This place is so good! Had the Smokey Black ramen and it's like nothing else I've ever had! The broth has so much deep character, you can really tell they put the time in to making high quality dishes.

This ramen place is located in North York close to the North York Centre subway station. Street parking available on Yonge St or side street. $4 hr for street parking. There's a Saryo Japanese dessert cafe at the front and ramen restaurant in the back. There is a large community bar table in the middle with bar chairs and small tables on each side. The aisles between the bar table and dining tables are narrow. My jacket kept getting pushed around everytime someone walked by. Not a great start. We ordered a few appetizers. Chicken karaage, edamame, fried King mushroom. The chicken was crispy and juicy and served with wasabi mayo. Probably the best appetizer of the 3. The edamame were as advertised nothing special. The King mushrooms were thinly sliced and crunchy. I wasn't really impressed and would not order it again. Now for the ramen my wife ordered the Smoky black Tonkatsu ramen $15.50 regular size ($20.50 for supersize). The cloudy pork bone broth was rich and flavorful however the soup was not served piping hot. There were 2 slices of pork chashu, some cherry tomatoes. The bowl was missing smoked ground pork and pancetta as mentioned in the menu description. The noodles were cooked properly. They charge extra $2 for a boiled egg $17.50 for regular size. My signature clam broth ramen ($15.50 regular + $2 boiled egg) was brown clear broth. They put my egg in my nephew's order by mistake. There were 2 slices of chashu in the bowl. Very small portions of porcini flakes. Overall the broth was also very flavorful and rich. Overall, I would say the portions were small and I didn't see the value in paying $17.50 per person. Maybe this was an off day for the kitchen. The main orders did not come out at the same time. It would be nice to be able to eat at the same time with your guests. If you have a big appetite I suggest going with the supersize. You are paying a premium for the fancy ingredients like truffle oil, porcini flakes, clam broth, etc. I have tried other ramen restaurants and I personally would not come back here. The service was just adequate. They did refill our glasses of water but nobody came by to ask if we are enjoying our food. I know most businesses are still short staff but I suggest better teamwork and coordination with the kitchen and serving staff to improve overall customer experience.

Lovely location in combination with Saryo cafe for some nice dessert after a hearty meal. Amazing broth and unique noodle type. Just as great as the uptown location. Price point is a bit higher than their competitors but they're definitely different. Service and interior design was good. Clean and spacious.

Lunch time specials Love the ramen 🍜 here! It is what I like + noodle style (thin) , karaage chicken and truffles fries 🍟 so good! Free egg with lunch special “must order”. I will come back again!

We have not visited this ramen shop for a while. They expanded the menu to include Japanese Don for lunch. The ramen quality is still very good. Both of the Signature Clam Shio Ramen have excellent clam soup base. I still recommend people coming this ramen shop for authentic Japanese ramen!

Not my first time here, but the latest time I went was surprisingly bad because of the service. (The food was good) First, we ordered quickly after we sat down at the big community table because we knew what we were going to order. The couple beside us ordered maybe 10 minutes after us (this is relevant). Somehow their food (also two bowls of ramen) arrived before ours. Our side dish came and they gave us takeout chopsticks. Weird but okay. We looked around and we were the only ones with takeout chopsticks. After the couple beside us got halfway through their bowls, the staff realized they gave our order to them. We had already figured something was up. So that couple got their order replaced immediately, while the kitchen had to remake our order (which took another 5-10 minutes) All in all, it was not a great experience. At least the food was good.

This review is specifically for the lobster ramen. Soup was wonderfully thick and intensely flavourful, noodles were cooked well to stand up to the soup. My biggest qualm with this was the lobster - while only overcooked a tad bit, they left a large part of the intestines in the tail. I was unaware and my tail bite was really gritty - really ruined the experience unfortunately. The ham was also an afterthought, it was tough and didn’t have any flavour. When factoring in the price, I would suggest you skip this.

