One of THE BEST AYCE BBQ in Toronto!!! It was the first time I dine in there and there will soon to be more times that I’m gonna eat at Shinta. First thing first, the space, decorations, the atmosphere… look amazing, I’ll give it 5 stars. Secondly, the food… damn everything are plated nicely and tasted freaking delicious. Last but not least, the service is top notch, particularly our server, Sabrina, she was amazing and super attentive, one of the best servers I have met. It was an amazing dining experience and I cannot wait to come visit you guys again. Please keep up with your services! I came back to make an update, last time I was there I didn’t have that good experience

Good quality restaurant. My family tried all you can eat, quality is keeping good as usual. Service is good and polite. Not very attentive but acceptable because you can realize staffs are super busy and they did their best. Good vibe and environment. You definitely get what you expected for such price. Don’t forget to get free parking when you pay for the bill.

Went there for my birthday today and had a great experience. Ivy, who was my server, made my experience better. She was nice and overall a friendly person. She was very acomidating for us, since I didn't know I was able to get a free soft drink. She just gave it to me before I left. The food was amazing. It was better than I anticipated. The look of the restaurant was very comfy, and the seats were very comfortable... Ultimately, I would recommend this place.

My wife and I went to this place on my birthday. We went with the silver package. The whole environment was great. Even tho The meat was pretty fresh and everything, we were not so surprised by the meat quality since we had been to Japan several times and tried Kobe beef and stuff. However the service here is top notch. I like how they handled everything and the attention to the details. Just the right amount of services that we needed. One thing they should improve is that they should have some sort of special services for people who decided to have their birthday lunch or dinner there. A little bit of surprises for the birthday person will make a huge difference. Trust Me. Overall, this place is on my recommendation list when it comes to Japanese BBQ!

This is probably the best BBQ restaurant in GTA that I’ve been to. The staff are super friendly and attentive. They have provided top-quartile service by introducing the menu, having detailed knowledge about the ingredients and always asking if we needed anything. The food here, omg, is totally another level. I know this sounds like a paid positive review but I love how they organize each small plates and serve with care and love. When I tried the A5 Wagyu, I was almost in heaven, like no joke. The most impressive server was Justin, who is the best at making sure we got what we needed. I would give it a 6/5 if I can. I certainly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for the best-quality food, service that goes above and beyond, and the loving vibe for having meals with your significant others.

Shinta offers all-you-can-eat (AYCE) Japanese-style BBQ, also knows as Yakiniku. What makes them differs from the competition is that Shinta claims to use high quality and premium meat, which is evident in my dining experience. On top of that, they also offer an al a carte menu which features top quality meat such as Japanese A5 Wagyu, US and Australian Wagyu at an additional supplement to the base pricing. Overall, we had a great time and there are good selections of options to choose ranging from various beef cut, pork, poultry, seafood, veggies, and side dishes. The meat was nicely cut and portion, which cooked well on the charcoal grill. The marbling of the meat is well balanced making it juicy and sweet in every bite. One small criticism is the service, as it was difficult for us to get the attention for our server to order more food. It was also felt rushed throughout the dining experience. In some instances our order got mixed up with another table leaving us with food that we didn’t order or getting less than what we ordered. On a positive side, the order come out really fast after it was placed.

Went on a Thursday evening, jammed packed! Great environment, good seating and very good service. You can pick from 3 tiers of all you can eat and as we went seafood and vegetarian, we took the basic option. We were thoroughly pleased with not only the quantity but also the quality of the food. The salmon and Takoyaki were definitely the highlights of our evening. Would definitely come again, keep it up!

Good Japanese AYCE joint in the heart of North York. Service is friendly (especially Justin our waiter), efficient, and simple. If I had a suggestion it would be a "call" button so that tables could more easily order extra food like in traditional Japanese restaurants. Food was pretty good, our group had the black menu which was, for the most part, quite delicious. Some orders are hit-or-miss and I would personally recommend the beef and pork. Chicken is a little bit more difficult to cook over the grill without overcooking the inside. Overall, it's a good upscale AYCE buffet that does exactly as advertised; a meat extravaganza with great service and lots of food.

Very delicious selection of meats! Chicken is jucy as well. Loved the cheese corn and potato. One small note is that we got our last call about 40 minutes before we are supposed to leave (2 hour mark) we found that a little rushed but otherwise all good.

