Another example of business owner exploiting students to work for FREE for many days on the name of "Unpaid On-job Training". The owner/manager (Muiz Malek) is very rude, ill-mannered and unprofessional person. He is so aggressive and yells on new trainees from the day 1 and humiliate them in front of customers. He will make work environment so toxic that the trainee would leave work after few days and owner do not have to pay anything. There is a reason why this restaurant have such a low rating on Google reviews and going to reach 0 very soon. This incompetent person needs to take training on 'How to train others' before hiring people for work. To other staff members, can you start using gloves and maintain some hygiene while handling food because you touch 1000 things in kitchen, including money, computers, and have some self-respect don't support this person when you see him bullying new people.

This location unfortunately is hit and miss on quality. Popeyes is one of the better Franchise Fried Chicken spots when done right but that is the key. Chicken is usually ok here but I had one of the worst chicken sandwiches and popcorn shrimp here it was unbelievably bad. Either old oil and or improperly cooked had me thinking. If they just took their time and paid attention to detail it could be much better. Fan Favourites when cooked properly... Spicy Chicken, Chicken Tenders, Coleslaw and Strawberry Cheese pie and the Sweet Heat Chili sauce is the best around. Feb 2022 update is the service is seriously slow with many items not ready and takes way too long now losing a star going down to 2

Food is dry and meat is old and tastes so bad we had to throw everything in the garbage - never going in here again. We ordered for Poutine with extra sauce - it was still so dry (check pictures) Chicken tasted different and yuk - seem old stock and not cooked properly, even my stomach was not feeling so good the morning. Worst Popeyes ever - seems like I'm not the only one who said these.

This is a terrible store . The “manager” stares down customers. No one in this store smiles or greets anyone with any kind of polite welcome. Repeated unsatisfactory visits. Receipts given are under “training” mode so there’s no store info to identify them to head office. The server put the order into a paper bag, then dumped the fries on top of everything. This is the strangest thing I’ve ever seen!!! Everything got greasy and half the fries ended up almost soaking through the paper bag from all the grease. Pretty pathetic an employee is so deliberately careless. Ordered several dessert pies and several were unlabelled despite all being different flavours. Another example of employee laziness, ignoring company policy, and general poor customer service. Popeyes!!! Please employee people that actually want to work and enjoy dealing with customers. Many, many unemployed people exist and are looking for work and would do a much better job!!! This entire group is very poorly trained and seems to have a negative, gloomy attitude. What’s wrong with smiling at a customer!?

My chicken smells of shrimp, as if the same oil was used to fry the chicken. Not sure exactly why am getting this smell. But you need to figure this out

I went to the Peanut Plaza location. It's Tuesday so I ordered 3 of the Tuesday specials. The cashier asked me if the chicken can be combined into 1 box. Sure. No problem. It was a takeout. I took it home. 4 legs and 2 thighs. Well that's not fair! Because it's a Tuesday special I know you get only dark meat. Understood. No problem. But I expected a leg and a thing pairing as always. Well by combining 3 orders into 1 box, I got 4 legs and 2 thighs. That's not right! I like the thighs more as thighs have a little bit more meat than the leg and have more of the crispy skin which I love. Popeyes is Popeyes so the recipe is standardized across location so this comment does not reflect on taste, but this location cheated. Not right. I would have said something if I was dining in but it was a takeout and I don't live that close to this location so no point driving back. That was not a mistake but intended. It is not right. Even when an order is combined into a box, I would still expect the standard of a leg and thigh pairing should still remain.

Today around 9:30pm I had placed an order pickup from the ubereats app. When my food was ready which I saw my food being packaged at the store… I told them I was picking my order, and the ladies working there refused to give it to me, not believing for a while that I was the ubereats pickup customer(??). Literally told me "it's for Uber, not you etc”. Then left me there for awhile until I asked for my food again 💀 The process took 40 minutes overall, took way long than other stores. Many others were behind me waiting for their food as well. And the customer service there had no respect but attitude towards me + very unorganized. I will not be coming here again.

