Polished building with an excellent, almost upscale looking makeshift washroom. Security and Covid procedures were good and well-managed. Theatre is a little small and acoustics could be better.

I think the closest thing to magic is to watch an orchestra director doing their jobs. A person with what seems to be a wand conjuring music out of amazing people playing their instruments is something I find magical πŸ’«. And what a place to watch all of this happen than the MAC. The acoustic, intimacy and visibility of this venue is perfect. Occasion: different kind of plan with friend or couple

Excellent attention to detail and a wonderful clean facility. If you are organizing a concert on a large scale this is definitely a place I would recommend. Amazing lighting and sound equipment, excellent backstage facilities, helpful staff etc.

This is the best theater in Toronto, the acoustics are impeccable, no dead zones and is full and sufficient. The sound system ruins the overall sound as there was some distortion and needs some work. Every seat has a great view. I only wish the theatre was twice its size.

I went to see an orchestral concert last saturday night. The venue was clean , modern and well maintained. The staff were accommodating and helpful to other guests. The prices of their drinks were reasonable. The microphone was initially malfunctioned but was replaced by a new one. The sound was astounding, you can really feel the intensity of the instruments vibrating through your soul. The pianist was awe inspiring, I myself played piano when I was young. She played it flawlessly. The conductor did a great job guiding them. He talks about the story behind each masterpiece and the said composer. Overall it was a great experience, the place is so intimate, would definitely be coming back.

Attended a recital here recently. Theatre is in a great location close to transit, paid parking lots and a number of restaurants for pre/post show eats. The venue itself has multiple theatres. The show we watched was in the Lyric Theatre. It was quaint with spacious and comfortable seats with a great view from all angles. The concession stand was well stocked with the usual theatre treats with alcoholic and non alcoholic drink options.

This is a top-tier performing arts venue in the region. Location is perfect out of Downtown. Acoustics are amazing along with the staff and the over priced food/drinks. We enjoyed listening to the Mandolin Magic presented by the TSO. A great venue for the event,

This theater is actually quite nice. It's really cool how the walls on every side are light panels that interact with the show as the performance goes on.

Let me tell you about the Meridian Arts Centreβ€”it's seriously fancy! The building itself is absolutely gorgeous, and it's huge, like, massive! I've been lucky enough to go there twice, and both times the performances I saw were mind-blowingly magnificent. It's just so cool to see them supporting local talents and also bringing in acts from all around the world. Now, let's talk about the theatres. They are seriously spacious and totally magnificent. When you step inside, you're immediately hit with this awesome vibe of grandeur and elegance. The seats are super comfy, and the acoustics are spot on, so you can really get lost in the magic happening on stage. It's like a whole other world in there, where all the incredible talents come alive. Honestly, the Meridian Arts Centre is a real gem for anyone who loves the arts. It's a place where you can escape and be blown away by amazing performances. The people running the show really know how to pick the best acts that leave you in awe every single time. Whether it's local talent or international stars, they've got it all covered. So, if you're up for an unforgettable experience, make sure to check out the Meridian Arts Centreβ€”you won't be disappointed!

Very convenient place to arrive (nearby parking $6/day flat Sat-Sun), promising to watch shows and easy to pick up kids from a show.

Great theatre... Easy to access. Steps from the subway station, but "all gender washrooms" are annoying!

I attended a concert performed here. The interior was very bright, modern and clean. The staff quickly scanned ticket confirmation and explained seat locations well. They were very friendly. There is a small cafe bar inside. The performance hall was also good. I also want to see other performances here. It wasn't crowded because it was a road behind North York.

Leaving a review both as a concert goer and a musician who has performed here. As a concert goer, the George Weston Recital Hall has comfortable seats and good acoustics, even at the very back of the hall. I like to sit in the balcony so I can see the whole orchestra. As a musician/performer, the rehearsal space is large and roomy, and the stage is beautiful and well lit. There's lots of Green P parking available nearby. The ushers are very nice.

Loved it! This is a beautiful music hall. I went to see the Dream House quartet and I was absolutely floored. Not only by their performance but the acoustics of the venue I was in. It complemented the sound of live instruments so well and definitely created an atmosphere for a show ill never forget. After my first time the other day, I'm very stoked to continue seeing shows here for years to come. Thank you Meridian Arts Centre!

