Great library for children but pretty dreadful for anyone else trying to get any work done since there’s a bunch of children screaming the whole time. The library itself is brand new and is better than the Bayview library that it’s replacing. There are more computers and there’s study rooms. But genuinely don’t recommend going here if you’re looking for a silent place because even with noise cancelling headphones, you’re not gonna get any silence.

If it was other library in this surrounding, I would definitely go there 🥉So busy and crowded with children in the afternoon after 2 until night. 🥉I don't know why TPL don't separate study area with children area. Noises of children crying and screaming are so annoying 🥉When u want to shelter to a room to concentrate, it's just 2 hours u can use not more. 🥉Limited numbers of books available in this branch 🥉Staff are really helpful but they start to close there at 8:15, notifying again and again, although the lib must be open until 8:30 🥉 people there are working remotely or studying from morning to evening, there is nowhere to WARM THE FOOD, and when u ask about this issue, they tell u can go to second floor, but there is just a microwave in a room dedicated to staff, but not others and a huge kitchen and dining area IS CLOSED I DONT KNOW WHY!!!!

Visited the library for some quiet reading, but it's basically a daycare now. Kids running wild, noise everywhere. Complained, but management doesn't care. Don't bother if you want peace and quiet.

I've been going to this library for over a year now. Great, loyal, and dedicated professional staff. Just be sure not to be at the library on weekdays (during the daytime hours) when they have story reading for young children. Sure, it's cute, but unless you have earpieces it could easily be quite distracting. (Just don't judge the library based on these story-telling sessions - is all I ask.) Overall, I give this library an A- for keeping noise and distractions down. Would recommend this library to anyone who needs a good library for either research or quiet study.

The new library is opened!!! Yeah!! It is stunning. This library former site at Bayview Village Mall was closed effective May 27 2023 5:00 pm After many years of first rate service, wonderful times with neighbours and great staff ( A shout out to Norman and Gerry!) that are are very helpful, with prompt services always. Oh and very clean. Do note: Lots of young families in the area, so it is noisy during story reading times ( 20 - 50) family members ages 1 month up to 7 years during the summer and babies and toddlers the rest of the year. Nice adult reading group, good selection of newspapers and magazines, CD's and DVD's. They also offer an extensive selection of online products and services. NOTE: A NEW branch will open up further east on the south side of Sheppard Ave E. behind the Bessarion subway station. Twice the size of the current library. Attached to a community centre with meeting rooms and swimming pool and more!

Lots of distraction, very noisy. Haven’t got a chance to try the study rooms yet. Pretty much anywhere in the library is noisy, kids running around, people chatting, staff slamming doors. Whoever designed the library could’ve thought of user experience some more, use doors that don’t slam, have quiet reading/study area, area with slightly dimmer/diffused light source to reduce glare on electronic screens, etc. The library is relatively spacious and the staff is friendly enough. Wish the visitors can use the bathrooms with more care, quite dirty for a brand new recreation centre.

Hadn’t been here before the renovation. Pretty awful as a library currently, more like a bookstore -Kids screaming -Adults chitchatting, on the phone, laughing -Librarians talking out loud These people go back to your living room please

Always a great experience at this branch! Cozy and welcoming and the librarians are super helpful. This branch is currently selling withdrawn titles $5 for a large paper bag full! This has been a huge help in keeping our little neighbourhood library stocked full of children and youth fiction <3

Really nice new library. I like the working space a lot. There might be some noise from the kids coming here but I wear my earphones so it doesn't usually bother me. I really like how airy the space is, it's a calm environment for focusing and studying. Super happy this place opened up in my area!

It is the worst library. Don’t go, if you have to study, very noisy. Whole day is noisy. I don’t like it. Please improve this problem.

The library is amazing! One of the best. I keep working at different TPLs. This, by far is in my top 2. It's quite spacious. It has good isolation pods if you want to shut off the world and focus. It's got a couple of standing desks as well if you want to work. A lot of other desk spaces as well. Parking is awful at the moment since they're renovating it, that's the only concern as of now.

A small library but a wonderful one. The gentleman that does the story time on alternate Wednesdays is fantastic! He is great with children and very animated which gets the children very engaged in the stories and songs. The staff there are all very lovely and happy to help when you approach the desk. Best part of the library is the returns slot outside which has been great for when we have books that are about to be overdue and need to returned without entering the library.

This place is literally the miniature of Toronto's future. Massive spending and fabulous looking can't save its horrible experience due to its third world residents and their behaviors. Due to the nature of nearby demographics I don't anticipate it has any chance to get its patrons disciplined. But I do hope it will prove me wrong

Can get noisy when the kids are around but other than that I think 3 is fair! Its not a bad place to work on projects or study recommend having a pair of headphones or AirPods with noise cancellation and you will be just fine!

Had a quick in and out dropping off a book and picking up another hold. Entire facility seems well organised and signage is good. Warning, the muddy hillside temporary parking out front is very slippery and muddy.

Staff are really nice and the library is clean. Wifi is strong enough to surf the web. The only downside is that this library is fairly noisy. It's not so much a library, but more of a community centre.

Small little library in mall. Usually busy. It's not the quietest library but definitely louder at MANY other libraries. Sure you size, not many seats. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking.

I got a call from library. order book is ready so my son walked instead of me because I was working but one of staff told my son there is no book to pick up and said just to download it from the Internet. Do you think does it make sense???

Very friendly staff. Our entire family all got library cards for first time. It was quick and smooth. Great choice of children's books

This library is poorly designed and poorly staffed. After children arrive around mid afternoon, you will hear nothing but screaming and the sound of children running around until closing time. There are no walls to separate the children’s area from the available working space. The staff seem to make little to no effort in keeping this library quiet. I go to this library almost every day for long hours, and I’ve only seen the younger gentleman librarian try to control the rowdiness. I’ve never seen any of the other staff members even try to control the noise. Kids will be kids, but you can at least try to inform the parents to keep their children under control. Although, it’s understandable that the staff don’t care about the noise, since they’re often the loudest in the library before the children arrive.

🫤 nice library but rude staff. 😠 The minute I stepped into this library, I was constantly ogled by two guys, no doubt natives of this charming neighbourhood. 👍👍 The library is huge and newly renovated. The kids zone is really amazing. Their book collection is also very big. They have several professional programs almost every day. They even have a 3D printer. Lots of places to seat and read. The number of quiet room is less.