High quality bbq. Our server Justin was incredible! He was quick to figure out what we would like and was prompt to get the orders in for us so we can keep enjoying our delicious food without having to wait in between orders. #impressive

The selection of wagyu was delicious. Melts in your mouth. The lamb, scallops, and foie gras was tasty too. Our server, Sabrina, was excellent. She checked up on our table throughout our time and was really friendly and personable!

AYCE grill experience with a decent variety of cuts and meats. 2 hour seating limit, and they have last call to order about 1.5 hours in. The grill sizes are small, and they only allow 1 grill for up to 5 people, which can be very difficult. The staff are friendly and attentive. However, pay attention to what you ordered as they sometimes forget some items.

Great food and amazing service! The meat quality was finally consistent this time, and it was efficiently served from the moment we ordered. From our overall dining experience, the service was outstanding to me, our server Sabrina was very attentive, and pleasant to interact with. Only thing is that it was really busy when we came, so will consider coming back before or after the peak next time.

So I went with my friend to celebrate her success with landing a job, woo! We ended up going around 6PM ish and there was no line. We didn't have any RSVPs (2 people). It was a treat to try out the gold AYCE at Shinta BBQ. The only thing I wish they had was more visuals of what to expect when looking at the extended lists of meat cuts. That made it a little difficult to pick unless you really know what you want. It can be a little off-putting with a time limit. However, with every offering, there was a brief description of what meat was being placed on the table. All the meals were very fresh and well-presented. Some other discrepancies would be that, pricing isn't updated online compared to in person (so bare in mind, you may end up paying more than you had anticipated) - management should probably update this to not confuse/mislead their customers. Service was great, everyone was very attentive and there was never a stop with that. Another thing would be that if there is a order delay, it should be followed up on. My friend ordered something only for it to come really late and upon changing it, it still wasn't canceled completely. Some tips to others, if you plan to come in a group, either come before evening time hits or get a RSVP. It gets busy pretty quickly towards the evening. I would say my recommendation is to stick with the base price menu unless you want to splurge a little, then go for the silver menu. It's not much different. The options for the base menu (I believe it's Black Angus) is still just as good.

Took the 150$/person menu in order to taste the best wagyu cuts that the restaurant can offer. Most of the cuts are very thinly sliced, other cuts are served in cubes, but it was still mostly all very tender and just enough fattiness. There were a couple of cuts that were on the chewy side, but it was unclear whether those were wagyu or not. Overall the experience was good, the service was good and the food was very enjoyable. The only downside was that when the meat was served, the waiters/waitress presented each cut to us, however their accent was too heavy for us to understand the name. Fortunately, I took a photo of the platter so we were able to show them the picture of the cuts we wanted to reorder. However, we didn't have a clear idea which was wagyu beef.

One of the worst BBQ restaurants ever that I've been in. First, we were told that we should wait for other parts of our group to let us sit at our table that we reserved a week ago and we waited for 15 min, after that they told us we only had 2 hours to eat and sit. On the one hand, the staff and waitress were super rude, and on the other hand, We paid a high price for low-value food and service and they rushed us to eat and leave in two hours. There were four of us there, and we could not even chat a little bit for fun, we went to another restaurant to have our dessert and chat, cause we'd been so uncomfortable. In addition, when we wanted to order more, we called our waitress, and she saw us but by intention, she decided to check on us 40 min later than we were leaving at that moment. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone because, first the food is awful and second all the staff and even the manager of the restaurant were super rude. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 I also added the portion of the food, you can see how tiny they were for charging a lot.

Went there for my birthday and it was simply delicious. All you can eat... Amazing Wagyu platters, jumbo shrimp, lamb and a lot more.. A bit pricey but you are getting excellent quality .. All you can eat for for 2 hours.. The servers were excellent and very attentive. They do not take reservation for 2 on Saturday.. Be aware... I would definitely recommend this if you want to experience all diffrent cuts of Wagyu.

Love the high quality meat at this restaurant. The largest selection of wagyu beef and it’s all you can eat. Very fresh and clean. Service is friendly too. Very good deal for the price. I recommend the silver menu as you can get a good selection of variety of food. For special Occasions the gold menu is a luxury choice.