⚠️ PSA: Always double check your bag before leaving this location! ⚠️ No matter what you order, take out, delivery, pickup, always! They always forget something, every time! I've been a customer to this location for about 2 years off and on because I do actually like Popeyes, but this is one of the worst locations. Whether it's just a biscuit, or a side, or a whole wrong item, be on the lookout for your missing item(s). I went earlier today (giving yet another undeserved chance to you because this is the closest location) when it was dead-quiet and they had full staff on deck before the afternoon rush. Missing biscuit. Platters are supposed to include them. Mine did not. It did include gross dark wilted lettuce on my "deluxe" sandwich, though. 🙄 I'd say be better, but man the bar is already so low. To the owner/management: Train your staff better, or maybe completely change your approach to training because it's not working. All they have to do is make sure they put all the items of the order in the bag, and make sure they are the right items. It's super simple. I've worked enough fast food jobs before to know that. Do you?

Food is not bad but they take a long time, and the short brunette waitress (I believe she is Indian, but I am not sure) seems to like my husband too much. She goes on and tries to flirt with him in front of me, casually making comments about his appearance, his smell and his food choices. It happened several times, one time we were there she tried to ask for his number and said that they could have a Popeyes meal together. He said: no, I'm clearly married. I am 3 months pregnant and this disturbed me a lot. When I tried to talk to her about my order, she ignored me and went back to talking to my husband. Every time we went to get food, she made the experience uncomfortable. The man was wearing a ring, accompanied by his pregnant wife. We like the food and live close but going there is not a pleasant experience anymore. Maybe the orders take so long because she is occupied flirting with customers. She needs to learn how to behave properly and get some sense of work ethics not to get involved with people's families. Popeyes should train these waitresses better.

Ordered 8 pcs. Upgraded to All Thigh. Total garbage, swage waste. They are all too dry to chew. Every single piece looked refried and very dark weird coloured meat inside. Don’t go there.

This location has been regularly understaff lately, The managers frequently leave a single poorly trained cashier and a single cook to struggle through the post dinner evenings. On March 7, we watched the cashier horribly handle multiple complaints and frustrated customers. She told a customer "no, you're wrong" when the customer pointed out that they didn't get what they ordered and told a different customers "I told you you'd have to wait, so wait" When a customer complained that they had been told their meal would be "ready in 6 minutes" half an hour ago. Our order was fine, but slow.

I bought 3 times badly smelling chicken. I also met a lady returning the chicken to the store. Totally around 8-10 times purchases from this store. The meat is not fresh, you can tasted it. I am looking forward to go to the Fairview mall store that will be opened shortly.

Another fried chicken fast food brand in Canada. The fried chicken burgers are quite affordable and tasty. They have a special Louisiana-style Cajun seasoning. Overall, it's a decent option for eating out, and the prices are reasonable considering the cost of living here.

***Beware***BLOODY*** and not fully cooked fried chicken. I just bought 10 pieces dark meat for my family and kids noticed a few pieces have blood still in the supposedly well done chicken. I brought it back to them right away and the girl at the counter was very nice to help but after she went back and forth to the back a few times talking to the manager I got quite annoyed and asked to see the manager. Finally Malek the manger came out and told me this is the first complaint today and because I already ATE some of the still raw chicken pieces he can only replace or refund the remaining 3 pieces I brought back. Quite poorly handled. No concern that there is a health and safety issue with raw poultry. I’ve lived in the area for 15 years and go to this Popeyes on a regular basis. I will never go back again. The whole staff have changed. The previous female manager was reasonable.

I been buying some chicken here for half a decade but recently I tasted so different than the usual. Something change the recipe and even the chicken is not fresh anymore. I thought I made a mistake and I went again after few weeks but it's the same. I remember the people there is all new. Terrible taste. Bring back the original recipe.

Just bought a Tue. 2pc Special. Was told ketchup is not free, I need to order it. KFC is nearby. No more Popeyes Chicken for me in the future. There are plenty of restaurants around that value my business.

The worst experience ever. Went there made my order they told me it will take 15 minutes. After 15 minutes they said five more minutes it took them 40 minutes 😡 to have it ready. I paid $50+ 💸 on my order asking for spicy pieces only, they have put few mild I sow them taking the mild piece asked them to confirm if it was all spicy they lied and said yes. I am one unsatisfied customer. All my family members are feeling sick 🤢 after eating from here. I'm never never again coming to this place.👎👎👎👎👎

This Popeyes location is the best location. Way better than the Fairview location! I recommend not going here around 11AM to 3PM because of the crowd of students but the location is fantastic.

