Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 4.5 Stars If you are looking for a great place to enjoy a warm bowl of Ramen during the chilly winter season, then you must visit the Sansotei Ramen located in Yonge and Finch area. I’m a big fan of their ramen at the 9555 Yonge St Unit 12, Richmond Hill, ON L4C 9M5 location and I was not disappointed here. This location is a part of the Sansotei Ramen franchise, known for its delightful staff, rich broth, and mouth-watering ramen. Upon entering the restaurant, you are greeted by a friendly staff that is always ready to make your dining experience memorable. The menu is short and to the point, featuring only the best and most authentic Ramen dishes. The broth, which is the cornerstone of any Ramen dish, is a blend of tonkatsu and is rich in flavour, providing the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. I personally prefer the tick noodles, perfect chewiness and just a great bite. The cha shu pork belly is melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the creamy ajitsuke tomago ramen egg provides an added depth of flavour to the dish. In addition, the Spicy TanTan noodles are a must-try for those who crave a unique twist on the traditional ramen experience. This dish is characterized by its tantalizing combination of heat and taste. The spiciness level is just right, adding a bold and fiery edge to the dish without overwhelming the taste buds. The noodles are cooked to perfection and blend seamlessly with the rich and flavorful broth, creating an unbeatable combination of texture and taste. Whether you’re a fan of spicy food or simply seeking to add some excitement to your meal, the Spicy TanTan noodles at Sansotei Ramen are sure to deliver. The Spicy Slow Cooked Wings are also a great appetizer or side to pair with your ramen, delicious bold and spicy flavours. The wings are cooked to perfection, ensuring a juicy and tender interior, while the crispy exterior packs a fiery punch. The spicy glaze is well-balanced and does not overpower the natural flavour of the chicken. These wings are sure to leave a lasting impression on your taste buds and are a must-try for those who appreciate both heat and flavour. The servers are attentive, professional and always willing to help. If you want to enjoy your Ramen without any disturbance, then the music playing in the background is just the right volume. The tables are higher than usual, making it comfortable to slurp and enjoy your Ramen. Parking is available in front of the restaurant, with a paid option, or you can park for free at 500 Doris Ave within a short walk. Just mention that you are coming from Sansotei Ramen and parking on the commercial side when you buzz in. In conclusion, Sansotei Ramen located in Yonge and Finch is another great franchised location that offers a fantastic ramen experience. The broth, noodles, and toppings are all fresh and delicious, and the servers are always ready to help. If you are a Ramen lover, then you must visit this location. kellychan360

Delightful staff and heavenly rich tonkatsu broth. Tasty, melt in your mouth, slight sweet, chashu pork belly and creamy ajitsuke tomago ramen eggs round out the dishes depth, flavour and textured. The thin noodles were reocmmmened over thick. They carried a little bite but not so much broth. This delicious bowl cracks my top ten best ramen bowl experiences and that's saying a lot. Would recommend.

I ordered Tonkotsu Black Ramen for takeout and I made a special request for no green onions but they ignored the request (as you can see from the picture). The overall taste was very disappointing, the noodles were super greasy and they barely gave any broth.

DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT from this restaurant. I can’t say much for the dine-in quality, but I ordered the miso black ramen and fried chicken and both items had incredibly small portions, were packaged improperly for take-out and frankly did not taste good. The $20 miso black ramen was on par with $1 instant noodles and the fried chicken had barely any chicken… not sure how they portion things in restaurant but they need to step up their takeout packaging and portions. Don’t bother ordering from here on Uber eats or any delivery apps.

Food that can't go wrong. Pork was very soft and flavourful. Egg was perfectly done. Would have been 5/5 if the salt didn't completely mask the flavour of the soup. For two thin pieces of pork and a handful of noodles, the price was a bit higher than I thought...not sure if the noodles were made in-house but it doesn't seem like it.

One of my favourite ramen places. Very consistent and good food. Definitely recommend it to someone who doesn’t know where to get delicious ramen.

