Had a pretty good experience here a few months ago. I had high expectations for this place because my friends really love it here. I ordered the bun bo hue which was pretty good but not the best I've had. Also tried their vermicelli which was pretty delicious. Really good portions and I like that their menu is extensive and have items that not all Vietnamese restaurants may have. Service is a little slow considering the amount of servers they had... they weren't too attentive. We did however get seated right away. Definitely will come back for the food.

Pho Anh Vu as a chain establishment is overpriced and overrated. Ordered the bun bo hue after hearing good reviews about it and wanted to give this place a second shot after a terrible experience at the Kennedy & Hwy7 location. The soup flavour was just not there and I felt like I was just drinking pho broth that was spicy. If you’re in this area anyway, just go to Bun Bo Hue (the restaurant) for better bun bo hue.

Great service, friendly staff and fresh ingredients. Pricey and cash or debit only. There special is the pho broth. Very rich and healthy. Not to much MSG! On weekend they have the special Bun Bo Hue spicy soup. Overall I will come back.

Authentic Viet taste we’ve been craving for. Its absolutely northern, unlike the ones downtown. Portion was huge, we were very much full and satisfied. Bun ca (fish soup) was a hit, better than the one we had in Hanoi. It was often crowded, hence less attention from staff but they were helpful. The design of the place was a bit cheesy and 2000s but thats kinda interestingly nostalgic to us. Great meal, great value. Definitely come back soon

Great restaurant for Vietnamese food lovers. My wife especially liked her dish which was grilled pork with vermicelli noodles and I really enjoyed the grilled chicken on rice that I ordered. If anyone is looking for authentic Vietnamese food we strongly recommend this restaurant, it's a must try.

You won’t likely find a better and more authentic Vietnamese restaurant in the GTA. Every item we ordered was right on in terms of flavour authenticity. The portions are extremely generous as we have to pack a few dishes home (meaning more goodness later on!). We also tried their Richmond Hill location but found this location better although it’s further away from where we live. We would definitely come back whenever we have a pho and Vietnamese food craving!

Want to enjoy with real Vietnamese foods taste ?! Here is a best place to pick and enjoy guys!!!! All Vietnamese restaurants in my feeling, they usually good or best only some dishes but not for all ones, but with experiences here, I still didn't even have to get any mood down to come.

Best Bun Bo Hue I’ve had so far in Toronto. My first bite reminded me of my moms cooking instantly. They even had Bap Chuoi to put on the bun. No other restaurant has ever given me that before. Authentic, will have again and again.

Did not expect this place to be like this. Quality was really good for the food. Broth was a bit salty but had alot of flavours. At 2pm they were already sold out of alot of their specials and there was a line up still out the door. Will return back again to try other dishes.

Went on the weekend for lunch. Super busy and make sure you take a number from the staffs (customers usually will stand near the front entrance and blocking) we waited for 16 mins for our table. Food came super fast and portion is big. I would say price is reasonable And it tastes good.

My favourite new Vietnamese spot. We ordered spring rolls, pho with rare beef and brisket, and bun bo hue (not pictured). Both soups were excellent - broth was flavourful, noodles were perfectly cooked, and there was a generous amount of toppings. Will definitely be back!

Great experience. Had gotten recommended this place from a friends friend. Was here on Sunday evening. Came to try the Bun Bo Hue, which is only served on Fri-Sun, however, at the time they were sold out of both the soup & spring rolls. Got the special rice noodle soup. Great soup, broth was nice and clean. Will definitely be coming back! Really nice staff.

The food is delicious and closer to authentic Vietnamese food than other Vietnamese restaurants I've tried across Canada. The portion is bigger than usual and so is the price. The owner is welcoming and friendly. However, the restaurant is always busy and crowded, especially on the weekends during lunch/dinner hours with long queue.