This is a really great ramen spot in North York. I've had the wagyu ramen twice and I'm a fan. The other ramen options are creamy and super tasty. I recommend the fried mushrooms for appetizer. They're crispy and flavourful, like chips but garnished with green onion and much more decadent. During my most recent visit, the server asked if I would like a half or whole egg in the ramen. I think this is a new option. If you like eggs, go for a few extra whole eggs. They're jammy and we'll marinated. I also recommend going for the super sized ramen so you can have next day leftovers.

When word first started circulation that Japan’s prized Michelin star Ramen establishment was opening up in Toronto, I could not wait to try it, and it did not disappoint. The main star of the show is curated from local produce, bar the noodles, which Mr. Atsushi Yamamoto himself had imported the noodle making machine over from Japan to ensure the same standard of excellence. Placing both hands on either side of the ramen bowl, the feeling is warming, but just a little too hot to keep holding on comfortably (meaning just the right temperature). Dipping the spoon in to explore, there are 5+ sections of the clamshell broth that are completely diverse in taste. Some consisting of shallots, others the spring onions, some with a more meaty taste of the finely cut chashu, and others of the marinated richness of the broth alone. The noodles are unique, almost square cut (not rounded), cooked Al dente, and have just the right springy texture and surface area to encapsulate the surrounding ingredients with a few slurps. Konjiki is not to be mistaken for the morish-ness, of some of the neighbouring establishments, where the MSG carry the dish. Konjiki is truly a culinary experience, that will appeal to the more experienced palette without the need for additives. There are a few customer favourite dishes, for those who’d rather stick to either Vegetarian (like kaiso salad), or chicken based (such as Karage). The location can be packed, but in most cases the turnover runs like clockwork so expect to be seated within 30mins to an hours wait time, unless it’s peak times, in which case make reservations. Absolutely worth a trip specific detour, and trying at least once.

Cool ramen joint that isn't one of the larger franchises. The interior is cool but feels a little cramped. The ramen is very good but the menu is limited. They were out of gyoza when I arrived but I'd like to try that next time. Spicy red ramen was good! The pork I got was not as flavourful as I thought itd be but perhaps it was overpowered by the broth and spice. There's a little dessert area in the front but they were out of ice cream at the time. Worth a stop!

Had their clam broth shoyu ramen and their special wagyu ramen. Tasted great only downside was we wish there was more. The wagyu ramen broth was very beefy and rich tasting. The shoyu with their signature clam broth was good and clean tasting. For apps, we tried their deep fried king mushrooms and chicken karaage. The mushrooms surprised us with how it was crisp, light and just melted in your mouth.

Been to this location and the downtown location many times already. Excellent ramen, arguably one of the best in Toronto. As expected from the one star Michelin restaurant from Shinjuku. What stands out with their ramen from others is their signature clam broth, as opposed to the usual tonkotsu or shoyu flavoured broths.

The spicy red Tonkotsu Ramen (picture) is my go to meal at Konjiki. Highly recommend it! I coukd tell right away that the noodles were freshly made in house. It has a kick to it but is not too spicy. Very flavourful and always go back when I crave it.

Really liked the options they had! best was the ramen with truffle oil. Lively place with nice and humble staff who helped us with the order. Would love to go again and try the other options on the menu. If you are a ramen lover this one is a must try..!!

I ordered ramen from here for the first time today for lunch and I ordered for takeout and the food was amazing!! I loved how they kept the broth separate from the actual noodles so we can pour them ourselves so it doesn’t get cold and it was a fun experience. The portions were also good and enough for one person. The staff was also friendly and helpful so I would definitely order from this place again🤩🤩

Always love thus Raman shop uptown. Their broth is so good and not salty. You can drink it all. Price is abit on the high side but i think its worth it. We ordered the tofu nugget which taste great too. We have a good night there. Highly recommend if you want a raman uptown.

My boyfriend and I visited here tonight because they had really good reviews, and we both got the Smokey Black Tonkotsu Ramen. There was a lot of the Smokey black oil on top it was nearly impossible to mix it in and it had a very grainy sandy texture. Upon taking a closer look at the reviews pictures, it seems people had way less of the black oil in their bowls. Shortly after eating this ramen and leaving, we both felt sick and threw up. Definitely something off about this place, don’t think we’ll be coming back.

