Food: Average Korean food, you won't be surprised nor disappointed. Price: I am not sure is it because of post Covid or inflation reason, $16.99 for a pork bone soup with rice, seriously I don't think it worth, the max it worth from my point of view is 9.99$. Service: If this is what you looking for, forget about it, you will not find it in this restaurant, at least this location. Servers here are poker face, no feedback, I don't even know did the sever heard me. No "thank you", "yes", "no" or "ok", they will just walked away after you finished. Sorry, too many Korean restaurants nowadays, this one definitely not competitive enough for today's standard.

Extremely disappointing. Definitely not the high price I paid for. Ordered the tuna kimchi stew which was absolutely flavourless. They didn’t even cut the kimchi to smaller pieces. Almost as it they dunked some kimchi and tuna into a pot with hot water. The tuna pieces as well so big and chunky, flavourless. You couldn’t taste anything in the stew. The veggie tofu stew was better but not a good amount of veggies vs tofu. The tteokbokki was the worst I’ve had. The sauce was soo runny that you couldn’t even dip it properly and it didn’t coat the rice cakes well. And they didn’t even put much fish cakes and rice cake. More of onions than anything else. The seafood pancake was really good. Just disappointing that they don’t even give you any plates to take your snacks and food in.

My first experience at Owl of Minerva. The staff, ladies were very nice and attentive. One even noticed that I finished two side dishes and quickly gave me a second serving! 😊 I ordered the Pork Bone Soup. It was really good and meat was tender and tasty even without the hot spices. Highly recommend. Place was very clean. Will visit again!

This is for delivery As difficult as it is to transport, Owl does delivery and takeout - the kam ja tang ($10.99) is vacuum sealed so that no drop of the fragrant soup is lost. Without the hot stone bowl, it’s warm on arrival, so we always re-heat it in a pot before tucking in. It needs to be enjoyed in its full glory: blistering hot, burning the fingers, and stinging the tongue. No pain, no delicious gain. While waiting for the pork bone to re-heat, snack on an order of gu man du ($10.99). The deep-fried dumplings still surprisingly crispy and hot despite also being entombed in plastic. Truthfully, I’d much rather Owl switch to a piece of tin foil to wrap the beef dumpling instead of using so much plastic. We can all benefit from less waste and if someone wanted to re-heat the dumplings in the toaster oven, the tin foil will even save the customer a preparation step.

Food was good quality and price was very fair considering quality and portions. Definitely worth a visit. PROS: Quality Price Parking is easy to find CONS: They use Styrofoam which is bad for the planet Too many screens inside is ver distracting

I always order at Famous Owl Minerva because of their delicious food but I sadly won't order again. I ordered Budae Jiigae and Japchae on September 6 (yesterday) at 7:35 am with doordash. The Japchae had a cockroach in it. It's so disgusting. I'm so disappointed. The food was sealed for tamper proof, so I know that cockroach was from the restaurant. I got my refund. But I will not order again from you.

Great late night spot! Unlimited side dishes (favorite cucumber kimchi), great flavor and open 24hrs. Must try items include gamjatang, spicy stir fry squid (#24) and beef japchae (#28)! Definitely recommend dining in over take out (I’ve noticed take out has smaller portion sizes and taste is a noticeably a little different)!

There is nothing wrong with the food but the issue is the dining experience in general. There seems to be a lot of flies in the restaurant which were either gathering on the plexiglass next to us or landing on our cups. Ignoring this, I was then surpised to see that our side dishes and bowls were served on styrofoam. I get that it's covid but it really cheapens how the food looks. Luckily your main courses will still be served in their original plating. What made me write this review was that I've noticed that the restaurant preps the side dishes ready on the styrofoam plates. There isn't much wrong with this except that there is no covering to prevent the flies from landing on the food, which they did. My recommendation is that take-out or delivery is still fine, but dining in is very subpar to standard korean restaurant levels.

Came here with a friend for dinner. We got pork bone soup and spicy chicken drumstick stew. The chicken stew came with 5 drumsticks, which was a lot more than I expected. The food tasted alright. The menu prices are average. I like the lively atmosphere of the restaurant. They get very busy during the evening, so you may have to wait a bit for a table.

Nice Korean restaurant. They have many food options. There is a better price if you pay cash. You do not have to wait for the food because the service is really fast.

Upon my recent visit to a Korean restaurant(The famous owl of minerva in North york), I had the pleasure of indulging in some truly delectable food. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance made me feel right at home. The friendly staff swiftly seated me and assisted in making recommendations from the diverse menu. One dish that particularly stood out to me was the traditional bulgogi. The tender marinated beef, grilled to perfection, offered a harmonious balance of sweet and savory flavors. Every succulent bite left me craving for more. Accompanied by a side of steamed rice and an assortment of banchan, the combination was absolutely delightful. The banchan, with its vibrant and diverse flavors, complemented the main dish wonderfully. The service at the restaurant was exceptional as well. Despite the busy atmosphere, the staff remained attentive and efficient in their service. They were more than happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had, making my dining experience even more enjoyable. Visit to this Korean restaurant was a true feast for the senses. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by friendly faces and treated to an array of mouthwatering dishes. The flavors and authenticity of the food were unparalleled, and the attentive service only added to my overall satisfaction. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic and memorable Korean dining experience.

