Come for the coffee, stay for the trauma. It was my first time ordering food at this branch. The cashier did not tell me which side to wait at, so after two minutes I realized I was at the wrong side. Then I waited another 10 minutes on the other side, before asking the lady (in the picture) very politely whether she knew where my sandwich was. She first stared at me, then pointed to a tiny corner, berating, "I CALLED YOU when this came out." To which I responded, "oh sorry I went to the other side briefly." Then she started HOLLERING at me, "DON'T YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT. HOW DARE YOU TREAT ME LIKE THAT." etc etc. She was pointing her finger at me, getting in my face, and shouting at the top of her lungs while I was just stunned for almost five minutes. Then another staff interjected, saying it was because some customers don't pick up their order. Really? She intentionally ignored me for 10 minutes while I stood three feet in front of her. The second staff even tried to get me to go away to the Loblaws customer service. All the while she was still screaming in the background. So I asked, "what terrible thing have I ever said or done to you?", her response, "I DON'T KNOW" ?! Wow... Not my fault that your ego is too big to work for Tim Hortons. Every customer was watching, it caused a big nasty scene. As an introverted and shy person, I felt extremely hurt, confused, and uncomfortable. But this time, instead of walking away like the other reviewers did, I decided to stand my ground while she yelled profanities at me. I requested to speak with the manager, when she finally stopped (bullies can tell who holds the bigger stick) but would not apologize. It's preposterous that my time was wasted, AND I got yelled at. Like the other reviewers pointed out, some staff here have zero concept of courtesy. I wonder how many customers have been mistreated at this location. If you treat customers horrendously, I'm going to take a picture of you and tell the world know about it. I regret not capturing a video to put on social media.

Good morning I was in Tim Hortons located in Loblaws North York Empress at 10am on 10/28/2021. There was a gentleman serving and taking orders in front. He was so rude and yelled at my wife while she made her orders. Even when she proceeded to make a payment, he kept yelling at her and showed very bad attitudes. We were very calm with the whole ordering process and didn't understand why he shouted at my wife for $8 breakfast order. The line was not long. There was around 6 people in line and it was 10am so there was no rush during rush hour. I wasn't happy with his customer service so I told him why he acted like that and he needed to apologize my wife. He said he didn't have time to apologize customer and just ignored us. We never had any experience like that in this Timmy's location. We weren't happy and we didn't want to come back. he was the only man working in Timmy's and I hope store owner/Timmy's had the right approach to train employers to treat people right.

This review is for Tim Hortons located in Loblaws North York Empress . A 1 star review is too much on this place and the whole staff. I would gladly place a -0 if I had the opportunity. The staff is the rudest i have encountered. Not one but ALL OF THEM. I am a loyal customer (every morning) despite their mood swings. But today was the last straw, actually two days in a row. I have been ordering a decaf latte for over a week now and today the gentleman at the counter told me they dont serve decaf although I told him that is what my order was for the last week + . He was RUDE, angry and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. It looks like the new staff is being trained to be as rude and dismissive as the old staff. I dont understand why no one does anything with the history of bad reviews below. I took my business to SECOND CUP (on the first floor of the mall) and would advise every unsatisfied customer to do so from now onwards.

This must be the worst Timmy's in Canada. REALLY BAD attitude with many of the staff. There are a couple of asian staff working in the morning that are good at their jobs and nice, but the rest of the staff look sideways at customers in total disgust. It is like they are trying to be very rude. So at 12:15pm there are 7 people in line waiting and I see the really rude staff person walking in the produce section pushing a cart buying groceries in their Timmy's uniform. Ah hello IT"S LUNCH TIME!!! you have a huge line up and your staff just wander around the produce section ????

I have the same order at every Tim Hortons everyday. After waiting for far more than the average waiting time. The order came worse than I’ve always had. What I saw in my pack sure doesn't look like the Steak & Egg Breakfast Sandwich I've had at other Tim Hortons locations. I wouldn’t recommend. I see why most people had to go to the Starbucks opposite.

I ordered a hot chocolate with a sandwich; the sandwich was nice however I specifically asked for oat milk and two sugars ( as I am allergic to animal protein). The cashier who took my order had made The hot chocolate so he was aware of the specifics of the order. The hot chocolate was terrible and it looked like it wasn't stirred.. horrible experience as this was my first time ordering from this branch When customers ask for specifics, it is for a reason.

WORST timhorton ever. RUDE staff. They open and close whenever they want. They refuse to serve customers. I arrived at 4:40 on Tuesday November 21 and they did not serve me saying “we have a lot of stuff to do so we are closing early”. On google it says open until 5PM. There was a gentleman and a lady and they both refused to serve me a small coffee. I will be contacting Tim horton customer service to report this behaviour and customer service. You need to hire better staff for this location since clearly no one is happy with them. This is not my first bas experience at this location.

Came by and ordered coffee, brown staff person with a beard (now shaved off after this review) working April 18th afternoon shift kept repeating the wrong size for fun, even though I clearly asked for a small. Asked why are you behaving this way? claims he can’t hear the size I ordered because of the mask but of course he can hear my question. How does Tim’s find and train people in customer service?

