Really enjoyed our lunch here. Who knew that a chickpea plant-based "omlette" could be so delicious! The dessert, Rosalach, with the hazelnut spread was amazing! Pro tip: They don't take reservations. If dining at lunch, arrive around 11:30 am which is past the breakfast rush and just before the lunch rush. Service was friendly and attentive.

I love Cafe Landwer. First of all it’s clean, the ingredients are always fresh. The menu is well thought and whatever we got was always tasty and fresh. My favourites are their Truffle mushroom pasta and hummus dish. We mostly go there for desserts and never disappoint. Perfect environment to go in a group, dates, family or girl nights or even go there alone.

Since this was our first time there, everything we ordered was new and get everything we ordered came on surprisingly very well. Load the internal decor and the food tasted amazing. I also very much enjoyed my milkshake. Our server was training a newbie and that caused some delays but otherwise we were very happy with our experience. Ambience 4/5 Service 4/5 Response time 3/5 (to be fair training people causes delays but still…) Value 5/5

Had my holiday party with my staff here this year and it was such an excellent experience. I have been to other landwer locations, but this one is close to work and nice and convenient Food is always awesome here. Ordered a bunch of apps, which I almost filled up on. The pita with the dips are just so soft. And the tahini was creamy and smooth I had the merguez shakshuka and very yum. I love their shakshuka as I think landwer was the spot for my very first one ever, so I have a soft spot on their shakshukas, which I think are just amazing Had a kunafeh to end the meal and not too sweet, but hit all the right spots for a dessert Service was amazing. Our waitress was super attentive to all our needs and went the extra mile. I had some extra treats like cookies and babkas that i ordered on the spot that they tried to accommodate for me, which is also greatly appreciated. But from what everyone says, I have to go and get a babka from landwer now A little info about this location. There is underground parking available for the building and as well an entrance inside the building to access the restaurant. There is also a pay station available inside the restaurant where there may be some validation of parking Great job overall!

Amazing interior. It feels like a diner when you enter but very elegant when you dine in. I ordered the Belgian waffles and the waffles were so soft and crunchy at the same time. I didn’t know that was possible! My server ignored me at first. After I finished my meal a different server tended me. I love the atmosphere. I ordered a London fog. It was very milky. Overall it’s a great brunch place.

Visited the cafe twice within a week as the food & coffee were extremely good! For breakfast, the pancake definitely worth to try! Definitely 1 of my favorite best breakfast places! Take note the portion is huge.

I really enjoyed their Mezza Platter, the Mediterranean Shakshuka. The platter quantity is sufficient for 2 people. The flavors of the 5 dips will pull your taste buds in different directions and they're best enjoyed with the pita breads. I'd suggest going at lunchtime to not feel stuffed. Great place to eat, nice vibe, and courteous staff.

Not only is this place pricey but the taste is absolutely bland and the portions are VERY small. I ended up going to eggsmart up the street after eating breakfast here because i was still hungry. They charge $3.50 for a basic cup of coffee which is rediculous. Eac dish on average will run you about $20 ...which is too much for breakfast with such lousy taste. The salad was weak and it tasted old. I would suggest to go elsewhere for shakshuka. My friend had the farmers breakfast and it was absolutely awful as well with a hefty price. I will never go here again.

Really wanted to give 3 stars because of the service at this location, but I like the food here, even though last time the pasta was absolutely flavorless, no salt, not creamy enough, at the same time ravioli were perfect 🤌🏼😅 service was really bad, even though the place did not seem as packed as usual and there were a lot of servers almost just walking around. I’m really upset with service this last time. I would understand if it was super busy, but there were a lot of available tables, (but still there was a wait list to be seated). The server wasn’t checking up on us, no water and coffee refills and overall it was hard to get their attention. However, food is usually good, (except for pasta experience). Maybe should improve service a bit, otherwise what’s the point of having so many servers🤷🏻‍♀️

Cafe Landwer is a cafe that serves up delicious International and Israeli-inspired cuisine. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating options available for solo diners or groups. The decor is modern with the large windows. Their shakshuka, a dish of eggs poached in tomato sauce, is a standout item that is not to be missed, which is in my pictures. The only reason I am not giving full 5 stars is because the time I went there I seat in their Patio and then the weather got so windy and I asked several times to switch with other inside tables but unfortunately the host and our server did not bother themselves to do what I ask. I was seeing they have so many empty seats but they mentioned “The tables are fully full”.

