A wonderful local Japanese casual dining, food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is spacious with a cosy vibe, there is even a baby change table (an added bonus!). Glad to have found this new hidden gem and we will definitely be back :)

Friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. Definitely a go-to place if you live nearby. Plenty of parking spots at Coles which is just 2 mins away around the corner.

I like the ambiance, cozy and warm, with smooth music. Food was lovely too, good amount with reasonable price. Recommend if going on a date, going with family, or just want to have a Japanese meal set by oneself. Will come back for sure.

Been here twice now, once with a friend and once with family. Generous, yummy, fresh, wide selection of Japanese cuisine (incl veg options), great service in a cosy restaurant! There was something for everyone on the menu - great variety of entrees too. We love their Unagi Don, amazing set meal, tempura and sushi was delicious. Everything was served beautifully. Thank you.

Nice and spacious casual Japanese restaurant with friendly service. Sashimi and sushi taste fresh, aburi salmon rolls are delicious. We also love the seafood and soft shell crab tempura.

Very quiet and serene restaurant in the lower side of Northcote, great for families or if you want a relaxing place to get away from the busy high st. Food is decent and good portions in the set menu. Service and friendly and prompt would go again!

First time to Haru and I will definitely come back. The portion of food is pretty big with affordable price. Family friendly as well.

The food looked so good that we ate most of it before we remembered to take photos! We ordered to share among 3 people katsu don, tempura udon noodle soup, karange, gyoza and tofu. Food was fresh and yummy, service was great and friendly, and the environment was very cozy that we enjoyed dining and hanging out here.

Stopped into Haru Dining for Saturday lunch and had the Chicken Katsu Bento. Really amazing selection of side dishes that came with it. Would definitely come back.

Really delicious meal at Haru Dining. We got the meal set with teriyaki salmon. It had a wide variety of yummy portions. Was very filling. Lovely staff and meals came out quickly. Really happy to have a great Japanese restaurant located so close to my home

The best tempura I’ve had in a long time, and the takoyaki took me back to Osaka! The staff were so friendly they presented my toddler with chocolate ice cream (which was all she’d been asking for since we left for dinner. How did they KNOW?) Definitely among the best Japanese in Melbourne!

We got the sets (unagi and chicken teriyaki) as well as the soft shell crab roll. Servings were very generous! I love Japanese food so it’s a great little place to add to the list, vibes were hidden gem 💎 - will be back!

Was a lovely experience. Family run business with lovely and respectful staff. Food was delicious and good sized serving. I would return again if I’m in the area.
