If I can give ZERO stars I will do it!! FIRST OF All they are soo rude! they only pick customers who can sit in the sofa area! SECOND! it's only around 9PM and they are all cleaning and still alot of customers eating! FYI: they will close at 12 am. Their mop is disgusting and really smelly! we lost our apetite and we didnt finish our food!! WE WILL NEVER BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN! picture for proof!! dont support this restaurant again!

Went with some friends to eat some ramen food and service was very good. The portions are big and great too. This is worth a trip solo or with friends

Arrived on 14Jun2023 at 1138h. Stopped at the door by who I believe is the owner and informed that I would not be served. She then peered at the kitchen to see that the staff had not yet started turning down, so said I could get takeout, but last call and I have two minutes to order as takeout only. She starts talking to the servers in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese to start turning down and clean up. Posted time for closing is midnight and as a single diner who is hungry and coming off of a 16 hour in hospital on call .. not going to take more than 5 minutes to eat. So I order take out since I have no choice to dine in, even though there's about 10 other diners slowly chatting away. I pay the 14.99$ + tax. I go outside and sit in the 9 degree Celsius weather in short sleeve scrubs and pop the ramen open to find there is what looks like a half portion of ramen with 50% bean sprouts. I close the container and go back inside to inquire why my portion is tiny and packed with bean sprouts as fluff? She says it is a standard portion. See the picture. Only half this tiny takeout container is food. Half of that is bean sprouts, so the noodles are almost non-existent. Without a choice. I scarf down my 15$ bean sprouts in the cold and go home. I get the worst gastro and am literally leaking water out from below all night. I am writing this on my toilet now as I continue my deep involuntary cleanse of my entire GI system. At least I'll look skinny when this gastro ends? Please avoid. The bean sprouts definitely did me in and were not washed proper.

This is my RAMEN SPOT. this location. It’s the best. Fast service as well. 4 stars only because their bowls and amount is shrinking, they used to have these huge black bowls. Now they’re smaller.

Flavor was just better than instant ramen. The outer layer of Takoyaki was tough. Service was awful. No water was served 15mins since we sat down even we asked couple times cause they were all focusing on packing take out orders.

I can definitely eat ramen anytime of the day, and any season! Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks! Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter! Lots of variety and options to try, flavorful, aromatic, noodles--always fresh. 🍜 looking forward for a Mississauga location, Ajisen!

Ordered the beef bowl with khimchi soup, and felt it lacked taste. Also, for it's quantity and taste it was way overpriced (17 with tax) and yet not filling for one person. Have had other Ramen bowls that were tastier, great on quantity and sufficient for two and yet cheaper than this.

    1. I called over the phone to ask if I can make a reservation and I was told that they don’t take reservations, walk in only. 2. My family of 6 gets there and there was a table with a “reserved” sign on it. I was confused because I was told they don’t take reservations, wouldn’t you be confused as well? 3. I asked if they could substitute the corn for half an egg, they have done it before, but the server told us they don’t do that there. I’m even more confused. The corn is more expensive than the egg, but you won’t do a substitution you’ve previously done or try to offer alternatives? 4. We sat at our table long after we finished, nobody came to check on us to see if we wanted the bill. There wasn’t really any services offered after our food was brought to the table. Hospitality was lacking heavily. 5. I observed as the hosts talked about the guests and laughed about them in plain sight. As much as we love Ramen, we won’t be coming back here after this experience.

A windy day's craving ends with ramen. It is open till 2 AM so at 10 when most places started closing we headed here. They have a couple of locations, the food is delicious the service is fast and just as polite as required. We ordered the spicy chicken ramen, the spicy ajisen ramen, Japanese fried rice and the chicken Katsu ramen. They were probably not expecting a surge as they apologised for not having the Katsu ready which arrived a good 10 mins after the ramen itself. All ramen's can be customized with your choice of broth and toppings, which is great so you can choose to make your food spicy or bland. Their spicy ramen's are a bomb, do try the garlic broth, Katsu and Corn salad for sides. The Japanese fried rice itself was a slight let down as it was just egg fried rice. The chicken was well cooked, but they didn't come together nicely and some flavor was needed. I will avoid. Overall a great place even for groups, quick turn around, plane jane good food. We split bills and would have come to about a $100 for a party of 5 with 2 pops, 3 ramen and a fried rice.