The decor is very fun and cute. The light situation, though, is frustrating. When the fans are on, the lights flicker, making it very distracting and difficult to read the menu. The London fog looked so good and aesthetic! It tasted good too. The berries from the French toast were very strong, almost an overwhelming taste. Regardless, I really like the fluffiness of the bread itself. It wasn’t a big standout. I wish there was more fresh fruit.

First time to this fancy restaurant. The inside looks not as good as from outside. Staff are kind and polite. Good atmosphere. Choice of food is limited . But the bakery is great. Pizza is super. Also the Middle East style plate is recommended. The seats are too close to each other feeling lacked of privacy.

I have visited Cafe Landwer multiple times and it has always been amazing. The food quantity and quality never fails here! There's also a lot of options for drinks ranging from tea, coffee, healthy shakes and a lot more! Nik's service was great! He ensured we had everything we needed and was pleasant to talk to! Would highly recommend this place!

Had a patio dinner. Great atmosphere, menu had a huge selection, service was great. The hummus was the best part! Schnitzel and Chestnut Ravioli were just okay… that being said I think this place is better known for the shakshouka, and wish I tried that! The chocolate sensation was too rich. The servers made it a special night with their friendly service, our dog even got water!

The best restaurant experience I have ever had! The server was attentive and helpful. The food was plated beautifully and was delicious as well as filling. I ordered the hummus bowl which did not disappoint! The atmosphere of the restaurant was inviting. They were busy yet the staff made sure that every table was being served and the server made sure to check in with us a few times. We also got hot drinks after and we all enjoyed them. I got the Sahlab which I am still dreaming of till this day at it was the most delicious concoction! Please check out their extensive drinks menu. I look forward to coming back here with a new group of friends!

Restaurant want clean & spacious. Service was okay. Food was pretty good. My favourite was the mushroom & truffle pizza as it was hot & fresh. Loved the desserts mainly the crumbled cheesecake, challah bread pudding, & rozalach. Would come back just for the desserts.

Food was excellent and the atmosphere is very nice for a cafe. The schnitzel was huge, couldn't finish it. Our server was very nice and friendly. But another wait staff was quite rude after dropping my friends jacket at the floor, I observed her rolling her eyes as she walked away. Did not even apologize. Soured the experience a bit, but otherwise a nice place to dine.

My friends and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Landwer and we had a great time! The cafe has a beautiful European-style atmosphere that really transports you to another place. The service was great - the staff was friendly, attentive, and offered helpful recommendations on their food offerings. We tried a variety of drinks, including Cappuccino , Matcha latte, House Blend tea  and Moroccan Bazaar tea, and each one was delicious and expertly made. But the real star of the show was definitely the waffle with vanilla bean - it was absolutely amazing!Overall, our experience at Cafe Landwer was fantastic and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great cafe with European flair, fantastic drinks, and amazing food.

The service is super dicey every time I’ve been here, and so is the food unfortunately. Having visited quite a few times now, it seems that this location just is not that great and hasn’t been since it first opened. It is a little pricey and considering this, there is an expectation for service to be good, and for the food to be fresh. But as you can see in the photo, the bread looks very clearly deflated and was very clearly microwaved to be heated up, and chicken just did not taste fresh. Also, please note the insane pool of oil beside the hummus? I get if there is a bit of oil added on top, that is normal. As well, if there is a little bit of oil from the chicken itself, but that is just really excessive. Their drinks here are really delicious, especially the hazelnut latte. However, I ordered a regular latte and my friend hazelnut. Both drinks were hazelnut. I just did not bother saying anything at that point but I’m not sure how this happens when the restaurant is empty. The location at yorkdale mall is much better and I think I will be going there instead down the line. I just feel disappointed and as if I’ve wasted my money every time I’m at this location.

This place provided a breakfast experience I have never had elsewhere. The variety of sauces, spreads, and toppings were presented so well in a homey tray. The pita bread was great, the Nutella shake and latte were even better. The interior was cultured and the staff were really sweet. Only thing holding it from 5 stars was that the egg, the star of the breakfast for 2, was mid at best…shame.

