If I could give 0 stars I would. Don’t get me wrong, some dishes were great however the service was terrible. Long wait time to be served and the lady was just sliding our cutlery, side dishes and everything across the table rather than passing/placing it nicely. On top of that I was more embarrassed by her shouting at me in front of all my friends for not giving tip.. last I checked tips are voluntary and only given for services that deserve that extra $$. The staff need to work on their customer service and not yell at people for not tipping. You will receive that once you’ve made the effort to actually receive it. Very upsetting.

The food here is amazing and portion wise is quite filling. But the only issue I have is their customer service. It’s honestly upsetting how, once I’ve paid my bill and the server forcefully asks me to add more from my tip is ridiculous. I have no issue but to ask me to add more because it isn’t enough? It’s sad to have you’re employees force customers to pay more from tipping when, what’s the point of having the option of choosing how much to pay? The lady that served me seriously didn’t deserve that tip if she didn’t say “can you add like 4$ more.”

I visited Nak Won for dinner at around 530 pm on a Tuesday and was seated right away (party of one). It wasn't too busy when I got there but filled up as the time went on. Service was efficient and friendly. If you're not familiar with Korean bbq and/or Korean restaurants, you'll be left alone to enjoy your meal. If you need a server, there is a "call" button on the table. I ordered the Tookbaegi Bulgogi (marinated sirloin in a hot stone bowl with veggies and glass noodles) and it was delicious. The bulgogi had more (black) pepper flavor than I've had before, but I liked it. The portion was huge and I had enough to take home. The dish also comes with a side of white rice. The banchan (side dishes) were also great. Japchae was included, which is my personal favorite. The goguma (Korean sweet potato) was SO good, too. Sweet and delicious. I had a great meal here and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

Blessed Korean eats. Also they got some cute booths that you can sit in with your group! Update: I went again, still nice but the new ordering system they have where you put in your orders on a table side screen can be difficult with groups, there are lots of bugs. If they got software dev internships let me know

Came here with my friend. We ordered the following: 1. dduk boki (rice cake with sweet and spicy sauce) 2. jajangmyun (black bean sauce noodle with pork and vegetables). Lots of side dishes were provided, but the food was just alright.

Went here with some friends visiting from Arizona. Service was amazing, we did hot pot with bulgogi and food/ flavour was out of this world. Thank you so much for the amazing experience! This place is open late too!

Honestly, this is probably one of my favourite restaurants in the city. It’s very no-fuss. The food isn’t mind-blowing, but still very tasty and reasonably priced. The kimchi chigae (kimchi stew) and bossam (pork belly) are especially good. They give you a lot of side dishes too! It can get really busy, so the service could be a bit slow at times, but I’ve always had really nice servers. I’ve been here probably over 20 times throughout the years, and always leave full and happy. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a quick comforting meal, or just late-night eats!

Holy hoo-haw! What an experience, entered the restaurant around midnight on Saturday and left after about an hour. Amazing to think we can get such good food this late into the evening…truly meeting people’s cravings. Spicy pork bibimbap, bulgogi bibimbap and dkuk boki are definitely note worthy and enjoyable. The fried chicken….not so much Service was chill…nothing special

Though the food looks good in the way of presentation however doesn’t have a taste on it. The place is dark and cozy with rude waitresses. You love the food or not, you are forced to tip them with rudeness. Never going to this restaurant again.

Visit: September 2023 The staff was quick whenever we needed anything. We found that some of the menu was confusing on pricing and options, such as when it asks to choose a soup and you are able to sleect multiple soups at no cost, and any quantity, which wasn't actually allowed. The meat and marinade was pretty good, but there wasn't much for the price we paid. For ~$55, we got 8 pieces of pork and 6 pieces of marinated beef, with a kimchi stew. The meat pieces weren't all too big either

Service was good but the soup was really bland (as you can see in the photo). Their quality of food has decreased in my opinion. And the price has increased so much it’s totally not worth it now.