The food was quite fresh and portions were okay for the price. We ordered the All Meat Pho, Chicken with Broken rice, Shrimp Spring Roll and deep fried chicken wings. There was a lot of broth but not too much noodles in a large pho. The wings were a bit dry and too sweet. Same as the chicken on the rice, it was a bit too dry and the size was kinda small (lots of rice though). Service was very slow and there were at least four servers when we went in a not so busy Sunday afternoon. Maybe the servers were underpaid students but who knows. Also the restaurant only take debit and cash so that is kind of inconvenient. We spent about $110 for three people. We drove 30 mins to try their food out since the other highly rated Viet restaurant close to our home had a long line and we didn't want to wait. Will we come back for more? Probably not since there are other restaurants in the vicinity to explore.

If you want to try a special pho, I highly recommend this place. Its certainly different from other pho restaurants as their soup was unique imo. If you prefer non greasy clean taste this is not the place for you. But if you love rich meaty flavour you should definitely give this place a try. Price was cheap for the amt of food they serve. I felt like I shouldve brought 4 people to finish two bowls of noodle. *I really liked Hue special which they only sell on Fri, Sat and Sunday. Never had any bowl like this elsewhere. Broth was so rich w flavour and it had interesting toppings like crab cake, meat ball (which looked lik a spam) and variety of tendon, beef & more. *Regular pho comes with huge chunks of beef with a bone. Broth was quite greasy with sooo much meat but because of that, its so rich w meaty flavour. **be warned of the XXL portion. For ladies, I recommend sharing one bowl. I eat alot but I was defeated after eating 1/3 of the bowl. **there will be a line but wait time is short, about 10mins or so. **this place would be perfect esp during wintertime 👍👍

Best pho in town by far. Can have this all day every day. Pretty much anything you get here is delicious. The wings are great, the vermicelli is good and plentiful. There are certain noodles soups that are only available at certain times or certain days, so if you're lucky enough to try those before they sell out for the day, definitely worth a try.

Hidden gem, possible the best pho in the city. Very unique and flavourful broth, flat rice noodle which I like better than the regular string type. Great mango salad as well, super tasty. Must try. (Good atmosphere for a casual date)

The best pho place we have ever gone to. It was very busy and the lineup was out the door. However, worth the wait! We ordered 3 different soup entrees and 2 appetizers. Everything was delicious! Price was $$$ for all of those but can’t even complain because the food was good and they didn’t cheap out on adding more carbs (noodles) and less meat. A small and large bowl had good balance of meat and noodles. It was very satisfying! Thanks for a great experience!

very good and distinct flavour. A good bowl fills you up without feeling bloated or hungry. Nice condiments on side and good meat cooked nicely. The Hue Beef special is great.

A very busy and amazingly good Pho in North York :) Pho Anh Vu opened in 2019 and it in my opinion is one of the best Vietnamese Restaurants in North York. If you have big parties or want to dine with your family, Pho Anh Vu offers the best Vietnamese is the right place. the ingredients are fresh and good quality and the service is fast.

Came here as my sister's reference as she mentioned the (bun Bo hue) was the best she ever had. I personally thought the Pho Dac Biet was the best pho I ever had in restaurant. The broth was so rich and flavourful, the the noodles being fresh thicker midsize noodles. Then the portion of variety of meat that is placed in the bowl was great. Slightly wished I had more noodle to meat ratio was greater, but again still great bowl of pho. Me and my partner had these two dishes -Pho Dac Biet (9.5/10) -Bun Bo Hue (8/10) Then had two appetizers -Deep fried spring rolls (8.5/10) very crispy and good mixture inside the actual roll. -Fish Sauce Fried Chicken Wings with Sticky Rice (6/10) as I found the taste of fish sauce reminds me the flavour should be on seafood dish not so much on chicken wings. The sticky rice was good, no complaints. The service was great, quick, and polite. As in the wings said to be done in 15-20mins, but literally came out in less then 5 mins after placing our order as in for everything else too. The restaurant is tidy and not crowded/overwhelming. I will be back for some pho. I do have to say the pricing is on the more expensive side, but that goes for anywhere you go to right now.

The food is good. The meat was nicely cooked and was juicy. We find it pricey the small bowl of soup noodle was $16 and it was not filling. We had to continue finishing our meal at McDonald's.

