The stores offers new and used sports equipment so it took us some time to compare and choose what to buy. The staff (sorry I forgot his name) is very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. One of them helped us to find a suitable skating helmet with detailed explanation of the differences between skate/ski/bicycle helmets. Great service!

Brought my bike for a tune up and tire repair. Was told will be ready in 4 days. Came back to pick up my bike on the 4th day. They checked they realized my bike wasn't even touched, was told to come back in an hour. If it only takes an hour, why give a 4 day wait time? Fortunately, I was able to bring my bike elsewhere. This place has too many red flags unfortunately. From staff, quality of service, and management. I hope the next person has a good experience. If not let this review serve as a warning.

While not the employees fault (as its company policy), we were quite surprised that when they asked for government issued identification (to trade in equipment) and refused a native status card (which is official government issued ID). I realize it may not be as common, but it should be accepted like any other, as not everyone has a driver's license. Otherwise experiance was good. Helpful staff, decent prices, and good options for anything kids and a lot of adult would need for sports.

I am very disappointed in my experience. I bought a snowboard for $150 for my 20 year old son who wants to learn how to snowboard two weeks ago. I told the staff that we did not know anything about boards and boots. We got the board waxed right there for $35. I didn't get boots that day due to the expense. Today we went back with the board. When boots were matched up to his size, we were told that the boots were too wide for the board and it would be dangerous for him. I asked to exchange the board, and was told all they could do was buy it back from me for 40%, $60. I learned my lesson and will not come back again.

Uri was incredible: helpful, knowledgable, patient, polite ... he made sure our child was comfortable in his skates and had him try on different pairs until he found the best fit. He also helped with shin guards, a neck protector, a hockey helmet ... and cracked some jokes, too. The skate sharpeners and cashiers were professional and friendly, too.

I have 2 boys playing hockey and their older sister decided she wanted to start playing as well this coming season after seeing how much fun they had last season. Unfortunately, with my daughter being the oldest (and tallest), I didn't have any of the boys' equipment that I could give to her! To get her suited up, we thought about going to Sport Chek, Canadian Tire, and Pro Hockey Life, but decided to go to Play It Again as it's in our neighbourhood and thought we may be able to get some gently used equipment to help offset some of the items which we knew we were going to need to buy new for both my daughter and my sons as they'd also outgrown some of their existing equipment and needed to get the next sizes up. We arrived at the store and asked for help and were so fortunate to have Megan assist us -- not only was she so patient and knowledgeable about their available inventory, she's a competitive hockey player herself and even used to play in the same association as my kids. She endured my boys trying to assist her in finding the pieces we needed and within 45min got my daughter fully suited from helmet to skates, as well as a new helmet, elbow pads, and shin guards (used) for my older son, and new shoulder pads for my younger son. She knew how to size them all as well as the right questions to ask my kids when it came to how things felt and fit, and recommended a good mix of new and used equipment to keep costs under control. Even better, her personal and professional knowledge of hockey equipment from having played competitively herself was so helpful in advising us on brands and models that fit certain ways, were generally more durable, flexible, offer more protection, etc. I can't say enough about how helpful Megan was and how pleasant and patient she was to work with. I believe with anyone else I would've probably been in the store for at least 2hrs -- and on my own maybe 3! Thank you Megan!! I will definitely be going back here... but may need to call ahead to make sure Megan is working when I do, so I know I'll get great advice and amazing service! In Megan we trust!!!

I've been buying new and used equipment from this location for several years now. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the store is well stocked. Today, I went to get my kids outfitted with a mix of new and used ski equipment. We were helped by Olivia, who did a fantastic job, despite the challenges of having lots of customers in for the Christmas rush, along with the reintroduced Covid restrictions. Keep up the great work!

Great prices with good selections of most commonly used items. They have tons of hockey stuff but less for other sports. I bought some used soccer cleats that were in great condition for $15.

I went to the store today with my son and had the best customer service help. From the The moment I said down to try on a pair of skates I had Alex F help me Right away from seeing me struggle putting on the skates I told him I haven’t skied in 20 years and he had no problems helping me find the Skates-and the best price for them. From there he went on to help me understand that I had to sharpen my skates and why I had to sharpen them and then help my son pick up a hockey stick and cut the stick for him taped it up and was very patient with us. The manager Alex D Was also a great help. I would like this recognition to go to Alex for taking the time and helping a customer. Thank you again well highly recommend the store

First time doing the trade-in. Alex and the team were all great. Spent more than I traded in but the service was so great that it made me want to spend my money there.