Date: Jun 20, 2023 Foods: 10/10 Service: 10 Serving Time: 9 Portions: 9 Ambience: 6 Cleanliness: 3 Price: 7 Parking: 3 Complimentaries: N/A Most of the foods tasted great and the service was excellent !! It was a bit dark there inside the private room, and made it hard for us to read the menu. They should put more efforts to properly maintain the cleanliness of their wahsrooms. They were dirty, had strong foul odor and poorly lit. Good luck in finding a parking spot on the street or in the parking lot behind Shoppers' Drug Mart. I came there at 8 pm on Tuesday, but I still had to wait more than 15 mins to finally get a spot. It'll be better next time for me taking a subway to get there, as it's just a stone's throw away from TTC Station.

I’ve been coming here for 3-4 years and I love it! The place is always clean and the waiters are always friendly no matter how much I bother them. They do have there good days and bad days but there always welcoming. The food is amazing here and I tried almost everything on the menu and I love it! I wish I had more pictures to share but it seems like I enjoy the time there off my phone:)

I’ve been going to this homey Korean spot ever since I was 14. It’s set up like a old time family restaurant, very reminiscent of the ones in the suburbs of Seoul! The workers are all so kind and honestly the environment feels like your mom made you food :) one of the best spots in the winter for some soup or a really healthy meal with out spending a fortune! Thank you to the staff at NakWon for always saying true! (Pic of 02/08/22 visit)

Came here for dinner with a group of 6 on a Friday night around 9pm. We were sat extremely fast in a private booth, the service was fast overall. As soon as we hit the button we had a server immediately. We ordered 5 Pork bone soups and 1 Kalbi order with a side of rice. Food and banchan came very fast. Loved the fish cakes, japchae, cucumber salad and kimchi especially. Pork bone soup was spicier than normal (definitely a plus). I found the Kalbi was a bit chewy and the pork bone soup was lacking a depth of flavour.

Delicious; I enjoyed the six side dishes with my gamja tang. There is good privacy with tall walls for the booth seats. There is a button at the tables to call for a server to assist. I tried the pork bone soup with ramen (instead of rice). I think it pairs better with rice to be able to balance the flavour better. Really delicious. Seems they close at 5:30 am rather than 6 based on the staff there.

There’s not much Korean people in the restaurant, their soup tastes just like I made at home lol. Anyway their dining table includes a bbq area, for groups of people they have serval personal dinning rooms too. But their menu is pretty normal, seems like a fast food restaurant.

Service is decent, but food is amazing. Their side dishes are delicious especially the kimchi and fish tofu. I love their grilled fish here! Definitely recommend. Their pork and chicken Katsu is great too; love the sauce that goes on top of it

Got us a takeaway of the pork cabbage bone broth and sea food noodles (don't recall the traditional name). They also gave us a variety of sides, which were delicious and sadly the only thing we truly enjoyed 🍵 the broth /soup came with rice and variety of sides. While the sides were great, the soup lacked the flavour and spice I was expecting based on previous experiences. The meat tasted good but the broth wasn't upto standards 🍜 this was a mediocre dish, felt it was just mixed and served. It had a distinct fishy smell that wasn't pleasant, the seafood wasn't cooked well and very rubbery. The noodles were ok. Will I go again, probably yes.

staff shouted at us and forced us for 10%tip, if their costumers were students, it is not proper to force costumers for tips, it is hard to earn money here, and every dollar counts, and the approach was really rude, to raise voice just because we opted no tip then forced us to tap our card again so she could have 20$ tip. tsk tsk very disappointing. And when my friend was asking for another glass of hot water she did not give but was very aggresive to for the tip claiming it is mandatory. even served us a a yellowish colored lettuce...poor service!