Pho Anh Vu is my go-to when I’m craving Vietnamese food! Service is quick and food is always consistently good. I always order the fish sauce wings, spring rolls, and pho dac biet. It can get quite busy with long wait times. There are plenty of parking spots.

Pho Any Vu is probably one of the best in town and probably the most authentic in taste. Food here is great, been coming here for years and things are still the same and If not, even better than before. Here's a pro-tip to know if your Vietnamese restaurant is authentic or not. Summer time will serve you cold/ice tea in a pot/jug/glass/bowl/shoe/plate whatever it may be, this is a must culturally. Also, would like to point out that, even with inflation and rise if cost they manage to provide the best portions and quality of food. One more suggestion is that if order the small size and some apps to charge amongst your group. This way you won't be too full afterwards.

The best pho in the city. The broth is so flavourful and the noodles have such flavour too. Good amount of meat and all the veggies are nice and fresh. The place is tucked away from the major street but it’s still busy so you know it’s going to be good. Staff are friendly and we didn’t have to wait too long. Will be going back to try other things on their menu.

We went just before dinner time and there was a small queue. After we finished there was a very long line up for dinner. Their seating system needs a bit of thought. Service is quite quick and they are properly staffed to have someone help at almost any moment. Everything we ordered tasted great! Meat portions are good compared to other places. This is reflected in the pricing. Overall, I was very satisfied and will definitely return if I'm in the area.

3.5/5. This place is a mixed bag of highs and lows. The restaurant’s interior had two flowered trees and spacious seating, which looked welcoming. However, the conspicuous presence of supply boxes and a table used by staff for organizing utensils ruined the overall atmosphere and made the it look unprofessional. I started off with #5 Spring Rolls, which was perfectly fried to a golden brown and delivering a satisfying crunch. But it seemed overpriced at $4 per two-bite piece. The main dish, #15 Phở Dặc Biệt in large size, was generously portioned with meat, noodles, and herbs. While I would have preferred softer noodles, the broth’s taste was flawless, a perfect balance of ingredients. Service was also a mixed bag. The staff was efficient in taking orders and serving, but that is it. Afterwards, no one came by our table, and I needed to grab someone for any requests, including settling the bill at the cash register. This experience left me wondering if the staff really deserved the customary tip. In terms of value, while the food quality was high, the overall pricing seemed steep, especially considering the service level. This place is suitable for those prioritizing food quality over value or crafted atmosphere. If you are looking for a well-rounded dining experience with value, service, and ambiance, then you might want to explore other options.

One of the best pho broths I've tasted in a while. No extra sauce is needed! The beef bone pho is enough to feed 2 people and comes with an extra joint full of yummy tendon on the side. A real showstopper!! Definitely worth the price. All other dishes looked good but the price point is higher. I thought it was worth it but be forewarned it's not your typical pho pricing or place. Very good!

One of the best Mango Salads I've tried in Toronto (mind you, the bar is not very high, due to the overall low-ish quality of these types of salads in most Pho joints I've been to). Their higher prices are worth it, in my opinion, as they definitely step up their Mango Salad game by adding fun details like Chopped basil, crunchy fried onion and nuts. Their dressing is too sweet, in my opinion, and not very balanced. But it does throw a flour punch. Be prepared to drink allot of water after 💦😉. Also, pretty descent pho, although was disappointed when it didn't turn into jello after being refrigerated (meaning it contain little to no real bone broth - only flavouring). Better atmosphere than your average Vietnamese joint, but seems like they are running out of storage space, as the back of the restaurant serves as an open storage space with boxes and supplies spilling over onto the dining area. Aside from that the place was buzzing!

My dish was good but I ordered S4 and they gave me S3 instead. I don’t like the pigs blood and knuckles they put in regular BBH and I had ordered one without it. I would give this place another try but I was disappointed in not getting what I wanted. Feedback for the kitchen and waiters is to doublecheck what they’re serving their guests. I hope they improve their service and check their orders more.

