The price of the gym is fair, nice to have tanning included with the black card membership. Downside, the black card room is really small at this location and it would be nice if there were more perks than just having dumbbells 1x 10lbs heavier than the normal room. I’m happy for the price and to keep coming here, especially since I train early AM (6-7:45am) when it’s not busy and I can train without waiting for equipment. If your someone who trains at peak times after work, expect a large crowd. Few things about the gym that I don’t like and could be improved by management: -Bathrooms are disgusting. I see the workers cleaning up at 7am on weekdays but that’s not enough. The floor in the single washroom needs to be mopped (smells like pee) and the edges of the toilet is all dusty and dirty. I have never seen the bathrooms cleaned on the weekend when the workers start at 11am. I have also had to request that soap be filled in the women’s washroom - No sanitizer available on the floor and the front entrance one has been empty for weeks. I keep one in my bag. - Many sanitizer spray bottles are empty. Maybe they need to be filled more frequently than they are -Dust all over the gym. Under dumbbells, on and under machines. Pretty disgusting. Everything feels sticky. Most gyms have a worker walking around 1x a day cleaning the machines with a cloth and cleaner. During Covid times, I feel having a gym this dirty is unsanitary. -No shower. Plan ahead to go back home if you train before work. -No water fountain. Basic necessity?? $3.25 for a water bottle in the vending machine is absurd. When dollarama in the mall is open across from the gym, you can get 1.5L for $1. I bring a 4L to the gym. -No wifi available. In this day and age, you’d think that’s pretty much standard everywhere. -I have been coming here for 3 weeks now and the same cardio machines have been broken the entire time. When will they get fixed? There’s a wide range of people that come here. I find some guys being creepy and staring at girls. It could make some females uncomfortable. In general though, the crowd seems respectful otherwise (the early crowd, I’m not sure about evenings). I have previously paid for expensive gyms and of course you get what you pay for. If there was a bigger and better gym closer to me, I wouldn’t come here. But keeping a gym clean and sanitary I think is standard…

I've worked out in different gyms from Barrie to Toronto. I would simply say, this location is really good. The staff are friendly and ensure the gym stays hygienic throughout its operating hours. It does get crowded during peak hours (like any popular gym would) - so choose a time off peak and you should have a lot of equipment available. I have to say, even during peak time, you can find alternative machines for your workouts. Highly recommend!

I like the concept, and this place is very convenient to use however the quality could be at a bit higher level. Gym is generally clean but a bit crowded. Main issue I have is that rowing machine doesn’t work, display is broken and it feels like resistance part is not working at all.

2 years ago I signed a minor plan with Fit4less for one year. They have been charging me that whole year, despite the coronavirus situation, but I don't have a problem with that, contract is a contract. After it's expired I stopped attending the gym and they stopped charging me, untill a week ago. One year after it's expired, suddenly I noticed I got charged again one week ago. Why? How can I stop getting charged for no reason and get my money back?

I just joined to add some variety on top of my home gym workouts. I was looking for something inexpensive and convenient with all of the weight training equipment I would look for in a gym. Overall, Fit4Less and this location met my requirements. Below are the pros and cons. Pros: - Open 24/7! If Google says otherwise, it’s referring to staffed hours rather than open hours - Convenient: Near subway and major roads - Free parking in large mall parking lot - Safe: In brightly lit mall with security, and outside of mall hours you enter through the entrance where the security and information desk sits, and it’s staffed as early as 6 AM (likely 24 hours, but I don’t know for sure); also, the entrance to the club is gated and you can’t get past the gate without a membership card - Staff were friendly and helpful the one time I interacted with them - Has all the equipment most people would want - Has lockers to store stuff while you’re working out - Unpretentious: All kinds of people with all kinds of fitness experience and goals work out here - There’s a Tim Hortons on the ground floor that opens at 6 AM, if you like a coffee fix before or while you’re working out (I do) Cons: - Gets busy: I go early, around 6 AM, usually on weekends, and by 7 AM there are already 20-30 people there, I’d guess; I’ve been at 11 AM on a Saturday and it’s packed, to the point where you’d likely have to wait to use certain equipment, and I didn’t feel like working out there then - Needs maintenance: Some lockers are broken, the paint is chipped and marked on the walls, at least one piece of equipment (cable machine) was broken, the pads on several machines are torn, and some of the cable machine attachments are worn out; it gives the place an appearance of being low quality and rundown - Gets messy: At 6 AM, there are paper towels on the floor, as well as water bottles; this contributes to the appearance of being rundown and not taken care of, though it’s probably not as bad during hours when it’s staffed - No outdoor-facing windows: The front faces an atrium, which is bright, but there are no windows with direct sunlight so it’s a bit dark inside Overall, I think it’s well worth the money if you’re just looking to do your workout and get on with your day. Management can improve things by: - Fixing maintenance issues - Doing a better job of cleaning up mess