Beautiful restaurant. They have lots of vegan brunch options which is really nice. Things are definitely on the pricier side but the interior and plating are beautiful. They have diverse food options and the whole experience is wonderful going there. The potatoes are to die for and a must try.

First visit to this location (I’ve been to downtown and Thornhill location before). We were a group of 6 for a weekday lunch. We phoned ahead of time to reserve but they told us they couldn’t accommodate us, no problem… except when we were seated we asked for a different table but we were told no because THAT table was reserved. Service was friendly but extremely slow - both taking our orders and bringing out our food. 2 sandwiches were cold though tasted decent. The last dish came out several minutes after 5 others at the received theirs (further making the food cold as they waited for everyone to receive their food and start eating). They redeemed themselves by acknowledging the slow service, apologized and offered us dessert on the house without us saying anything. 👍🏻

Food is good and they are busy during brunch on Saturday. Got the smokey brisket omelette and a Cobb salad. I liked the omelette more. One thing that I should mention is the parking. There is an underground parking and it's $6 flat for the weekend. But what needs to be mentioned is that you can get it for free if you dine here. However, you only know that once you are inside the restaurant. There is a parking ticket machine in the restaurant with instructions on how you pay for parking for free. The problem is, people normally park their car and then pay for parking before leaving; not at the store. And there is no notice that mentioned you can get it free if you are visiting the store(s). So a lot of people probably ended up paying without needing to. They need to find a way to improve on how to let their customers know about parking.

We visited Cafe Landwer for brunch and it’s the spot for those looking for a Mediterranean and Italian fusion taste. The atmosphere brought us back in time with its classic diner vibes - it’s like a nostalgic journey. Our server was super friendly and attentive, which was great. But, there were a few mishaps in the service. Our food took longer than expected, even though we ordered before others. Also, they forgot my smoked salmon, which only arrived halfway through our meal. Despite the hiccups, our food was still awesome. The eggs Benedict Florentine, with the side of smoked salmon was a great choice. The protein-packed omelette was fantastic too. Don’t miss out on Landwer’s famous iced tea; it’s quite a great choice of refreshment. All in all, a great place for brunch, even with the minor mistakes in service.

A casual vibe, very welcoming. I went with some coworkers for lunch. The portions are very filling and quality food. If you’re looking for lunch or breakfast that is a great price, quality and fast, friendly service, this is the place.

Good place to get brunch or dinner with variety of menu options. I ordered the shakshuka with challah bread, was very tasty. Servers provided good attention. It’s a very popular restaurant so be sure to reserve a seat in advance if you don’t want to wait in line.

  • 5/5 Karen M. 2 years ago on Google
Relaxed atmosphere and good food - bread is really tasty. We had a Friday brunch here and was pleased they let us take us much time as we wanted; we weren’t rushed to eat and pay. The Mediterranean Shakshuka was delicious. Could use more bread for dipping. The Farmers Breakfast was also a great choice.

I can say I expected more for their Turkish coffee. I ordered and I have to say it was not really a Turkish coffee. Overall I expected more and the atmosphere was the best thing that I find in this restaurant. I hope next time order some other items and get a better quality 🤷🏻‍♀️

I would rate the food here as 3 stars, but because the waitresses were all so nice and patient with our group, I felt like they deserve an extra star. We came here for breakfast and there was already a wait for outdoor seating. I think that their dishes are decent, but maybe a bit on the pricey side for what you are getting. In particular, we got their Landwer's Famous Breakfast for Two which, while still tasty, felt a little too small and simple for the price of $36.

This is our go to lunch or dinner or snack place. A lot of choices and great atmosphere. Highly recommend: cauliflower starter, roasted egg plants and grilled green veg. Starter price 10-20 mean around $25. Love their window sitting and in the summer nice patio by Yonge street.

  • 5/5 Amanda O. 2 years ago on Google
One of my favorite restaurants to date! Their apple pie is the main reason I go there, its warm, tasty, will leave you wanting more. Seriously- a 11 out of 10. I decided to try a new meal ( Sinia Kebab), loved the mini salad that came with it( Tomato + Cucumber). The bread could have been baked longer but overall, it was a delightful meal.