Good little Japanese restaurant. Food is tasty. And price is very reasonable. Service is awesome, staff helped us move our chairs and helped us to sit with our friends. We tried their chicken ramen - it's yummy. Best thing to try there is: fried shrimps. Must try!! Good simple decorations on the wall with different designs of bowls. And yes, loved the "Praise the Lord" plate on their door.

Here you can mix your ramen’s broth base with any of the meat options. Overall, the ramen tasted great but portions were smaller than what we expected. I had the mignon beef - very tender & tasty! Also, it was quite uncomfortable sitting on the black couches as they kept moving back and forth (any movement customers on the other side would make, would shake our seat). Respects for the sign on the door “Praise the Lord”. Got also a take-out from here - and I would say I liked the in-person experience better in terms of quality of food. Can’t tell if that’s because of the temperature of the broth or something else but there was a difference. That said, our order was complete and packed all with care correctly.

I got take out from here this evening and was very disappointed to find that both the noodle mix and the broth were literally only filled up half way. I didn’t notice until I got home and saw it. That is so disappointing because I go there all the time. Such a cheap thing to skimp on the portions.... If you guys want to give me half a portion then only accept half the money because this is just ridiculous.

Amazing ramen. We were very impressed. This place isn't talked about enough. I got the spicy chicken ramen, and the lighter one is the pork tonkotsu. Both amazing. The highlight, however, is the meat we got, which is the Steak Teppanyaki! Blew our mind.

Really delicious ramen! The broth was particularly flavourful and the noodles were nice and springy! The pork belly could have been softer but overall it was a solid meal!

Went on a Monday afternoon (1pm) and it was not busy. Friendly staff, great music going on (old classic pop songs and even anime songs), food was great especially their karaage chicken. Got our meal fairly quickly, my only complaint is water refills are not frequent. Food was very filling and their flavors were great! Prices are also not too bad so I will definitely be back 👍🏻

Came here with a large group around 10pm and was promptly seated. The restaurant had a decent ambience, but some furniture like the chairs seemed quite old and torn. Some new chairs would really liven up the restaurant. The service was alright. The waitress working was efficient and quite friendly, having to manage a huge table of guests so props to her. However, our group was missing some utensils like cups for water and chopsticks for eating and had to ask up to several times to get some. The food was pretty good. I had the Ajisen Ramen with extra pork (I asked for spicy Ajisen and was given regular) and our group shared some orders of takoyaki and kaarage which were well-cooked and fantastic. However, my friend's steak ramen was terrible. The steak came out fifteen minutes earlier than the rest of the ramen and was cold by the time the whole dish came out. The steak ramen was way overcooked and the meat was very tough to eat and chewy. If you end up coming here, try a non-beef ramen which is easier to prepare, you'll likely have a more enjoyable dining experience this way. Overall, although this Ajisen location had some good points like the appetizers, I cannot recommend this restaurant with its mistakes and shortcomings. Some improvements would really help them out. In the meantime, there are plenty of other delicious restaurants on Yonge to enjoy!

The ramen was pretty good and the restaurant was clean, but the waitress was rude. I went there for dinner and she was probably tired after a long day, which I understand. However, a less irritated attitude would be nice.

Good place for Vegan ramen. However the flavors were not too great. I have tried it before at their Markham location abd that was way better.

The appetizers takoyaki and fried gyoza were down to perfection. They were crispy and fresh. I had the steak ramen with the spicy mala broth. If you’re not used to spicy, tread carefully, as it’s quite spicy. If you love spicy, you’ll enjoy this broth. The steak comes separately on a hot sizzling plate. I got mine medium rare, but I wish I got it rare because the plate is hot enough to cook the steak more. I only wished that the steak came out after the ramen came out because the hot plate cooked my steak to medium well by the time my ramen out. Parking is limited paid street parking.