This was a nice Korean restaurant right near Finch Station. You can order directly from the table's tablet which was convenient, but I wish there was a search option. Curried Chicken Katsu was superb, as well as their Pork Bone Soup. I love the side dishes too! This place is mostly open throughout the day and night. There weren't many people at night, so it was a peaceful dinner.

have been a patron for 10+ years. Used to be a decent and economic place with great Korean food at low price. Recently the quality has dropped while the price has increased greatly. Maybe I should blame the pandemic. They have also removed some of the combos from the menu and told me to "make two separate orders" which effectively double the price. For that reason I am visiting less frequently these days.

Used to be good place with ok fast food but now they ask for vax pass and looks like only few strange eating there now. Time to find new restaurant to eat.

disappointing is understatement. very poor service the old lady shouted at us when we opted not to give her a tip, she insisted and forced us to tap our card again, that is emotional blackmail. She insisted that we give 20$. If one costumer is earning a minimum wage , 20$ is a huge amount and no one should experience humiliation by not giving tip. I regret dining in this restaurant. It was a huge mistake. Poor service very unprofessional...

Heard about this place, decided to give it a try as a late night snack. Food was good and the servers were really friendly. I like how they kept refilling our side dishes and asking if we needed more without us asking. Only thing missing from this place when we dined in was some music, way too quiet.

The japchae I ordered via DoorDash is too salty. I think there is too much soy sauce as the color of the noodle is too dark. I cannot eat it. Unfortunately no refund for me. Wasted $20 for this. This restaurant used to have a good food.

I know each person has different taste, but for me, this one is above the average. I don't understand why the review is so low. Food is good and I like the set up of their dinning room. I always feel comfortable and satisfied every time I come here!

Excellent food. Excellent service. Did I mention, excellent food? Ordered the Bulgogi Bibimbap. Generously portioned, hot, fresh and the table side gochujang is always a bonus for a spice-lover like me. All tables are set up as booths, so you're given that extra bit of privacy when dining with friends or a date. All tables also come with a call-button so it takes away time spent flagging down a server. They come right to you when you need refills on anything. I've been here twice in two weeks so that should speak for itself, if it's any reflection on the food/service. 20/10!

We always went to other Korean restaurant and we had a great food, services and they are friendly as always..But in this restaurant NAkwon Korean Is definitely the worst place that I went to..First,the services are not very approachable..I need to press the buzzer many times before they ask my orders.Secondly, the waitress forced you to give 10% tip..When you asked why? They answered back and shout at you saying that the restaurant policy..and they told me because I lived in Canada.....I just want to emposed this...It depends with the costumers whether you give or not the tip...But very wrong if you forced the costumers to give 10% tip and tell them that reason is because you lived in Canada...For how many years that I went at korean restaurant this is the first time in my life that someone shout at me and very sarcatic attitude that I experienced in this restaurant..There is no next time in this restaurant...!!!!Sarcastic,rude and very very poor services!!!

SO DELICIOUS. Seriously, I don't care what those softies are saying about the service. If the food is good, slap my face for all I care. The side dishes are so delicious, the food is always well seasoned. Everything they do is with great care. Absolutely love them, my new favourite Korean spot.

I love the gamjatang with instant ramen here! I always ask for Extra spicy. It’s great when they make it right … half the time the gamjatang DOES NOT come extra spicy☠️so I can not enjoy it. ( I just really like spicy food ) But this is the only place I can eat gamjatang because they actually know how to make it extra spicy and taste good when they do listen lol. I have tried multiple korean restaurants’ gamjatang and it doesn’t hit the same. Reading the reviews, I can totally agree with a lot of them! Nakwon Northyork can definitely work on their customer service. They can be nicer and listen to customers more. Most of the times, It is usually the older women who are serving (their english isn’t the best and cashing you out) We are in a middle of a pandemic and inflation so it must be hard. They are working hard, let’s try to be positive and support :)

I’ve been coming here for the last 6 years and the food has simply been amazing every time. Service is nothing too special but the food itself is consistently great. Located at the end of Yonge and Finch, I could not recommend this place more as it is simply a great choice for Korean food.