I had a very bad experience at this gym. First, there’s no Wifi (I’ve never been to a gym without free wifi) especially as a black card member. Management given the amount we pay, there should be free wifi or at least state that on the website. Second, the number of people is outrageous, there’s no limit. It’s my first time at this gym and I couldn’t stay because I felt really unhappy.

As a gym member, I appreciate the 24/7 access, good lighting, and friendly staff. However, the consistent issue of broken equipment, taking months to repair, suggests potential management problems, leading to my 3-star rating.

Solid gym, budget friendly. Convenient. Of course with the price you forgo many of the frills of larger gyms. The only real complaint is how busy it is all the time. Need to open a second location nearby.

Overall, it's a best friendly franchise in Toronto area. Best service & a hard working staff (especially, Azaria & Jake & Trinity & Kimora & Gabriel) makes you feel like a fun gym to workout. God bless 👍🙌

I highly recommend the gym to install a water filter. It would greatly enhance the overall experience for members, ensuring access to clean and refreshing water. It's a small investment that would make a big difference and demonstrate their dedication to member satisfaction and wellness.

There are no showers, what kind of gym has no showers? It should be mentioned on the website. They make their website look good but no showers here! The ones that do have showers are only available during staffed hours and are never cleaned! There is also no water fountain or WiFi. You get for what you pay for. Worst Gym ever in my life!

I’ve been with Fit4Less off and on for years, and recently going back I’ve noticed there’s way more people using the gym, so it’s always packed. 3 years ago I would always go after 11pm and there would be maybe 20 people, and now there’s a little over 50 towards 1am. If you want to be able to use the machine, get your workout in and leave, I recommend coming early morning, before 6am. The staff do try their best to keep the place clean and put back weights, but I think that should be up for the users to put back their weight. I recommend bringing your own towel because there’s usually 2-3 paper towel stations that are empty.

Total waste of money. Especially if you come in evenings. Too crowded and you'll have to stand in queue for every machine, bench, dumbbell you wanna use. Even black card is total waste. People are even worst they'll keep things as it is after use and keep 2-3 pair of dumbbells with them as if they'll use every dumbbell all together and no one is there to tell them anything. Edit: Forgot t mention that machines are mostly in maintenance and 1/4th treadmills are broken.

It was ok equipment but very restricted for legs. and was limited for weight. And didnt have a changeroom and no classes. And reeks with body oder. Sweaty and squished environment. If on a budget this is an okay option. But Goodlife fitness is better. Overall a 2.5/10.

Terrible experience today. We were just visiting to get details on the pricing for the facility and after like 10minutes of trying to enter by waving down the older gentleman, we still weren't able to enter as he was pretending to ignore us because he looked right at us briefly. When we finally enter by asking a member if he can use his badge to let us in we approached the front desk and waited for an additional 10 minutes until we saw someone enter the staff changeroom at 11am and had asked him if he could just quickly show us a pamphlet of the prices to which he rudely said, "I don't start my shift until 11am." We waited patiently as he was taking his sweet time to get set up and buzzed someone into the tanning room when he finally just opened the top drawer and handed us the pamphlet. This could have been done in seconds a longggg time ago. You have extremely rude staff.

