The
lady
that
took
care
of
us
deserves
1
million
stars
bc
she
was
running
that
place
like
a
champ.
However,
the
kitchen
staff
was
incredibly
slow.
We
waited
over
2
hours
for
1
order
of
arroz
con
gandules
y
pernil.
Taste
was
good
but
not
authentic
Puertorican
in
my
personal
opinion
(I'm
from
the
island
so
it's
kinda
hard
to
find
the
same
sazón
in
the
states).
Portions
were
a
bit
small
for
the
price
but
maybe
is
because
we
are
not
from
the
area
and
I
understand
food
can
cost
more
in
certain
areas.
Tostones
were
not
edible,
literally
so
hard
I
thought
my
tooth
was
going
to
come
off
when
I
took
a
bite.
They
looked
either
old
or
burnt.
I
could
tell
this
place
gets
really
busy
as
there
were
a
lot
of
customers
in
and
out
and
I
also
heard
about
the
owner
being
out
sick
so
maybe
it
was
an
off
day.
Café
con
leche
was
just
warmed
milk
so
I
left
it
behind
and
didn't
even
drink
it
bc
it
was
truly
"Leche
con
café"
not
the
other
way
around
which
is
how
is
supposed
to
be.
One
thing
I
did
not
like
at
all
were
the
empanadas.
Definitely
not
puertorican
nor
cuban
style.
I've
tried
empanadas
from
different
countries
and
I
couldn't
exactly
pin
point
their
style
of
empanadas.
A
typical
beef
puertorican
or
cuban
empanada
is
with
ground
beef,
shredded
chicken
and
flour
dough.
I
was
served
corn
flour
empanadas
and
it
made
me
think
more
of
an
attempt
to
a
venezuelan
style
empanada
but
not
a
successful
attempt
unfortunately.
This
is
not
a
review
to
discourage
anyone
from
giving
this
restaurant
a
try
as
I
got
a
feeling
my
experience
is
not
the
norm
but
hope
my
review
gets
to
the
owner
so
he
makes
sure
quality
stays
consistent
when
he
isn't
around
bc
I
can
tell
by
the
other
reviews
that
they
definitely
do
great
on
a
regular
basis.
I
really
wanted
to
have
that
experience.
However;
unfortunately,
it
wasn't
the
case
for
me.