Very very slow service except for one female olive skinned complexion young lady who is always upbeat happy to serve and polite. The worse is a male late thirties Filipino guy who is sarcastic and passive aggressive. He messes your order purposely. Again, all except one employee at this location I sense are unhappy employees.

Rude employees and long wait times at this location. I think she's the manager or supervisor but she always looks like she's in a bad mood and talks rudely to customers AND employees. I asked for a double cup at the till and when I requested it at the pickup, the other lady (supervisor) comes over and says that they charge for cups now in a rude tone. I ask how much and she says 10cents. With the way she was acting you would have thought the cup would cost more than the mere 10 cents it was. They could have informed me at the cash register and I would have had no problem paying for it. This lady, however, acts like I'm trying to avoid paying for a 10c cup. Unfortunately it's the only tim hortons within walking distance for me but they always either mess up orders, forget items or take their sweet time while the line is all the way into Loblaws.

The employee was so rude. He decided to talk poorly about my friend and I to another customer in another language. Little did he know I understood the same language. His complaint about us was that we weren't looking him in the eye while he was speaking to us but we were trying to figure out how to use a coupon I had on the app. While waiting for our order, I told my friend about what he said so he must have gotten the idea that we understood what he did. When he handed us our order, he said "I know you guys understand me" in a rude manner and didn't even bother to apologize. My friend and I were in shock because we have never experienced such poor treatment. I would never visit this Tim Hortons again.

Terrible service. Waited in line and the creepy staff who is a filipino man made comments about how i should smile more. I asked him a question about what type of bagels they have, and he glared at me before insulting me and telling me I couldn’t speak basic English. All he needed to do was to answer my question on what type of bagel there was. He is a creep with no basic manners and hits on teenage girls.

A girl works at this Tim Hortons, don’t know her name but I’m pretty sure she’s Persian. She gives you the best costumer service you’ve ever received in any Tim Hortons all over Canada. Always smiling at costumers , super super nice, patient with older costumers. She even draws hearts and smileys on your cup of coffee. Makes my day every time I get coffee here.

I paid for my order using Amex then I didn't know that it did not go through so I just went to the pickup counter. The cashier gave me an attitude with a hand signal telling me to come back to the cash and repay for me order. I told him sorry and asked him why he had to be so rude and he winked at me (?) like I could just let it through - like no thanks. After paying for the second time it did not go through again and he asked if I was paying using Amex. I said yes and then he started saying they don't take Amex, when literally the debit machine has the Amex logo on it (?) It's literally their fault for making me look like I was gonna steal their $2 coffee and somehow gave me such a bad attitude with a hand signal like bro if I gave birth a few years earlier my son would have been your age by now. No wonder why this place got 2 star ratings. What a joke.

People need to understand that working customer service is absolutely demoralizing. People demand their coffee from these poor employees and think nothing of how they treat them. When people think of the customer experience, they only think about themselves and not the experience of the person behind the counter taking their order. When you have a disgruntled worker, maybe think about why they are in that space and don't judge them purely based on your own experience. These are people, they are not robots and they don't exist just to serve you. They have feelings and emotions and ultimately they have a breaking point. Be kind and if you don't want to wait in line, move on.

Says it’s open at 5PM, they close before 4:30PM. They close the kitchen around 3:30PM so you can’t even order any food, just drinks. No sign saying that they close these things at whatever time. Seems like the staff is making up the rules just so they can leave before the time that they’re supposed to be open for. Whoever is the franchise owner for this place or whatever needs to step up and make sure people get service for whatever they want whenever they want before 5PM which is the closing time listed

I work near this location and honestly it’s only in the most desperate times that I’ll frequent it. Terrible service. Staff are slow, miserable full of attitude. I know the corporate team reads this reviews. One bad review is one thins but the consistency of bad reviews here. It’s time to do something about it. For a brand that’s admired by so many this is disappointing

The worst Tim Hortons I have ever seen in my life. It was ok till a few months ago but in the past few weeks every time I have gone there staff refused to serve me for some reason . They work whenever they want. According to google they work till 5 but I have been there as early as 2:45 on a Saturday and they have told me they can't serve me an Americano because they have to close the store and clean the machine. When I said to them it's more than two hours to Their closing time they said they are alone while another employee was working just on the other side. At least 3 times I have been there and every time they have refused to serve me and I have to go to another place to get my coffee. The staff are also very Rude. They engage with you and talk back. Never seen such a thing before. This location was good before, I was wondering if the management has changed because staff are rude on a regular basis now. Sad to see level of customer service has gone down so much.

Yup, as some other reviewers mentioned, the short skinny young lady cashier is quite unpleasant, always looking at you as if you've done something to her. It's uncomfortable enough that I avoid this location despite its proximity.

I hope google map would bring an option for 0 stars. The staff at this location has always been rude and impolite. The experience I had today was the worst. They got my order wrong and I had to go back and then they refunded me with 10 cent coins for a wrong amount and had to go back again and they still didn’t accept their mistake. I would suggest everyone going to the tim horton located at 4986 yonge street instead of spending a penny here.

