Restaurant

👍 I love their fresh breads and breakfast options but they run out quickly. Most of the lunch items we ordered were good but not very flavorful. The best lunch item was the chicken curry. The Turkish delights are amazing. During covid they are only giving water bottles unless you insist on tap water.... I love their fresh breads and breakfast options but they run out quickly. Most of the lunch items we ordered were good but not very flavorful. The best lunch item was the chicken curry. The Turkish delights are amazing. During covid they are only giving water bottles unless you insist on tap water. When we initially asked for tap water we were told they're not allowed to give it to us however after speaking to the manager she clarified that they prefer to give water bottles but if customers ask for tap water they will give it. Staff is always friendly and the venue looks great.

Delicious and authentic Turkish eats !! Lovely Ambiance and great service. Highly recommend the Grand breakfast. Good portions and a great spread of marmalade, dips, cheeses, salad, warm bread, kebabs, eggs. Enjoy all day with Freshly squeezed Orange juice, Lemonade, and unlimited Turkish tea. Bright, colorful decor and the pleasant staff definitely guarantees a great experience. Will be going back there for sure!!

My family visited Mado at the Yorkdale location on Christmas Day. This place is absolutely 'LIT' (literally) on the outside with all the fairy lights🤩✨️ They have all-day Turkish breakfast, entrees of all sorts, and LOTS of dessert and Turkish treats♡ They also have an area where you can purchase merchandise! I would recommend the following: - Appetizer platters to share! - Chocolate Milkshake 💯 - Fried Eggs with Sujuk (sausage) - Fettuccine Alfredo Chicken & Mushroom If you're celebrating a birthday, you'll be in for a surprise! Such a great spot for large group gatherings too!

This place is aesthetically stunning, you can evidently see that they invested a lot of money into their interior design and decor. However, with that said, the food is sub par ar best.p We went there for desserts and a drink but were quite disappointed with the food. Everything served was very presentable and pretty but lacked taste, flavor, and overall, it wasn't very good. It's great if you're looking to post photos on Instagram, but not if you're looking for something to enjoy.

Authentic Turkish cuisine. Hmm the menu is on the pricey side, not much options for mains in my opinion. The previous Turkish restaurant I've been to, had more options, better portions with good prices. I'd say, here is mostly good for aesthetic and desserts. The food was okay, not bad. Desserts were yummy!

Very good restaurant, tasty food and a lot of deserts that include pistachio! Extremely tasty Turkish ice cream! I think that you would have a blast to just order pistachio desert combo and Turkish coffee, that’s a combination of tastes you don’t find often. Great ambiance as well, rather modern environment. Prices of main dish are a bit higher than what you would expect but the did sizes are generous. Lunch was very tasty and we will be back!

The place was nice. Food was pretty good, since I’ve never tried Turkish food before. Lots to choose from, also some vegan dishes. Staff was nice. The only reason I’m giving this place a 3 star is because when we had got our receipt, it already had the tip included (15%) there was no option, to give a lower amount or if you wanted to tip at all. I don’t agree with this, as it’s a way to get people to HAVE TO tip. What if you had a bad experience? And you still are obligated to tip?! That’s NOT OKAY! Also, most people don’t even realize until it’s too late or at all. So, please pay attention to your receipt before paying.

We were a group of 18 people who went there on Sunday morning for brunch. The taste of the food was very good but very expensive! We ordered , kunafah, menemen, Hozleme, and The waitresses were very unprofessional. We were waiting to get the service for almost one hour. Even for getting the bill, we were waiting for 45 minutes! Overall, the customer service was very bad while the food was good.

I came here for dinner with my friends. The place was calm and empty for a weekend but their food was amazing. The ambiance was good as well. I like the pasta they have and the meat in the other dishes was tender. Their baklava was way too sweet for my taste. Other than that I shall come back again

Definitely order the ice cream with carrot baklava! Waiter said even the ice cream is directly from Turkey. Would come back a million times for this! The decor is really great too! It’s perfect to come here with some friends to enjoy Turkish tea and some dessert.

