Came here with our family as it was highly recommended by locals. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Pork BBQ is a must. Those BBQ was immediately consumed when it came. Both the Kare-Kare hits the spot. We also ordered garlic rice to pair with all our entrees My favorite is the mixed seafood with aligue sauce. I haven’t had that before, so that was a new and exciting one for us. It was seasoned well and not salty at all. Aligue is the crabs fat so eat with caution. The garlic rice is really good for 4-5 people. Although the lady who served us said it’s for 3. We over ordered, but wasn’t an issue as we had so much left over we had breakfast and lunch the following day. I would highly recommend this place is you’re in the area. The staff are very accommodating and that definitely compliment our experience

First time coming here. Parking is difficult to find. If you want some Filipino street food, this is the place to go. I got chicken skewers, kwekkwek, and fish balls. I was disappointed they had no chicken isaw, beef skewers, or chicken heart skewers. DJ and our server were awesome. Karaoke inside the restaurant was fun to watch.

The best BBQ I’ve tried. I loved their Chicken BBQ and Isaw. The pancit was very good ❤️ Big portion of Pancit and Crispy Pata. Plus the Gulaman is perfect!! I love everything I ordered and it’s worth the price. Will always come back here for the BBQ. ♥️

We went on a food adventure, and chose this spot to try out👏🏻 Not only did they serve up delicious Filipino food, but they also have Karaoke and LIVE music🎸 We got Pancit Bihon, 2 Pork & 2 Chicken BBQ Skewers, and Inihaw Na Pompano. Pancit Bihon was a Filipino Rice Noodle dish, the portion was incredible, super well cooked, it had Onions, Carrots, Cabbage topped with Shrimp and Lechon, the Shrimp was a bit mushy, but the Lechon was so crispy and delish! These Skewers were INSANELY good, it was char-grilled to perfection, smokey, tender, and flavourful! Inihaw Na Pompano was a Grilled Pompano dish, it was grilled perfectly, it had crispy skin, juicy, glistening Fish, paired with their Spicy Sauce, its so BOMB! We were so happy to have stumbled upon this spot, we had a wonderful time listening to others singing Karaoke, turned into a LIVE band performance, and delicious food!

I'm craving Filipino food so we tried to order thru Doordash. It came on time and was happy because the serving is big especially for Tapsilog it has more meat or tapa than other Filipino store. Then we tried their Seafood it was so yummy like Captain's Boil a mix of shrimp, mussel, and squid. But no crab but still flavor is savoury. Definitely will recommended and will try some other dish.

Filipino comfort food, buckets of San Miguel Pale Pilsener and Red Horse, free open mic karaoke. This restaurant is located at the corner of Bathurst St and Wilson Ave in Little Manila. We ordered plenty of food and beer. Recommend their lechon kawali and kare kare. Come by when you're bored and looking to start a career in singing, drinking and eating. #whenhungerstrikes #filipinofood #6ixeats #foodie #yelpelite #yelpreview

Visited my aunt in Toronto on memorial weekend and had dinner here. I’m always craving for filipino dishes. So happy my aunts brought us here. I really thought i took pictures of all the food until i found out this morning I only had three. The pork sisig was phenom. The beef soup is what I remembered when I was younger. Will def be back here when I’m in the area. Thanks for the good food.

Always a great time at Republika. We have been to numerous Filipino restaurants in Toronto but we really love the food here as well as the presentation. Servers as great especially Cliz and one of the chefs, Chippy. Thank you Republika! More power!

I love Phillipines culture. I'm a Caribbean, and I've been to the Philippines' great food and entertainment. This bar / restaurant is a little taste of home, for my wife, and I'm happy to always join in the fun. I always order something different, and I'm always pleased.

We came here on Wednesdays night and they had a live performance. Intimate atmosphere and a lovely vibe. I do think this place is very familial. People would get a bucket of alcohol and have relaxing dinner with family and friends. The food portion is big and delicious. I would love to go back and try everything in the menu. You won't find such an authentic vibe like this anywhere else. Highly recommend

I loved the barbecue, lumpia was okay. Sisig was a little dry and the rice was overcooked. We sat on the patio and they had a dj playing music and it was too loud, which reminded me of the typical bars back in the Philippines. I would love to come back to try their other dishes however I didn’t like how the server treated us. It felt like he was inconvenienced by us so I didn’t try to order anything more even if I wanted to. He seemed nice and he was smiling to other customers. My friend thought it’s probably because of his nationality/race. I felt embarrassed by it because what my friend said may not be far from the truth.