I am always intrigued by places with many bad reviews and I love to check them out to test whether they are so bad indeed. To my surprise (and I hope I am not going to jinx it) so far I've had only good experience at this location - but I have to admit that I never ordered anything more complicated than medium double double and a muffin. first of all the location is really convenient - right by the entrance to the subway station, for those who commute to work or school in the area. I actually found the staff really fast and kind, and nobody was ever rude to me there. it seems that it is a really good team and they do their best to serve heavy traffic there (fast food places tend to be understaffed these days, and there is only that much staff can do when there is a long line up and everybody is placing take out orders heaving forbid trying to customise as if it was a fancy restaurant). anyways, I really enjoy going there - but I am the type who budgets a few extra minutes for my commute so I am not overly stressed out if there is a line up or people are super slow with making up their minds while placing orders. kudos for the staff for keeping high spirits and being so energetic and super patient in the same time!

A guy is rude. Can't you speak a declarative sentence? Does every customer have to be very skilled to be able to order from this kind of "noble waiter"? This guy who has no quality, no patience please do not work in the service industry to affect the mood of others. On May. 5th Asian guy.

Each and every employee who works at this Tim s, tries to ensure that their customers are happy and cheered up many times in my case personally. Much respect to them.

  • 1/5 Hariharan S. 1 year ago on Google
Very rude staff. I asked the Asian lady to specifically asked for a large black ice coffee, I even told them no milk no cream. Still, they got my coffee wrong and then she asked the other Asian guy to take over my order, he came in and proceeded to talk to me in a condescending way when I told them about their mistake. And then talks to me as if he’s talking to a toddler, repeating each step of coffee making, very loudly. You messed up not me, don’t show your frustration on the customer over your mistake. Do yourself a favour and go to the Starbucks across the street.

Food was fine but the employees are very standoffish. Just got the feeling they didn't take their job very seriously

  • 1/5 Lariena L. 2 years ago on Google
The guy who took the order was so rude and impatient. He kept saying he couldn’t understand me and couldn’t hear me but I felt like he could hear exactly what I've said but decided to mock me instead. I ordered a sandwich in a clear and loud voice, repeated 3 times even the customer behind me could have repeated what's my order , but he just put on a wrap and didn’t provide me a receipt until I got the food. So I told the lady who served me the food that was not my order, she explained to me that’s what she have seen on the screen and offered to remake a sandwich for me but I didn’t want to waste food so I turned down. But the guy with such a bad attitude was really terrible, never have I ever encountered a person like this in Tim Hortons.

The staff are really nice, but seriously every time i get a coffee from here it is burnt. every time. I got a tea once and it tasted like water with sugar in it. Guys, you are a coffee shop! Learn how to make coffee!

  • 5/5 Juan Diego A. 1 year ago on Google
staff are so nice, coffee isnt "burnt" as some other reviews say. People are simply ridiculous are too picky like ITS COFFEE RELAX. The staff are great and I got my order quickly and it was everything I asked for. End of story. The bad reviews are all Karens!! Don't be a KAREN and stop being rude this place deserves better stars than it has.

It is not often that I write reviews; but I wanted to comment on the customer service I have witnessed at this location (December 2, 2022, 12:45-1:00 PM). Before I had placed my order, I noticed two team members (at the registers) were smiling and being very friendly towards other customers. I have also received a warm greeting by one of the team members - and this is my first time visiting this location. I have been to other Tim's locations that have provided mostly efficient service, and the overall customer service was not at all bad. But the customer service I had experienced today left a positive impression on me. Thank you, and keep up the good work. :)

5 stars for the friendly staff at the counter, but negative 2 stars for the grumpy lady with terrible attitude at the back. She wanted me to stand back in line again to get a paper napkin behind 15 people, after I already received my coffee. No thank you!

there is a woman working in Tim horton Empress walk . she is really rude , she shouts at customers and also change the order to what ever she wants , i ordered my sandwich on everything Bagel but she put it on biscuit. i asked her nicely where she puts my order and she shouts at me that i don’t pay attention.

I ordered timbits and noticed the person taking my order is putting a different flavor. I informed him nicely that i wanted a different flavor and Instead of apologizing he gave me a very a rude gaze and tone saying why i didnt tell him earlier and i said i only noticed last minute. ( i was looking at the menu). He then said " if you see something say something " and walked away from me. He is extremely rude. It seems like he was the manager, 10am Aug 27 and this location. I am very upset with this person. I just wanted to have my timbits and didn't expect to encounter something very mean this early. He shouldn't be working there if he is very rude. Giving me the TTC catch phrase is very very rude.

I do not like posting bad review but wow coming here is the hidden gem of bad tims. This location is inside loblaws. When i came today only the younger guy working here took his job seriously. And the sandwich maker. However one employee instead of helping the guy she just walked out and did not help until it was really busy. This is the only time i will come to this location it was medicore at best.