Such a disappointment. Ordered online and had to wait 20 minutes longer than time provided. Chicken wings and tenders were raw and had to cook them at home. Fish and shrimp is a joke. It looked like somebody took a bite out of the fish and very small portion. Will not be coming back to this location again.

The fish and chips was okay. The chicken tenders were not tender. They were a little undercooked , yellowish, and weren't tasty and didn't have a good texture.

Much much better chicken than KFC. The biscuits are good too. Might be a tad salty but hey that's the butter making it taste that way. Seating area is small but people truly come here to take out. The shrimp doesnt seem worth it but the Combo deals offer good value.

I ask them well done (fresh) 5 tenders but they gave me not fresh one. For assuring myself I ask them “is that well done” they said “yes” but it wasn’t. Along with that there wasn’t no Tissue paper as well in the store. Don’t waste your time and money at this place,not recommended at all.

No idea, when i asked if the Popeyes is Halal? One of the employee said it is only 2 or 3 locations are Halal including this. But that's not true. It is a Franchise, all the chains are getting same food from 1 supplier. Clarification please from concern management.

This is the best Popeyes I've ever been. The store is very clean. The cashier was very polite and sweet. The food was really good and they prepared it pretty fast.

Just bought 8 piece chicken July 7, chicken has an old/dirty oil smell and taste. If you charging customers full money for food, please try to give proper food as well. Hope you change your oil in a timely manner.

Gosh!!!! The fried chicken was soo much salty... The fries were soggy and the biscuit were alright too... Not very good food from this joint this time. Also the salad was off ... tasted like it was not good to eat... that was a waste. Also the fried chicken too oily... Wouldn't order from this place at this joint again.

Worst popeyes location ever.I have gotten uncooked chicken from here.Not only once but a couple of times. Today I ordered tenders and they were uncooked that I had to go back and get refund.I have experienced stomach ache after eating two of them. This the worst.Dont buy from them.Not to mention the spider that came out of the bag.If there was no star option I would press it.

The lady working at the front was very polite and gave us extra ketchup and napkins when asked for. The classic chicken sandwich was very good. However, the Coleslaw was terrible. The texture and taste was literally like oil!! Disgusting...

One of the most friendly costumer service I have ever experienced, not one time, everytime I go there. You just tell them what you want, they will find the best price for you. There are three Popeye's in my area equally distant from my home. But I always go to this store for their excellent customer service.

Some pieces of chicken seem old and dry. Has happened twice.

I bought 3 tuesday specials yesterday and today i found out that out of 6 dark meat-1 was just breast and 1 was wing-which were so dry that i could hardly bite any!! I was so angry that they dare to cheat customers so obviously that i just called their manager for the complaint. First she excused if i had mentioned dark meat at the order (of course it says all dark meat in receipt). Then she said perhaps not enough dark meat and breast was more expensive. It is rediculus because there were many chicken on the shelf!! Then she excused again that i had to complain yesterday not today, saying that the staff was not at work today. I told her that it would not be just the mistake by the staff. You may mistake the thigh with breast but not a drumstick with a wing!!! I argued that if the staff dared to change 2 pieces out of 6, that should be the policy of the store with the top's demand or approval!! Then the manager asked me to hold the line and then it was cut off few seconds later!! Now as i check on the reviews of this store, i am surprised that most of customers have very negative experience!! Just wonder why it can still survive and the headquarter does not discipline the owner!!??

Had the classic chicken sandwich combo its a small popeyes however they keep it clean and the soda machine you can refill yourself. I would come again

Worst popeyes ever. They messed up my order, gave me the wrong drink, didn't give dipping sauce that I picked. The tenders were salted so heavily that my tongue felt like it was marinated. Go to another popeyes. Never order here when there's a McD next door.

The worst experience ever I had in this location, Very very unorganized and very very very slow people working there. Most importantly very very very unpleasant workers working in there I can't believe it the management of this location sleeping somewhere? how they are getting fixed and improved. I just bought a 10 pc. chicken dinner meal. The bill said half white meat and half dark meat. I got home and I had 4 drumsticks, 4 thighs, a wing and a rib. That's only 2 pieces of white meat. I called the store and they said "That's how we pack it sir." Then they said if I go back there they will give me 3 more pieces of white meat. I'm never going back there again. This happens regularly to people and I'm fed up with it. Do your self a favour. Look inside the box before you leave the store. Terrible place.