I’ve tried many many Viet restaurants in Toronto but this place is the best by far. If you are looking for an authentic Viet place, this is it! You have my words, from a real Vietnamese!

The place is packed from open to close, so just take any seat you get. Portions are massive and shareable. Food is packed with flavour. Lots of condiments on the side. Nice space to host any small events as well. Service is quick! They don't split the bill on weekends so be prepared. Clean washrooms and the space is wheelchair accessible. Lots of free parking in the lot. Highly recommend.

I've been on the hunt for the best bun Bo hue in Toronto. For a while, pho dau bo on Finch and Weston was tops; HOWEVER, this place takes first. The meat portions were just so generous and tender. The flavours of the lemongrass and the spice was just the right amount. I also don't really like a lot of the "blood pudding" block, and most places overdo it. Here, it's minimal and not very strong, with the different flavours of the meat cuts (fatty, flavourful, and again filled with flavour) taking most of the flavour palate versus the strong blood pudding. Highly recommend. I'd be going back. It's one of the nicer pho places in the city! I do like the aesthetic touches of the trees inside but some may find it corny. Either way, good service, good food, we went as a group of 6 and we were served quickly and efficiently. My friends got the vermicelli and they had big bowls as well with DELICIOUS spring rolls! Anyway, this takes the #1 bon bu hue spot for me so far! It'll be impressive to beat it.

Very popular restaurant with lots people waiting in line but waiting time is short. Lots of food variety and they are all delicious. Great portions as well! Bring couple friends if you wanna try multiple dishes.

I absolutely love Pho Ahn Vu! Every time I go there, I'm amazed by how flavorful their pho is. The deep, rich broth is so comforting and the portioning is always generous. Even though it's a bit more expensive than other places, it's definitely worth every penny. There are usually long waits but it's understandable considering how popular the place is! - Matthew Young Im

Had to wait 30 minutes for a seat but it was well worth the wait! .. and this was at 1:35!I had the bowl of half phong fish vermicelli. It had real fried fish as well as fish cake. The veggies were plentiful and the soup was amazing, a little tart, and dilly. Truly authentic Vietnamese!

I went to the new Burnhamthorpe location, and I must say, I was rather disappointed. I ordered the vermicelli platter and the portion was extremely small. Didn't expect the shrimp portion was tiny and they even split the shrimp in half so that it looks like there are lots. Would I go back, most likely not. Parking in the strip mall was brutal as well as it is shared with many other stores, so spots are limited.

I had a #48 (grilled pork, spring roll vermicelli) and it was delicious. The price is a little more expensive than other places but so is the portion. Dishes are perfect for tomorrow's lunch or to share with a friend. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes :D

I ordered the deep fried crab and it was absolutely delicious - I've been dreaming about it ever since! Just one thing to note, they only accept debit payments. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great Vietnamese food with a twist.

Great Viet restaurant 👍. You get a real and traditional Viet cuisine here. Pho is excellent, the soup is soooo good 😌. Weekly special spicy soup noodle (only available during weekend) big portion and the taste so rich. Mango salad is a big surprise, little spicy with charcoal grill shrimp…amazing. Environment and staffs are fine. 5 stars restaurant.

They ran out of Bun Bo Hue which was the reason we came early on a Saturday afternoon. The rolls and pho didn’t disappoint. Bit on pricey side but you can tell they use quality ingredients

  • 5/5 Sally L. 1 year ago on Google
FIVE STARS! Customer service and food are absolutely amazing. This place is so hidden in a plaza just right outside of yorkdale mall. I would’ve never discovered this at all. We ordered the famous chicken wings ($14) which were AMAZINGLY Good, the way they season it and the crunch and fish sauce… tastes Soo good. Highly recommended you try this dish out if you are there. However keep in mind, wait time is (20mins) for them. If you time get them. Next, we ordered the pho special and chicken w fried egg on broken rice. Both of these dishes were delicious. The broth was Soo good and the chicken was seasoned really well. I absolutely would come back and highly recommended anyone looking for authentic viet food.