The proof is in the Ramen. It’s absolutely delicious, the egg is seasoned. The beef broth was beautifully seasoned! I’m coming back for the takeaway frozen kits. I can understand why the sold out. They are following covid protocols, it’s clean and I feel safe here. The staff were friendly, helpful, courtesy and professional. Thank you! I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family to try.

One of the better ramen shops in the area. I had the signature mild shio ramen and my friend had the lobster ramen. I personally loved the mild flavour and my friend thought the lobster ramen was a bit heavy. I feel like they are understaffed for the amount of customers they have, but our server was friendly and attentive. I would come back again.

Definitely get the ramen when you come here. Their clam broth is super refreshing and has a great mild taste. Unfortunately, I opted to get the eel bowl and while it wasn’t bad, it was not very good. Definitely frozen and had a chew to it. Their lobster gyoza was also a little questionable but the rest of the stuff was good. Staff was super nice and attentive.

This ramen spot is awesome! The food is super tasty—flavorful broths and perfect noodles every time. But what really makes it stand out is the great service. The staff is friendly and on top of things, making your meal even more enjoyable. If you love ramen, this place is a winner!

Been to this location multiple times over the years and it never disappoints in terms of food or service. The ramen always has a good elasticity and texture to it, and the broth itself has great flavour and depth. The clam broth intense shoyu is still a classic go-to for me, but it's hard to go wrong with anything off the menu. Have also tried their Chicken Karaage and really enjoyed how the fry job was crisp, but still light and delicate. The chicken also avoided being dry and was delicious. Glad the quality and standard remains high!

Food was amazing, definitely recommend. The broth wasn’t heavy and it was flavourful. Gyoza was fried just right and the filling had plenty of meat. Nice cozy sit down, would definitely recommend

  • 4/5 Isabelle C. 10 months ago on Google
Ramen was good but the wagyu meat wasn’t as soft as I hoped. Broth tasted good, wasn’t very oily and the ramen noodles had a good texture. Appetizers were also good.

Came here on a double date. Overall, it was a solid experience! I ordered the spicy red and my gf got the vegetarian. I really enjoyed mine, although the vegetarian was really heavy with the soy milk. For appetizers we shared the tofu nuggets (amazing!), deep fried mushrooms (nice!), and some edamame. The service was friendly and the ambience was definitely what you'd expect from a ramen shop on a Friday night, no complaints!

  • 4/5 Nana W. 5 months ago on Google
Quick and friendly service. The intense clam broth was a bit underwhelming. It just taste like shoyu only, no clam taste. The tonkotsu ramen taste better. Not heavy in MSG, will give credit for that! The interior is ok but the sofa is really beaten up and the leather surface is peeling everywhere.

Honestly really disappointed. I had a bad experience with Konjiki at Yorkdale mall, but i brushed it off because I thought to myself “mall food isn’t that good anyway.” Which takes me to this review. I was near the area and decided to give Konjiki another chance honestly to be disappointed in the end. There is just no flavour in the broth and the noodles are not even good either. It was bland and tasted like flour. I also ordered karage because I like to compare appetizers at different ramen spots, and this one was honestly the worst one yet. It was not crispy at all, was oily, and on top of that it wasn’t even cooked through properly. I bit into it, it wasn’t hot at all and I saw pink. I’m only giving this place two stars because the server took the karage off my bill. Otherwise I think the Konjiki brand needs to try their own menu and fix it.

The clam based soup was definitely unique and a good try if you never had it before. Consider getting the seafood one though. Service was good. I liked the noodles and the soup, but was a bit disappointed in the pork chashu and the soft boiled egg. The chashu felt like a regular meat slice which was unlike some of the other ramen places I've been to. The egg was also over boiled by my standard, closer to a hard boiled egg than soft, and wasn't marinated enough.

  • 4/5 Justin N. 2 years ago on Google
Definitely one of the cleaner and better bowl of ramens I ever had. Highly recommend the smokey black ! Tastes great and definitely hits the spot. As for the appetizer I wouldn't recommend the mushroom.