This review is based on a limited dining experience. Located at the heart of Yonge Street, I popped in for evening tea. Great ambiance, friendly staff and great service. The dessert menu had a really good spread with some unique dishes. I ordered bread pudding with ice cream, which was fantastic. The apricot made it special. Overall, I loved the experience.

I went here for my boyfriend's birthday with our daughter and some friends for the first time. We tried the patio but it was to loud for our baby so they gave us a table inside. The light was flickering above us and they fixed it for us when we asked them to, very accommodating. Our food and drinks were all delicious and we had great servers helping us. We would definitely come back.

A cute place for brunch! Sleek design, clean and comfortable environment. Missed my chance to take a picture of the Acai Bowl here, but it was definitely a good choice for anyone who is looking for a light breakfast. They also have vegetarian dishes, which is always a bonus! Pastas are alright l, coffee is good!

Amazingggg place to have brunch, lunch and dinner. I usually order once a week from thinsplacw for dinner but never thought their brunch can be as amazing as their dinner menu. Definitely recommend this place

Went on a busy Saturday morning in February for brunch at the location near Mel Lastman Square. Got on wait list on Yelp and didn’t have to wait in line. Sat in the party room, which was very spacious, comfortable and safe. Service was outstanding (thank you Selin and team). Food was amazing. A little on the pricey side but it works out if you share (the portions are large). The freshly baked bread is delicious!

This place is such a treasure. I have tried different things to eat and drink so far. Nothing can be disappointing. The staff is great and treats us with care almost always despite being a busy cafe. There could be a wait but trust me it's worth your time and money.

Cafe Landwer is a great place to spend the time with friends, food is fine and service is good, prices are a bit high but ok. The place is very comfortable. They should improve the waiting time, It is to long sometimes.

  • 5/5 OLIVIA 1 year ago on Google
During lunchtime, there are many customers, so the cafe is full. It's good to have a main with coffee and salad for brunch. Overall, the food is delicious and pretty. There are many customers, so the table spacing is narrow and noisy, but that's the charm of this place. Avoid if you want quiet. Everything is forgiven because it is delicious. The staff are also quick and friendly.

We always passed by here and never want to go in. From the outside, it looks like another cheesy place. We went for brunch today and as soon as you step in you know this place is not what you think. Service was great. There were busy and our host said it may take longer to have our order. She was very sweet and polite. We ordered and we got our food very quick. Good was very good. The only thing they can fix is the washrooms. Not enough washrooms for ladies, even my partner had to use men's washroom. And the men's washroom was out of soap. But we will go back for sure. Oh one last thing, you need better music 🙃

  • 4/5 Hannah 2 years ago on Google
Recommend shakshouka! Interior is also pretty. However, they have a really long line up on weekends so try going weekdays instead.

  • 4/5 Selmor R. 1 year ago on Google
First time visitor. Our server Nick and Manager Miguel were great. We celebrated a birthday there and got the birthday treatment. I preferred the food over the drinks I tried. The house blend tea and mint lemonade were not my faves. The carrot cake was good too. Good price and ambiance. I will return to try other things.

  • 4/5 Eric D. 1 year ago on Google
One of our friends highly recommended this place and I also enjoy the atmosphere, food, and services. The brunch menu is delicious with many options to choose from classic eggs to some of their specialty. We were lucky not to wait too long for the group of 8 people. The reason for the 4-star review is because we couldn't find our waitress and when we asked the other staff, they didn't seem to be pleased to help.

Came here with friends for brunch and thought the food was quite good! I ordered the famous breakfast and really liked the variety of dishes. The bread was so fluffy and soft and my favourite was the fruit cereal. I tried a bit of the Belgian waffle and it was good too. The Nutella hot chocolate was very enjoyable, not too sweet but very creamy. Would come here again and recommend to others 🙂

This cafe is absolutely fantastic! The ambiance is very casual yet elegant. Food was insanely incredible; everything we ordered was mind-blowing, then came the dessert- OMG! PLEASE TRY CHOCOLATE SENSATION and the HALVA pastry! A big thank you to our very courteous server, ROMAN, you made our experience extra special. Keep it up guys. We will definitely go back!