Place serves great food - should you want to try Filipino food this is the place to be. Street food like Bbq on a stick (pork, chicken, etc) is soo tasty. Others like roasted pork belly, seafood boat, kare-kare, noodle dishes, sarabasab, sisig are the best. They also have sisigsilog (sizzling pork, egg, veggies on rice) longsilog (filipino cured sausage, egg, veggies on rice), tapsilog (beef version) and daingsilog(milkfish version) are bestsellers among the kids. They have karaoke everynight and dj is playing outside for fun and good times. Good place to be!

Horrible customer service! It was our first time there. Have been driving by for months, smelling amazing babeque, so excited to finally go for dinner. From the front security man to the server, just horrible. Made us feel very unwelcome. Waited almost 30 minutes for a grumpy server to take our order. Waited another 45 minutes for our food. All the regulars get amazing customer service and almost instant food and drinks to their table, while new customers get completely ignored. Food was decent. FYI "chicken steak" is actually breaded deep-fried chicken. Also, expect to cut your meat with a fork and SPOON. None of the tables were given knives. Leads me to wonder, has there been a stabbing here??? Do not recommend this place, will not be returning.

The best filipino bar and restaurant in the city. The food has never disappointed and I love trying all the new items on the menu. I have taken several people to try this place out and they always wanna go back. Serves is top Notch and they always take care of you!

First time ordered food from them via Uber because the previous day we saw the cute tropical BBQ and inflatable beer bottle😄. My family like the taste of the Seafood platter, mixed veggies with shrimp sauce..😋 However, was disappointed because we ordered 4 skewers of BBQ pork and 2 skewers of chicken, only 3 came in. Still waiting on refund of these missing itemd. 😣

We have been looking everywhere for good fried crispy pork. Found it! This place is a lot of fun for Kareoke, live bands, great food. When we went it was pretty full so there was a short wait to get a table.

Update on my post. We've visited this place 2x in 2022 and, we enjoyed it sooo much. The food was great, food presentation and taste are exemplary (love their laing dish). Service is good considering it was packed. The live music was awesome. There's two security personnel roaming around so it felt very safe. The lady owner was accommodating. Overall if you're looking for a fun weekend night-out its definitely the place. The chicharon bulaklak is very good. Service was a bit slow because it was packed with people. A little bit concerned about the spacing of tables inside feels like its too close from each other.

On June 29th, 2021, I went to this restaurant alone to eat and taste the food that they prepare and serve. A lady noticed me standing at the entrance and I was offered a table. But after waiting for more than 15 minutes, no one bothered to come to take my order so I stood up and went to the counter. There was a tall guy who was standing on the counter but didn't even bother to ask what I need. So I asked him that I need to order food. He said to wait for a couple of seconds. Those seconds took another 10 mins so again I asked if I could order food as I was very hungry. Then he took my order. I went back to my seat feeling hungry. Fifteen minutes passed by, there was no food. So I just enjoyed myself watching YouTube videos. I saw the tall guy standing at the entrance door enjoying sending messages on his mobile phone without even bothering to check the customers. I got so frustrated when I saw a family who arrived 10 minutes after me being served their food orders. After 30 minutes of waiting I called the waitress to check my orders. After 5 minutes, one of my orders, the chop suey arrived. Then after another 10 minutes the rest of the orders arrived when the family who arrived after me was already enjoying their dinner. It took them 45 minutes to serve my order. There's a lack of training as far as customer service is concerned and it seems that the staff have none of those training at all. The speed of processing the orders is beyond normal and there is no systematic way of queuing the orders. Anyway, I still gave a $20 dollar tip for the very bad service of this restaurant. I promised myself that I will never be back to this Restaurant.

Lucky to get a table when we walked in. Sisig ,garlic rice 😉 and buckets of beer were the perfect combo. The music and performers were amazing. Attentive and approachable customer service. The washroom is located downstairs.

It is the ultimate go to for Filipino food here in Toronto. I love the food!!! They are all delicious ❤ Praise the chef! Thank you for satisfying my cravings.

The food is great here! I wasn’t able to take a picture of it but their sizzling porkchop in gravy and garlic rice was my favourite. The vibe was nice, some people were singing karaoke. If you don’t want to listen to loud karaoke while eating they also have a nice patio. The service was a little bit slow but that’s because they were understaffed. That was completely understandable. Overall a good experience and we left satisfied.

Came here on a Sunday early evening around 6pm, place is nice and quiet. Staffs were friendly, food was very delicious, and price is very reasonable compare to other Filipino restaurants! Portion was big and generous (the photo doesn’t do it justice), pork sisig was very tasty, definitely a must order! Pancit was packed with veggies and meat. Chicken and pork skewers were delicious. Definitely one of my fav Filipino restaurants in the area!
