We had to pull our son from this school due to an abusive instructor, Peter, who screams at children. One time I heard a "SHUT UP" coming so loudly from the floor that parents jumped. I later learned it was directed at my 8-year-old. People with no patience should not be teaching children. Don't send your child here.

Our child attended here for 2 years and I want to validate what another reviewer posted about the Coach Peter. My child only ever had this coach as a substitute. However, he is definitely a yeller and is very condescending to the students. If you look him up on social media you will see why he is uninterested in actually coaching.

The owners of this club, Olga and Svetlana are so rude. They do not express any concern in my questions or problems. I watched a lady get yelled at by a tall man and no one did anything. The owners just stared and same with the lady in the office. My child has also come home crying after gymnastics so many times because her coach insults her and makes her want to leave the gym. We have left now and I hope people realize how bad of a facility this is. They also say that the place is fully air conditioned, but when my child goes in the summer there is no air conditioning. It is very hot and the place does not seem Covid safe. The coaches don't wear masks while spotting and they come so close to the kids. The kids aren't even told to social distance! I have come forward about this problem and was just told to leave. The owners are so rude. Do not come here. If i could give negative ratings i would.

We had the same experience where our 5year old daughter was taking a class and she wandered outside into the parent's lounge. The instructor didn't even notice. This company needs to be inspected by the Better Business Bureau for it's safety procedures. They are responsible for children after all! We raised our concern to the owner and they acted like it was no big deal! Clearly they do not understand the importance of children safety! If there were negative stars, we would give it! These owners have too much business and don't know a single thing about customer service and child safety.. they just get your money and do not know anything about running a proper business!

Today January 10, 2020 my 4 year old daughter Chelsea attended her very first class, I noticed she came out to parent's lounge to see me twice..once for 5 minutes and second time for 10, so I called the office to complain about her instructor who practically never noticed my daughter was missing from her class TWICE. Which in any parent's book its a major safety concern I mean what IF had decided to step out or go run an errand in the meantime she would have left this place unnoticed. And the very rude grumpy mature lady in the office replied that I was the only person complaining and that i had the very best instructor EVER and If I was not happy then there was absolutely nothing she could do for me and essentially completely unacknowlegding that her instructor was totally imcompetent and overloaded with oversized classes. The grumpy lady also reinterated over the phone that their class ratio was 1 to 4 kids but in fact my daughter's instructor had over 8 kids with a 10 year old as helper WOW!!!! This place and their employees are not only rude but also imcompetent and the owner does not really care about listeneing to constructive criticism in any way shape or form. Therefore I walked in there and told them my peace and they accused me of making a show and I was told by owner that she did not have to entertain what I had to say and I immediately asked for a full refund which I GOT!!! BOTH THE OWNER AND THE GRUMPY MATURE LADY IN THE OFFICE HAD A SMURK IN THEIR FACES ALMOST LAUGHING ABOUT MY NIGHTMARE AS I WAITING FOR MY REFUND!! GREAT JOB DISCOVERY AND I SECOND ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THEIR INSTRUCTOR "PETER"...SHOUTING AND YELLING AS I HAD ALSO OBSERVED HIM IN THE PAST WHEN MY 10 YEAR DAUGHTER USED TO ATTEND THANK GOD HE WAS NEVER HER INSTRUCTOR. THAT GUY IS AN IDIOT AND WALKS AROUND AS IF HE OWN THE WORST GYMNASTICS PLACE I COULD HAVE EVER STEPPED FOOT IN. SHAME ON DISCOVERY GYMNASTICS EVERYONE SHOULD REPORT THIS CREEPS TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.......................... MY WIFE AND I FOUND AN EXCELLENT PLACE ALSO IN NORTH YORK CALLED "GYRO GYMNASTICS" ACROSS FROM YORKDALE INSTEAD, OUR DAUGHTER LOVESSSSSSSSSSSS IT...........

Horrible!!!! I registered my 2 sons (one for the dropoff and the other for the caregiver program). For the "dropoff" program, they asked me to bring my husband because the 1 teacher couldn't manage the whole group on her own. Completely unorganized; kids do the same circuits over and over; the teachers are inexperienced and unengaged; the owner is rude and abrasive. The owner told my husband and son to leave (which she later denied). Pulled both of my kids from the programs after the owner had it out with my husband. They refuse to give me my money back and have stopped responding to my emails.

I have to say, I watched the gym grow and change, coaches came and went, and so far its been getting better with every year. I see many of you writing here about Peter, well he is no longer at the gym and frankly the management has cleaned up well and they have a good solid coaching staff. I see that some say that they are "old school" and many not appear as friendly, well I am sorry but this applies to all of us! For some it works, for others it may not and that's very normal. have a teenager now and I am happy that she went through different coaches and stages, she was taught how to learn and face fears, how to set and achieve goals, and how to stand up for her self amongst peers. On top of it, she learned gymnastics in a safe and well structured way, she wasn't pushed if she was not ready but definitely coaches tried from different angles. If you disagree with the coaching style, well perhaps you are trying to find the "perfect gym" where all coaches meet every single one of your demands. This is a realistic place, where you bring your child in full trust of the coaching staff and you let them take control and let your child exersise their freedom without our "parents" interference. I see a lot of haters here in the reviews and this is unfortunate, and this is what made me write this. Majority of the people don't say their gratitude and thank you, but when something negative hits them, well they will write all about it and everywhere. So lets take time to really think what you are trying to achieve here, instead of complaining, think first, are you really complaining about people or you just set a sky high expectations that are unachievable? Instead of demanding, ask politely, and see if you can be of help in a situation? Hostility is never a friend! With the right attitude and mind change, you will see that even the most "stubborn" owner will be nice and thoughtful and carrying. If you are coming with demands and blames, well it will come right back to you! Long story short - love this gym and my daughter does too!!!

Facilities are very nice, however the coach my daughter had seemed uninterested in coaching. I believe he's the son of the owner or somehow related. He was coaching the kindergym class and quite often he'd be looking at the clock or elsewhere. Rarely smiled at the children and didn't seem very encouraging. The head supervisor was also very rude. I stuck it through one session and decided to go to another gym, even though it is much further away.

What a great place for recreational and professional gymnastics! The coaches are very knowledgeable and kind hearted. They keep the class fun and engaged especially for kids.The staff is friendly and most importantly they make sure that they keep the gym very clean. They come highly recommend!

My oldest son has been enrolled at Discovery Gymnastic since he was 4-year-old and his brother 1.5 year old. Two years later, their sister joined Discovery at 18 months of age. Now, they are all grown (10-7-4). The fact that all my three kids, at different ages, still LOVE going to Discovery Gymnastic is a big factor for not only the knowledge and kindness of the staff, but also for the clean and well-equipped facility and professionalism. I highly recommend Discovery Gymnastics.

People dont realize, their job has them interacting with kids.. if you dont smile, arent pleasant and are rude, you have no place working in a childrens atmosphere.. do not bring your kids here.. not deserving of your money. Treat people better

Our 4 year old has been going to Discovery for over a year and we are very happy and impressed with his progress. The facility is great with a large variety of equipment, the administration is very accommodating with scheduling requests, and our instructor is top-notch professional and definitely knows how to work with little kids. Our kid loves the classes and is always looking forward to them.

My 2.5 year old and 4 year old have been enrolled at Discovery Gymnastic for 2 seasons now. When my eldest started kindergym she was very hesitant and crying about me having to leave. But Olga was very caring in taking her and getting her comfortable with the class. She absolutely loves it now. My youngest is in parents and tots and coach Lola is the absolute best with the little kids. They also have a little play room which is great and very clean facility!