Ample parking since it’s in a plaza/ mall. Reasonable amount of equipment but missing quite a bit of matching dumbbells. Every time I’ve been different machines have always been down for maintenance and overall the dirt and mess in the washroom/ gym floor is piled up. In a pinch it’s a good spot to go to but be aware it’s usually quite busy

Plenty equipments with clocks on the walls to enable you time you workout and rest at a glance. Toilets can do with upgrade, and a water fountain would help hydration. Convenient mall free parking, bus and trains are close to the Allen and Lawrence.

Machines are broken most of the time. You have to look for Spray all over the place to be able to clean the machine. Manager has zero customer oriented skills. I was there for 8 months and prefered to lose money rather than keep trying at that location.

Not the best fit4less location, but not the worst either. I am new to Toronto and was surprised and disappointed that the staff do not even acknowledge you or say hello. I also find it very strange that this gym does not have a water fountain.. when I asked a staff member why that is, she had no idea. The closest location to me had terrible customer service, so this was the second closest to me, which is 17 mins.

Lawrence west mall location is really good value for money open 24hrs 7 days a week. Good combo of machine & free weights compared to other budget gym that typically has " either or ". Clean & relatively spacious. Has a neat family and gokd club member section, the hydro massage bed is really cool. Overall no real drawback for what you're paying for

The worst customer service. Whenever you want someone from the staff to talk to, you’ll find no one at all. They just close the staff room door and hide in there. The massage options include normal chairs and the hydro massage. But both of them are for NOBODY because to access them the staff needs to turn them on but there is NOBODY on the counter. It is absolutely empty and the staff is very very irresponsible in this regard. I have tried to call this out earlier but nobody EVER will take any action.. I hope they take care of stuff like this from now on otherwise, the black card just LOOKS black, it is of no use at all.

There isn't a lot of space around the equipment and during busy times can get a but crowded and you may have to wait for machines or equipment. If you can avoid the very periods though, it's quite decent, especially when you factor in the price! I thought that this was a "discount" gym because all the old good life equipment came here to die, but that's not the case at all! The equipment is fairly new and well maintained.

Usually pretty empty after staffed hours and has a lot of machines for beginners. The brand new machines are behind a "premium" membership which is the fault of the company not this location. For a fit4less location it meets expectations.

This gym is so unkept and dirty. It's close to me, but I have to leave and go to the location in Vaughan (gerry Fitzgerald) because of how neat it is. The equipment here in Lawrence Square are old and moat of them broken. Please give this place an upgrade.

Overall disappointed. I was really hoping to change my gym and have heard great things about fit4less but this location was very small and had lots of machines but not the main ones I'd use. Very little squat racks, and the mat areas were tiny. I know I went during the holidays where it was unstaffed however I went to use the washroom and immediately walked out. I wish I could switch but with the base package only allowing me to access this location 100% not worth it!

The staff on the weekdays and weekends have ALL been excellent during this "pandemic" period. They've done a sterling job if keeping the place running smoothly, they're always cordial and a pleasure to deal with. I hope that Fit4Less corporate recognise just how hard they've been working and reward them hugely for their efforts, they very much deserve it and because of them you have my membership for a long time to come.🏋️‍♂️

  • 4/5 Paola M. 2 years ago on Google
The staff are great and they have a good selection of machines. It's price for the membership is very affordable in comparison to other gyms. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it's missing wifi and the bathrooms could be cleaner but other than that it's great.

  • 3/5 Sylvia D. 1 year ago on Google
Is a good gym. For the price is better then expected. But really what makes me very unhappy is that this gym doesn't have a water fountain!!! Like... Any store has a water fountain, any library, any park... But A GYM doesn't have a water fountain is the most absurd thing I've seen.

  • 3/5 Angie N. 2 years ago on Google
Not bad for the price. Went around 7:30PM on a Wednesday, had to wait a few minutes outside for some people to leave. Staff check for proof of vaccination and set a capacity limit but it can still feel crowded and stuffy. Masks are encouraged but not mandatory. Best to go during off-peak hours.
