    Ren's is a big box pet store with large quantities of the same thing with a very restricted variety of products. I have visited on multiple occasions and rarely find anything I am seeking whether it be food or merchandise items for my pets. I leave saying I will never return. You are lucky if there are 2 cashiers on and even if there is, its always a wait, not that the store is over run with customers - its not, it always takes 10 minutes or more to check a customer out or it's someone returning something. For the best service and product selection I find a smaller competitor, Pet Valu always the best. I am always disappointed or just shaking my head when I leave the store. Yes, I say again, I won't be back.

    SUPER SLOW checkout, people have issues and clog up all the lanes for 30 mins, no attempt to deal with them on the side. I've done online pick up before same problem you have to go through the super slow cashier's. Better to go to Petsmart if you don't want to waste your time standing in lines.

    Extensive variety. Received $5 off for becoming a member. No good deals today but lots of promos on select days. Had unique products to promote health which I am trying. Probiotics, bone/joint, dental, and grooming products purchased. Sales personnel gave treats to my dogs!

    Helpful and friendly staff! We needed a muzzle for our Terrier-mix (rescue dog), and the gentleman there (SN) was very knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with the selection and fit of a proper one!

    Cashiers are kind, and they have a wide variety of things. Although the prices have rised because of inflation its still a good place to shop for pet supplies! I buy my cat food and doggo treats here!

    I love this place. I buy my Berners raw food here!! The staff are super sweet and helpful!!❤️🐕 if you are looking to Nature logic pumpkin puree, you can find it here but they sell out fast!!

    I’ve been here a few times, when the pet food ran low. But… I can’t rely on this location while taking a break at work anymore I received a parking ticket within a minute or 2 of parking at this smart centres, Not the businesses fault! But unfortunately, as mentioned before, the “landlord” and perhaps an over zealous parking officer, are the motivators of this review downgrade Contracted out parking enforcement at this location will issue legit city of toronto parking tickets. And the parking officer, a contractor, was totally inflexible. Unfortunately, I will never patronize these businesses again. Ticketing loyal customers is ridiculous and insulting. Shame on ‘property management’ According to the parking enforcement officer, property management (smart centres) doesn’t want work vehicles to park here anymore.

    Nice layout store, clean and well organized. Parking spot is tight, if you have a bigger vehicle, might be a problem It’s free to join the membership and have many perks you can enjoy, including the free birthday biscuits for my dogs.

    My recollections of past experiences with employees have been either pleasant or ambivalent. My experience with an employee this morning left me feeling as through my business, overall satisfaction and experience did not matter. I am sure that other customers and fellow employees are similar as this persons overall demeanor was incredibly negative, dismissive and uninterested. Considering the availability of ordering similar products online for comparable prices, delivered to home retail stores should be doing everything possible to welcome customers and create an experience for return business. I left approximately $100 in purchase items and drove 20 minutes to another store to purchase the same items. For the first time I did not feel welcome let alone appreciated as a customer. I will not be returning. Your customers and other employees deserve better than such negative energy before noon.

    The experience today at Rens was absolutely awesome in every way and it was all because of Mary. She was kind, friendly, helpful, energetic and simply fantabulous. Thank you Mary! Definitely the best!

    I visited this pet store for the first time, very disappointed!! I want to get some supplies for my chinchilla. The discount sign on shelf said ALL small animal foods are 20% off. However, I was told only pellet on the upper shelf is, the hay on the lower part is not. This is so funny, something like meat is human food, and salad is not!? so what is a salad? a snack? The discount sign on another shelf said ALL small animal toys on sale, buy one 20% off, buy two 25% off, buy three 30% off. But they didn't honor it! I was told all kind of excuses, such as the POS system can't do it, one of the item is $2.99 and not able to apply, the discount should only applied to the cheapest item and that's most other companies practice too (how this is related to other companies?), and it is depend on the vender etc. One of cashier quickly took the discount sign off the shelf after talking to me, so I was not able to take a picture. If you shop here, read their discount sign and check your receipt very carefully.

    I love ordering from Renspets but today I had a doordasher deliver my package to my house since I was low on food for my fur babies but I am extremely disappointed in the staff from downsview location. Today there is a very bad storm happening and they had the audacity to not give my dasher a bag to carry two bags of kibble and a bunch of canned food. I feel extremely sorry for my dasher, who struggled to bring all the items in.

    Aggressive sales people follow you around and give advice but then don't stand by it. Store Manager was rude and insensitive regarding an injury caused by a poorly chosen (recommended) crate. No help offered at all. Not even a discount on a more appropriate item. I'd prefer to direct my money toward a vendor with better customer service and management who cares more.