I bought a high end used black hybrid bicycle on May 03, 2023. The bike mechanic assists me in a truly manner and very knowledgeable Staff. Store is very neat and organized, some Staff will approached you in a very good customer service.

The store helps you find things quickly, but the people who work there are not very nice. It feels serious instead of fun and sporty. Also, watch out—they might suggest more expensive stuff if you're not careful.

I needed help with equipping my son for leisure hockey and wanted to sell some Used equipment. Max was amazing! He assisted with all our needs, was patient, engaging and provided a lot of useful advice. Caster assisted with taping our hockey stick. It was a busy day at the store but everyone was pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend!

A pair of Bauer used skates were being sold for $99.99. I got a brand new pair from another retailer for $ 69.99. Maybe the buying policies of this store do not match that of big box store so I can give them that. But was really frustrating was the staff. It was our first time ever buying skates and we could have done with some guidance. We stood around the store asking for help for over 10 minutes but not a single employee bothered to even look our way. We then proceeded to try on a couple of pairs ourself but after seeing the price we decided it was not worth spending that much on used badly scuffed skates. Love how the owner spends time on responding to every negative review he gets. Maybe spend that time working the front of your store. What I have said above is true. Your staff were not busting anything but just plain not interested in doing their job.

Great customer service! I went to trade in a helmet and skates. My son's head was in between sizes so it took a very long time to get the exact match. Through it all Lucas (sp?) was amazing. He wanted to make sure that I got the best fit at the lowest price. It was not an easy match but in the end we got exaxtly what we needed at a reasonable price. I was particularly impresses by how he listened to my 9 year old explain what was wrong. Thank you Lucas!

Alex (pretty sure his name) was a great help.. he had a lot of golf knowledge and suggested me a couple clubs . A putter which I hit the nastiest put of all time with first time out and a driver that was a good pick as well. Thanks Alex and team always a great help

The staff i dealt with here prior is good and knowledgeable. I noticed they buy said they buy any bikes. Well i brought mine in and was declined a buy from them the older guy looked at and said absolutely no. Well you know that scene from pretty woman when Julia Roberts went into that store and said Big Mistake Guys!! I SOLD MINE FOR $100 BUCKS on Facebook Marketplace. That was a gag on your parts guys. Big Mistake!!!

Went to get my skates sharpened. I was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I waited around for almost an hour. I wish I was told it would be an hour. I would have saved some time and picked them up the next day.

Great place for your sport equipment needs. We always go here to buy some stuff for our daughter. They have good second hand stuff for fair prices.

This store have a good selection of stuff. Unfortunately, most of it new, that is kinda defeating the purpose of the chain. Anyways, we have found used cross-country skis for a child. It cost us a small fortune.

Terrible experience...didn't get my stuff out of the bag. The guy was ignorant. I chose not to even bother shopping or looking for what I went for. People will continue to use Facebook marketplace and this should when they get experiences like this. I say all this with 6+ years of previous Play Again Sports expereince.

I usually go to this store several times each year for children's skate and ski equipment. I like their 2 year half price new skis trade in program. That saves me a lot of hassle thinking of buying and selling skies for my child every one or two years. Staff are very nice and helpful, except that sometimes they're too busy and you have to wait for 30 minutes for a question. Recently the store had to be close but they still managed to take in my old skies for a store credit. I was so cold outside, looking at the staff inside wearing shirts but I had to wait outdoors at the entrance. I guess this pandemic changed too many things. Hope the store can reopen soon and we enjoy our normal life back again.

Rui Gomes is the most amazing employee I've ever come across at a sports store! He is very professional, corteous and profoundly knowledgeable about sports. He clearly knows his trade. Thanks to his sound advice, he helped me narrow down my options and buy a new tennis racket (and I had not bought one since 1995!), and I will be forever grateful. He asked me questions no one ever asked me before. I can't wait to come back! To the managers of the store, please give the man a pay rise or a promotion!

Store was well-stocked with used sports gear and well-staffed with plenty of employees available to help customers… Including Liam, who answered my many questions and provided guidance on how to select a pair of skates. He suggested several pairs of skates and patiently guided my selection process while I tried each pair on.

We went in today to get our children's first skates and helmets. We don't know much about skates and were blessed to have Liam's help. He was approachable, knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and infinitely patient and kind. 10/10!
