We walked into the Arete Salon a couple years ago. No appointment late one evening. Figured we would have to return another day. But was totally thrilled when Peyton and Stephanie greets us and took care of our hair need that evening. We have been returning since. Wonderful caring professionals. I just wanted to shout out to Payton who did such a wonderful job coloring and caring for my hair. I have natural curls that are not so easy to style. Payton and the owner ( Not sure of the name) were very accommodating. It is very difficult to trust a brand new stylist specially when you are not from the area. However, Payton’s knowledge in how to take care of curly hair ? and her extremely nice and warm personality made the entire process stress free. Thank you !!!

My wife and I love going to Arete because of the superb service that we receive. Prior to this, we both went to a salon in Chicago and were treated more like a number than a customer. Barb is always on time to handle our appointments. Additionally, we are extremely happy with our hair styles. I would recommend going to Arete to our friends and family.

I love going to Arete Salon & Spa. It is easy to find in the heart of downtown Palatine. The staff, stylists, nail technician & spa are Amazing! I am always greeted warmly by name & asked if I would like a beverage. The stylists treat their clients with respect. Clients are asked if they enjoyed their last look or if they want a change. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my hair/spa needs!

I’ve been going to Arete for over a year now. It all started with a root touch up with Peyton. She was friendly and I left looking and feeling better. I went a few more times, then also booked a haircut with Peyton. I’ve been back for cuts and colors ever since. Peyton has a great sense of style, she offers suggestions, asks for feedback and listens. I have curly hair and she knows just how to cut it. Days and weeks after my appointments, I look in the mirror and say, “She nailed it again!”. Great salon with excellent products and a warm, welcoming and fun staff. Highly recommended!