Excellent ramen. Try the wings - it was incredibly savoury. Also: the service staff were so efficient and pleasant!!!

I order here all the time and usually the food is great but today I ordered the zangi and was very surprised at what I received. I ordered through Uber and the app is almost $9, I received 5 very small pieces of chicken. While I don’t expect a huge portion this was pretty sad looking. Not pictured is the lemon I removed before taking the picture. For $9 I expected the normal Portion I always get and I’m sure I wouldn’t have received that sad looking portion in the restaurant but Uber eats you don’t have to deal with the customer so I’ll probably think twice before ordering again.

Food was just so so…. Meat they gave was very skimpy (it was like they got the thinnest slicer they could find… but like at what cost do you save with a tenth of a mm slices who knows) broth was ok. Service was pretty non existent. Servers went to the very back and didn’t come out for 30 minutes… we weren’t the only ones waiting for them and it wasn’t even busy. Asked for the bill but they never came back so we went to check at the counter and the server was just sitting there playing a game on their phone…

Nothing like a hot ramen on a cold day! Tonkotsu ramen is my favourite comfort meal and Sansotei really delivers! Add the shiitake mushrooms because the flavour of them is so good! I also added in a bunch of stuff because i like a busy bowl. The only thing I would have added is a touch of chilli oil but they didn’t have any on the table (maybe ask? they probably have! i was just too hungry to ask 😂) But solid spot!

Mazemen tasted great, better than Konjiki’s. Wish there was a non-vegetarian option. My wife ordered the TanTan Soup Noodle and the person who brought it over had his thumb in the soup which really killed the vibe. We didn’t bother saying anything and it tasted fine and obviously we expect staff regularly wash their hands so it’s not a big deal, was just off putting hence the three stars instead of four or five. Glad this little shop exists and seems to be doing well but it’ll probably be a while before my next visit.

Get the tonkotsu black! It's a milky, pork-based broth with egg, mushrooms, scallions, and thick noodles! It's super tasty with a rich garlic flavour that is not overpowering. The pork is nice and tender and the mushrooms are nice and crispy. You will not be disappointed 😊

I ordered the Tonkatsu Black with thick noodles. The broth was rich in flavor but masked with too much salt. Ask for less salt. Portion was okay but on the smaller side. Usually I can’t finish my ramen bowls at other ramen locations but I finished this bowl easily. Overall not bad…if you’re hungry it’s pretty good. LOL

This is a very well known chain in Toronto, known to be a lot of people’s favourites- for me, it’s in the top 3 for sure! The thing about the location is…there’s some problems. Let’s start with the food though, it was the best part. I got the black garlic and my friend got the black miso. We also got seaweed salad and corn croquette. The ramen was amazing. The noodles were chewy, the broth was heartwarming, and the meat just melted in your mouth. I ate the corn croquette, that one was mid. It’s a new item and I like croquettes a lot so I thought I’d give it a try, but the flavour is just in a blend very well, but like every single Santosei Ramen store, the ramen was very good. Is it pricey? Yes, it’s 16-18$ for noodles 😭 but that’s Toronto for you. Now, the service. The people themselves were really kind and nice. They did their job properly, it’s nothing on them. The thing this mostly relates to is the layout of the place. Where we were seated and where they are standing, they can’t see if we need their help at all. They didn’t really check that much, especially for when we wanted to order at the beginning. Again, this is nothing on the workers, this is more about how they created the layout of the restaurant. Another thing about the layout is the washroom. The lighting is really bad. And I’m not talking for bathroom. Mirror pics, I’m talking about about can-I-see-if-the-toilet-seat-I’m-about-to-sit-on-is-dirty type of deal. You really can’t see anything. I get that there’s not much space in the washroom, so it definitely feels cramped. Your knees are almost touching the wall when you sit down. But it’s mostly the lighting. This leaves into the smell, there was a really odd smell around the middle of the restaurant…not sure what’s that about. No complaints for the workers and food, just saying how it could improve.

