Recently
I
visited
Harold.
This
was
my
second
time
being
here
and
thought
very
hard
about
the
first
visit
about
a
year
ago.
I
remembered
that
it
wasn't
the
most
pleasant
visit/experience,
however,
I
gave
Harold
the
benefit
of
the
doubt...
maybe
he
was
having
a
bad
day
at
the
time.
As
some
of
you
may
know,
the
price
of
silver
is
fairly
low
right
now.
I
purchase
a
lot
of
silver
ounces
ever
few
months.
So,
I
was
at
a
recent
supplier
(Cache
Metals
located
on
Davenport),
and
they
were
all
out
of
silver
for
a
few
weeks.
I
then
decided
to
pay
my
friend
Harold
a
visit
to
see
if
he
could
help.
Before
I
arrived
at
the
store
in
the
morning,
I
called
Harold
and
asked
him
over
the
phone
if
he
had
any
silver.
He
did
have
some.
But
it
wasn't
the
answer
he
gave
me,
it
was
his
tone
and
how
he
responded.
It
went
something
like
this:
"Who
is
this??
What
do
you
want...??
I
might
have
some...
okay,
I
have
to
go,
customers
are
here..."
After
showing
up
to
the
store,
I
was
let
in
and
waited
my
turn
in
line.
There
were
about
2
people
in
the
store.
Harold
asked
me
what
I
wanted
and
I
told
him
I
had
just
called
him
about
10
minutes
earlier
about
the
silver.
To
make
a
long
story
short,
I
asked
what
the
price
was
per
ounce
of
silver.
He
gave
me
a
different
amount
over
the
phone
and
then
in
the
store
it
was
an
even
higher
price!
He
was
asking
for
$5.00
over
'spot'
(spot
is
the
current
market
rate).
Normally
dealers
charge
up
to
$2.50
per
ounce.
I
asked
him
why
it
was
so
high
and
why
the
price
changed.
He
argued
with
me
a
little
and
was
very
rude
about
the
whole
thing.
After
a
few
minutes
I
told
him
I
was
taking
my
business
elsewhere.
He
was
acting
stubborn
and
was
trying
to
rip
me
off
with
his
'salesmanship'.
Harold,
if
you
are
reading
this,
consider
a
few
things
when
running
a
business:
Be
customer
focused,
smile
(even
if
you
don't
want
to),
put
the
customers
interests
in
front
of
yours
and
don't
try
and
take
as
much
as
you
can
from
the
customer.
If
you
don't
do
this,
you
will
loose
in
business
eventually.
Just
look
at
your
ratings
here
on
Google.
Its
not
just
one
or
two
disgruntled
customers,
it
is
multiple!
If
you
stay
customer
focused
and
put
the
customers
needs
in
front
of
yours,
customers
will
come
back.
And
eventually
price
is
taken
right
off
the
table
for
them.
If
Cache
Metals
upped
their
prices
a
little
tomorrow
(competitively
of
course),
I
would
not
bat
an
eye
lash.
I
know
they
are
there
to
answer
any
questions
or
concerns
I
have.
One
last
thing
Harold,
I
may
not
have
done
a
ton
of
business
with
you,
but
remember
one
thing,
I
talk
to
a
lot
of
people
and
bad
word
of
mouth
travels
father
then
good
word
of
mouth.
Update
2021:
I
still
have
nightmares
of
my
dealing
with
Harold.
