We visited Aagaman Restaurant located in Bay Street Port Melbourne for a Saturday lunch. We started with a couple of drinks, Nepal Ice Lager and a Passionfruit & Chilli Martini. The Lager was served in a tall glass, great size! The Martini was so tasty. A lovely passionfruit and orange flavour with a great kick of chilli. We couldn’t decide on what to order so we went with the Aagaman Ko Bhoj which is $54.90 per person. There was a great selection of entrees, mains and a wonderful dessert to finish off the delicious dishes. Each dish had wonderful flavours and complimented each other. The basket of breads were go good and a must to soak in the delicious sauces. We thank Aagaman for having us. We experienced Aagaman Restaurant as guests, and all of our opinions are genuine and are based on our experience at the time of our visit.

We knew nothing of this restaurant and chose it on the basis of its location between various family households across Melbourne. We could not have chosen better, in fact it was so good we are booking it again for our next family dinner. The food was tasty, the set menu generous and the staff was willing to vary the set menu to accommodate our tastes. We comprised 7 adults and a 13 month old who was welcomed enthusiastically. We arrived as strangers and left feeling we were valued customers. If you are considering visiting then do!

Incredibly tasty dishes, we had the goat curry and eggplant curry, as well as tandoori chicken. Service was helpful and prompt. Comfortable and clean surroundings. Reasonably priced too!

Beyond our expectations by seeing nowadays the taste of usual Indian or Nepalese restaurants. Far better quality of food and service. Beautiful interior and ambiance. Lil small portions but no complaints quality matters more then quantity Overall a perfect would recommend and definitely gonna come back soon

Came here with a group of friends, the garlic naan is one of the best I’ve had and not too expensive. Id be happy to just eat that. We also has the chicken tikka entree, amazing soft chicken. The Himalayan goat curry, again really good. The service was also top notch.

Very nice Indian/Nepalese restaurant. Atmosphere in this place was very pleasant and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely divine and I cannot wait to go back and try the other curries and dishes on the menu! Definitely recommend it 100%!

Went there yesterday for my friend’s birthday and was an outstanding experience. Food and service both 10/10. Been there a few times and have received excellent and the same service every time, even though they are always busy it doesn’t affect the quality of food and service. Great staff and great Indian food. All the Indian dishes were delicious, but having ‘Nepalese’ in the restaurant name, was expecting more Nepali dishes as well and mo:mo could have been better. Apart from that, great place for dinner.

The food here is really good! The garlic naan and almond cashew chicken were probably the best mains.

Delicious rich curries, containers packed full and well-priced. Got it delivered via their website and it arrived in good time. Will order again.

I had a delightful experience at this Indian Nepalese restaurant! The customer service was outstanding, and the ambiance with charming table cloths and lights created a perfect setting for dates. With ample indoor seating and a variety of tasty curries, accompanied by fresh bread, it's a fantastic spot. The staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable, making it a top choice for a satisfying meal.

Quiet on a Sunday night but still enjoyable. Food was really yummy. Loved the butter chicken and mango lassi. Would come back 😌

Usually have done takeaway from here but enjoyed dining in more, presentation is nice and items like naan are better in person when fresh. Got pano puri, chicken momos, garlic naan, eggplant masala and lamb Rohan Josh and would recommend them all. Service was attentive and good. BYO option makes for a great value for dining out too.

I really enjoyed having birthday dinner here! I can recommend without any doubt the Palak panner and kashmiri naan, it was delicious. The naan was perfectly balanced, right amount of nuts and fruits with a crunchy texture however still maintaining some softness. Palak paneer was creamy and not too fatty , right amount for 1 person (however through 3/4 of the dish I was satisfied already!). The atmosphere was nice and staff amazing (they even put Happy birthday song), food arrived in perfect time. Suggestion only for the ice cream to be served less frozen.

The food is 5 stars. It's beautiful every time and for that we keep going back and will no doubt continue to do so. There just seems to be no communication between front of house and the kitchen. Every time we order there is a mistake. A missing or changed item. You question the front of house staff who are lovely, they run into the kitchen, you hear a big argument/debate, they come back and tell you 'sorry the kitchen ran out' etc. every time. The food is well worth going for but someone in their kitchen is ruining the experience, unfortunately.