I had the TONKOTSU+ bowl, which is a combination of smoked pork pastrami, meatballs, chashu, daikon, shiitake, green onion, and truffle oil. This medley created a symphony of flavors that made each bite truly memorable. The rich and savory broth was the star of the show, perfectly complemented by the well-cooked noodles and the variety of toppings.

Location: I went to the Sansotei Ramen location near yonge and finch. The inside of the restaurant has good décor, and there was lots of seating. I sat down and was prompted by the waitress that there are no physical menu's and I would have to scan their QR code to find the menu online. I went around 2:00 PM and there was no one else in the restaurant. The restaurant did not have shoyu ramen at the time I went so I ended up going with the Miso Black Ramen and croquettes The Food: I got Miso Black Ramen, aesthetically, the ramen looked great especially with the vibrant purple flower. The broth had an odd flavor to it. I've had miso broth before but this time it just tasted sort of weird. The noodles were fine, the egg was great, the mushrooms were very tasty. The croquettes were not good. They put corn inside the croquettes but I'm unsure if the corn was frozen or not because it was tough to chew on. Price: I ended up paying over $20 for my meal. Overall: The customer service was great, the waitress was very attentive. The meal however, was just okay... I definitely wish I had gotten a different ramen set, I don't know if I would return to this location.

This location is always consistent with their food. I’ve always been satisfied after my meal. I would recommend asking what noodle type is best suited for your choice of ramen. The thickness does make a different in the overall experience of the dish! This location does have limited seating but it is worth the wait.

I've eaten here before and their ramen is great, but I ordered on Uber recently and it barely came with any broth. Probably 1/10th of a cup amount of broth. (I added my own nori and ate a little before taking the photo). I got two bowls, both barely any broth.

Ordered the Tonkatsu Black with thick noodles. Pros: - Tasty - Well presented - Quick service (but also a cons see later) Cons: - Small portion (It was enough for me but I generally can't finish ramen at other locations) - Service is so so compared to others (Lack on engagment this is more like a fast-food kinda place) - Part of the quick service is also issues with giving u the check right away not even asking for it, which I don't see it anywhere, they generally ask. - Small location, so expect to be tight. Again not a bad place and definitely try it out, the ramen is good but they could definitely improve. PS: Maybe they were tired on a Sunday 6pm 😬

Tried this spot for the first time and really enjoyed it! I was especially happy with the quality of the noodles as they tasted really fresh, as well as the flavours in the dish. I would’ve liked more garlic in my dish, but I still really enjoyed it. I liked that there was a small menu- it shows that they stick to what they are good at without an overwhelming menu. The service was prompt and good, and I will be back to try their other dishes. I liked the spice level of my ramen.

A bowl of Ramen during a cold rainy day or winter always hits the spot, and this is the best spot in the area for it. The restaurant is clean with friendly staff, however, parking is kinda hard since they're on a small road off of Yonge

Got the Tonkotsu Plus ramen and was pleasantly surprised! I like having variety in my meal and this was exactly up my alley. The only thing is that the meatballs feel very out of place. Everything else including the daikon and pastrami were great!

Great service and food. But for some reason, they kept forgetting my thick noodles even though I've requested for it. Maybe in my 10th times they won't forget it after this review. Thanks again! We'll be back as always. Stay safe.

Love, love, love their spicy tan tan ramen, along with tontaktsu black. Personally I prefer Sansotei over other ramen places around the area. Cheers !!!

Very good food, as always. What else can you expect from Sansotei. Came from Ottawa, there were so many choices of ramen restaurants around that area, but we selected Sansotei and weren't disappointed

I ordered the mazemen as I do not eat pork. Mazemen was full-flavoured, and loved that it was a fully vegetarian option. It was a perfect balance of spices, the eggplant gravy was cooked really well. Croquette was crispy and went well the dish. With a side of zangi the combo was perfect. Will definitely be back for the same dish.

Great ramen shop. Very flavorful and clean tasting broth. Lots of options available in thin or thick noodles and the traditional appetizers, like gyoza are also available. Highly recommended.