Before our latest lockdown I got the chance to dine in for lunch. I was so impressed by everything, I had a really lovely time. Staff were friendly and courteous, the food was SO delicious, you have to get the pistacio baklava omg. The wrong coffee was brought out to me but the manager noticed the mistake and brought my correct order over and took the drink off the bill - which I wasn't expecting! The wrong coffee was still very good so I didn't mind either way but was happy to get my order corrected. The dining room is just so gorgeous, they really went all out for the furnishings and ambience, the dishware, the comfy booths and chairs. I'm already looking forward to going back.

Let me start this by saying the vibe and hospitality of this place is beyond fabulous. The actual building aesthetic however looks like a service Ontario. Secondly, the food was incredibly aesthetic and beautiful visually. Now if we get to the actual food. If you really think about it. It’s literally basic ingredients that are placed in separate bowls. I suppose I’m just not a fan of the Turkish palette. None the less - an enjoyable experience Pro tip- don’t sit near the oven like I did.

Over the years, we've visited MADO Yorkdale multiple times, but unfortunately, we've noticed a steady decline in both service and food quality. While once a go-to spot for Turkish cuisine, it now falls short when compared to other Turkish restaurants in the area, which offer superior food and service. The saving grace for MADO is its interior design and decoration, which remain welcoming and aesthetically pleasing, creating a nice ambiance for dining. However, the service has become increasingly disappointing. On our recent visits, getting the attention of a server was a challenge. The lack of attentive service, combined with the dip in culinary quality, makes it hard to justify choosing MADO over its local competitors.

I recently visited MADO, a Turkish restaurant in Toronto, with a group of friends for brunch. Unfortunately, my overall experience was less than satisfactory. Firstly, the absence of a printed menu and reliance solely on an online version created a significant inconvenience. The server on duty was unhelpful and unfriendly, providing little assistance in making our selections. This lack of guidance made the ordering process challenging. The pricing of the dishes was unreasonably high, and to our surprise, each individual was required to place a separate order with no option for sharing. This policy seemed impractical for a group setting and contributed to an overall feeling of discomfort. Furthermore, the serving of a small amount of bread was disappointing, given that Turkish cuisine often relies on bread as a staple. The initial bread basket, containing small buns instead of traditional Turkish bread, did not align with our expectations. Even when we requested another basket, we were only offered white flat bread that was neither fresh nor of high quality. To make matters worse, the menu was not available in printed form, and we were forced to email it to ourselves for reference. Additionally, a service fee was automatically added to the bill, eliminating the option to choose a tip amount. This left us feeling pressured to pay an extra 20% regardless of our satisfaction with the service. While the restaurant boasted a beautiful atmosphere and Turkish ambiance, the high prices, lack of hospitality, and inflexible policies made it an unacceptable dining experience. I hope the management considers these issues to improve the overall customer experience at MADO.

We had a really good time here. First time to this place and was surprised in a good way how good and refreshing the food was. Highly recommend the starter platter shown in the picture and the deserts. Customer service is top notch as well!

I visited Mado restaurant with my family last year for breakfast and overall, the food was good. However, the service was slow and we had to ask for bread multiple times as we were only served 1-2 pieces for our large family, which was a bit frustrating. Despite this, the staff were friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for tasty Turkish cuisine, Mado is definitely worth a try, but be prepared for a slower service.

We were here for brunch. We paid $62 (including tax and tip) for what you see in the photos for two people. Pros: + great ambiance. Good customer service and friendly staff. + authentic breakfast. Cons: - Extremely overpriced. - Small portion. - Expensive tea without refills which is not a Turkish tradition. If they reduce their price by 40%, I can think of giving 5 stars. At the moment, when I compare what you receive, for what you pay, I cannot recommend the restaurant. 30 bucks for four eggs with small Sucuk cuts (Sujuk) and a tomato does not make sense. 5 dollars for a small mug tea is also pretty unfair. The tea has a foam on top which shows they pour it hastily. The price on their website is updated and different from what you see here in Google maps. I should say I am happy with the attitude of their staff. Most of my deductions are because of portion size/price and the better alternatives you have in the city.

