As I know Library is supposed to be quiet and disciplined. In Centennial library, the staff members are so loud. They don’t even try to talk softly. How can they expect the library visitors to obey the discipline? People talk on the phone, eat like cafeteria, listen to music without headphones and crack jokes among the group. This library needs more discipline implementation and posters for the public to realize and respect other members who desperately visit library study and work. Every table should have some library rules for it to be a better place to read and study.

I absolutely love this library. I've been going here ever since I was born. It deserves an upgrade. That would give so much to a community that made me the man I am today. Heads up this library will be closed on February 18th for approximately 3 years. The nearest library is located by the North York center

I absolutely adore this TPL branch! The staff are always friendly to me and they have a great selection of books for all ages! The book sale is a little underwhelming but not much the library can do about that. The youth centre is fantastic as well, providing a space for children to just hang out and do homework or attend whatever events the organizers have in store. The youth centre also carries consoles and board games as well as free snacks! My only issue with this branch is the lack of seats in the main library area but this is usually not a problem as the youth hub often has a multitude of free seats!

This is the second time that I've visited this location. High-5 to Hi-thumb👍, who helped me find some lost Xcel documents and educated me about all the amazing learning resources at the Library. I had no idea (believe it or not). Thank you for your patience. You made my day. 🙂

I visited this location this afternoon with my infant, my son, and my brother with special needs. We were having some difficulties checking out but the staff person at the front desk was so patient and helped us out a lot. Thank you so much for your kindness, this location is always one of our favourites.

Very nice place to get books from, they have quite a couple. But I do wonder when the branch is renovating.

Plenty of natural light and places on which you can do your work. This library has a rich selection of books and the staff that is willing to help you. Just like all Toronto public libraries you can put a book on hold and pick it up here.

Just headed out to the Centennial Branch to get set up with a library card, and the librarians were super helpful in getting me set up and informed of the book and media borrowing policies!

Clean library, helpful staff but very VERY noisy. They don't even try to be quiet or be respectful to the people trying to study. If your coming here to just lounge then its fine but good luck trying to study.

I have used this Library for many years (almost 20 years by my estimation) but I cannot believe that they are shut down for 4 to 5 DAYS because the air conditioning is not working. How long does it take to repair a/c?? I am not happy. I have 3 books to pick up. 3 books that I was looking forward to getting because reading and meditation get me through the challenges and tribulations of this pandemic. You have to do better than this TPL! Please....

I left my jacket here by accident. When I called them to ask to put it in the lost and found, they were very patient and professional with me. When I was getting it back they gave it back to me with a smile. Great service here. Only gripe is that it can get a bit noisy for studying/reading, so you'd want to bring some headphones.

Apart from the library being pretty old looking, honestly it's a pretty good library. They have a good selection and staff are always helpful. Will always be coming back :)

Great people, wonderful space to work. A little inconvenient to get to though - between busy Finch Ave and a parking lot with broken pavement.

Almost always has what I want to read. Even if it's a book that has just appeared on the New York Times Best Seller list, I can get it in reasonable time from the Centennial branch. I don't live in Toronto, but I value TPL's service so much I pay to be a member.

The branch that I attended is on the north side of Finch Avenue West just East of Torresdale Avenue. Staff there are extremely helpful and very polite! It's a smaller neighborhood branch so if you live in the area or just happen to be in close proximity and require library services you won't be disappointed if you drop in.

Its a pretty amazing place to relax, read or study (though it can get bit loud). They offer many programs for youth in their lower level as well. They have a nice collection of books as well not a lot, but not too little either. The librarians there are also very kind and welcoming.

I reside in Toronto and I was told that because my address was north of Steeles, they wanted to charge me. I expressed that I declined because I was moving shortly below Steeles and I would sign up then...and they kept trying to sell me to pay. It was extremely annoying.

🫤 nice library but rude staff. Was in the middle of working at a computer station and was told to pack up in the middle of my work to give my space up for someone else who wanted the computer, even though i was there first. First come first serve should be a policy, no special treatment for late comer...

😠 The minute I stepped into this library, I was constantly ogled by two guys, no doubt natives of this charming neighbourhood. 👍👍 The library is huge and newly renovated. The kids zone is really amazing. Their book collection is also very big. They have several professional programs almost every day. They even have a 3D printer. Lots of places to seat and read. The number of quiet room is less.