Hands down, it's the best ramen in North York. It's a casual place to have a meal. I love how they offer various vegetarian broths so everyone can choose the best ramen for them, with different types of broth, meats, and spiciness levels. I tried the Beyond Meat ramen; I think it's also unique. I've never seen options of Beyond Meat in any other ramen places. I walked out very full and happy 😊.

Food and service is great! I’m a regular here but I’ve noticed they overdo it with the bleach… the smell is still on the chopsticks and cups.. maybe even the tables? so it’s hard to enjoy the food and drinks.

I have been going to Ajisen for a long time and one thing I love is that I can go into any location and get similar tasting/quality food. I went to this location recently and had a great experience as well. Clean and quiet location, wasn’t busy. The ramen was fresh and the service was fast. No complaints. Definitely worth checking if you’re in the area.

Great ramen spot! We got the ajisen ramen and it was really spicy and delicious🥵 toppings were very tasty and the pork was on point. We also got the ramen with chiken on the side. The chicken was incredible, tasty and very juicy. Recommended for sure!

Did an Uber delivery. Was packaged pretty well. I liked that extra noodles for ramen actually came in a separate container. Opted in for garlic broth - is was really good. Really liked the potato katsu and spring rolls too.

Food is okay. Service of crew is okay. However, SANITATION is Zero 0/5. Their water cup or glass the black one isnt cleaned thoroughly. There are lipstick marks served to us. Please see photo.

First time trying this restaurant. I had the Spicy chicken Ramen, which tasted great! The food was on point. The food came out quite quickly as well after I ordered. The only drawback was the service. The staff spent more time staring wt their cellphones than they did doing their jobs. The staff needs training on how to greet guests, seat them, and provide decent service. Note to the owner: Not a good look from a customer service stand point when every staff member is constantly on their cell phones, and ignoring customers.

Love their Ramen! Hopefully next time they can improve their order taking. The order taker keeps on repeating our order and confuses everyone :)

Nice restraunt. There are a fair number of options and very happy that they can make any ramen base, except original, without pork. The dishes were a bit lack luster but it's a good place for a quick meal where you'd find something for most.

This location was clean and the service was quick and polite. The food came out in order and fresh. I recommend giving this place a try. I got the spicy beef filet mignon as my main then beef enoki, Japanese salad as a appetizer. Everything was cooked perfectly. Came Back recently and got black garlic Filet mignon Ramen. Definitely will be my go to dish. Plus with the steak piece cooked perfectly along with the pan fried gyoza.

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was alright but the food made up for it. Lots of seating space as well and a beautiful interior.

One of the best place for ramen, we've been here aplenty of times. Service is great. Only downside is the washroom with which you need to pass by a narrow hallway between kitchen and the counter.

Love the ramen at Ajisen!! Portions are plentiful, the meat is always tender and juicy, and the soups are delicious! The staff are friendly, and the restaurant is clean (and their Covid policies are commendable too). All in all, we will be frequenting Ajisen regularly!!

I really love this place! My favorite food to order is this Curry Pork Cutlet Rice set because I prefer rice than ramen! Although the staffs aren’t really friendly the foods are great tho!

Went for a quick date as I was craving for ramen. The place looks nice. There was a line up when we came in, it was around 8pm. We tried their original Ajisen Ramen and it was good. So sad that the takoyaki I so long to have was sold out that day. Will definitely come back again to try another dish.

Today me and my gf walked in and ordered two ramen at this location. Half way finishing our dinner, my gf saw a blue thing mixed on the ramen. I took the blue thing and examined it and it's a piece of blue rubber band swimming in the soup. Showed it to one of the staff and she brought it back to have them checked. Then i asked another staff for our bill. They said they will cancel one order and i just have to pay for the other one. I said i will pay for both as i ordered two items. Soups are good but disappointed for this incident or maybe it's good because of the extra blue ingredients. Let's hope my gf didn't ate any piece of that rubber band and cause any internal damage. ** Rubber band circled in the picture
