If
you
had
told
me
a
year
ago
that
I
would
be
a
member
of
a
church
today,
I
would
have
laughed
hysterically.
I
have
not
“belonged”
to
a
church
since
I
was
probably
eight.
As
a
child,
the
church
felt
so
militant-
going
through
the
motions
and
serving
the
time,
but
I
always
felt
like
it
was
a
punishment.
My
experiences
in
church
and
Catholic
school
gave
me
a
sense
of
God
and
Jesus'
presence,
and
I
believed
in
God,
but
never
believed
he
was
bound
to
a
location,
so
if
I
needed
to
pray,
I
could
do
that
anywhere.
Last
August,
my
husband
and
I
had
a
discussion
about
instilling
morals
and
beliefs
in
our
daughter.
We
considered
returning
to
church
for
her
upbringing.
We
decided
to
return
to
what
we
knew
and
grew
up
with,
and
I
just
couldn’t.
The
service
had
that
same
militant
feel;
I
had
no
idea
what
I
was
supposed
to
take
away
from
the
sermon,
and
my
daughter
kept
asking,
“Can
we
go
yet?”
We
went
home,
knowing
that
was
definitely
not
our
path
back.
My
husband
began
to
research
other
churches,
I
personally
felt
that
faith
should
be
a
joyful
celebration.
Eventually,
my
husband
stumbled
upon
a
sermon
posted
by
Junior
online
and
I
kept
expressing
my
interest
in
attending
the
church
with
the
windows
across
from
Randhurst.
Shortly
after,
we
received
a
flyer
in
the
mail
about
The
Bridge,
which
caught
our
attention.
In
October,
we
made
the
decision
to
attend
this
church,
and
it
turned
out
to
be
the
best
decision
we
could
have
made
for
our
family,
our
faith,
and
building
a
genuine
community.
What
they
offer
at
The
Bridge
is
a
celebration
of
faith!
I
can
vividly
recall
the
first
sermon
by
Pastor
Scott,
and
I
knew
I
would
be
coming
back.
This
church
has
brought
so
much
value
into
our
lives
in
unexpected
ways.
Our
perspective
on
life
and
our
ability
to
serve
with
intention
has
been
transformed
by
our
belief
and
comprehension
of
God's
daily
influence
in
our
lives.
If
you’re
seeking
a
deeper
connection
with
God
and
Jesus
Christ,
this
church
is
the
perfect
place
to
celebrate
your
connection
and
faith.
Whether
you’re
looking
for
guidance,
support,
help,
hope,
healing,
or
simply
a
sense
of
community,
WE
highly
recommend
you
come
to
THE
BRIDGE.
You’ll
find
everything
you
need
to
enrich
your
life
and
grow
spiritually.
Finally,
I
just
want
to
share
that
I
was
baptized
with
my
husband
in
April,
and
because
The
Bridge
is
expanding
into
Glenview
this
September
I
am
supporting
the
opening.
I
want
to
welcome
others
into
this
community
and
space
the
way
we
were
welcomed,
so
if
you’re
on
the
fence
about
coming
back
to
church
or
coming
for
the
first
time,
hop
on
over
and
we
will
welcome
you
at
the
door.