A classic Korean resto with authentic dishes. Their seafood pancakes are crispy, not greasy at all, with lots of seafood inside. Veggies too! Their beef soup is rich but not salty at all, they expect you to add salt by yourself. It's a healthy option. Highly recommended!

Best place for late night rendezvous. After concert, after crying, after work, after drinks. Our go to place and the best part is, they have parking! Aesthetics are not the best but food has always been on point. The smell of the place is not as appetizing as the smell of their soups but would keep on coming back for late night food.

The dishes are always consistent across locations. Honestly still one of my fave places to get Korean food! The only downside is that they accept cash only and we were mistakenly told otherwise at the start.

Ordered the pork bone soup off of Uber Eats, which had lots of meat but tasted average. Might be better when dining in though.

I went here during the Nuit Blanche festival; even the midnight still had to wait for the seats; it's a trendy Korean restaurant in North York. Potato comes with pork bones and some kimchi to make the soup umami and different layers of taste. And the price is affordable; I highly recommend here for the night snacks.

I've been coming to this spot for more than a decade and I don't think I will ever get tired of it. The pork bone soup, bulgogi and spicy chicken are always made perfectly whether it's 4PM or 4AM. The staff are friendly and efficient. Make sure to take advantage of their stamp system, every 10th order is a free pork bone soup ^_^. P.S if you can't park on Yonge St, there is additional parking in the back of the restaurant.

Taste is good as we can remember. However, (1) Missing the sauce for the seafood pancake.(see photo) πŸ˜‘ (2) They only provided 1 side dish, unlike other Korean restaurants in the area provide more than 1 side dish.πŸ˜• (3) With the price we paid for three items today, they are overpriced compare to other Korean restaurant along the Yonge St in North York area !!!

This place is my favourite place to get fish roe soup out of all the rest in the city. This time the soup was actually filled with toppings, so great!! There have been a few times in the past when there were less toppings. But the soup is always consistent, spicy, flavourful and fresh tasting (some fish roe can sometimes taste fishy, never a problem here). I will likely try some other dishes from here next time. They currently have 10% off on cash takeout orders.

It's a great place to have authentic Korean dishes. This restaurant is just exactly the same as restaurants in Korea. I recommend having a κ°μžνƒ•(pork bone soup). It's truly amazing.

The Pork Bone soup ... this is my "go to" when I need a hearty meal. Every morsel of the dish including the kimchee and rice is just sooooo good. Downside is that other 2 locations (Bayview, Steeles/Midland) just don't quite deliver this comfort food the way the Yonge Street location does.

Favourite korean restaurant and it’s open late! So many options and they all come really quickly. We went on a weekday night and it was still busy so it was a great option for a late night eat. Lots of parking in the back if you drive in. Highly recommend the Korean Fried Chicken for sharing on the table!

If you want some delicious affordable korean food this is the olace you might want to check out. A lot of variety to choose from. Service is great. And heads up you need to bring cash. They only accept cash. I dunno if it just so happen when we went there that day. But the server says cash only.

Excellent Korean pork bone soup (gamjatang) experience. Generous amount of meat and savory soup taste. They also had other kid-friendly menu and other well-regarded Korean dishes. Did I mention they have their own parking lot at the back? Ample parking takes the worry of parking in the busy area of North York.

A very good Korean place best known for Pork Bone Soup, the food really taste good. Perfect for cold snowy nights during winter and it is open 24 hours.

Got the chicken stew, stir fry beef intestine with vegetables and pork kimchi with pork. Chicken stew was delicious, love the sweet blend on the stew with its spices. The beef intestine was okay. It was best paired with a cold beer or soju. The problem with the pork kimchi with tofu was the amount of measly tiny little pieces of pork overflowing with kimchi. That was a rip off for $23 plus bucks. Food is okay. Prices are little high for small amount of meat served.

My family's been eating here for almost 20 years. Whenever we feel for Korean food, we go here. Open 24 hr and packed most of the times. Many times you may even have to line up during dinner time. That tells you how popular and good they are. It's a great family restaurant. Food is yummy. Service is good. It's been through many different waiters/waitresses and they're all very pleasant people. Prices have got expensive over the years but you can't really blame them, it's just like that with everything, especially after Covid.

Just walked in into the restaurant and decided to check it out. This location is pretty busy and might be difficult to get a table. It’s worth the wait. They have an extensive menu and plenty of dishes to choose from. The food was great and we were served in time as well though, the restaurant was so busy. Overall, had a great experience here and would definitely come again.
