I
don't
recommend
this
practice.
I've
been
there
with
my
daughter
3
times
since
she
was
born.
The
first
time
when
she
was
one
month,
I
was
not
impressed
with
the
clinic.
The
receptionist
made
a
comment
about
how
I
was
holding
my
baby
she
said
while
talking
to
my
daughter"
mom
doesn't
know
how
to
hold
you,
she
doesn't
know
what
she
is
doing,
she
is
learning
".
Yes
I
am
first
time
mom
but
I've
been
a
RN
for
over
15
years
and
started
my
career
in
pediatric,
those
kind
of
comments
are
unprofessional.
On
the
second
visit,
for
her
first
vaccine
shot.
I
called
the
clinic
24
hrs
in
advance
to
confirm
the
appointment:
however,
it
was
cancelled
because
I
didn't
call
48
hrs
in
advance.
On
the
second
visit
when
the
staff
(I
don't
know
if
she
is
a
nurse
since
she
didn't
introduced
herself)
took
the
measurements,
she
did
it
wrong.
my
daughter's
height
was
measured
incorrectly,
so
she
was
way
out
of
her
percentile.
I
know
this
because
the
doctor
confirmed
it.
She
also
wrote
in
the
chart
her
weight
incorrectly.
Dr
Simon
was
concerned
about
my
daughter's
weight
so
she
booked
us
for
a
follow
up
appointment
at
three
months,
it
supposed
to
be
a
weight
check
appointment.
A
few
days
before
the
appointment,
the
clinic
called
cancelling
the
appointment.
I
told
the
receptionist
that
Dr
Simon
was
concerned
about
my
baby's
weight
and
if
it
was
possible
for.me
to
come
and
just
weight
my
baby
to
see
if
she
gained
any
weight.
The
receptionist
said,
"
don't
worry,
that's
ok
mama,.come
back
for
the
4
months
vaccine
".
I'm
pretty
sure
the
receptionist
isn't
a
physician
so
how
did
she
came
to
the
conclusion
my
daughter
was
"ok"
I
don't
know
.
In
regards
to
Dr
Simon's
care;
she
is
a
very
caring
doctor
and
has
good
bed
side
manners;
however,
I
did
not
feel
supported
by
her
during
my
Breastfeeding
journey
which
had
been
extremely
stressful
and
difficult
to
say
the
least.
I
met
her
when
my
baby
was
one
month,
she
had
not
gained
enough
weight
so
Dr
Simon
adviced
me
to
supplement
with
formula
immediately,
I
asked
her
to
send
me
to
a
lactation
consultant
since
breastfeeding
exclusively
was
very
important
to
me.
Dr
Simon
shared
her
thoughts
about
LCs
in
general,
she
says
and
I
quote
"
they
take
your
money
and
you
will
receive
confusing
information,
at
this
time
it's
better
to
give
her
a
bottle
".
I'm
pretty
sure
there
are
some
sketchy
LCs
out
there
but
to
generalize
like
that
and
refusing
to
give
me
a
referral,
to
me
that
was
wrong.
As
a
result,
my
daughter
developed
nipple
confusion,.I
almost
lost
my
milk
supply
because
she
refused
my
breast
and
preferred
suplement.
I
felt
absolutely
devastated,
as
a
single
mom,
as
a
nurse
and
as
a
patient
I
felt
that
the
system
failed
me,
a
system
I
have
dedicated
several
years
of
my
working
life.
I
should
mentioned
that
I
asked
for
a
referral
to
a
lactation
consultant
twice,
and
it
was
refused
.
I
also
asked
for
help
to
increase
my
milk
supply
such
us
domperidone,
it
was
also
declined.
Now
my
daughter
is
5
months
and
I'm
formula
feeding.
I
have
found
another
pediatrician
and
although
there's
not
nothing
I
can
do
about
breastfeeding
I
feel
more
confident
with
the
care.
