Food was good and the atmosphere was really nice besides being a bit hot inside.

I went here again after giving the 5 stars, I wasn’t happy that they charge me a service fee on top of my tip. Without knowledge of this, I asked for the receipt and notice it, I did not mentioned anything to them because I was with my daughter and didn’t want to make it a big deal, I learned my lesson, will start cooking at home for now on. I won’t be back. Good food but I won’t over pay by having them charge me a service fee and on top of that gives me an option to tip as well on their card reader after the fact that they took 15 percent of a service fee.

The food was too salty and not fresh at all. Everything we had that was fried tasted like leftovers reheated in the microwave. Compared to what this restaurant was before you can tell they don’t have the same chef’s because the quality of the food is very poorly. I believe this does not leave a good impression on the restaurant and is not a great representation of what Caribbean food is like, because Caribbean food taste very fresh and balanced. The service is not there at all, they literally forget that you’re there. Don’t asked how the food is or nothing. Never coming here again!

Atmosphere was great along with service, food had a lot of potential but It was drowned in ketchup and mayo. We tried a lot of thing and everything was soaked in grease, the tostones, the empanadas, the stew. I have a lot of Caribbean family and know what the food is suppose to taste like, I really didn't understand why they had good food drowning in ketchup and mayo and grease. It was also really expensive for what it was, I'd recommend to stay away until they figure it out.

Second time going. Staff are very nice and food is amazing. The Virgin Pina Coloada is delicious along with their other shakes, of which they have many options. The food tastes authentic, and the interior and exterior of the restaurant makes the expert feel complete.

I’m Puerto Rican from NYC. So I know what P. R. dishes should taste like. I ordered Monfongo with pork. The pork was off to the side and was so dry! There wasn’t any juices poured over it. The plaintains were bland! I couldn’t bring myself to finish it. Typically, the plantains are mashed with garlic and pork (pernil). Then sauce is drizzled over it. I won’t be going back to this restaurant.

I gotta say this place was fantastic love the colorful environment and the nice vibe. The food was phenomenal! The cooks did beyond great job. Have you ever had the feeling your so full but you want to keep eating! That's what this food will do to you. I got the alcapurrias as an appetizer and let me tell you this, I've had them alot growing up until now being a part of the Puerto Rican (hispanic) culture, these were the best ones I ever had being perfectly crunchy on the outside but so flavorful and soft and meaty in the inside. The tripleta sandwich was by far the best I've had in a while loaded with savory meat. Last but not least the bistec cabello. Almost tasted like my mothers home cooked Puerto Rican dinners. But it was great, loved the 1st time experience with the awesome food and friendly staff 5 stars all the way.

La Caribeña was suggested to us by a friend. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from outside, but definitely had a “wow” factor once you open the door. The food was good and the portions seemed pretty good. Our waitress never came back to our table to check on us, which cost the restaurant money because we were going to order more, but couldn’t get her attention until it was time to leave. She also tipped herself 15% on our party of 3 which was not a deserved amount based on the lack of service. (While it was busy, it was not so busy that a waitress could not even check on our table.) (probably would have been 5 stars with a different waitress) Parking is on the street and the restaurant did not appear to be handicap accessible. All in all, it was pretty good so, give it a try!

The food was delicious and filling! Our waitress Maziel was super attentive & sweet! This is my favorite spot in Milwaukee!

While the Cubano was very tasty, the fact that our appetizers and another party's fries never came? Oh, the 15% surcharge on the check, while its not mentioned anywhere, placards, or the menu. Must be ready for no booze here.

Loved the atmosphere. I'm Cuban and this food was authentic! I had some pork, mofongo, yuca fries, and of course, a nice malta. It tasted delicious. The staff was also nice.

The restaurant was great. The Skirt Steak with Tostones is my favorite. Our server was Eyla and she greeted us with a warm Chicken Noodle Soup. She was very assertive and recommended my friend with a great Cod Fish. ¡Me ENCANTO 🇵🇷!

Mariel very nice girl! Love the “flan” —- this could have been a great review had the waitress not written her own review. Love the food (note I do not eat flan!), restaurant is clean and in good repair, tonight the music was quit loud. Now to service… it was fine once it got started however it took quit a while for the wait staff to come and take our order. So long that I had to ask another waitress to send her over. Then…she even wrote her own review once she showed me where to provide a review for the restaurant. Not cool! Will go back again however will not provide another review… not interested in someone else writing reviews for me.

Maziel was amazing, attentive, and very informative about the food. She went above and beyond to make my first experience here worthwhile. I will definitely be returning. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and felt like home. Everyone was kind and I appreciate that. Excellent all around.

Maziel was an AMAZING waitress. Accommodated our group even though we showed up super late (we didn’t know closing times). She brought us some dessert as well! She was super sweet. We will definitely come back!

You walk in the door and smell all the good food. The service was excellent. Maziel was very kind and always checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back with the family again. Great job

The Cuban sandwich was the best thing we got. And there were 8 of us there. Food was too pricey. Carne frita was hard and dry. And too hot inside. They only sell acapurias by 4. And they were not cooked enough. So I had no choice but to get 4 even though I only ate one. Service was disappointing as well. It was a little busy but to have our waitress come to our table 3 times is unacceptable. Once to order. The second time was with our drinks. And the 3rd time was with our food. I had to ask for our bill on our way out. . There aren't enough Puerto Rican restaurants in Milwaukee to have a bad one. 😢

Terrible quality three sandwiches for $38.20 they wasn't done properly, sandwiches we're cold meat was old. Basically I purchased 3 pieces of bread for almost $40.00. Service sucks and on top of that they didn't have any change to return to me and try keep my change. Better going to the Spanish trucks

The food and customer service were excellent. Definitely will eat there again.

I ordered the pollo frito with arroz and a side of tostones with mayoketchup and passion fruit juice. The food was great I would say the portion for a side of tostones was less than I would have expected as compared to what came with their entrees. The passion fruit juice was premium.

I'm honestly surprised at how bad this place was with the high Google reviews. I had ordered delivery and when it arrived I was a bit surprised by the portion size for the price, then I tried it and it was so bland and dry I could only eat a few bites, same for my partners meal, just bland, dry and gross. Huge disappointment, I'll be sticking to the much better more local place.

The service and the food were great. I had fried tilapia with rice, beans and a small salad. The ambience was perfect. Everything there reminds me of a Latin country. Also, the restaurant is very family oriented.

The food is not good, I had a bad experience with empanadas, bandeja paisa that's not Latin food. I'm Colombian and my 30$ really hurt 🤦🏻‍♀️ Besides thier stuff wasn't nice and gentle.