    Really helpful folks. Prior to curbside only I enjoyed shopping here. Some staff members are so knowledgeable, and the store always feels clean and well kept. They are a bit pricier but they will price match if you mention it at the register. Still great service at this location with Curbside. I ordered my stuff online and has able to pick it up within the day. Staff even called when one of my items was short and helped me replace it with another. Would be 5 stars if they were still a Canadian company as advertised

    This is my go to location for any and all pet related supplies. I’ve been going here ever since I got my dog. They are the only pet store near me that stocks my dog’s raw food brand. The staff here are always ready to help and knowledgeable about what they sell.

    I went to pick up a treat for my dog when I hear a man speaking to the girls on cash saying “Don’t give out free food unless….. He was speaking at the top of his lungs for all the customers to hear. I had to wait to cash out while he was talking. On the way out I asked if he was the manager he replied that he was the Supervisor. I told him that what he was saying shouldn’t have been said in front of the clients but should have been said in private. It was very unprofessional. He yelled at me outside and called me RUDE. I was surprised to hear that because he was the Supervisor Needlesss to say I won’t be shopping there ever again.

    I’ve always loved Ren’s Pets and this location is my go to. Unfortunately, my experience today was unpleasant. The second we walked up to the cashier, it was already uncomfortable. The white mature lady who’s in the cashier is so aggressive. I have 2 accounts under my phone number and I have previously addressed this with another cashier and we’ve come up with a solution to just make 1 of my account to be my primary account because she told me she couldn’t delete the other one. Today, this old lady was so rude as I was just trying to ask her nicely if she can use the account where it has a note saying “USE THIS ONE” (I can see it from the screen) and then she started explaining her side in a very offensive way as if I’m dumb and I don’t understand what she’s trying to tell me, that she has to merge the accounts and all that stuff and the other cashier shouldn’t have done what she had done with me because that is not the right way of doing it. Could’ve explained it in a better way because the issue was so simple but her attitude is just garbage. I will still come to this location because everyone else is amazing but my advice to the other customers, if you need help just avoid that old lady and ask someone else for help. And for that old lady, don’t bring that attitude to work because you’re ruining a good business.

    I've ordered online and gone in person for some stuff they won't ship unless you get really big quantities. Gotta love Rens for having stuff even better than the vet and at a lower price. Turning my 14 year old doggo's life around.

    Ren's is great! They have a good supply of dog treats and food that are different from the regular PetSmart or PetValu. Our dog loves the treats from rens and the staff is always helpful. Highly recommend if you want your dog to try out different brand of quality treats.

    Great experience at the store today. I just got a new puppy and didn’t know what to get but Linsay helped me pick out a harness and all the things i would need. She was so fantastic, i will definitely be back

    Thank you Rens . I have a very picky 6 months old mini Dachshund and after months of stress due to him hardly eating ,the staff helped for over 30 mins finding what he would like and giving me many tips for the future. It's been over a month and my little guy eats and is very happy. Thank you Thank you so much ..no other store went above and beyond as this one. Thank you a very happy customer

    As a few people have mentioned they are having issues with their systems resulting in a 10-15min wait time per customer! I’ve witnessed the 2 young ladies working as best/fast as they possibly can while remaining friendly and professional. I have also unfortunately witnessed customers yelling/complaining about the service. My review to head office is a 0 star as this issue has been on going since the weekend and you clearly haven’t done anything to make it notable to your customers to avoid having angry customers abuse your workers! Get it together! To the staff hang in there and keep up the professionalism and positive attitude!

    The prices are too high, staff isn’t as friendly or knowledgeable as other stores but they have a good selection of dog collars and an engraving machine so I come for that.

    My pups always love going to the store. They are always given treats when we checkout and the staff is always super friendly! I was able to pick up my dog Coby's birthday treat and lots of cute toys! But man was it ever warm in the store! It was hot outside and it would have been nice if the AC was on.

    After 15 minutes of digging through a bin covered in 50% off signs and full to the brim with one product, we were told the product in the bin wasn’t on sale. We had been helped by a lovely employee the entire time who also thought the product was on sale. We both discovered small writing on the signs confirming the stipulation afterwards, but COME ON! The manager had been observing us during this time without comment. Why would this bin be full of this product covered in sale signs!? After confronting the manager nicely he unapologetically and rudely refused to honour the sign. I left without buying anything and won’t be back. I understand mistakes happen, but the right thing would be to acknowledge the stores mistake while at the same time making the customer happy, ensuring a purchase and the return of customers.

    My first time ever going into a Ren's. The store itself is big, clean and well stocked. I just felt the gentleman that was assisting me had little to no knowledge of pet food. He basically told me to look at the bag, fumbled his way through our conversation (I felt like he was making things up as he went along) I was taken back due to the title on his badge. I went to another pet store, I received great information - my mind was more at easy making the purchase for my dog. I hope this will be addressed. This is not the industry to be in, when customers, like myself, are to trust your employees with our precious animals.