  • 5/5 G W. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent and rich broth for the ramen. Noodles were a good texture. The smoked tomatoes were delicious. Sous vide meat was also well seasoned. The portioning was heavier on the noodle side. Prices are on the higher end. Interior is clean, stylish. Limited table seating, you may have to wait for a table or settle for the high bar (unless that’s what you’re looking for).

The restaurant has lots of good options for ramen. I have eaten konjiki at other locations and it’s all good in general. We have lobster ramen, lobster gyoza, Braised pork and karage chicken. Lobster ramen: i think it is okay but not worth the price, I prefer the clam soup better, not much veg, only 2 pcs of pepper 4/5 Lobster gyoza: really good 👍 especially the sauce recommended for everyone 5/5 Braised pork: good 5/5 King mushroom: they cut the mushroom too thin, i feel like I’m eating fried onions no taste of mushroom 4/5 Chicken karage: this is really different than others ramen place and I don’t really enjoy it because it’s not that crunchy and there is a tast of wasabi in the mayo sauce? Just keep it mayo is better and no lemon??? It has to be with lemon!! Other konjiki places have lemon and mayo Yes, the upset thing here is no lemon for karage or for my soup! I always eat my ramen with lemon to calm the salty flavour in the soup but this place has no lemon. Customer service:5/5 they are all friendly and helpful. Not much of a long line Will come back since other flavor of ramen is good!

My first ramen experience (I know I know… I was missing out). Really delicious!!! We both had the Spicy Red Tonkotsu Ramen. I would definitely order again. I just wish it came with more pork, next time I would definitely add extra. We also got the Chicken Karaage Don and spring rolls and both were yummy.

  • 3/5 Jessica Z. 2 years ago on Google
Special clam soup. However, as a ramen, it's not stunning. Deep fried king oyster mushroom has a tiny portion. I don't blame it since it's only $6.

  • 5/5 Rod M. 2 years ago on Google
Best Ramen I've ever had. We've tried tonnes of good and bad ramen restaurants around but this is by far the best. The broth and noodles are the star of the show, super flavourful it's ridiculous!

  • 5/5 Rebecca L. 2 years ago on Google
One of my favourite places for ramen! Both their signature clam broths are amazing and the appetizers I’ve tried are great too (I had the Gyoza and chicken karage). Definitely recommend. I’ve taken several friends there and they all enjoyed it! I came back when it was safe for patios and everything was well distanced.

Very nice experience, atmosphere, and most importantly, the ramen ingredients and base are all amazing. Compliments to the head chef. You can basically taste the passion put into the bowl

Very friendly staff, quick service and amazing food. I got the intense shouyu clam broth ramen with an soft-boiled egg, and it was delicious! I usually find the ramen broth at other restaurants too salty, but this one was the perfect saltiness. I wish the ramen came with an egg, but you can add an egg for about two dollars.

  • 5/5 Sam K. 2 years ago on Google
This place is amazing. I didn't quite trust when someone say Michelin star restaurant but it was worth trying and now I believe it was real and one of a kind. I always have Gyoza with Ramen since it goes really well with the meat and bone broth. It mostly tastes pretty standard at any Japanese restaurant even though they insist it's house-made but it was great and my friends were also satisfied. I also liked their service. They never say a word but kept filling the glass not to interrupt our conversation. Loved it here and I will definitely be a regular.

I went to Konjiki Ramen recently. I ordered "Smokey Black" The noodles had just the right amount of firmness, the flavor was intense, and everything was wonderful. I think it's the best ramen house in Toronto. I would definitely come back. I hope this restaurant will be opened in Korea. And what a cute cafe next door! Only during the winter season? Actually I’m not sure. They had a lot of very pretty cakes on display. I bought a Tiramisu!! It's so good!!! I'd like to try it again. I will go one more time before returning to Korea!

It was my first time eating ramen since coming to Toronto. I ordered Spicy red and the soup was very delicious with just the right amount of spices. The seasoned eggs were delicious too so I added them :)
