Went here randomly looking for torched sushi. Staff were friendly and the concept is great. We don't really have any laneway sushi places in Toronto so this was a nice addition! Menu items were quite limited but they do it well. Decently priced for the portions. Most dishes I enjoyed and I would definitely come back.

Food came out fast and they cleared our plates. We went for an early dinner and it was pretty empty. Sushi was fresh but only okay. Some rolls were too saucy. The yam fries were surprisingly good. The dessert was yummy.

Social media keeps displaying this place, so decided to go for dinner. The restaurant gets busy by 5:30 or 6pm. Conveyor belt concept is super cool and all the staffs are super nice. I only wish the quality can be elevated per the price point. Highly recommended the arburi salmon (pepper top is amazing touch), every arburi (torched) shrimp dishes and every scallop dishes. DO NOT order the $19 Michelin collaboration of lobster tempura. The tempura part tasted like re-fry or bad oil. Putting the tempura in olive oil levelled up the look but does not help with the taste. The lobster does not taste like lobster, feel like a waste with such good ingredient. Then they topped with the worst tasting urchins I had in my entire life. I can't tell if it's freshness or quality issue or the tempura dragged down the urchins favor. I would still go back perhaps for a lunch combo and will never order any collaboration dishes.

First time here but came during covid 19 but dine in was allowed. Staff are very friendly and nice. Food cones to your table via conveyer belt. Place is bright and spacious. Food is Japanese. Alcoholic drink menu is severely limited. Overall I had a great time and enjoyed the myself here. Food came hot and was pretty tasty. I will return again if I'm in the area (Yorkdale mall) and craving sushi. I highly recommend checking this place out as it is a nice experience.

Good quality food and a fun experience seeing the conveyor belt system at work! Of course, between the food and the novelty, the price of the food is of course higher. Everything tasted good, and my personal favorite was the ebi fritters. The mochi dessert was just okay though and I wouldn’t order again. Also, the dishes are quite small, tapas style, so I wouldn’t come here too hungry unless you’re willing to spend more to get full. I was very satisfied with the overall experience, and would probably come again on a special occasion, or for someone who would like to see the conveyor system as well for the first time.

Done-in experience with my friends at lunch time. Service is good and delivery is quite innovative with electronic menu system and robotic serving. The food is full of surprises. It is great to try different dishes and share. For some reason shrimp 🍤 was my favorite dish there even though I liked other dishes as well. Try for yourself and I’m confident you will figure out your own favorite choices.

This restaurant was located in Yorkdale mall on the second floor; to get here, they had their own elevator down a small, well designed corridor. This restaurant did not have much contact with the staff since the food was brought to the tables by two conveyor belts. My wife and I have been to a conveyor belt sushi place in Las Vegas (Kura Revolving sushi bar) before where you can get prizes for ordering a certain number of plates, you put the small plates into a hole where it keeps track, and overall much more appealing for larger groups to hang out. The staff was friendly but we were just a bit confused when our food would arrive since the belt was not really separated to tables; you could take other people's orders along the way but the plate would continue moving to the designated table. They had two belts moving your orders so you would put your finished dishes to side of table rather than back on the belt. The restaurant was clean and classy, but I didn't really enjoy my time there (maybe because I was comparing to Kura revolving sushi bar in Las Vegas); the food was alright but nothing special. I would recommend their $5 aburi Cali roll over their Michelin $9 salmon nanban dish. I was disappointed in their soy sauce as well; Kikoman should always be used, their aburi soy sauce was spicy and too salty. Overall, I do not recommend coming here. Nice, clean environment with a(n) (expensive) shopping mall downstairs, but would rather go to a different restaurant with better food and prices. We bought 10 dishes there, totaling over $60 not including tax or tips. Each dish ranges from $5 to $10 or so.

Tora. For all the sushi aficionados, lovers of great quality fish and delightful artistry. Look no further. Tora has done a great job with their aburi(torched) and I do especially enjoy the sauce for their shrimp. The tuna was fatty and buttery with every bite. Only negative, the karaage was minuscule. The small tiny quantity was disappointing especially paying premium prices. Otherwise always a great dine 😀

The fish is fresh but not too many variety. Cool concept but I was expected more since there was always a line up before. Kids will enjoy watching the food come out from the belt. Otherwise, you can get better food for the same price you paid for.

Great sushi location overall. The conveyer belt is a nice touch if you’ve never had your sushi served this way. Food was great and they also have seasonal dishes as well which is awesome. Only reason why they’re missing the last star is because our food came before we got any water, utensils or plates. Outside of that, customer service was good. Would definitely return and recommend!

We sat at one of the tables with a conveyor belt. Sushi was really fresh and tasted great. Cocktails were made really well. Overall a really cool experience. Price was a little higher but still really fair for the quality.

I took the wife here for a date night, it was super busy and we had to wait about an hour for a table. Once we set down the food was incredible absolutely worth the wait. Everything we got was too the highest quality. All the fish were fresh and all the flavors were great. It does get pricy when you choose some of the more premium items. The conveyor belt was so cool to see. I will definitely be coming back.