It was my husband’s birthday dinner with family. As I went through the menu there were many vegetarian options and Non veg options which showed equality so everyone can have options to eat something. When the food came in I HAD to take photos! The food looked gorgeous and the looks didn’t fool us, it was delicious! The service was very nice too. They offered sparklers for the cake and brought party poppers. One man even took a video for us and generally the others were smiling which made us feel welcomed. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to others and I would comeback! Service was outstanding.

Good things first - staff were very polite. Honestly, if you are Indian, especially South Indian who grew up in India, it is highly likely that you will not like the food at this place at all. I looked at the reviews and thought it was good, but then noticed most reviews were from people who aren’t Indian, so it’s probably one of those restaurants that modify the taste of authentic Indian food to suit the Western palate - which is not a bad thing; however, if I go to an Indian restaurant, I am looking for authentic Indian flavours, which this place simply did not offer. Butter chicken and chicken madrasa honestly tasted like the same curry, very low spice levels, and both curries were sweet. The chicken tikka was also surprisingly sweet. Our curries and entre were put on the table way before the naan and rice arrived, so the food got cold. We did not finish anything or even take the rest home.

Recently moved to the area and discovered this gem! The staff is very attentive and always had a smile. Made us feel very welcome and the food was perfect - hot and very Yum. Nice blend of food options and cocktails too. Definitely won’t be disappointed and a big thank you to the chef and the lovely people who served us on the day.. ❤️🙏

There was hair in the Butter Naan we ordered. Naans are not cooked properly and it would cause indigestion. Coconut rice had too much coconut milk added to it. The curries were just ok. The restrooms were horrible. I don't understand why the waiter asked my wife if we had a reservation multiple times(while I was parking my car) when the restaurant was empty from the time we walked in and walked out. Never regretted having food in a restaurant like this one.

Only my second visit and all I can say is that the curries were way too sweet! We ordered the set menu and most disappointing was the fact that that both the curries tasted exactly the same. Seekh kebab was bland, malai chicken ok. Momos were dry this time. Chilli sauce didn’t arrive when we asked for it, so we quietly ate the momos without the sauce. At the end when we were asked how the food was, we politely reiterated that we didn’t enjoy it this time, there was no apology. Slow service, 45 mins between the mains and the entrees this time. Had to insist to have the dessert brought out quickly because I didn’t want to waste another 20 minutes. Safe to say, I won’t be back after my experience tonight. So disappointing after my last visit. ☹️ Hidden gem! Fresh and soft naans and delicious curries. Great tasting momos and friendly and attentive service. The ambience and the drinks were also top notch. My new favourite! ♥️♥️♥️🤤🤤🤤🤤

5 stars isn't enough ! Great food, perfect service, and when they are allowed to have people dine in (without covid restrictions) it's wonderful atmosphere 👍 As a bonus- so many vegitarian options for the entrees and mains!

We are not a big Indian food eater but thoroughly satisfied with the experience. The food tasted great, the chilli chicken (which is highly recommended) was very similar to the Chinese style cooking. Lamb curry got a little heat to it so be careful. Okra curry was also really good. Food - 9 Service - 10 Vibe - 9 Price - $$$

Food was really good for the food I'll give 5 stars but as the toilet area was not clean and When I checked my bill there was $30 extra for drink which I didn't have, could be mistake but no one like this kind of mistakes,this brings the stars down.

Absolutely visit this restaurant. We stumbled upon Aagaman on date night and they were extremely accommodating & showed us their favourite and most popular vegetarian meals on the menu - which were absolutely delicious. The staff were so friendly and happy and treated us like they knew us as regulars, and looked after us in our needs of one partner who loves spicy, and one who needs mild. We can’t wait to come back, thank you.

This was literally the best food I’ve had in ages. All three of my friends loved it and we couldn’t stop raving about it. The service was exceptional and the waitress’ recommendations were elite. It also came out super fast which was a bonus. Yum 5/5 would get again.

The platter cost around 29 dollars in Menulog and you get about 9 piece of meat! And the momos are like 10 dollars for 6 pieces! I am actually shook for the amount and the quantity of the food. Never ordering again!

We were regulars, One of us didn’t had second dose yet. They won’t accept dine in due to covid. However, outdoor is ok. I mean how does that makes sense? So disappointed.

The restaurent was like any other indian rest in melbourne. The staff is extremely polite and serves you with a smile always. All dishes are good , except that, for indians who are adapted to that extreme spice level you wont feel the spice in the dishes.
