with us. Couldn't have been happier wit the customer service after the fact, hopefully she gets a raise LOL. She's the only one who deserves FIVE STARS not the waiters that I had to deal with. Thanks for resolving the issue, looking forward to our next trip.

We had the large nachos, and they were the BEST we've had, and since we're kinda nacho connesiurs, we know good nachos when we have them. The place was packed, and service was understandably a bit slow. Highly recommend! We also had drinks and a shot.

I am a regular at Jack’s. I often go at least once a month, and it’s always standard food and service. Yesterday, I went on a Saturday night dinner. Was it busy? Yes. So I have that flexibility for service and quality when it’s busy (probably shouldn’t but I do). Anyway, it was probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had at Jack’s! SERVICE: To start, I had a reso, and they still made me wait 10 minutes… even though I got the text saying my table was ready. Then, my server didn’t show up until another 20 minutes of us just sitting there (no menus, no water). Finally after taking our order, we didn’t receive any cutlery. We asked for water…. three times, and didn’t get it until we were paying our bill. FOOD: My goodness my entire meal was terrible! I got the Asiago Chicken Bow ties, and Unicorn Bellini. The chicken was lovely overall, put pieces were burnt to black! The pasta and sauce were soooo salty (and I still didn’t get my water). The unicorn bellini tasted AWFUL. Like the worst drink I have ever had - I couldn’t even have 1/4 of it. I’m really disappointed in my experience at this Jack’s :(

Great roof top patio for lunch and dinner whenever the weather is warm. A large selection on the menu. Food is not bad either.

Came to jacks with my sister for drinks and food. The manager Benji and the bartender Vasili were amazing and took good care of us. Vasili made delicious cocktails and Benji kindly introduced himself, and made sure that we were okay and having a great time. Great food, great service and we would definitely come back. Thank you!

My first time coming here. I got a nice seat at the rooftop. The table was pretty wobbly but meh. The view was great. I ordered their crispy chicken sandwich and asked for seasoned vegetables on the side. I have never seen such a sad, small portion of bland beans and peppers. In the picture you'll see my burger has been devoured because that was really good. But the side... I was really disappointed. Well, no worries, I ask my server if I can get a different side since I'm disappointed with the portion. I order a ceasar salad instead. My boyfriend has the identical one. Except.. not to identical. My salad had lettuce, crispy onions and bacon bits with dressing. HIS also had croutons and parmesan slices. Same side order, but differently made? Mine was a little sadder for Jack Astor prices. I paid $20~ for this meal, and I was disappointed with this meal from Jack Astor's. The service was alright.

Had a great experience at Jack Astor's with a friend last night. The food was delicious, the staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We made several accommodations to our order and they nailed it every time. I haven't seen great service like this in a while! I am also super impressed with their new dessert menu! Would definitely go back :)

Awesome experience when dined in here a few weeks ago! Came in to wind down after a crazy work week and definitely enjoyed ourselves! Drinks were nice, service was great, especially the wait staff! We started off with shots of tequila gold and they had two types with a recommendation by the waitress on which one to go for! And a nice smooth shot it was that totally set the mood for the afternoon! The nachos are always a jack’s go to! Large platter and definitely a shareable platter that always is on point, regardless of location! They also have fish bowl drinks and a nice selection of beers, which can be “jacked up” and if you wanna have that extra good time without spending too much extra , the jacked up size is always a good size to go for! A nice relaxing and quick location to go to that’s guaranteed loads of fun! The only issue is parking, where there isn’t much and can be pricey, unless you find a nice green p street parking on the side streets or the a spot appears in the back parking lot that isn’t too big. Great job overall!

My family and I came in for dinner this week and our server Aisling was incredible. Her service was timely and extremely accommodating (we had a lot of demands!) My mother even mentioned she was nervous coming out to eat since the mask mandate got lifted, and Aisling made her feel so comfortable. I don’t usually leave reviews but this young girl deserves some praise! Will definitely be returning!!!