This was amazing venue, clean, pleasant staff and it seemed like there was not a bad seat in the house. There is lots of city parking close by. However there is a generous amount of construction going on that made entering the building a little difficult, get there early to find your way in if you have never been :)

One of the nicest venues in Toronto. Sight lines are excellent, searing is comfortable, and the sound is true. Easily accessed by transit and ample, reasonable parking that is very accessible. There is always a good variety of performances to select as well.

Most of the staff was horrible and rude. There were only like 2 that were nice. They interrupted rehearsals without warning. They wouldn't let parents backstage to help their daughters carry their big luggage. Would not recommend using this theater for any event. They were rude to our director and treated her like an idiot. The space is gorgeous, but not worth it for the service

The Meridian Arts Centre is indeed beautiful - I attended the Muslim international Film Festival. The film I attended was great but the organization wasn’t as great. The venue is great and so clean.

Very beautiful auditorium.. Looks really modern, very nice, clean and maintained really really well. In and out from the street and parking is really quick too. Great place for a decent sized event.. can easily accommodate approx 150-200 people.

Excellent show, great view from my spot up front, but the seat itself was absolutely atrocious. This presentation I went to was in the smaller, studio theatre of the Meridian Arts Centre, so I wasn't expecting the best, but it was shockingly bad. Any little bit of movement from people sitting in my row caused my chair to shake violently, as if a subway train was passing beneath my feet. It gets a 3 out of 5 on the comfort scale (my aching sciatica!), but knocked down to a 2 for the ramshackle experience. Would be 1 but this venue has much better seating in its other theatres so I can't knock them too much.

I attended a dance recital by a private dance school a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't have had a better time if I had gone to the top notch theatre in downtown Toronto. It is a lovely intimate space with two levels. For intermission there is a bar serving coffee, tea, wine beer and chips. It's not much but you also don't have a lot of time. If your performance gives a15 minute intermission, don't bother. No sooner did I get my tea and the bell started ringing to go in, without food or drink. I think I can add, there was not enough staff to handle the crowd. I'm guessing the whole theatre holds 500 people. Parking is a 1/2 block away. Enjoy a lovely evening there.

Today, the experience is negated by the unavailability of washrooms! Serios lineups. The temporary washrooms were removed before the permanent ones were completed. Very unfortunate to say the least.

Went there for a kids play and loved the space as well as the staff. It's small enough, so you feel close together but spacious enough to circulate well. Convenient location and parking beside the building as well as on the street behind.

Nice facility ,was there for a dance competition. Not really suited for a dance competition as no real change room space for the hundreds of dancers attending so we're changing in common areas with makeshift curtains/towels strung between poles. Stage area itself was nice and viewing was good from all seats.

A well done Centre for the performing Arts in what used to be North York. Though relatively new, the theatre does have some elements which are Art Deco inspired. I visited this centre for a graduation and my only main concern was a female usher who kept scolding me (& others around me) for touching the railing along the balcony. Ha ha .. at one point I snapped back "news flash; this is why railings are installed here!"

Saw the TYWO here. Amazing acoustics and great views from every seat. Lovely concert hall. Easy underground parking too.

I think the TCA is beautiful. It's home of Orchestra Toronto, where they play in the George Weston Hall five times a year. The acoustics are fantastic and the seats are comfortable. It's also extremely conveniently located. It's not downtown, so traffic isn't crazy, and there's easily accessible (and reasonably priced) Green P and underground parking right across the street. It's also only steps from the North York Centre subway station. There are numerous restaurants all around, so grabbing a meal before or after a show is very easy.

Really like this theatre, attended a show in the George Weston Recital Hall. Nice to have a venue outside of the downtown core, very accessible to TTC, lots of parking close by (at night after 6pm only $6), a great variety of restaurants within a 5 min walk. Adequate staff to direct crowds and scan tickets, alcohol served but I didn’t have anything so not sure about wait times, service, prices. One negative is that there are multiple spaces in this venue and no real direction on where to go except β€œup the stairs” so went up but then waiting outside closed doors with several other people until realizing it was 7:55 for 8pm show start so had to go looking for our entrance. No chimes or announcement that show was to start shortly and subsequently started late. Also ushers directing people to seats didn’t appear to fully know the venue seating chart or have it readily accessible to them either with a paper copy or iPad as I’ve seen at other venues, not an issue with seating my party but a group of 5 came in after us and took some sorting out to realize that even though they were 5 seats in a row they were in different sections they required 2 different entrances due to a bar in the middle that couldn’t be crossed. The upper side balcony was great as individual detached seats. We were A 202/203.
