There's nothing better than a hotpot on a cold day. I can honestly say it was the best hotpot I've ever had in Melbourne. Everything was absolutely amazing! We went with the large sharing hotpot of TomYum and Tomato flavours and highly recommend it to whom can't eat too spicy. All vegetables and meats were fresh and tasted fantastic, the high price-performance seafood and different types of sliced wagyu were highlights. The dipping sauce buffet contains many kinds of traditional Chinese hotpot sauce ingredients and it was interesting to mix up sauces simply following the recommendation recipes (The soy sauce-based secret sauce deserves a promotion). The food arrived quickly. Well-training staff provided an incredible and attentive service that guided us to cook different food in the right way. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the restaurant brought great eating enjoyment for us. Could not ask for a better place to dine together with families and friends, highly recommend it to everyone who wants to try the authentic Chinese hotpot!

With friends to eat hot pot, we highly recommend the chicken/ pork tripe pot base and tomato soup pot base, you can taste the fresh tomatoes. After eating is not diarrhea! Very clean! We especially recommend the beef roll and lamb roll, the meat is delicious, as well as the black pork tripe and boneless duck palm. Will come back to eat again!

Super Chinese hot pot!!! Even local people can try, one spicy and one non-spicy, loving chicken broth with fish maw sooooo much!!! Also, thanks for the attentive service here. Always having the staff helping to add soup, adjust the fire and removing the empty plate. Looking forward to next time. :)

Amazing experience! We're quite experienced hotpot goers, and the staff were absolutely fantastic, attentive, and treated every table like a culinary journey. All ingredients were very fresh, the chefs were extremely detailed in the preparation, and the whole experience was just easy and enjoyable. This would be our best and favourite hotpot that we can remember, and we'll be back!

In here you can get tables with individual pots or one sharing pot. Great selection of hotpot ingredients and decent choice of toppings for the sauce bar. The mala soup is fragrant and not as spicy as it looks. The collagen soup was a little disappointing, lacking any free ingredients that you would normally expect to get. Best hot pot restaurant to date. you order through the app. Super quick service, everything was presented very well and all VERY tasty and fresh! Love their wagyu barbie & Teddy in the spicy broth. Love the chicken soup base, full of flavour and silky texture. Perfect for a cold day dinner! All the ingredients are pretty fresh. DIY sauce area is clean. Staffs are very friendly. They also got a machine to help you get rid of the smell on your clothes, most importantly it’s free of charge! Highly recommend to try this place out!

Better Than I Thought The hot pot experience is not the best but some of the soup is decent and the tom yum soup is actually pretty good The meat selection is limited and they are adequate but the portion of the Vegs and Meats are quite small for the price. The restaurant is quite small and cramped but the service is quite decent. The sauce bar is pretty decent (see the recurring theme) Overall it’s a decent hotpot place but the tom yum soup is genuinely good. So guve it a try if you around

We come here for lunch and dinner. The server was very attentive and the chicken broth with the pork tripe was the star of all broths. Our entire meal was delicious. The 1 metre long lamb is the best thing you can get here, so worth the money. It has the cute bear that melts away in the soup.

Hotpot here is served in medium or large pots (to share) and fully customizable: First, you select a broth - they even have several vegan options. Then, you select ingredients for the "fondue" and add them to the boiling pot. There are a variety of vegetables, mushrooms, starches as well as many different kinds of tofu products, which are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. When your ingredients are cooked through, you can eat them right away or enjoy them with one of the sauces from the sauce bar. I was very excited to finally have the chance to eat hotpot again. On top of that, they offer more vegan-friendly soup options than I have ever had in China! I love the diversity of ingredients you can add into your hotpot! It was great to see various kinds of tofu as well. You order via an app, which provides also names and images of the ingredients. There is free wifi in the area, so using your smartphone should be possible. The restaurant is quite large and well-known in the neighborhood. Service is minimal but okay.

Food was delicious and the overall experience was pretty good. The individual hotpot was interesting idea, as you could have your own flavour and spice level to your liking. However the service was somewhat lacking as they had forgotten some of our orders (soup bases and drinks) and had accidently spilled some soup on one of us.

This was my first hot pot experience and it was great! The food was amazing, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. They not only saved us from our novice "white girl" palates being scorched but also guided us through the whole experience. A special thanks to Osbur and Tom for their kindness!

First holiday trip to Melbourne and dying to eat real good hotpot on such a cold day, and found this authentic China style hotpot at Spicy World Hotpot in Chinatown Melbourne. Remind me of my days in China, the aroma, the freshness of the food, and the fun of cooking and dipping in sauces. Will definitely come back.

Wow . We had the most amazing dinner here . The service was exceptional ( they explained everything to us how things work and how long it took to cook the food ). The food was great, lots of flavour. If you are ever in China Town, pop into Spice World hot pot . You won't be disappointed.

This hot pot is pretty good, The chicken fish maw soup is really fantastic. I’m traveling from Sydney , first time here , everything are really amazing. ! Been treated very very well. Hospitality really good . Definitely come back again. And grab some friends visiting. Yumm!

Highly recommend this spice world hot pot who loves luxury hot pot. It’s a bit expensive but you won’t ever regret to have that restaurant after you eat. Mushrooms base soup is the best. You should try fried pork belly and lychee beer. ;) 10/10