When I went we chose the silver menu. Service was extremely good at first, bringing out food much faster than you could finish it and multiple servers stopped by to see if we needed anything more. The service slowed down as the meal went on, but I felt that was fine as we were all pretty full in the first hour alone. The food was very good. For me it was my first time trying Wagyu and it was definitely a good experience. Even after spending about $200 for the two of us, it definitely felt like a great deal and one that I will be repeating in the future.

The food here is always amazing but this time the experience was even better thanks to Ivy. She was an amazing server who was extremely attentive and was always ready to take our order and make sure our grill was clean. She also went above and beyond helping us celebrate our birthday by singing a song and helping us serve the cake. I haven't had such a wonderful restaurant experience in a long time. Thank you again Ivy !

The best Japanese bbq that I've been to so far. We went with the silver tier and the quality of the meats was amazing. It was hard to tell which meats we were getting served and the servers would speak too low most of the time. If the menu had pictures of the meats it would be easier to know which ones we liked so we could reorder. A major inconvenience for travelers is the cash/Canadian debit only. They should have a credit card option even if it means charging a few percent more to make it possible.

Really enjoyed my first visit here, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. There were 4 of us and we tried pretty much everything & can't day I disliked any of the meat, seafood or vegetables. Decent beer selection as well. They add a 12% tip automatically, but this is actually preferable to me than having to choose the % when a server is looking over. All in all a great visit, will definitely recommend

Love this place! My first time here and I’m impressed by everything. Firstly, the food is to die-for, we had the silver menu and ordered everything - it was worth the price! Second, the service was incredible, including our waiter, Ann. She was so incredibly timely and extremely attentive to our needs. As well, the place was busy so better to reserve! Def coming here again.

The environment is pretty good, and it's evident that they're striving to maintain the highest level of cleanliness possible for a barbecue joint. The staff is quite nice too; they speak Cantonese, English, and Mandarin. Sometimes the staff can be so busy that they forget what you've ordered.I wouldn't recommend the most expensive menu, as ordering à la carte offers better value. The beef is really fat, unless you're a big guy otherwise it might be too much.

This all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue place offers good quality meats. We tried all the beef options and particularly enjoyed the short rib and marble meat. Although they initially forgot some items, they promptly took our additional order. To wrap up the meal, I highly recommend trying their ice cream :)

So, we are from Montreal, and we came on the day there was the ice storm, it was packed! Shinta restaurant staffs were super nice, and fast Very important to reserve in advance. Or it’s first come basis if you are just 2. It took us 1:45h to finish everything we order, orders got in super fast! Cooking was easy too. Food is super good! Had multiple plats of wagyu cut from the chef. It was a good experience overall! High recommended.

Overall great experience from food to service. We made a reservation for 3 at 6:30 on a Friday with no issues. Our server was very nice and gave great recommendations based on us choosing the silver Wagyu menu. The food was excellent and the highest quality I've had at an All You Can Eat Japanese BBQ restaurant so far. The chef's cut was especially chef's kiss. Unfortunately they did not have soft serve so I'll have to be back to try it!

Visited Friday for the first time for a girls dinner! Our Server was Ann & she was absolutely amazing & sweet. Her service was great even to the gentlemen delivering the orders. Manners & positive greets makes a difference with how much one is spending. Food was DEVINE & DELICIOUS! Wonderful experience looking forward to a next visit!

Great experience and food. Staff very attentive compared to other ayce type places. Ventilation also great in comparison and you don't walk out smelling too much like bbq. Only thing was spacing given the current wave. They had space to put in between tables/people in my opinion. Otherwise goal is to come back and try the more premium menus in the future.

Dinner at Shinta Empress Walk North York is fun and delicious. The ayce bbq resto has beef, pork, seafood to choose from and the meat is slice thin to perfection for proper marinating and bbq'ing. Had the kalbi short rib, toro beef, miso toro beef, Berkshire pork, lemongrass pork, marinated lamb, garlic oil shrimp, Italian style shrimp, clams in sake and assorted vegetables. The self cook bbq, food and service are of excellent quality. Came here a third time, ordered the Gold Wagyu AYCE, had the gold plate. It had Australian top m9 sirloin, m9 striploin, m9 toro beef, m9 ribeye, select rare cuts, chef select wagyu cuts, rack of lamb, scallop, jumbo shrimp, fois gras, squid, clams in sake, vegetables, salad, miso soup & rice. Absolutely decadent and delicious.