My 40 birthday 🥳was memorable because this place. Good vibe and super friendly staff. Their food such as starter , main food, dessert … was very good. What a beautiful restaurant(very nice decorated and design of colors). First time visiting this place and absolutely love it. Everything from the food, to the people and the restaurant itself were spectacular. First time visiting but definitely not the last. See you again soon! I recommend this place and enjoy it 👌👌👌 The servers (Miss:RANA)are also super nice and pleasant in conversation😍👌🧿👌. I couldn't photograph the food, dessert...but the taste of the food was amazing.👏👏👏

Super cute spot for Turkish brunch! The parking lot is hell, but once you get inside you're greeted by the super nice decor and a very spacious interior. We ordered the Mado Grand Breakfast, which allowed us to sample a number of different dishes as well as cheeses, fruits, and spreads to pair with bread. It also comes with Turkish tea with tea refills. Portions were very filling, we were stuffed by the end of the meal. The food's on the pricier side for brunch, but you're also paying for the nice ambiance. All in all, a great option for a cute brunch date outside of the downtown core!

We visited the restaurant with a group of 15 people. However, we were informed that they only able to split the bill for groups of four, no less than that. Additionally, the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity to the bill. The Iskandar kebab, although named the same as what I had in Istanbul, didn't quite meet my expectations. I found the portion size to be small, and the overall pricing to be on the expensive side.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was impressed by the authentic flavors and warm atmosphere. The kebabs were succulent, while the baklava could be much better as it was not at all crispy and felt like it was just made warm in a microwave, which we saw before the staff brought the same to us. Also, the order took like 45 min to come from the kitchen and staff told that they are understaffed. Go to the one in Downtown instead of coming here, i would recommend.

The deco of the place is brilliantly lit and well done. Seating arrangements are planned well too, for both smaller and larger parties. The service was below par as there's a button on the table that you need to press to get their attention, we weren't sure if it worked or not. One who attended to us, didn't seem particularly happy to be there. Food is good though, I wouldn't say great. The bakery had a lot of items but were a little expensive. Okay for a one time experience.

Today we had a great experience like the previous experiences in this cafe and the server, whose name was Cem, performed well even though it was his first day of work. If you are looking for a great experience in a beautiful place and excellent quality, I strongly recommend this cafe.

I absolutely enjoyed having brunch at MADO. The Beyti omelette, the bread, and the Turkish tea were absolutely delicious and yet, there were many other exciting items on the menu to try. If you are looking for a cozy café to spend time with your friends over a nice hot beverage and some delicious dessert, this is the place!

I had the pleasure of having Brunch at Mado Yorkdale and it was truly a delightful experience. The food was not only delicious but also authentic, giving a genuine taste of Turkish cuisine. The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who made our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Mado for a fantastic dining experience that will transport your taste buds to the heart of Turkey. I can't wait to return and try more of their dishes

The hype that I am about to give this place is much deserved! Immediately when you walk in you are greeted with a beautiful array of Turkish coffee sets, an ice cream bar, and so many goodies you almost feel overwhelmed with choices. The hostess was patient with us as and even offered us a sample of Lokum (aka Turkish delights that have put all others to shame) and helped us decide what desserts we should try. We initially visited Mado for their cool looking Mocktails which were amazing, but everything on their extensive menu looked good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable and the venue itself was so beautiful.

We choose dessert for this visit. I personally had the sugar free almond ice cream which was delicious. The layout and feel of this location is elegant. It is beautifully decorated and encourages lingering for long chats and enjoyment of food. A friend picked up the baklava to take and it was delicious. The person who helped us with the desserts purchased as take out items was a lovely, helpful and friendly woman.

Great place to celebrate with family and friends. Chose this for my spouse’s birthday; very nice ambiance and great for kids, too. Good food and service. Ordered lots of food - Beef tenderloin, pasta for kids, burger, chicken kebab. Of course, turkish coffee, mocha, kunafah, pan tres leche, latte cake, baklava, etc. Kudos to Emre specifically for serving and assisting us, even taking photos, videos and making the moment extra special! Everyone loved it and we’ll be back for sure!!