This spot is obviously unique because it has a sushi conveyor belt that brings exactly what you order to your table. However for the price and the amount of seafood you get on your sushi I don’t think it’s worth it. It’s also not out of this world.

A very interesting experience to eat sushi! The fish was nice and fresh and seasoning on the rice was spot on. I think it was overall better than a lot of other sushi places but a bit overpriced.

Had a great time at Tora. The service was excellent and we were seated at a table. Will definitely give the conveyor belt a try the next time around. The sushi and other dishes were delicious, super fresh and my friends and I loved it!

Unique restaurant (don't know of any other conveyor sushi options in Ontario) with great vegetarian options! The staff were really friendly. Wouldn't recommend for big groups, especially over 6-8 (unless you're okay with splitting up), but was still enjoyable :)

Food quality is great, area is clean and spacious. Kids friendly menu which included udon and veggies sushi. Provide storage area for stroller or waggon. Two adults and two toddlers for $95 plus tips. Wonderful experience, and definitely would return again

Everything tasted amazing, very light and fresh. It is pricey but I do recommend coming here at least once for the food and the sushi conveyor belt experience. If you eat here you will never go back to ayce sushi.

It's inside yorkdale mall, right next to Restoration. They open at 12noon and do not take reservation. Foods are fresh , staffs are friendly. They use conveyor belt to deliver your food. Although they don't cover your dish, but the dish come directly to your table. Price is a bit high but still acceptable.

Mom wanted to eat Japanese food today, so came to Tora, I’ve been here a few times, environment is pleasant, waiters were very friendly, the mini chirashi and uni bowl was extremely small, from the price of the chirashi I knew it would be mini, but when it arrived, we were still a bit surprised as it was was in a tiny bowl with 1 spoonful of rice in it 😂 The uni in the bowl was good, from the looks of it, it looks to be Japanese uni, then we added 2 uni sushi, one from the premium menu Japanese uni ($13) one from a regular menu ($6.50) most likely from BC, it was half the price and more than double in size, but the Japanese uni had better flavour and texture. The scallops we had was very tasty, my mom really liked it, said it had a “sweet” taste to it, so we ordered seconds on that one. Next time if we’re in Yorkdale and feel like Japanese food, will still go back although it is a bit on the pricey side.

I really enjoyed this place! Fish is high quality and based on what is served, the pricing is appropriately priced. Servers were attentive and polite and explained the process of loading the dirty dishes at the end of the table and ordering from the tablet. The tablet is easy to use and has a great system in understanding when your order is coming. Disclaimer: if you're famished, this is probably not the place for you since this is small bites /sushi. So if you want volume, unless you have a stacked wallet, then you may want to take caution as it IS a la carte and the bill adds up quickly. All in all, pleasantly surprised, would def come back

I have been here three times and every time the service and food is excellent! The sushi is always fresh and good quality. The servers are friendly and makes the experience better. For the good quality sushi the prices are reasonable. I always recommend this place if people are looking for a cool dining experience with excellent food.

We visited during lunch time and it a great experience. Note they don’t take reservations so groups of 4+ may have to wait. The menu was vast and we got to try a variety of different types. The service was speedy and the staff were friendly. The conveyer belt was a nice touch that brought your food out very quickly. Although pricier, everything was of a high quality and standard. Some dishes I have never seen but would love to try. I can’t wait to go back and try their dinner menu. Overall it was a very unique sushi experience that everyone should try.

Fun conveyor belt sushi experience. No wait on a Wednesday evening. The sushi was really delicious, especially the Aburi sushi. The pieces had a nice smokey flavour and the fish was all very fresh. A bit pricey compared to other a la carte places, but definitely worth it for the unique experience.

This is a well-established and reputable place for Sushi! The conveyor belt system makes for an interactive and enjoyable meal. They have a few food options for non sushi lovers that are quite sumptuous. Will definitely go back and will definitely recommend.

A fantastic destination for sushi lovers in Toronto, offering a unique conveyor belt experience that adds a fun twist to dining. The quality of sushi is impressive, especially considering the value for the price. Each plate showcases fresh and flavorful ingredients, with a variety that caters to all tastes. The conveyor belt system makes for an interactive and enjoyable meal.

Had a fantastic dinner at TORA with a friend. Tried many new types of sushi I haven't had before. Everything was super fresh, delicious, and arrived fast. Loved the variety of options and how approachable each dish is, because or small number of rolls you get. Our hostess and waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will be back!

i absolutely love coming here for sushi!! the fish is always fresh and tasty!! the food comes out super quick and the taste is consistent. compliments to the kitchen staff for all their hard work! the atmosphere is very bright due to the large windows, and very relaxing. plus the wait staff are kind and the music is always good. prices are just a bit high, but it’s good quality food so it makes sense.

My boyfriend and I tried this place today and we had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious but what elevated the experience was the fact that food came on a conveyor belt. You place an order on the tablet and the food makes a stop at your table. For someone who never liked sushi I think I enjoyed it. The service was good. Nothing exceptional but but bad either which is good. The price is not bad either. It is listed on the tablet and you can see as you order. I think everyone should try it at!
